00:00great that first moto but statistically he is better in the second moto i suspect the number
00:0430 is going to be up near that front if he gets a great start and so many contenders that
00:09everyone
00:10talked about no one talked about this one nick romano who was just hoping to stay on with his
00:14team as a fill-in rider was running in a podium position for a lot of moto one and ended
00:19up fifth
00:19so a solid performance by the rider from new york city and let's see if he can continue that
00:25and if he does i think you're going to be seeing him racing for this squad throughout this year and
00:30maybe even next no pressure nick romano as the riders ready the mechanics start to back away
00:36there's seth hamaker who is a runner up in moto one that was actually a career best in pro motocross
00:42for him remember both motos count together for the overall the fly racing 30 second card is up who
00:49will be the first overall winner of the year in the 250 class we're going to find out because the
00:55reps
00:55are up
01:05julian vomer leads them in but he goes a little wide still able to control it michael moseman there with
01:11him at hamaker
01:14great start by julian rough start that first moto so better start for him we saw him earlier today
01:19having some speed been your third fastest qualifier good start for him and is that you said michael
01:25boseman yeah good to see him up he was on the far inside gate close to it so was able
01:30to sneak
01:30around and you got your second moto uh first moto finished second place seth hamaker up there in a
01:35good position i don't see levi kitchen oh that's what i'm looking for that has been the problem with
01:39kitchen the last year and a half has been the starts wasn't a great one in moto one but not
01:44bad enough to
01:45stop him julian vomer off to the race is already pulling away from both of it and hamaker yeah this
01:51is pretty easy when you have that speed you come out get the whole shot you're young you just go
01:55for
01:55it and you realize man i'm pulling away from these guys but it's a long race want to make sure
02:01you have
02:01enough for the tank and julian always has had the speed as he's starting to pull away well he led
02:06seven
02:07laps in the second moto at this race a year ago boomer but this is a little different because he's
02:12coming back
02:13from a devastating back injury looking good as hamaker attacks moseman uphill right hand turn coming
02:19can he get it yeah a great i thought he almost had that pass or he did now yeah yeah
02:26just a racing
02:27incident you know mike was trying to close that door but seth was moving forward i thought he had to
02:31pass earlier but tough break for michael looks like he's got a couple more guys is that levi yeah it
02:37is
02:37levi good eyes there james so that's the moto one winner and the bike he goes down a second time
02:43so i'm going to say bye bye to the overall win for the 47. oh man something's wrong yeah it
02:49looked like
02:50his bike spun out his hand the way he was looking but yeah this is it i mean if that
02:54bike runs this is
02:55that championship you got to get up and move forward that front brake issues maybe you see the head guard
03:02is pointing almost straight down on the right side oh disaster and you're right it quickly shifted
03:08from you're right forget the overall you got to salvage points you got to get into the top 20 to
03:13score
03:13any points at all as boomer continues to roll yeah just a great opportunity for god's like julian had a
03:20tough first moto um you know finished it but didn't wasn't where he wanted to be but a great opportunity
03:27for the guy in second place set finishing solid now you got julian you probably feel like you've
03:33been racing he might come back towards you but your biggest competition and your teammate was on the
03:37ground got to make it work well how about this story what a comeback julian bomair broke his back early
03:46in the smx playoffs last year and was told first doctor he went to you're not even going to touch
03:51a
03:51motorcycle for 12 months which would have been september of this year well here we are in may and he's
03:57not just on a motorcycle he is leading the best in the business out on track he's logged a lot
04:04of
04:04laps on but he pushes back against that he believes he can get it done anywhere right now he's getting
04:09it done for sure here yeah he's getting it done and the biggest thing he's always had speed it's just
04:13really the injuries and i said earlier when that doctor said that he probably said have a nice day
04:18because we we believe we can overcome anything and with julian like you just stay out here you know he's
04:24he's good at this track and um you never know what might happen if you roll this thing off great
04:29start dope canin dudney is third that's the rookie who is very strong in moto one now the overall results
04:37are probably going to get quite jumbled from here and some of the good contenders that we saw moto one
