00:06Previously...
00:07It's time to find out whether your business plans stack up.
00:11Candidates were cross-examined...
00:13There's something in this business plan that's put me in a really bad mood.
00:16I have seen thousands of business plans.
00:19Your one is about as crazy as it gets.
00:21Do you really think that's a proven model of success?
00:24I seriously doubt that.
00:27Proposals picked apart.
00:29What you've got in your business plan is zero stock.
00:32That was a mistake.
00:34A mistake? It's not credible.
00:35It's a pipe dream, it's a fairy tale, it's unrealistic and it's unachievable.
00:40In the boardroom, judgement day.
00:43The thing is, Victoria, there is nothing unique about your business.
00:47Victoria's sweets company turned sour...
00:50So it is with regret, Victoria, you're fired.
00:53Danny's hair extension business didn't cut it.
00:56I'm not sure there's going to be any extension to your time in this process.
01:00Danny, you're fired.
01:02And Meghan's dessert company fell flat.
01:05My gut feeling tells me, Meghan, you're fired.
01:08Now Rochelle and Marnie go head to head.
01:11I can't believe it!
01:12We're in the final!
01:13Who will win Lord Sugar's investment?
01:236am.
01:28Hello?
01:29Good morning.
01:30Lord Sugar would like to meet you at Freemasons Hall in central London.
01:33The cards will be outside in 20 minutes.
01:35For the finalists...
01:37Freemasons Hall of Garden.
01:40One last task.
01:44Winning this process would mean the world to me.
01:47It would change everything in my life and it is the stuff that dreams are made of.
01:54I am in the final of The Apprentice.
01:57This is unreal and to get here to this point just means absolutely everything to myself and also to my
02:03family.
02:16In the west end of London, Freemasons Hall.
02:39Good morning, ladies.
02:41Good morning, Lord Sugar.
02:43Welcome to Freemasons Hall.
02:46For centuries, Freemasons have been proud to practice their shared values of integrity, friendship and respect.
02:54At the end of this process, I would like a business partner that shares those same values.
03:00Now, only one of you can receive my £250,000 investment.
03:06And this is your last opportunity to convince me that that person should be you.
03:12So, for your final task, I'd like you to launch your new business.
03:17You need to create a new brand for your company, produce a digital billboard and a television advert.
03:25In a few days' time, you're going to pitch your new business.
03:28Afterwards, we'll meet in the boardroom where one of you will become my business partner.
03:35So, there's a lot to do and I've arranged some help.
03:53Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen.
03:56So, I'm going to toss a coin now.
03:58Rochelle, heads or tails?
03:59Tails.
04:01Tails it is.
04:02So, you go first.
04:03I need my hair queen, Dani.
04:05I love you so much.
04:08Maoni.
04:09So, Hale, you're a fighter too.
04:11Come over here.
04:14Rochelle.
04:15Victoria, my glamour queen.
04:16Come on over.
04:17You look like me.
04:19Simba, you know I need you.
04:24Abby.
04:26I love it.
04:28Megan.
04:32Brad, Joe, I honestly can't pick between you two but, um...
04:36You're not marrying him, come on, hurry up.
04:39I'm going to go with Joe for your creative juices.
04:45Well, last but not least, over to Marnie.
04:49So, you've been back at school doing PE.
04:50I was about to pick you anyway.
04:53Now, Marnie, boxing gyms are a really crowded market.
04:57So, you need to prove to me that your new business will stand out in the marketplace.
05:03And, Rochelle, you have your hair salon.
05:06I will need convincing that this is a scalable business.
05:09So, everything clear?
05:11Yes, no sugar.
05:13Good luck and I'll see you in a few days' time.
05:18Three days to prove that plans on paper can be turned into viable start-ups.
05:23Good morning, everybody.
05:25Thank you so much for coming back.
05:27Preparing for the fight of her life.
05:30So, I am trying to take boxing classes and boxing gyms to the masses.
05:34Court advocate Marnie.
05:37I have secured my first premises.
05:40So, I am looking for his investment in order to secure a second premises.
05:44So, what's the overall message of the brand?
05:46Are we pulling on people's heartstrings?
05:48What's your vision?
05:49Well, boxing has single-handedly changed my life.
05:53Even down to my career in law was through meeting someone in the boxing gym
05:57and shadowing her at a trial and then deciding to become a barrister.
06:00So, I owe so much to boxing.
