00:005 segundos, 4 turns,
00:01all eyes open to the right-hand side.
00:03Courtney Duncan on the green,
00:05Kawasaki with a good jump,
00:07but also Lynn Volk in there as well,
00:09in the yellow and blue,
00:10but it's Daniela Guillen.
00:30On the red plate replaced by the blue one,
00:33and Lotta is trying to chase down Courtney Duncan,
00:36but right now,
00:36Françon is making hardware for Chiara,
00:39as Guillen makes the hay at the front.
00:43Down past pit lane for the first time here then,
00:45we've got a rider down there,
00:47and Françoni goes down,
00:50so the rider who was third in race one,
00:51and third overall at a home Grand Prix in France a week ago,
00:54she's got a lot of work to do here,
00:55but already putting like almost two seconds
00:58into Nelly Franson and Chiara Fontenese,
00:59the rider in red and yellow,
01:00Daniela Guillen is starting to open up a gap here,
01:04so now that Chiara Fontenese has a gap there
01:07in second position,
01:08she's going to try and break down the 255
01:10of Daniela Guillen to try and get onto the rear wheel
01:13as soon as possible.
01:14Behind them we've got Fontenese,
01:15Duncan, Vantrunen, Volk,
01:16Papamire 7, Neves,
01:18the Brazilian in 8,
01:19Jakobsen 9,
01:19and Sulevo is in 10th place,
01:21Barker 13,
01:22Vanderville 14,
01:23and Verstappen down in 17th place.
01:26We've got 40 riders here,
01:28right at the back is Brantoni of course,
01:30and she'll be kicking herself up and fallen
01:32on the opening lap,
01:33and she will probably lose third overall
01:35in the championship after this first race,
01:37but they've put some fresh water down on track,
01:39you can see how greasy it is there,
01:41and Duncan gets tagged by Vantrunen who was ruthless there,
01:45the number one defending champion,
01:47Duncan out of four,
01:48and Vantrunen moves up into that fourth place,
01:51so a bit of a naughty move that,
01:53but two lines into one,
01:54was it the hesitancy there of Corny Duncan,
01:56was it just the aggression there,
01:57and being up the inside of Lotto Vantrunen
02:00that definitely made the difference,
02:01but in the end,
02:03it doesn't matter,
02:04Corny Duncan down on a uphill left-hand turn,
02:08difficult to pick herself up
02:09from that kind of position,
02:11in quickly still,
02:12in fact there she is now,
02:13just rejoining the track.
02:14Yeah, right towards the back of the pack,
02:15and Vantrunen then wasted absolutely no time
02:18in getting straight past Franson as well,
02:19so of course Lotto would have seen
02:21the top two getting away,
02:22here it is again.
02:23Take a look again, yeah,
02:24so yeah,
02:25Corny Duncan just missed her line,
02:28Vantrunen was right there,
02:30two lines into one,
02:31see it again,
02:31look,
02:33snagged her on the way through,
02:34Duncan face plants,
02:35she's got some work to do now,
02:36the only good thing in that scenario is,
02:38it's right at the start of the race,
02:40but you've been down,
02:41it's wet,
02:42your gloves are probably going to be wet as well,
02:43you don't want that,
02:44and all of a sudden,
02:45a lot of work to do for Corny Duncan.
02:48Yeah,
02:48she's come through the first split there,
02:49Paul,
02:50and,
02:52we're just waiting for her here,
02:52look,
02:53yeah,
02:53of course,
02:53yeah,
02:53still changing through on the times there,
02:55getting used to the new screens,
02:56Paul,
02:56sorry about that,
02:56but yeah,
02:57we've got Guien,
02:58and of course,
02:59yeah,
02:59France now dropping back to fourth place,
03:01I believe,
03:02and yeah,
03:03Vantrunen now,
03:04I think that was the move there,
03:04Paul,
03:05of a lady that's made a mess of that first round,
03:07of course,
03:08and then she's got Guien and Fontanese
03:09pulling away at the front,
03:10she needed to make the move fast,
03:11and that's what she's done.
03:12So Guien leads,
03:13Fontanese,
03:142.8 seconds further back,
03:15Vantrunen third,
03:16about 1.7 adrift of the Italian.