04:43who have bad starts now begin to move forward but at least at the moment you're looking at a hammocker
04:48boomer dudney podium yeah that door is open they've all kicked it in and look how close it is
04:55um you know and these rookies right here they'll only get better first moto you know solid finish now in
05:02that top three and no real pressure behind him so if he can just keep it going this race will
05:07open up
05:07you got to think about fitness that comes in so far it's pretty good and oh that's dax bennick he
05:13was
05:13running well i think right around that fifth place spot and now he has crashed yeah it looks like
05:18it's in the same section that eli uh went down it's a high speed section and he's off the racetrack
05:24so either got a little bit of help or he went in too hot nonetheless uh tough break for daxton
05:30here's dundee originally of iowa then moved to texas and they got picked up by this monster
05:37starry albaha team that means you head to the cairo georgia tallahassee florida state line area and
05:44he's been doing the work and it's paying off right now running third and a lot of hype about his
05:50speed
05:51but we've seen so many young riders who have the speed and aren't translating it to the racetrack
05:56so far so good today for dundee yeah and all it takes is a race like this humps can finish
06:01this
06:02he does have the speed i mean he's riding with hayden deegan um justin cooper through it in a week
06:07so he knows that speed and i think with these young guys just that confidence to believe just
06:12one finish it could propel you to a whole different level so i decided to see if he can hold
06:17this thing
06:17off well you mentioned that theory in the 450 class where you thought how deegan gets his 450 career
06:23started it's really going to be a fork in the road same theory here yeah absolutely i mean i feel
06:29like
06:29this whole 250 class is a reset for all these guys and unfortunately for levi it's almost a reset of
06:35the
06:35past you know you're like man i'm so fast and then he's going to walk away unless a miracle happens
06:40with a day that he should have won overall but he ends up off the podium and not even close
06:45so
06:46but back to kate julian even now i'm set that maker this can spawn him
06:52spawn on to a a career um and really set them up just one race yep and for bomare there's
06:58certainly
06:58no doubts about what he could do coming back from injury his career best is a fourth he leaves the
07:04moto
07:05here's dundee in third you see with the drone count and hammocker up ahead would be the overall
07:10winner with two two scores but only six and a half minutes of this race have taken place yet
07:20that looks really good really clean
07:25i'm trying to get another view here of that crash
07:29it was mozeman battling with hammock or hammocker got aggressive yeah i mean i thought seth had the
07:36pass and then he gets in there michael just goes in there that berm kind of gets in and
07:41that line that seth was on just funnels into michael just a racing incident but unfortunately
07:45michael it's a bad situation to be in
07:48with the points you have to work with this another spot right here and the big moment of this race
07:54you're gonna watch levi kitchen go in here runs in the back of you see joe shimota but for levi
07:59it is a just seems like that's the way last year it was unfortunate for him that second moto starts
08:04the same way but he's got to keep fighting it's kind of funny how that worked it wasn't hitting
08:09most of it he came together with cody's shots but maybe that was because shock was trying to stop
08:14to not hit mozeman then the second time when kitchen went down was due to mozeman yeah it's
08:21really easy to happen especially these opening laps they're in a pack so you imagine yourself
08:25in a crowd of people and somebody in the middle of just stop you run in the back of it
08:30easy to happen
08:30and um you know whatever the case was it's really costly for levi but you see that every race
08:36a pile up on those opening laps so dundee rolling right now in third jt yeah this has to
08:44feel good for caden dunya because we remember in supercross yes he was the rookie of the year
08:49but ironically let's let's say he got pulled for poor performance it wasn't actually going the way
08:55that monster yamaha star racing wanted it to and they said hey let's take some time let's go get
09:00ready for pro motocross and let's come out swinging there and we it's hard to argue with
09:05this qualifying performance and the way he's riding right now that he's not coming out swinging at the
09:09opener well he is and jt a lot of people are talking about what they saw even with his social
09:14media clips about fast he was going in the preseason but you never know if that's going to mean anything
09:20come race day but he's making it reality now because he could be on the overall podium he's right in