06:02And I really believe that if everybody could get a taste of that,
06:05they would get the same benefits.
06:07So, I think the USP is that your life begins at boxing.
06:11So, it's not boxing just to look good, it's boxing to feel good.
06:15I'm not selling fitness, guys.
06:17I'm selling feelings.
06:20Across the hall...
06:21I have had a salon for the past ten years, targeted mainly at women.
06:25Running her team through a fresh approach to hair.
06:27My whole ethos behind the brand is that I can do all hair types.
06:31Rochelle.
06:32So, for, like, this task, essentially, do you want to focus on the salon
06:37or do you want to focus on the academy?
06:39So, it is a salon and academy.
06:41So, what we do is we offer the training online,
06:43but we also have a facility where it is people can come and get their hair done there as well.
06:47When she enters the salon, she leaves a whole new vibe.
06:51She's, you know, full of confidence and that's exactly what I want to portray.
06:55I want it classy, I want it simple, I want it stylistic with pinks, blacks and whites
06:59and kind of like a pale pink, baby pink, that kind of tone.
07:03Nothing too vibrant like a hot pink or magenta.
07:05Brilliant.
07:06Okay.
07:07Cool.
07:07I like that.
07:10I want something that's punchy and something that really denotes power, strength, oomph.
07:16Brainstorming a name for her boxing business.
07:19Like, grit.
07:20And I know that's an unusual word, but it really does stand out.
07:24Marnie.
07:25I'm thinking of, like, a fist forward with the name written across the knuckles.
07:35Something along those lines.
07:37One thing that maybe is a worry, it could maybe look like a bare knuckle boxing club.
07:41Hmm.
07:41With no glove on there.
07:42That's exactly what I thought I thought I would expect a glove.
07:45So I really want to do something that's, like, stand alone.
07:48And I know we're at risk of people looking at it and going, is it a boxing gym, is it
07:51not?
07:52But I think that would just add to their curiosity.
07:54I understand in terms of what you're in a vision you're trying to go through as well.
07:57Obviously, something as simple as the blue corner, if that makes sense, or ding ding,
08:01or boxanticity or something like that.
08:03I think reading it, it would look difficult and it's quite long-winded.
08:06So, raw boxing, what do you think about that?
08:09I like raw, but I think it's been done.
08:13Seeking suggestions for her brand.
08:16What about Coco Milano?
08:18Yeah, I don't know.
08:19Hair salon owner, Rochelle.
08:22I've got three suggestions of names.
08:24Colorex, Diversary, and The Hair Team.
08:29Okay.
08:30The hair, yeah, no, Colorex.
08:32Yeah.
08:33What was the other one?
08:34Diversary.
08:35What does that mean?
08:36If you want to cut different types of people's hair and you want to teach people, it's like,
08:40this is the shop to do that.
08:42Everyone.
08:42Yeah.
08:43Yeah.
08:43I don't know if you like that.
08:44Cutting edge, because this...
08:46That's probably been done before.
08:48Has it?
08:48Yeah, there's a lot of salons called cutting edge.
08:54Myself and Brad will start with doing the logo and the brand.
08:57I think it's important that I stay there and really understand what our brand is.
09:00Next, for Boxing Buff Marnie.
09:04I'm going to send Sahail, Simba, and Megan over to do the digital billboard.
09:08Decide who does what.
09:11Simba, I'd like you to star in it.
09:14Okay.
09:14I want it to be quite editorial, quite arty, quite standout.
09:18Really focus on emotions, focus on it becoming someone's story.
09:22Be creative.
09:23Okay, is everybody happy?
09:24Does everybody understand and see my vision?
09:27Yeah, I think we definitely understand your vision.
09:30Definitely, I think.
09:32Okay, so go make me proud, team.
09:34We will.
09:35We will.
09:35Let's do it.
09:38Midday.
09:41While half of each team head off to create digital billboards...
09:45Do you know what?
09:45It actually feels so good to be back here for Rochelle.
09:48I just can't wait to see her smash it.
09:50The finalists will build brands.
09:53What I'm going to do is I'm going to give you a little bit of tough love today
09:55to try and prepare you for going into the pitch.
09:57If I pick up on things, the experts will definitely pick up on things.
10:01Brad, that is exactly what I need.
10:02Hit me with the tough love.
10:06East London.
10:09Hi there.
10:09Hi.