03:18France said she was a fast starter in a race last week,
03:21she's another fast starter here,
03:23she's been demoted to fourth,
03:24Lynn Vogt here on the 172,
03:26on the TM,
03:27find yourself in fear,
03:28then we've got Papamaya,
03:29Malou Jakobson,
03:29Duncan in eighth place,
03:31so it wasn't as expensive,
03:33but a fall on the opening lap is not what you want,
03:35so now all of a sudden,
03:37she's going to have to go dig
03:37and go into sort of beast mode,
03:39if you'd like,
03:40to try and claw some points back,
03:42and some positions back,
03:43which I think last weekend,
03:46maybe Courtney Duncan,
03:47and you can imagine,
03:47she's not been at a GP since the final round in 2024,
03:51she missed all of last year,
03:52with some health issues,
03:54she's come back first round,
03:55track was freshly watered and prepped,
03:57for the first practice session,
03:58you know again,
03:59alien conditions,
04:00when you've been off a bike for that long,
04:02so last weekend I think,
04:03was just to sort of toe in the water,
04:04and sort of see how we fare,
04:06but coming into this weekend,
04:07and having spoken to her,
04:08she seems a lot more relaxed,
04:09a lot more ready for it,
04:11got a good start,
04:11obviously didn't want to make that mistake there,
04:13but it was helped somewhat,
04:15by the number one on the Yamaha,
04:16but she's still there,
04:18well placed in eighth place,
04:19and she'll be hoping to,
04:20you know,
04:20make her way to the waterfront,
04:21as quickly as possible.
04:22Yeah,
04:23and she had decent pace,
04:24and time practice there as well,
04:25and she balls,
04:25she was up into fifth place,
04:26ahead of Papamaya Verstappen,
04:28and it's a sign of how bad,
04:29oh dear,
04:29and it's a sign of how bad,
04:31the starts were,
04:32for both Vanderbilt and Barker,
04:33that Duncan's been able to pick the bike up,
04:34and still be in front of the pair of those girls,
04:37so yeah,
04:37for sure,
04:37those two are still going to fight through,
04:39and those two were able to get the better of Duncan in France,
04:43has a week made such a difference,
04:45to Courtney's condition there.
04:47Fontanese here,
04:48still hovering around three seconds,
04:50behind Daniela Guillen,
04:51but look who's lurking,
04:52in the background,
04:53top right corner of your screen,
04:55Lotta van Drunen,
04:56it was 1.7,
04:59doesn't look like that now,
05:00although she was a little bit hesitant,
05:01in that penultimate corner,
05:03this is the end of lap two,
05:04Daniela Guillen with the fastest lap,
05:05of the race,
05:06a 2.03,
05:073.01,
05:08Fontanese four tenths slower,
05:10Van Drunen in the 2.04s,
05:12and she did lose ground,
05:13in the final couple of corners,
05:14to the Italian,
05:15two seconds adrift now,
05:16on that number one,
05:18De Bart's AIT Yamaha,
05:20Volk is up to fourth,
05:20because obviously Franson,
05:22dropping down the leaderboard,
05:23from that fourth position,
05:24a moment ago,
05:25we wait to pick her up,
05:26and when she emerges over the line,
05:29hopefully sooner rather than later,
05:30while Barker goes up into ninth,
05:31Franson,
05:33lost a lot of time,
05:34so I don't know where she fell exactly,
05:36but from fourth down to,
05:38she's still not over the line,
05:40but we did see her,
05:41reemerge out on track,
05:42so very,
05:43very expensive mistake,
05:44there she is,
05:44down in 16th place,
05:46for the JK Yamaha,
05:48so yeah,
05:49not ideal,
05:49but it does promote,
05:50other riders up,
05:51like Papermeyer to fifth,
05:53Duncan to sixth,
05:54and the rest of course,
05:56yeah absolutely,
05:57and yeah,
05:58Lotta there,
05:58well said the first fastest,
05:59sector time of all,
06:00so far in sector one,
06:02the start of the second full lap,
06:03so Lotta trying to close back,
06:05in on Chiara and Daniela,
06:07and yeah,
06:07you can see here visibly,
06:08and of course,
06:09this is the softest section,
06:10in the circuit isn't it Paul,
06:11where they've stacked up the dirt there,
06:12and of course,
06:13naturally all the water will flow there,
06:15so it'll be soft,
06:16it's more choppy there,
06:17it's more like Lotta star conditions almost,
06:19but she really is,
06:20clawing in Chiara,
06:21on that section of the track,
06:22but I think the Italian,
06:23makes it back,
06:24on the second section,
06:25where it's maybe a little bit more half back,
06:26yeah I mean Daniela Guia,
06:27putting in two personal bests,
06:29in sector one,
06:2931.5,
06:3032.9,
06:31by comparison,
06:33Fontanese,
06:33was about a tenth slower,
06:35but the quickest through sector one,
06:37that time around,
06:37was Van Drun,
06:38and there you see,
06:38top of the screen,
06:40she is closed,
06:40right back in on Fontanese,
06:42she's got two purple sectors,
06:44on the lap so far,
06:45so closer,
06:46this time around,
06:47to the Italian,
06:48than she was a lap ago,
06:49where on this part of the track,
06:51she lost ground,
06:51there is Van Drunen,
06:53on the number one,
06:54getting ready to close in again,
06:55De Barth's AIT,
06:56Yamaha supported team rider,
06:58way more efficient through there,
07:00as we re-emerge on the pit lane,
07:01at the end of lap three,
07:03Guillen was 3.2 seconds clear,
07:04at the end of sector three,
07:06we hit the line now,
07:07which is the final sector of course,
07:08another fastest lap of the race,
07:09for Guillen,
07:10eclipsed immediately by Fontanese,
07:12and then by Van Drunen,
07:131.7 separate second and third,
07:154.4 now separate the first three riders,
07:18so Van Drunen,
07:19in the ascendancy,
07:212.032 for your race leader,
07:232.024 for Van Drunen,
07:25has she really now,
07:26got the bit between her teeth,
07:27that's what we want to know,
07:28because she definitely looks like,
07:29the quickest rider out of track,
07:31lap time shows it,
07:32can she keep her head,
07:33in the game,
07:34and not sort of make,
07:35any more mistakes here,
07:37and you know,
07:37all she wants to do is win races,
07:39that's what she wants to do,
07:40win championships.