09:26the
09:26fight for it but the rider to watch is actually davies cole davies has climbed to fifth and that would
09:32be
09:32enough to get him to second overall and for davies definitely wants to win this title he's showing
09:40solid points up maybe not his best day davies just put it together right now that's exactly what he did
09:46during the supercross and you got to know like he didn't race a lot last year so he's only going
09:50to
09:51get better and if he brings that confidence from supercross that might end well because he ended up
09:55winning a championship pretty easily over there yeah remember davies didn't start the supercross
10:00season on fire it took to round three to get a win here he is at the 37 will i
10:05think a lot of the
10:06reason that people didn't really want to have him on their bingo card here for the outdoor season
10:11is because last year well it wasn't good but at the same time he didn't really get a chance to
10:16show it
10:17he only was there for a few rounds at the end he was coming off injury he talked to me
10:21yesterday and
10:22said how he wasn't prepared because of that injury wasn't able to set the bike up so they were behind
10:27on that and he said just you know he kind of scrambled his way through those last rounds there
10:31and i think a lot of people think oh well in that case he's the supercross guy but he reminded
10:35me too
10:35he's from new zealand and he was on motocross just like everybody else kind of growing up he said really
10:42it was only when ben town he sort of took him under his wing and started teaching him the supercross
10:46skills there but that's where he switched over to there are very few supercross tracks in new
10:51zealand near where he lives and so he said i grew up a monokit so i think it's kind of
10:56narrative
10:56that that's not where his skill set is he's out to prove all of those people wrong and he's doing
11:02a great job here especially if he hangs on to the sober all second yeah i i agree and for
11:06the people
11:07that don't have him on his bingo card i'm sorry to say you probably should stop playing bingo because
11:12this guy is that good i mean you can see it and really just comes down these guys get on
11:16the track
11:17they get that momentum this is what you're going to get and he's trying to challenge rider d francisco
11:23for fourth there's francisco about white rockstar energy husqvarna rider from california definitely
11:29rode this track a lot growing up from bakersfield and he's holding down fourth giving the running
11:35order of that team you got cochran who had a tough first moto back in this one in 18th and
11:41then
11:41bennick who had a good moto going and crashed officially credited right now in 38th so that's
11:47the rockstar husky team which has announced they will not be racing next year as a full factory
11:53outfit now husky is looking to perhaps supply some of the factory motorcycle components to another team
11:59if there are some takers out there that want to lease the components but the rumor is that some of
12:05these young 250 riders will just move over to a ktm 250 factory team so i think that de francisco
12:12and
12:12bennick are going to be okay and have a home next year there are some other riders like i believe
12:17cochran
12:17who are going to be looking for work and it's all about this season to show everybody what they are
12:22capable of rider d riding pretty well right now in fourth yeah rider d had a breakout supercross
12:28season uh finished third but yeah it's a hard spot to be in with all these young guys and even
12:34the
12:34rookies that like there's so many good guys coming up in the amateur program that hold necks and out
12:39here that if you're not performing it's sad to say you'll be looking for a rod no matter how talented
12:44you think you are because the next guy is just as talented and it just continues to go yes that
12:50next
12:50program you mentioned where the amateurs get a chance to race on race day in their own race in the
12:55same
12:56track you're not seeing nearly as many ups and downs almost everybody is either good or great of these
13:03young riders coming through we don't really see uh the complete bust as they would say in other
13:07sports and that just makes it more crowded at the top no absolutely absolutely you'll have the
13:13incidents like we all have but what just levi uh you know up and downs but they don't there's no
13:19bust
13:19jt uh james watching rider de francisco going on i had an opportunity to grab max ancy up here in
13:26the mechanics tower max not the opening round you wanted we saw that huge crash on race day live this
13:31morning pulled off there early in moto one was that just due to the soreness you were experiencing
13:36in that moto yeah i mean uh of course could have been way worse i'm i'm still i'm not broken
13:42but
13:43yeah i'm pretty sore and beat up i couldn't i couldn't really breathe when i was riding the