10:10My name's The Hell.
10:11I'm Simba.
10:11And I'm Megan.
10:12Nice to meet you.
10:13Location for both digital teams, Cherry Duck Studios.
10:17I'm going to be sat in the chair all sad.
10:19The cake's going to come up and over.
10:21First job for Danny, Victoria and Avi.
10:24My hair's going to be flicked down.
10:26Yeah.
10:26Sunglasses on.
10:27I'm feeling confident like a new woman.
10:30A digital ad to help Rochelle's hair brand shine.
10:34Okay, up, two seconds, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow.
10:37Off.
10:38Very good.
10:41Out.
10:42How many seconds is that?
10:44Probably about 15 seconds or so.
10:46So we're going to do 10 seconds.
10:47We need to be just quick on.
10:48It's just quick on.
10:50Yeah, okay.
10:51Action.
10:51Go.
10:53Two seconds, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow.
10:55Okay, up.
10:57Hey, it shouldn't be seen at the end.
11:00Okay, let's go.
11:01Again.
11:02Action.
11:05I think we had a total panic trying to cut that video down.
11:09So I'm really hoping that she likes what we've created for her.
11:11There's a lot riding on this one.
11:13Sad, sad, sad.
11:15Yes, Danny.
11:17One, two, off.
11:21Out, brilliant.
11:25On the other team.
11:26It should be sat like this.
11:28Getting her mitts on Marnie's digital billboard.
11:31Steps up.
11:32Bang.
11:33I think it's a bit sexier.
11:35First time director, Megan.
11:38Action.
11:41Yeah, that's good.
11:42Okay, that's good.
11:42I think you need to give him a bit more direction on how to look more like a boxer.
11:46Come up.
11:47Look at your gloves maybe for a second, yeah?
11:49Look at your gloves.
11:49Tap them.
11:50Give a smile.
11:51Yeah, I would go on a side a bit more.
11:53So one second.
11:54It doesn't look natural.
11:55All right.
11:56So you're over here.
11:56Picked up the gloves.
11:57Gloves on.
11:58Gloves on.
11:58Okay.
11:59Tap on there.
12:00Give it a smile.
12:00Am I looking at you?
12:01You're looking at the camera.
12:02He looks really good doing it.
12:04So you do it then?
12:04You look really good doing it.
12:06Just do it for me one more time.
12:09Marnie was really clear that she didn't want her digital billboard to focus just on the
12:13boxing.
12:14It was all about the emotion.
12:16And what have they done?
12:16They focused just on the boxing.
12:19I don't think she's going to be very happy.
12:20Yeah.
12:21Him?
12:22Yeah.
12:26Midday.
12:27Creative agency, Isabel.
12:29By Rochelle.
12:30It adds that personality to it.
12:32Yeah.
12:33For Rochelle, brand name nailed.
12:37The signature itself, are we moving away from black?
12:41I want the darkest shade of brown because that almost looks black.
12:45Can we change the salon and the academy bit to the palest nude, please?
12:50We might even need to go a tiny bit nude art.
12:53You want it more nude?
12:54Like the same color as the background?
12:55The lightest nude all the way up to the top.
12:57Yeah.
12:58The only thing I would say is can you read the salon and academy?
13:01Do we want to try it in a different color to make it stand out more?
13:05Let's try it in brown.
13:08Rochelle has spent a lot of time debating the finer details of the logo,
13:13but the problem is everything she's come up with is very bland.
13:17Does that say what it is?
13:19Yeah.
13:20Yeah?
13:21Yeah.
13:21Salon plus academy.
13:24Rochelle, that's you.
13:26Confidence wants time.
13:29It's got everything you need.
13:32Next door.
13:33What about grit and glory?
13:36Still sparring over her boxing brand.
13:38With grit comes glory, where you start your story.
13:41That's it.
13:43Marnie.
13:44So we've got the fists.
13:45What you've got there with a fist,
13:47is that definitely the route you want to go down?
13:50I think it's fine like that.
13:53Let's try an orange color.
13:55Yeah.
13:56Let's put grit and glory in there.
13:59Perfect.
14:00That's exactly what I'm looking for.
14:01Just as a quick one, just to visualize,
14:03can you just select all the black and just change it to white?
14:06Yeah.
14:06Please.
14:06I like it in black.
14:08Yeah.
14:09Can we just edit and do?