07:41Yeah for sure,
07:42and Courtney Duncan,
07:42making progress now,
07:43back up to fifth place already,
07:45just got past Larissa Papermeyer,
07:47on that lap,
07:47so the New Zealander,
07:48really starting to make things,
07:50ground here,
07:50she is now closing in on Lynn Valk as well,
07:52so the TM,
07:53right in front of Courtney,
07:54on that TRT race at Kawasaki,
07:56making a really good recovery,
07:58from that early crash,
07:59and yeah Courtney for sure,
08:01looking good,
08:01but I like how the way,
08:02that these front three,
08:03are constantly continuing together Paul,
08:06you said it spot on,
08:07as Courtney makes the move,
08:08she's up in to fifth,
08:10fourth place now,
08:11past Lynn Valk,
08:11so she's joining that top three,
08:13but the top three,
08:14like you said Paul,
08:15Gwien set her time,
08:16Fontanese went quicker,
08:18Van Drunen went quicker as well,
08:19so this is how it's all,
08:20stuck in together at the front,
08:21it's exciting this first one.
08:24Yeah Van Drunen with the fastest lap,
08:26she's gone quickest in the first two sectors again,
08:28this time around,
08:29but Courtney Duncan on the charge,
08:30she's now up in the fourth,
08:31unfortunately for her,
08:32that fall now,
08:33means that she is,
08:3420.9 seconds down on the leader,
08:3716.4 behind Van Drunen,
08:39so even with 11 and a half minutes to go,
08:41she could try and put in a burst of speed,
08:43but when you're just coming back,
08:46there's Papamaya,
08:47looks like she may have been down,
08:48on the left side briefly,
08:49because the mud all,
08:51all at the side of her left hand side there,
08:53certainly around that left shoulder,
08:54but for Courtney Duncan,
08:56it looks like now,
08:57fourth is probably as good as it's going to get for her,
09:00nothing wrong with that,
09:01continues to build,
09:02but again,
09:03that first lap,
09:03first couple of laps,
09:04just seem to be the key for her at the moment,
09:07and it's just that race intensity,
09:09maybe just letting her down,
09:11nothing wrong with the speed,
09:12when she's upright,
09:13and sort of like,
09:16you know,
09:16on the back of those girls,
09:17but just losing that toe,
09:19when she got tagged there by Van Drunen,
09:21here is,
09:22the 4.23,
09:23look,
09:24you see where she's been down,
09:24on that left side,
09:25who was a winner here,
09:27a couple of years ago,
09:29but that's your,
09:30that's your top three,
09:31right there,
09:31main screen,
09:33Guillen,
09:34Fontanese,
09:35and then Van Drunen,
09:36two and a half seconds,
09:37separate them,
09:38well that's what it was,
09:39when they hit the line,
09:40this is the end of sector one now,
09:41up into this right hand turn,
09:43do we see a change,
09:45this time around,
09:46yes we do,
09:47it's down to 1.5 seconds now,
09:48between the second,
09:50and third place rider,
09:51but two and a half still,
09:52but look at Van Drunen,
09:53looking to carve her way,
09:55through the inside again,
09:55missed the inside line,
09:57had to improvise,
09:57had to take the middle to outside,
09:59but you can see how hard,
10:00the Yamaha,
10:01the defending champ,
10:02is working just to get back,
10:03on terms of Fontanese,
10:04who has had an absolutely,
10:06electrifying start,
10:07to say,
10:08you know,
10:08given her age,
10:09compared to the girls,
10:10that she's sandwiched between,
10:11Daniela Guillen,
10:12doing a great job,
10:13of looking to go for back,
10:14back to back race wins here,
10:16and with that win in race two,
10:18in France,
10:18and obviously now leading this one,
10:20but you know Fontanese,
10:21and Van Drunen are not going to,
10:22let her off the hook,
10:23and Fontanese closing,
10:24in again,
10:25on the Spanish rider,
10:26who is now in traffic,
10:28and this is the gap,
10:28between first and second,
10:30Guillen,
10:31will know,
10:32because she'll hear,
10:33that tear,
10:34the gas gas around the outside,
10:36they're going to be,
10:36pretty much bar to bar,
10:37as they hit the liquid Molly Hill,
10:39at the end of lap five,
10:42it's important,
10:43that she doesn't get flustered here,
10:44that's the key,
10:46because if she does,
10:47and she starts to panic,
10:48she'll make mistakes,
10:49Fontanese won't care,
10:50too much about that though,
10:51she's got her on the ropes,
10:52as it stands right now,
10:53she's broken free,
10:54from Van Drunen,
10:56Van Drunen needs to up her game,