13:47it was the jumbling around but hey it's what it is i'll uh i'm up here studying watching um i'll
13:52get
13:52some physio done this week and uh i'll be back next week the alpine star medical crew honestly they did
13:57a
13:57fantastic job with me and they were like look get some physio done this week you're gonna be okay
14:02but i mean yeah it was just they can't really drain it or get any of the blood out of
14:06it it's just my uh
14:07my butt is pretty big at the moment so not not ideal but hey could have been worse still watching
14:13my
14:13teammates they're doing well uh dunny in third and and colin uh and fifth the boys are yeah cadence
14:18up their ductile these boys are uh ripping so um good to watch and hopefully i'll be back out there
14:22next
14:23week fine right drill it'll be okay we'll see you hang down let's put a little bit of perspective on
14:27what max is talking about right here he had a crash earlier today in practice and when he's talking
14:33about he's a little sore check out to the left of your screen right here this is max dance to
14:37me
14:37and it's the instant stop so you want to know how tough these guys are he got up rode off
14:43the racetrack
14:44came out and lined up for the first moto and um it was a tough day for him but good
14:49to see him happy
14:50got another moment yeah looking through traffic a moment ago oh and stalled it yeah that's a tough
15:00spot to be at we saw nick morano uh romano do the same thing there's a big kicker right there
15:05so
15:06um they lose too much time but that was uh costly for all right and now hamacre has caught
15:11boomer in a battle for the lead shimoda is 11th after the mistake so a tough one for him after
15:17a good
15:17first moto a tough one for kitchen who is just trying to get into the top 20. he's 21st right
15:24now so it could be half acres day and he's looking to make it a little better as the man
15:29in the green
15:29number 10 looks for the moto win yeah he looks good he's able to close that gap and as i
15:33mentioned
15:33earlier he probably figured julian would get out there but because he hasn't been racing that race
15:38and especially the second moto opening race he might come back towards him and uh seth is probably like
15:44okay so this is what levi felt like that first moto has the speed closing in on the guy it
15:48looked great
15:50halfway through reminder to stock up a monster energy drink at stater brothers which way is this
15:56going to go hamacre looking for an opening on g2 yeah you saw seph really charge into that section
16:04and i think he missed his line i think believe he wanted to get close to him because there was
16:08an
16:08opportunity to pass another one here um but julian did a great job at kind of keeping seth guessing
16:16right there but nonetheless steph makes that pass he's going to close this door and he's into the
16:21lead he guessed right he guessed it keep him guessing well how about this hamacre has never won an overall
16:28has never won a moto and he might get both today will a great performance regardless right jason but
16:35especially considering they were talking about the guys had very little seat time to set up this bike
16:40for pro motocross and that was due to the injury that we sort of referenced earlier so a badly torn
16:47trapezius that's that kind of muscle there in the sort of middle center sort of upper side of your back
16:51of your shoulder area and he said that the rehab that he had to do was basically two weeks long
16:57with doc g
16:57who we got to speak to earlier there um also jet lawrence's physio he said he was there every single
17:03day
17:03monday to friday for two weeks straight go in there in the morning three hours of therapy go get
17:08some lunch come back for two to three more hours of therapy and this is away from home in california
17:13so he couldn't even go home further at this point so really committed to getting back here to racing
17:19fitness and when i said to him kind of you know what toll does that take he said didn't really
17:23matter
17:24because at the end of the day i need to come here knowing that i have done everything that i
17:28possibly
17:28could for set right now guys it is paying off big time
17:33you know what that's a pretty wild story but at the same time anyone who knows seth
17:39the main thing that people say about him is how gritty and how tough he is
17:43so it's almost in a way not a surprise that whatever was thrown at him
17:47you don't even notice when he's out of the racetrack and ah that's why i was just listening like
17:50finding this out you know septus does a great job at keeping the main thing the main thing he goes
17:55out
17:55there focuses on himself doesn't let all these distractions and for most rotters i mean that
18:00would be a gnarly story and an excuse coming in here um and a legitimate one but not seth he
18:06comes
18:07out here and he's fighting i think he also probably knew with julian coming back from injury that probably