14:10Yeah.
14:12Why don't we just try white background with orange?
14:16I really like the color as it is.
14:18I like the black.
14:19I like the orange.
14:20So I'm really happy to keep it with that.
14:21I just want to focus, make sure all our placement is good.
14:24Marnie said that she wanted to avoid the spit and sawdust style gyms.
14:28And then she's gone and produced a logo that's very spit and sawdust to me.
14:33I'm very happy with the logo.
14:35I'm very happy with the name.
14:36I'm happy.
14:425pm.
14:43At creative agency Atomic.
14:45What about that number two, if we go up?
14:48What do you guys think of that?
14:49While Danny, Victoria and Abby battle over the backdrop for their billboard.
14:53Honestly, I just think it's so, like, old school salon.
14:57For the other team.
14:59I'm nervous.
15:02Marnie found a logo.
15:03The big reveal.
15:05Of Marnie's brand.
15:07Oh, okay.
15:08Grit and glory boxing.
15:09I just think the fist doesn't go with boxing.
15:13I think a glove would have been better because you wear gloves in boxing.
15:17This reminds you of, like, a muscle kind of gym, if that makes sense.
15:19It's not screaming to me the mid-range, nice boxing gym that she wanted to go for.
15:26Which is a shame.
15:27Nevertheless, I think this is what we've got.
15:30I don't understand why she's done the double fists.
15:33I think it looks a little bit more like a logo for a martial arts brand.
15:38Nice.
15:39That's perfect, yeah.
15:40Grim.
15:44Running behind on their billboard.
15:46How about that will just be a plain background?
15:48Abby, Victoria and Danny.
15:50Do you do that?
15:51I'm stressing out now because we literally have got no time.
15:54Why don't we put the logo on?
15:56Okay.
15:56Yeah, I'll be back down a little bit more so you can see the whole thing.
15:59Leave the logo there the whole time.
16:01No, on the other side, because she's going to walk up that way.
16:05She's going to walk up that way.
16:06Okay, so there.
16:07Can we see it?
16:08Can we see how it would look, please?
16:09Just as it is.
16:12Right.
16:13So the look, yeah.
16:14Oh, my God, it's literally terrible.
16:16They're looking for...
16:16It's terrible.
16:17Out of ten, I'll give this six out of ten.
16:20I was going to say six as well.
16:21It's not brilliant, but it's average.
16:276 p.m.
16:29All right, it's done.
16:30Well done, everyone.
16:32Screens signed off.
16:34Thank you so much for your time, Andy.
16:35Thank you, Andy.
16:37Logos locked down.
16:39See you later.
16:39Thank you, bye.
16:41For both teams, back to the house.
16:498 a.m.
16:51Morning, everyone.
16:52How is everybody today?
16:54Brilliant.
16:56For Marnie.
16:57So, I am dying to know how yesterday went.
17:01Let's have a quick look.
17:02A first peek at her digital billboard.
17:11OK, so that's what we've come up with.
17:12What are your thoughts?
17:14Well, first of all, I don't see any emotion coming through.
17:18And that was one thing that I was really hard on seeing.
17:22It feels a bit like every other boxing billboard, if I'm honest.
17:29It was really hard to try and get all of, like, the different conflict emotions within, like, seven seconds.
17:35Yeah.
17:36Yeah.
17:37They should have pushed emotion.
17:39They should have given it their heart, their grit.
17:41And that really did not come through, which I'm very disappointed about.
17:44I just think it's a lost opportunity.
17:50Next door.
17:51Guys, I'm dying to see it.
17:54Let's have a look.
17:55First chance to see Rochelle's brand brought to life.
18:02So, yeah, it would have been nice if there was a little bit more going on.
18:06But what that does is it doesn't distract from the hair.
18:08I was, like, really upset, though, that we didn't get the text on for you.
18:11Because the fact that you do all hair types should be something that's on there.
18:15And I just am so sorry.
18:16I'll be honest, because it was so time-constrained.
18:18It was between the logo and the text.
18:23So, I think the billboard's fantastic in showing confidence.
18:27Come into our salon and leave feeling confident.
18:29But it doesn't showcase the diversity.
18:32And we can take any hair and transform it.
18:34I think the hairbrush flick is cool.
18:37But just the way the green screen works, it blurs it a bit.
18:40Yeah.
18:41Just think if something they might say is, what was that at the end?