10:58almost at the front door there,
11:01for Fontanese,
11:02just catching a bit of a knuckle,
11:03on that little dip,
11:05into the bomb hole,
11:06and look at the traffic,
11:07mobile chicane,
11:08left, right and centre,
11:09here for the leaders,
11:09as they come through,
11:10at the end of lap five,
11:11nine minutes plus two laps to go,
11:13not going to be able,
11:14to get over the finish line,
11:15double here,
11:16Lotta Van Drunen does so,
11:17in the background,
11:18that's going to get her,
11:19back on terms,
11:21but Van Drunen,
11:23right there,
11:23look,
11:23getting ready to pounce,
11:25the guinea pig,
11:27in amongst the traffic,
11:28absolutely,
11:28the traffic is really,
11:29a factor down,
11:30all three of them,
11:30are between,
11:31you have five bikes in shot there,
11:32two of them are lapped down,
11:33so Fontanese,
11:34trying all she can,
11:35to get past Guine,
11:36before Van Drunen,
11:38takes advantage,
11:39and comes through,
11:39because of course,
11:40these front two riders,
11:40will hit the traffic first,
11:42Lotta will see that,
11:43she'll try and close in,
11:43and yeah,
11:44that double,
11:44that big tabletop,
11:45is such a stretch,
11:46for these little bikes anyway,
11:47and yellow flag down there,
11:49so that's another rider,
11:49down on the outside,
11:50of the corner,
11:51but yeah,
11:52this is,
11:53it's telling to see,
11:53oh,
11:53is Chiara's off the side,
11:55yeah,
11:56there's unknown territory,
11:57there as Fontanese,
11:58you don't know,
11:59if there's reeds there,
12:01and water,
12:01and all kinds of bogs,
12:02and everything else,
12:03because where they water the track,
12:04and you know,
12:04sometimes you get leaky hose pipes,
12:08this night as well,
12:08so off track,
12:10a little bit precarious for her,
12:11but she does lose,
12:11that second position,
12:13to Van Drunen,
12:14who is now,
12:15going to go after Daniela Guillen,
12:16and potentially,
12:17her first race win of the season,
12:18yeah,
12:19she got away with that,
12:19lightly did Chiara,
12:20she was able to rejoin,
12:21without any major problems,
12:23but it now frees up,
12:24Van Drunen,
12:24to chase down Guyenne,
12:25and of course,
12:26this is roles reversed,
12:27from last year,
12:28last year it was Lotta,
12:29who got the gap,
12:30over Daniela,
12:30who crashed in Sardinia,
12:31at the start of the,
12:322025 championship,
12:34so Lotta then,
12:34had to defend,
12:35the championship lead,
12:36and she did so,
12:37and she won the title,
12:38with just that,
12:38Grand Prix win,
12:39from Sardinia,
12:40to her name,
12:41and now she is the chaser,
12:42and she really is,
12:43chasing after Guyenne,
12:44as they fire up,
12:45the liquid Molly Hill,
12:46and the red plate of Guyenne,
12:47is under threat,
12:48from the number one,
12:49of the Dutch girl,
12:50who is trying to chase down,
12:51her third consecutive,
12:52world title this year,
12:54yeah,
12:54nothing in between,
12:55these two now,
12:56Guyenne,
12:56and,
12:58the number one there,
12:59Lotta Van Drunen,
13:01not really,
13:03biding her time,
13:04just waiting,
13:04for the opportunity,
13:05she's,
13:06whittled down the gap,
13:07of course,
13:08we don't know,
13:08if she would have,
13:09found her way,
13:10cleanly past Fontenese,
13:11whether there would have been,
13:12an opportunity,
13:12on this lap,
13:13to find a way,
13:14in the second position,
13:15but it was gifted to her anyway,
13:16she'll take that,
13:17with both hands,
13:17of course she will,
13:18lurking dangerously,
13:19in the background,
13:19as he ate,
13:20and Fontenese,
13:21as she gets back,
13:21on terms in third place,
13:23but as we hit the line,
13:24at the end of lap six,
13:25only 2.2 seconds,
13:27separate,
13:27the top three,
13:28once again,
13:28but it's Fontenese there,
13:30in red and white,
13:31in that third place,
13:32giving chase to Van Drunen,
13:37based gas gas machine,
13:392.55,
13:40still dealing with traffic,
13:41she's got to keep her,
13:42a cool, calm,
13:44clean head about her,
13:45as she deals,
13:46with this traffic here,
13:47the 21 there,
13:48just trying to stay,
13:49out of the way,
13:49Yana Boll of Austria,
13:52also stays out of the way,
13:53as Van Drunen comes through,
13:55but Fontenese,
13:55it was a lap ago,
13:56here that she went off track,
13:57went the other side,
13:58of the Marshall,
13:59down there,
13:59past the Mips banners,
14:00and back up again,
