00:00...cutting the track, but not in his mind.
00:02He's still won
00:04almost all of the races this season.
00:06Here we go. Deegan right
00:08on the inside. Levi Kitchen.
00:10Oh, that was McAdoo who slid out.
00:13Great start by
00:15Hayden Deegan on there. He got a good jump. He started
00:17slowing down, and then look at that gap that he's
00:19able to get through those whoops.
00:21I mean, the last few weeks, this is what this guy's been
00:23doing pretty much all year.
00:25Number one, back out front with the green light.
00:28Caden Meneer is in second place.
00:30That is his young teammate from
00:31Monster Energy Star Racing, who made his
00:34pro debut just last
00:35weekend, and he got a top five
00:37from it. It's really good going. Yeah, from
00:39the last chance, it was absolutely an incredible
00:42ride, and it was
00:43a lot of fun to watch, and a lot on the line
00:46for this young guy right here.
00:47Working hard to get a position
00:49at this race team next year,
00:51and what a great showing that is
00:54given the
00:55bosses at Monster Energy Star Racing
00:58Yamaha some
01:00opportunity here. I'd love to see it.
01:02It's Cameron McAdoo ahead of his Monster Energy
01:05Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate in Levi's Kitchen, so a good start from McAdoo, and keep your eyes on that graphic
01:12on the left.
01:13You've got to be in the top nine if you want to automatically go through to the last East-West
01:17Showdown main event of the year.
01:20Yeah, you can tell those tracks are starting to lose a little bit of traction, and it's only going to
01:24get worse, but at some point, that loose stuff would get off, and it'd just be more of a hard
01:28base.
01:29It's kind of been the story of Levi's. It's kind of been the story of Levi's, you know, year. It's
01:32been fast, but he doesn't get that start. You see that number one pulling away in the distance, a long
01:37distance.
01:39Yeah, and it's tough, too, with these heat races, and again, now, this is like a main event. Normally, these
01:43heat races, you know, you have half of the fast guys in the first one, the other half in the
01:48second heat race. Well, now they're all in one heat race, so this is basically a main event, so it's
01:53going to be much harder for guys to move up the pack here if you get a bad start in
01:58these heat races.
02:00Now, you often hear us talk about how important the start is. James was just mentioning it, as Cameron McAdoo's
02:06starting to zero in on Caden Maneer. Well, guess what? Now you can bet on the 450 main event whole
02:12shot winner. That's right, the prop market is live now. Scan the flow code, or visit nxtbets.com slash playsmx
02:20to claim a bonus, and make your whole shot pick. Good luck.
02:24I feel like in this 250 class, since we're at elevation, the bike's going to be down on power, so
02:29a lot of the passing opportunities you normally would have at C-level might not be here as much when
02:34you try to go up the inside of a guy, try to get out that rhythm section or into the
02:38whoop section. You're going to pay attention to just keep that bike rolling forward, otherwise you will lose a lot
02:42of time here.
02:43That's right. They don't have the torque, obviously, like the 450s use, especially the low RPM torque, and have that
02:49front getting out of the corners.
02:52So, as far as Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna is concerned, Daxton Benick has been forced to go to the last
02:59chance qualifier.
03:00Ryder DeFrancisco, who is racing tonight to try and finish top three in the championship, is way down in 15th
03:08place.
03:08It's crazy. It's crazy. Rough night for these guys, for sure.
03:12We'll see you at Ryder De. He is 14th on the first lap, and he's lost a position as well,
03:18a lot like his teammate, Dax Benick.
03:22Yeah, you've got to probably assume as he goes up the inside up here, you've got to assume that at
03:26some point he probably went down again.
03:29You know, obviously he's making passes, closing in. I know the track's difficult to pass on, but I feel like
03:34they should be able to rise up.
03:36He's got a long ways to get to number 9, which is Max Anstey.
03:39And you may have seen the news, and if you haven't, it was quite shocking, actually, this week to learn
03:47of Factory Husqvarna's exit.
03:51And that hits close to home for you, James, because that's going to have an impact on your little brother,
03:55Malcolm.