18:47So, you two are going to be in a shipping container, stressed, in despair.
18:51Today, both teams will shoot TV ads.
18:54Then a glimmer of light comes through the shipping container.
18:56You look up, you start to feel impassioned.
18:59You start to feel hope.
19:00To promote proposed businesses.
19:03It's about showing the emotion with glimmers of boxing.
19:06Also, Simba, I've written you a rap again.
19:09I want it, like, spoken word, but with flow.
19:11So, not like...
19:11That's fine. I'll get it.
19:12I'll get it.
19:12When you look at...
19:13Got it.
19:13You know, like, when you look in the mirror, what do you see?
19:16When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
19:19If I put you in gloves, who could you be?
19:22That's good, but, Simba, a little bit less eloquent.
19:25What about you?
19:26So, we could try that.
19:27We could try that.
19:27But I know what you're going for.
19:28I really would like Simba's voice.
19:30It's such a distinct voice.
19:33I do really want to get across the message that we do all hair time,
19:36so I have to be showcased.
19:38Talking the team through her hair ad...
19:40Because I am, obviously, a woman of colour.
19:42Avi, I'm going to stop you at night.
19:44You're going to be on the branding team now.
19:46Rochelle.
19:47So, it's going to be me and Victoria,
19:48and it's going to just be focusing on the back of our hair.
19:50So, it's us, like, looking at each other, smiling, giggling.
19:53Then the next is a brush, so it's the hair getting, like, brushed out
19:56to show, like, look, it's smooth, it's soft, it's shiny.
19:58Then they have a shopping cart.
20:00So, I'm going to have Victoria in the shopping cart,
20:02and I'm going to be spinning it around in slow-mo.
20:04Your hair's going to be, like...
20:06It's that whole cinematic epicness of hair.
20:11Let the hair do the talking.
20:13Love it.
20:179am.
20:19Team's Divine.
20:22So, Marnie made it very, very clear she wanted emotion, emotion, emotion.
20:27She has put a lot of pressure on us,
20:29and she has got very high expectations.
20:32At the end of the day, we're not professional actors,
20:34so we can only do our best.
20:38South East London.
20:41At Rochelle's ad location...
20:43Turning over.
20:43Cameras at speed.
20:45Action.
20:46Two directors...
20:47Right, we're going to swish her hair side to side.
20:49But keep movement, Victoria, yeah?
20:51Wrestle for control.
20:53Perfect.
20:53And cut.
20:55I don't want too much of her face...
20:56No, not too much of her face.
20:57I want it to be about the hair, but I do like that.
20:59I think you should start in and then pan back.
21:01Start and then pull out?
21:03Yeah.
21:03I would like it a bit more seriously.
21:04Serious, yeah.
21:05And maybe don't turn around so much,
21:06just turn to see your head to the side.
21:08Just, like, on your shoulder,
21:09but, like, kind of looking towards the corner.
21:12Turning over.
21:12Cameras at speed.
21:14Vic, sorry, look straight to the back of the wall.
21:17Perfect.
21:18There you go.
21:19So, the team is working really well together.
21:21Danny is directing.
21:22I do have a tendency to drop in,
21:24but this is my baby, and it has to be perfect.
21:27I think, Victoria, kind of turn yourself
21:29on a bit more of an angle towards, like, me.
21:31Shall I do the blow-in?
21:33No.
21:33You are the director.
21:37Setting for Marnie's ad, a shipping container.
21:40Frustration, anger, you need to get out now.
21:42Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
21:44Calling the shots.
21:45Okay, that's fine.
21:46Leave it there.
21:47Let's move on.
21:47Perfect.
21:48Sales reps in there.
21:50Three, two, one, and action.
21:55Let's do one more time.
21:56Again, more emotion.
21:57That's what Marnie wants.
21:59When you get in up, get up with that frustration.
22:01Action.
22:05I still need more emotion in your face.
22:07There's not enough.
22:08Three, two, one, action.
22:12Oh, wait.
22:13That was straight on my bone.
22:14Yeah, yeah.
22:14So, one more time.
22:16Can we try maybe, when you, do you know when you like frustration here?
22:19Yeah.
22:21Simba has a very, very loud voice.
22:23I don't know how it's going to look, the end product.
22:24I can't see anything right now.
22:25I'm not an actor by trade, but we're getting the job done.
22:28That's weak.
22:29Chest out more.