14:01she'll be kicking herself,
14:02for that costly mistake,
14:03if you put the flag out now,
14:05Guillen on 72 points,
14:06Fontenese 67,
14:08so you see what it's done there,
14:09it's given five points,
14:10to the Spanien,
14:11and Lotta Van Drunen,
14:12will move to third,
14:13on 54 points,
14:14so,
14:16she could do with that race win though,
14:18and as a defending champion,
14:20that's all she wants,
14:21is to just get that first win,
14:22under the belt here,
14:23this was a lap ago,
14:25yeah,
14:25just caught it wrong there,
14:26just a slight overbalance,
14:28the leg took her,
14:28that direction,
14:29that can happen,
14:30and she was actually,
14:31very lucky,
14:31looking at the sector time,
14:32she only lost 2.5 seconds,
14:34in that,
14:35Marshall very lucky,
14:35that Chiara could see him,
14:36and yeah,
14:37he had his high vis on,
14:38which was good news,
14:39but for sure,
14:39Chiara got away,
14:40the Lotta's on the front now,
14:41Lotta's made the move,
14:42yeah,
14:43Van Drunen now,
14:44leading the way,
14:45that would have been,
14:46possibly,
14:47dropping down through,
14:47that sort of,
14:48left right,
14:49onto the plateau,
14:50in front of the main fans,
14:52but we'll,
14:52hopefully have a replay,
14:54of that,
14:54as soon as we have it,
14:55we'll bring it to you,
14:56but,
14:57Van Drunen,
14:57leading the way,
14:58on lap 7,
15:00and she will now,
15:01try to put some distance,
15:02between herself,
15:03and Guillen,
15:04Guillen right there,
15:05looking to pounce,
15:06back immediately,
15:07you've got Fontenese,
15:08there in the background,
15:08so,
15:09the one of the dangers,
15:10over at the moment,
15:10is Daniela Guillen,
15:11because,
15:12if she tries to make a move,
15:13on Van Drunen,
15:14if she leaves the door open,
15:15of course,
15:16sneaking up the inside,
15:17is going to be Fontenese,
15:18she goes too defensive,
15:19she can get passed,
15:20around the outside,
15:21so,
15:21she really is,
15:22in no woman's land,
15:23at the moment,
15:23if we're going to be PC,
15:24about it all,
15:25but over the line here,
15:267 laps in the books,
15:28nothing in it,
15:28once again,
15:28between the top 3,
15:29and Guillen,
15:30looking to force,
15:30away down the inside,
15:31of Van Drunen,
15:32no way through there,
15:33for the Spaniard,
15:35what a race,
15:36probably the best race,
15:36we've had so far,
15:37already,
15:37I know it's only the 3rd race,
15:38of the season,
15:39but,
15:40all 3 girls won it,
15:41we've got 2 world champions,
15:42in here,
15:438 titles between them,
15:44Daniela Guillen,
15:45going after her first title,
15:47and she knows,
15:47the only way she's going,
15:48to do that,
15:48is to get the better,
15:49of these 2 girls around her,
15:50and she's once again,
15:51going after,
15:52a lot of Van Drunen,
15:54that's the gap between,
15:541st and 2nd,
15:55Fontanese,
15:56about a second further back,
15:57there she is now,
15:58just on the Monster Energy Jump,
15:59as we drop downhill,
16:00and another sneaky look,
16:01up the inside,
16:02by the 2-5-5,
16:03and Daniela Guillen,
16:04she gets alongside,
16:05can she close down the door here,
16:072 into 1,
16:10does go,
16:11and both stay,
16:12oh,
16:12Van Drunen down,
16:13she bangs fast,
16:14Guillen stays up,
16:15Van Drunen goes down,
16:17and Fontanese,
16:18back in the 2nd position,
16:19over exuberance,
16:20possibly,
16:21it worked on Duncan,
16:22and it did not work,
16:23this time around,
16:23and Daniela Guillen,
16:26Guillen probably won,
16:26with the bigger elbows,
16:27well that's the difference,
16:28between a New Zealander,
16:29who's coming back,
16:30from sickness,
16:30and a super strong,
16:3120 year old Spaniard,
16:32she absolutely,
16:33bounced off,
16:34of Daniela Guillen there,
16:35and yeah,
16:36to the side,
16:37up the ramp,
16:37of that jump,
16:38and that really,
16:38has put a long way back,
16:4028 seconds further back,
16:41is Courtney Duncan,
16:42so you'd imagine,
16:43that Lotta,
16:44would have been able,
16:44to get restarted,
16:45of course electric starts,
16:46on the Yamaha,
16:47there would have been,
16:48no problem with that,
16:48so,
16:49although no,
16:50she is still,
16:51yet to go through,
16:52so is Duncan now,
16:54going to be able,
16:55to close in,
16:56I thought she would have,
16:56got started quicker,
16:57than that there Paul,
16:58but she's taken,
16:59some time to get back again,