18:12wouldn't fight him that much um but sept is here and got his best finish that first moto and might
18:18top
18:19that the second one um going winning this thing and winning overall if you hold on right we just saw
18:25rotter
18:25uh sorry as this battle is going on you got romere dudney de francisco and davies just saw dax bennick
18:33ride off had a crash early in this moto he is done at least for this race but he rode
18:38off the motorcycle
18:39under his own power his bottom box let's see what davies can do how far forward could he go
18:45he's already second overall but championship points still on the line with each position
18:49uh you got to give shout out to kate um in third place these guys have been here for a
18:54few laps now
18:55and much stuff we talk about the supercross champion cole davies he hasn't been able to close the gap
19:02on him so and rider d is trying to put that pressure so again as i said as these laps
19:06goes on just a
19:08little bit of belief in these guys you'll get a finish like if kate can hold on you'll get rods
19:12like
19:13this and then it'll only get better next thing you know he'll be battling it up there with
19:16set up and making for the lead and that's a good move for dudney because the supercross campaign as
19:22jt mentioned did not go as expected davies makes a mistake yeah loses front end and buries it luckily
19:29he's got a little bit of time now maybe i think he was getting to the point where i believe
19:33he was
19:33faster than rider d but he was so close it wasn't able to ride his normal line so we'll see
19:38if he has
19:38that pace if he can close back up with about 10 minutes left 25 points still fighting for that um
19:43that
19:44is the podium position you can see how the overall podium would turn out on the bottom left of the
19:49street it'd be hammock or davies and dudney top three vomera be fourth overall romano would be
19:56fifth romano's best in his career overall is a seventh so it's still a great race day for the 141
20:03running six right now we'll see if davies can reset the teenager out of new zealand talk to his dad
20:09this morning and uh really echoing what will had said in her report they are confident that they
20:16can do this in motocross just the same as supercross what he said is really look at the supercross
20:21races where he's really excelled the nastier the more rutted the track is the better cold navy is done
20:28so his dad wayne kind of thought this track would be a weakness he thinks as we go east even
20:32to
20:33colorado where that track's pretty rutted he thinks cole will get even better yeah i mean he he will
20:37but he he was right i mean cole wasn't as good to me in my honest opinion in some of
20:43those nasty spot
20:44tracks like daytona he was really rushing it but what he did was go to work and he we talked
20:50about
20:50during the supercross like his interest speed was really low he worked on that and as he did you
20:55could see that growth during the supercross season to where he was untouchable nobody in that field was
20:59even close to him so he will get better i think it's more about the hard work of cole davies
21:04rather
21:04than just the track conditions he adapts and um doesn't usually make the same mistake over and over
21:10and he definitely won't stay in the same spot he's moving forward
21:15yeah i think he's shown enough here to everyone realize all right he's going to be in it in motocross
21:20just like he is in supercross and what's wild about this right now is that it would be the first
21:27overall podium for all three riders hamacre davies and dundee and to get back to what i was saying
21:34about judging you mentioned how fleeting that confidence could be after those tough supercross
21:39races that all be gone if dundee could hold on for a podium yeah it it will be you know
21:45it's maybe
21:46not like the pro circuit where you solidify a ride because you know bobby has a lot of guys up
21:50there
21:50looking for that opportunity but for him you know i i believe it's a lot you see just these little
21:56gains as
21:57um cole makes another mistake it doesn't take much because these guys are so close to where if he
22:03finishes thing off don't be surprised a week or two that we're talking about k doug win in his first
22:08ever race that's how good and close these guys are they just got to believe and um this moto might
22:14be that step towards that amazing how quickly things can flip in this game when you start talking
22:21confidence and momentum davies mechanic likes what he sees third in the moto second overall seth hamacre
22:28trying to bring his first win in pro motocross home and by the way as you watch this battle another
22:34one of the young riders on monster yamaha star racing kate meneer battling with the 43 of luxe turner
22:39who's been great today on the toyota redlands barx yamaha by the way i just want to add that hamacre
22:45is