22:30You can see your eyes.
22:31Perfect.
22:32Stay like that.
22:33Three, two, one, action.
22:36Perfect.
22:39One p.m.
22:42Today's task for Avi and Joe.
22:44Before we start, let's just lay out our core values that we're looking for here.
22:49Come up with a virtual mock-up.
22:51So, first point would be diverse.
22:53Yeah.
22:54She wanted it to be class.
22:55Feminine, yes.
22:57To walk Lord Sugar through Rochelle's planned salon.
23:00If you were to step into a salon, what would make you think, wow, this is not just a salon,
23:05it's a classy salon.
23:08If there's like a cool tea coffee-making facility or snacks out or...
23:13I think it's a brilliant idea.
23:14If I'm stepping into a barber or a hairdresser and they give me food, I'm thinking, wow, this
23:19is next level.
23:20Yeah.
23:20But I was thinking with class, some kind of light that comes down from the top.
23:25Fancy, fancy light.
23:27Posh, like chandelier, if we can add that in.
23:29Yeah.
23:30And because it's also feminine, what is a very feminine animal or object?
23:36I don't know, like a flamingo or something.
23:38Yeah.
23:38It definitely ticks off class.
23:40I reckon if we have that, without a doubt, it's classy.
23:45Michelle was really clear.
23:46She wants her brand to be all about women of different ethnicities coming to her salon
23:51and feeling the confidence a great hairstyle gives them.
23:54But she's got two boys who have never been in a hairdresser before.
23:58A big issue.
23:59I had an outside the box idea.
24:02As you come in, you can see the logo in big.
24:05If you miss that, you can have a big blimp above, like in the sky.
24:09You mean like floating above the courtyard?
24:12Yes, exactly.
24:14OK.
24:17Across the hall, taking the lead on designing her digital mock-up.
24:21Can you now bring the logo in?
24:24Marnie and sounding board Bradley.
24:27OK, that's cool.
24:29Can we bring the ring in, please?
24:31And if you can move that back, yeah, that's it.
24:34And I want all the ropes and the framing of it black.
24:38Cool.
24:39Can we now put the logo in the middle?
24:41OK, a bit smaller, a bit smaller.
24:43OK, there's perfect.
24:44What I want to do now is get the bags on the wall a bit more spaced out.
24:49Yeah, that's it.
24:50That's good.
24:50I'm thinking the rubberised black flooring, and I just think for the look,
24:53it'll look really contrasty against the yellow.
24:55Can we do that, Roland?
24:56Can we just blacken the whole floor?
24:58Oh, I know.
24:59Sorry.
24:59Can you put me in some of the other kind of bags?
25:02Because I think to show that we're thinking about actual technique, it's important.
25:06To me, I think Marnie has walked through her gym in her mind a thousand times.
25:11So actually putting it into a metaverse and creating a 3D version of it was very simple
25:16for her.
25:17She knew exactly what she wanted.
25:18She knew exactly where she wanted it.
25:20And she knew exactly the look and feel that she wanted to achieve.
25:23Please, can you put the logo onto the wall that's just sitting behind the reception desk?
25:28I think it'd be really cool as they come in to see it straight away.
25:32Perfect.
25:35Should we do the blimp for the final thing?
25:37He's done it.
25:38Let's have a look.
25:39Putting the finishing touches to Rochelle's demo salon.
25:42Now's the time where we need to shift our focus towards the interactive elements of it.
25:47Avi and Joe.
25:47The first interaction point we're going to have is by the receptionist.
25:52Yeah.
25:52Should we keep it very simple and say, welcome to by Rochelle.
25:56Welcome to by Rochelle.
25:58A salon where anyone can come in, no matter what your hair type, and leave feeling confident.
26:04I think that's a bit long.
26:05How about, welcome to by Rochelle.
26:08Yeah.
26:08And remember what her tagline is.
26:10Confidence.
26:12What was it?
26:14Strand.
26:15Confidence.
26:16One strand at a time.
26:17Welcome to by Rochelle.
26:19We cut all hair, leaving you feeling confident.
26:23How about, yeah, more like, we cut all hair types, leaving you feeling confident.
26:30It doesn't...
26:32If Rochelle or even Danny could have been here, I think the interactive element of our metaverse would have been
26:38so much better.
26:39We could have had some voiceovers, we could have had some video tutorials, but instead we had to stick to
26:44text.