17:00yeah which is bright,
17:01yeah but the thing is,
17:02she's on the upslope there,
17:03so all of a sudden,
17:04you know we don't know,
17:05if she was caught,
17:05underneath the bike,
17:06and then that's a wriggle,
17:07out of it,
17:07and then you've got to pick up,
17:09pull the bike around,
17:10get it onto a little bit,
17:11of flat ground,
17:11and then go up again,
17:12you know what I mean,
17:13so did it not start,
17:14first time on the east start,
17:16so it's one of those things,
17:18unless we've got another angle,
17:20we can't really see it,
17:20maybe we get another angle,
17:21from here so,
17:23this was the move,
17:24for the lead first of all,
17:25that Van Drunen put,
17:27on Guillen,
17:27so right where I said it was,
17:29out of that right left,
17:30before you jump up,
17:30onto the plateau,
17:31end of sector two,
17:33and then this was the moment here,
17:34Van Drunen up the inside,
17:36Guillen said,
17:37you know what,
17:37I'm going to lean on you,
17:38Van Drunen was there,
17:39they come through the turn,
17:40she thinks she's dealt,
17:41with the threat,
17:42but then does she just,
17:43lose the front,
17:44yeah she just folds the front,
17:45on the exit,
17:45Guillen lucky to stay up,
17:47but a face plant for,
17:48Van Drunen this time around,
17:50and let off for Daniela Guillen,
17:52and maybe an even opportunity,
17:54for Fontanese who's still,
17:55one and a half,
17:551.7 seconds further back,
17:57so a big lap there,
17:59lap eight,
18:00in the fight for the championship,
18:01potentially in this five round series,
18:03yeah absolutely,
18:04Van Drunen's main,
18:06chance there,
18:06to catch up some points,
18:08on her rivals,
18:08Courtney Duncan has passed,
18:10through the timing beam,
18:11in third place now,
18:12so Van Drunen has more work to do,
18:14she still hasn't gone,
18:15yes she has gone through the beam,
18:16in fourth place now,
18:17further back there,
18:18Lindvon fifth,
18:19Malou Jakobsen has worked her way,
18:20past Pappermeyer,
18:21into sixth,
18:22then it's Van de Blist,
18:23eighth,
18:24Barker ninth,
18:24and Verstappen in tenth,
18:25and,
18:27so I just saw something change,
18:28on the screen there,
18:29but now this is,
18:29I look at the points situation,
18:30now you can see there,
18:31Fontanese and Guillen,
18:32of course came in level,
18:34as Guillen gets held up,
18:35slightly by a lap rider,
18:36there in these treacherous,
18:37ruts at the Taukessel,
18:40Fontanese,
18:41it's not quite in range,
18:42to take advantage,
18:43of this bit of traffic,
18:44that is causing Guillen,
18:45to take alternative lines,
18:46not quite the ideal ones,
18:47around the central,
18:49of that tight valley,
18:50here at Teutintal,
18:51yeah Jakobsen up to fifth,
18:52Volk down to seventh,
18:53but with just over a minute,
18:55so it's going to be three laps to go,
18:57Daniela continues to lead,
18:59Daniela Guillen,
18:59there's Fontanese,
19:00getting the better of a back marker,
19:02this gap looks like,
19:03it's stretched out,
19:04in this final sector,
19:06from more than 1.7 seconds,
19:08so it'll be interesting,
19:08to see when they hit the line,
19:09this time around,
19:10of course,
19:11Guillen,
19:11with traffic on the horizon,
19:12as well,
19:13two,
19:13at least,
19:14two back markers,
19:15for her to deal with,
19:16so she'll take her time,
19:18with this one,
19:18that may allow Fontanese,
19:20just to gain,
19:21a little bit more ground,
19:22here or there,
19:23and she is right there,
19:24so what was a moment ago,
19:25looking like more than 1.7,
19:27possibly two seconds ish,
19:29has now,
19:29closed back down again,
19:31because of the hesitancy,
19:32of Guillen,
19:33to get through the back markers,
19:3530 seconds on the clock here,
19:36three laps to go,
19:38and the,
19:39RFME,
19:40Spain national team,
19:41Gas Gas Rider,
19:41she hits the line,
19:42and it's less than a second now,
19:44between her and the number eight,
19:45of Chiara Fontanese,
19:47Duncan a bit further back,
19:48in third,
19:48Van Drunen in fourth,
19:49she was,
19:50nine and a half seconds,
19:51further back,
19:51in that fourth place,
19:52Jakobsen fifth,
19:53Volk sixth,
19:54Papamire seventh,
19:55Vanderbilt eighth,
19:55Barker nine,
19:56Verstappen ten,
19:58just looking down,
19:59the leaderboard,
19:59where is the 153 Franzoni,
20:01still outside of the points,
20:02at the moment,
20:03she fell on the opening lap,