03:56Yeah, I mean, I think it's, you know, you look at all these guys, you know, just having that opportunity
04:00and just the way it happened.
04:01So I'm not really sure of the details as the camera goes up the inside of Cade.
04:06Yeah, it's a shock in all of them, but I'm sure they'll find their feet somewhere.
04:10End of the season, a departure from the sport.
04:14Hey, Ricky, big week, massive week for Cade and Menea.
04:17It's just a teenager, convinces his boss to give him a shot and go pro last week.
04:21Has to go via, he gets caught up in a controversial rule situation where he was, he should have finished
04:28in the top three.
04:29And he's seen he gets forced to go to the last chance qualifier.
04:31He crashes, then comes back, finishes fifth in the main event.
04:36And then now he's going to go in his first East-West showdown against the best 250 riders in the
04:41world.
04:41That's quite a week.
04:42Yeah, that call was tough.
04:43I understand what the rulebook said.
04:47Ryan Villopoto and I talked about it on Title 24.
04:50That rule might need to be revised.
04:53He really came out on the short end of the stick for sure.
04:56And I'll tell you what, in his resilience, just to go into that last chance, make it happen, and then
05:01put in a fantastic ride, says a lot.
05:04And I think his future's bright.
05:06Yeah, I agree with you.
05:07And some can't excuse me.
05:08Let Levi buy.
05:10But he'd be pretty good.
05:11JT.
05:13Yeah, just to add to what you guys were saying, Ricky, this is no less than an audition for a
05:18job in 2027 and beyond.
05:20He needs rides like this.
05:22The SMX Next program didn't go the way he planned in 2026.
05:25He made the most of it last week.
05:27He gets a top five.
05:28This type of ride, though, he's battling guys that are going to be winning races in 2027.
05:33They're trying to replace the likes of a guy like Caden Deegan.
05:37This is a big moment in the story of Caden Muneer.
05:40JT, obviously, it's an audition on the track, but there's more to it than that, guys, as we know.
05:45And Caden Muneer, for his age, he said he's just a kid there, Levi.
05:49He's incredibly level-headed.
05:51We've had the opportunity to sit down and speak to him when he was riding the SMX Next races.
05:56And he knows exactly, he said, I know what the job is, I know what I am hired to do.
06:01And really, his maturity on and off the track is above his age.
06:07I think that, you know, what he's doing, like you talked about, Will, and then, of course, JT.
06:12I mean, exactly right.
06:14Just think, this has given reassurance to the Monster Star Energy Yamaha team that they want to re-sign him.
06:21But also, what it's doing for other teams.
06:23I mean, the stock option is going through the roof right here.
06:26And I tell you what, it's been impressive to watch.
06:29Final lap coming up for Hayden Deegan, who has an incredible eight wins from eight heat races this year.
06:39Look at the teammates going at it here.
06:40Good stuff from Cameron McAdoo, Levi Kitchen.
06:44Anyway, further back, Hunter Yoder holds the ninth and final transfer position.
06:49Ryder DeFrancisco is still back in 12th position.
06:53Never gone to a last-chance qualifier.
06:55He'll join his teammate in that LCQ if things don't change on this last lap dramatically.
06:59I'm actually shocked about that, especially as well as Ryder DeFrancisco has been riding.
07:04But that just shows you how good the other riders, Parker Ross, Hunter Yoder, Anstey, Bolin,
07:09all these young guns have a breakout year is what they're able to do.
07:14Testaments of their hard work.
07:16Oh, McAdoo get buck wild.
07:19Yeah, that's been a couple times his feet came off.
07:21I think now he gets passed by his teammate.
07:23Hey, Deegan throws a little knack knack over there.
07:26Nice move by those bucks.
07:27Good say about this to Cameron.
07:28So Deegan, Kitchen, McAdoo, the top three from the West Division.
07:34Hey, we'll see them again in the main event.
07:36Meanwhile, check this out on the inside.
07:39Sixth row, Hunter Yoder.
07:42That was okay, though.
07:43He didn't need to do that because he's in...
07:45Oh, wow.
07:47What is happening here?
07:48That was Josh Fariz.
07:50Yeah.
07:50Wow.
07:51Wow.