22:46the only non-yamaha rider to win this year he won daytona yamaha won every other supercross now he's
22:51looking to win a motocross look at luxe turning up the heat turned out for what he's like my sister's
22:57going to be there in a couple weeks as well i got to show up but you know this battle
23:00right here i mean
23:01luxe walks that rod that kate's on um so there's there's a lot of pride for these guys and i'm
23:08sure
23:08for you know kate this race is starting to get to the second moto and starting to make a few
23:12mistakes
23:13but still top 10 great great finish if you can hold on jt yeah i think we remember flux turner
23:19telling us that story about how you know before things turned for him and he really started to
23:24make progress he was having to race part-time you'd have to go home work a part-time job just
23:30to make
23:30enough money to go chase his dream go back to riding for a couple of weeks and then rinse and
23:35repeat
23:35that cycle over and over and over and you watch him now he was really turning the corner at supercross
23:42becoming a top 10 top five guy now he's trying to challenge and move towards the top five in pro
23:47motocross it's just a remarkable story of a guy that wasn't even good enough in this sport to be
23:52doing it full-time look at him now yeah and as we watch shimota challenging muneer jt also this is
23:58no
23:59disrespect to that barax yamaha team but in pro motocross having the factory full engine is such a huge
24:05advantage so when you see turner well up in the top 10 you know that guy can ride there's a
24:12great
24:12motorcycle i'm sure under him but there are tricks that the top teams have and he's taking it right
24:17to all those guys shimota looking to take it to muneer now yeah joe's doing what he did that first
24:23moto just unfortunate for him that mistake um cost him earlier but that was a great pass he can hold
24:28on to it he'll be on the outside so he should have the momentum to get through this corner pretty
24:32clean as he does um but yeah you know going back to the yamaha and the better you do the
24:39more parts
24:39you get from factory yamaha and in this class those little bit of parts you see you notice that
24:44difference on the racetrack so the team is getting better the riders get better and um yeah great start
24:50for him and now it's romano battling turner's not settling he's just moving forward he gets veneer
24:57and now he's going after romano hits the break square bump right here there you go cut him off
25:03cut him off there you go nice pass you can see that one coming nick got a little bit of
25:08wide luck since
25:08that that was a pass to quarter pass and yeah continue moving this way forward he's got a chance
25:14hymus you had the in-ear communication with him i'm talking to him about there get the sentence out here
25:21and there's hymus have not seen much of him today he's up ahead in sixth but look you can't tell
25:28the
25:28story both ways but hymus the story has been you've just gotta get points be consistent either so he's
25:33actually doing that today so even though it's not a podium or a race win is that all right for
25:38the 29 i
25:39i don't know yeah i don't know this uh battle for third right here um router d's closing in i
25:45don't
25:46i don't you can't all these results aren't equal okay and and i think chance yes consistency health
25:53is the number one but he's been kind of lost in the mix you know where you kind of start
25:57he's just
25:57been here yeah there's really nothing that i believe from what i've seen that he can pull out
26:02as this battle's getting really good here that he can pull out be like yeah i i have the speed
26:07or i
26:07had this i just had this happen bad start he's just been kind of stuck there so um you know
26:12we'll see
26:13but he's got to get through it and we'll see what happens next week after this one jt and we
26:18just
26:18you remember the top of the show we were talking about the parody in this class and and the inconsistency
26:23in years past that allowed guys like hayden deegan and joe shimota to build these gigantic gaps over
26:28everyone else well look at the way it's shaping up just here today now seth hammaker now he's doing his
26:34thing 47 points that's a really respectable score that's the type of score the championships are made of
26:39but look behind him it's already a 10 point gap to a guy like cole davies and you think about
26:44the
26:45other people that we can we consider contenders that joe shimota's the we like kitchens it's not that
26:51they're necessarily riding poorly but they're not having a great points day so is this going to be the
26:56one that seth hammer going to be super consistent build up this huge lead or is it going to be
27:00this
27:01yo-yo effect where a lot of 30 point days and who can manage the best of those it still
27:07really feels
27:07like 2025 or prior where inconsistency will reign yeah yeah i agree with that yeah jason yeah good