20:04the rider who arrived here,
20:06third place in the championship,
20:07she is in 23rd position,
20:09she will be at least hoping for points,
20:11in this race,
20:13of course she will,
20:14but she's still got some work to do,
20:15in order to make that happen,
20:17but the racetrack here,
20:18as they go back,
20:19from one side of the shallow valley,
20:20to the other one,
20:21very choppy,
20:22very tricky,
20:24ruts and bumps,
20:25and all kinds of stuff,
20:25last year it was an uphill wave section,
20:27I think that section there,
20:29works a lot better,
20:30gives the riders something to think about,
20:32when we arrived here first thing,
20:34it was a nice flat drag strip,
20:36but that has soon changed,
20:38and there's no real quick line through there,
20:40you've got to just hang off the back,
20:41and really sort of,
20:43you know,
20:43hook those gears,
20:44get across there as quickly as possible,
20:46and that's exactly what these girls,
20:47are trying to do here,
20:49yeah,
20:49Gwyn,
20:49a nice line on that downhill section,
20:51pulls it tight,
20:51really works to bite,
20:52towards the inside line,
20:53that gives her a nicer run,
20:54into the following corner,
20:55so she really is finding,
20:56some great flowing lines here,
20:58and yeah,
20:58you can see the ruts there,
20:59well pick your run,
21:00and go from there,
21:01but at the moment,
21:02Gwyn still trying to fight off,
21:04Fontanese,
21:05Duncan third,
21:06Van Drunen fourth,
21:07Jakobsen fifth,
21:08and then yeah,
21:08Valk, Papamire,
21:09Vanderbist,
21:10Barker and Verstappen,
21:10your top 10,
21:11and yeah,
21:11Ranzoni still there,
21:1323rd,
21:13and she's got about 10 seconds,
21:14to close in,
21:15even to get into the points,
21:16at the moment,
21:16in these final three laps,
21:18she is lapping,
21:19a good five or six seconds,
21:21faster than the people around her,
21:22so she has got a shot,
21:23but a lot of work to do,
21:25for the French girl,
21:25from the Honda SR Motor Blues team,
21:28into the penultimate corner,
21:30two lap board,
21:31being readied,
21:32for Daniela Guillen,
21:33she's pretty much,
21:34led from the start here,
21:37again another couple,
21:38of back markers,
21:39but fortunately for her,
21:40as she goes into,
21:41that penultimate lap,
21:42the gap between her,
21:43and Fontanese,
21:44is no longer 1.5,
21:46it's definitely going to be,
21:471.9,
21:48I was going to say,
21:492 point something,
21:49but 1.9 seconds now,
21:51the gap,
21:52so has she broken the resolve,
21:53of the Italian,
21:54this time around,
21:55just as it was the other,
21:57as it was in race one,
21:59a week ago,
21:59when it was Fontanese,
22:00who got the better,
22:01of Daniela Guillen,
22:02Guillen of course,
22:03came back fighting strong,
22:04in race two,
22:05this one still,
22:07has plenty of time to go,
22:08and Van Trunen,
22:09off the side of the track,
22:10again,
22:11going from bad to worse,
22:12for the defending champ,
22:13and that is literally,
22:13before we reemerge back,
22:15on the start straight here,
22:17coming out of turn three,
22:18again,
22:19folds up front,
22:20I saw her walking around,
22:21the track with her trainer,
22:23during the break,
22:26but guessing,
22:28that that wasn't on the script,
22:30when they were,
22:31doing their pace notes,
22:33if you like,
22:34so Van Trunen,
22:35did she lose time,
22:35I don't think she lost time,
22:36to Malou Jakobson,
22:37she's going to be still there,
22:38in that fourth position,
22:39so,
22:40again,
22:40possibly pushing hard,
22:41for a top three,
22:42trying to close down,
22:43Courtney Duncan,
22:44who is in that third place,
22:45on the Dixon race,
22:46in Kawasaki,
22:48Duncan,
22:4934,
22:4935 seconds,
22:50off the lead,
22:51which is,
22:51this rider here,
22:52255,
22:53Daniela Guillen,
22:54championship leader,
22:55coming in,
22:55with a 2-1,
22:57leading here,
22:58looking to go back to back,
22:59in terms of race wins,
23:00between round one,
23:01and round two,
23:02but you just know,
23:03that Chiara Fontanese,
23:04who's there,
23:05tucking to the inside,
23:06in that turn,
23:06bottom of his shot,
23:07might just have,
23:09one final push up her sleeve,
23:11with this being,
23:11day one race one,
23:13a lot more energy,
23:14in the tank,
23:14at this stage of the weekend,
23:15oh,
23:16I tell you what,
23:17OJ,
23:18I'll have a side of,
23:21I'll have a side of anything,
23:22with that,