27:15no i i agree with that you know and especially uh for levis these guys are still battling right here
27:21it reminds you what didn't happen in his whole career pretty much the last couple of years so for
27:26him um you know he talked about on the podium consistency you know i want to work on stars don't
27:32worry about getting the whole shot just be up there well he did get the best star he goes down
27:36the
27:36first lap and now he's battling for 16th place and his teammates running away and that's jt mentioned
27:42that points gap so it's going to be difficult for him especially the guy that doesn't nail his stars
27:46is router d turns scrub he was hustling to get dougie there and he finally got it yeah you kind
27:53of
27:53sense here like router d knows like if i can get him now put in a sprint then i pretty
27:57much has this
27:58whole um this third place wrapped up in his moto because kate's going to start just trying to hold on
28:03top
28:03five finish for him it'd be a great day all these riders they know their competition um and probably
28:09what their mindset is so great route by both these guys de francisco third in the photo that would be
28:15a career best for him i feel like today where we're constantly mentioning career best maybe that is the
28:21effect of deegan moving out of the class de francisco would after the tough first moto but what might have
28:28been he was up there on the first lap of the first moto then crashed with all the way back
28:33to the last
28:34was just able to get it inside the points a good bounce back for him here it's a key 19th
28:40in moto one
28:40and third in moto two yeah i'm sure he came in this season you know whether he said it out
28:46in publicly
28:47but inside he probably felt like just a great opportunity for him especially all for that supercross
28:52season and i know the results haven't been there but he's we're stubborn you know he's always had
28:57speed and to have that opportunity and know who you're going to race against he's beat everybody
29:02in this field straight up and down so it's not like he's afraid of anybody opportunity might be
29:07now that first moto was tough for him but great bounce back for him set him up soon we have
29:13found
29:14levi kitchen he's into the point 16th right now he's got landed gordon right in front of him
29:19and every position he could make from here on out would be one championship point to the good
29:24he would be down after a day where he was the fastest rider i would think be down 15 points
29:30on
29:30handmaker if it ends like this fifth overall let's see if he can move up a bit yeah this is
29:35what i want
29:35to see from levi just as i mentioned that first moto with chance hymes that grit i want to see
29:40him get
29:40a bad start you know things aren't working out and just fight your way up you know you look at
29:44this
29:45motorcycle it's bent you know but he's out there fighting and if he can somewhere
29:49get up maybe close to the top 10 or just top 15 be a disappointing day for him but i
29:55think
29:55overall it'd be good for him in the championship jt yeah and you see that uh rider there 872 that's
30:01matisse boireme now he's a mxgp regular he's actually a french national champion as well but
30:07he's over here kind of making a wild card appearance we'll see how many races he ends up at this
30:11summer
30:12but this is a rider who has a lot of experience he was actually on the factory kawasaki mxgp team
30:17at one time so it's you know interesting to see him up here battling with the likes of land and
30:21gordon guys that are much much younger than him he has a ton of experience but yeah just another aspect
30:26of this uh you know smx world championship we always talk about yeah when i saw 27 years
30:32hold on the graphic there i would have said he was north of 30 because it does feel like he's
30:37been
30:37racing overseas for a long long time good to see him out here and representing well on the ktm
30:43bora may now if this ends like this and hamaker wins the race he'll also be the points leader
30:49and i cannot believe this one that team has not led the points since adam c and cerullo won the
30:55title
30:56in 2019 oh what's happening here lux turner just not giving up he has now caught cole davies for six
31:05this guy doesn't get tired yeah no lux doesn't yeah that is a strange stat but i guess he's been
31:10having
31:11you know mitch he's been having a hard time finding his riders so you know he found this
31:15up in the uh lead but we found this one we found this one out front but yeah lux turner
31:20you can see
31:21it coming and his body language compared to cole davies lux is on the move cole seems like he's
31:27struggling with two laps to go but this guy isn't no way uh i think he just needed to show
31:34kind of like
31:34a davies light that he could do it in motocross he hasn't had disastrous results in motocross but no
31:40podiums a couple of force for hamaker last year kitchen now wait a minute he is getting close
31:48to the podium here he's made a couple moves now he's going after derrick kelly on the mx6 kawasaki
31:54and look at the podium map there he is one point off of dudney he just made up that point
32:02they'd be tied
32:03now dudney has the tie breaker with the better second moto kitchen needs one more spot and he will
32:09somehow have salvaged third overall uh this is it you know he's got two laps his mechanic is going to
32:15tell him and he's got what let me see uh that visit my strongest suit about six seconds to uh
32:21bowling it seems like in front of him good job this is yeah i made it yeah did it five
32:27out of four
32:27people baby uh six seconds is going to be a lot to make up in two laps but what a
32:33dig
32:34from kitchen get some clean laps and um yeah i think this is a very impressive ride by him this
32:42again what we want to see be disappointing but with a bent motorcycle and how the day was great start
32:50now what could also happen his time has we said how quiet he is he's in the bottom of the
32:54screen here
32:55on the honda hrc number 29 if he passes dudney that would also give the podium to kitchen yeah it's
33:03actually a great moto uh live chance he's made a lot of passing they both of those guys got around
33:07well they're ahead of cole davies so he can get him as i was saying that championship mentality and
33:13just that grit just that chance hymas and it'll go a long ways for him if he can get around
33:19uh
33:20dudney right here now we're saying it's going to be tough for kitchen to make up
33:24six seconds and two laps but guess what he just went three seconds faster than max vollen the last time
33:30around so if he could replicate that and make the pass he could salvage the podium i don't know if
33:35having cares about any of this he's headed to the win and i don't know if hymas really cares that
33:41he's
33:42affecting the podium he's just riding for himself here yeah this all all these battles right here is
33:47about your mindset going into next week in the next weekend so these are the little battles so it might
33:52not be a win but this could be a win for them dog like oh we're close good second rod
33:57good second moto
33:58just build work on the bike and then come out next week so let's see what they're saying in the
34:05kalisaki pit will i was curious i just came over here to his mechanic just to see what they were
34:09writing there to let him know to see how away levi was that he was that close to that third
34:14spot and
34:14he's just written on the pit bull they have one spot for third so they want him to keep pushing
34:19no doubt levi's put the work in anyway but they just want to let him know where he's at i'm
34:24just
34:24going to tell everybody why the teams pay bonuses for podiums generally around say the twenty thousand
34:29dollar mark for a third overall the 250 class give or take so that's the reason to go for it
34:34in the next minute to two he can make himself 20 grand if he can dig deep
34:42and there's that stat i was talking about the last time this team one of the best ever in the
34:48history
34:48the sport has led the points in this class was 2019 when our man adam c cirolo won the opener
34:56led the
34:57points all year won the title step hamacre is looking to carry the red plate into round two and
35:02hanged out what a great rod i mean overall the whole pro circuit squad is awesome today i mean their
35:09bikes
35:09look good levon looked great earlier that first boat rod great the second moto step that's gotten better as
35:15well nick morano like i mean it looks good so i just hope they can continue this thing but so
35:22proud
35:22of seth and happy for him this guy's a a beast man i've seen him take some hits um and
35:28he keeps fighting
35:28just like this battle for fifth place i think chance knows that this possibly a podium as well i don't
35:34think he cares he's doing the best he can and i i you already know what that's gonna say he's
35:39gonna take
35:39the positive forget the first 48 minutes he rode today he's gonna be thinking about these last couple
35:45laps where he's looking a lot better oh he changed my mind totally i picked up on that all of
35:51a sudden
35:51you're like eh not anymore yeah i'm very fickle jance this is great this is what i needed to get
35:56out of here
35:57exactly we finally saw it and just as he got close to dundee a couple of mistakes dundee pulls it
36:04back out it's the last
36:05lap podium on the line the win is already decided it's going to be seth hamaker the only non-yamaha
36:11rider to win in supercross he's going to do it again in monocross congratulations seth hamaker you're
36:17a winner outdoors great job seth and a great job by julian premier lovely five seconds behind him great
36:25second moto coming off injury you can see how much that means for seth
36:29second moto coming off injury we're waiting here's joe battling the indefatigable luxe turner right to the
36:37line turner is