23:22that was basically,
23:23a massive flat land there,
23:25for Chiara Fontanese,
23:27again pushing hard,
23:29wow,
23:30that's the sort of incident,
23:32that perhaps makes her glad,
23:33she's not a guy,
23:35that's,
23:36oh,
23:36and the one rider,
23:37makes Daniela,
23:38slow up into that corner,
23:39so she would have been,
23:40grateful for that incident,
23:41from Fontanese,
23:42because Chiara,
23:43could have been right there,
23:44if she hadn't had that,
23:45extra slice of OJ,
23:47like you say,
23:47just looking up,
23:48at the screen,
23:49Van Druden,
23:49did lose a lot of time,
23:50because she's only now,
23:51five seconds clear,
23:52of Malou Jakobsen,
23:53so couldn't afford,
23:54to spend too much time,
23:56just hanging on the,
23:57well,
23:57sitting on the floor there,
23:58trying to get going,
23:59so,
23:59one of those races again,
24:00for Lotta Van Druden,
24:01where,
24:01just not able,
24:03to sort of show us,
24:04what she's fully capable of,
24:06here at the moment,
24:07and that'll be frustrating for her,
24:08absolutely it will,
24:09yeah,
24:10you can hear the trackside commentator,
24:11they're getting excited,
24:12because I think,
24:13Papa Meijer is,
24:14within a second and a half,
24:15of Lynn Valk,
24:16for sixth place,
24:16so for sure,
24:18the local crowd,
24:18will be concentrating,
24:19on that scrap,
24:20in the meantime,
24:21we see Chiara,
24:22now back over three seconds,
24:23from Daniela Guyenne,
24:25would be nice result,
24:26for Courtney Duncan,
24:27although of course,
24:27thanks to the problems,
24:29for Lotta,
24:29Courtney looking at a third place,
24:30in just a third race back,
24:32yeah,
24:32and obviously,
24:32she was in fourth,
24:34when she fell out,
24:34on lap two as well,
24:35in France,
24:36and we've got the same jump,
24:37the finish line jump,
24:38as Lotta Van Druden,
24:39and obviously,
24:40she then had a lot of work to do,
24:42she found her way back,
24:43eventually,
24:44to what was 12th place,
24:45she was in what,
24:459th or 10th,
24:46before she just fell again,
24:48in that first race,
24:50but here she is now,
24:51of course,
24:54the Kiwi girl,
24:56trying to secure,
24:58that first top three finish,
25:00of the season,
25:01and that will settle the nerves as well,
25:03going into race two,
25:04of course it will,
25:05Daniela Guyenne though,
25:06has been absolutely fantastic,
25:07she has weathered the storm,
25:08from both,
25:09Lotta Van Druden,
25:10from Chiara Fontanese,
25:12Fontanese here,
25:13dealing with traffic,
25:14on this final lap,
25:16handful of corners to go,
25:17more traffic,
25:18just to head off the number eight here,
25:19but you look up track,
25:20on top of the liquid molly jump there,
25:22right on cue,
25:23255,
25:24Daniela Guyenne,
25:25looking to win,
25:27her second race,
25:28of the season,
25:31for Daniela Guyenne,
25:32yeah,
25:32it will also be,
25:33her 12th career,
25:34race win as well,
25:36so she brings it home here,
25:38just two corners to go,
25:40and the RFM East Spain,
25:41national team,
25:41Gas Gas Rider,
25:42has been absolutely impeccable,
25:44she's been,
25:46so far,
25:46just getting through this,
25:47deep rutted turn,
25:48on the entry to pit lane,
25:49Daniela Guyenne,
25:51home and dry,
25:52as she gets out,
25:52of the final turn here,
25:54the,
25:55red plate holder,
25:57hits the line,
25:58she wins,
25:59race one here in Germany,
26:00massive win for her,
26:01she knows it as well,
26:03Fontanese,
26:03cross the line,
26:04two seconds further back,
26:05in second,
26:06we wait for Courtney Duncan,
26:08her lap times,
26:08last time around,
26:09on par,
26:10with the leaders,
26:11so she'll be pleased with that,
26:12but Daniela Guyenne,
26:13not shy in,
26:14voicing how pleased she is,
26:16even with the six time champ,
26:17right there next to her,
26:18yeah,
26:18absolutely,
26:19and those two,
26:19get on pretty well,
26:20as we've seen before,
26:21that,
26:22they certainly celebrate,
26:23each other's success,
26:24perhaps not as much as their own,
26:25of course,
26:25and here comes Courtney Duncan,
26:26looking fantastic here,
26:27on the final lap,
26:28as you say there Paul,
26:29completely on pace,
26:30right to the end of the race,
26:31which will please her,
26:32no end,
26:33minus that first lap crash,
26:34she could well have been a contender,
26:36in the final reckoning,
26:37but there she goes across the line,
26:38very happy,