26:44So I think, unfortunately, that might let Rochelle down a little bit.
26:48There are actually quite a few improvements we could have made.
26:51But on the whole, we ain't done a bad job.
26:575pm.
26:58In the edit...
26:59How about adding, like, a coloured sort of screen?
27:03While Rochelle brushes off her critics...
27:06I just want to focus on this.
27:08If we go too far off track, we're not going to make sense.
27:11Tasked with using Marnie's advert script...
27:14Sir Patrick, can we just start recording, yeah?
27:16OK, so now, go ahead.
27:18Megan risks a rewrite.
27:21When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
27:24If I put you in gloves, who could you be?
27:28You're feeling so trapped, but it could set you free.
27:31This is really boring.
27:34I know that sounds really harsh, but this is boring.
27:37Just don't think it's cool.
27:38Look, I'm telling you guys now, OK?
27:39Marnie is not going to be happy with deviating too much from this, OK?
27:42She knows what she likes, she knows...
27:43But she's not here.
27:44Do you want to cut out all the rest?
27:45Yeah.
27:46I think it's...
27:48I like the thing, if you're feeling so trapped, but it could set you free.
27:52Boom!
27:53And then you're into it, and it's like, we're boxing, the music's on, the beat's going...
27:57I say free just before, and the beat drops, slams, door opens.
28:02Find your story, join Grit and Glory.
28:04Yeah, right at the end.
28:05When Simba initially read out Marnie's script, it wasn't working.
28:08It was flat, it was boring, it wasn't engaging,
28:11and I'm really, really glad that we cut it in the end.
28:14You can't show me one
28:15In a club with the shortest one
28:17Find your story, join Grit and Glory.
28:21I'm happy with it, are you guys happy?
28:22I am, I am, yeah, I actually am, yeah.
28:287pm, for the finalists...
28:30Hi, Chris!
28:31Hi, I'm totally in love with you.
28:35Preparations complete.
28:36That's us done, that is our gym.
28:38Thank you very much, Roland.
28:39Bye, thank you.
28:41Tomorrow, pitch their businesses to Lord Sugar.
28:499am.
28:50So this is the start page of the metaverse.
28:52Whoa!
28:53Wow, okay.
28:54For Marnie's team...
28:56Oh, no, no, a billboard!
28:57Yeah, so you've got the billboard in there in the waiting area.
29:00Oh, but it really works with the gym.
29:01A first look at her digital demo.
29:04I'm going to take you in.
29:05So you've got the mirror there with who could you be in gloves.
29:08That is very, very cool.
29:09And what we've done here is create a space to bring in that sense of community where people
29:15can just hang out.
29:16So it's not just a gym about fitness, it's about bringing people together.
29:19Very, very good job.
29:20It's pretty obvious how I feel.
29:22I'm absolutely bursting with pride.
29:24That's really, really amazing.
29:26And I'm so happy that your vision has come to life.
29:28Honestly, just want to say thank you to Brad because you had my back and you really let
29:33people with my vision and just supported it.
29:37Across the hall...
29:38So that's the outside.
29:40We chose the colours of the wall.
29:41The big reveal of Rochelle's salon.
29:45Shall we step in?
29:46Yes, show me the salon.
29:48Okay, cool.
29:49This is your first interactive point.
29:51See where it says...
29:52Oh, there's an interactive point.
29:53What does it say?
29:53So if you click on the explore option, it says,
29:56Welcome to by Rochelle.
29:58We cut all hair types, leaving you feeling confident.
30:00I do do more than cutting, but yeah.
30:03The biggest thing I can see with this is, because we didn't really know how to do a
30:07tutorial and we couldn't really do a voiceover, it lacks a little bit of interactivity.
30:12So maybe experts will ask you questions on, why is this a bit boring?
30:21Next for Marnie.
30:22When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
30:25If I put you in gloves, who could you be?
30:28Jordan 4s or Jordan 1s.
30:29The debut of her boxing blockbuster.
30:35Find your story.
30:36Join Grits and Glory.
30:40I'm so happy.
30:43I'm so happy, guys.
30:45I'm so happy.
30:46Thank you so much.
30:48Like this morning, I woke up and I was terrified.
30:49I didn't know what today was going to bring and seeing the metaverse, seeing that, I love
30:55it.
30:55The way they break out as the music drops, it's everything I wanted.
30:58They got the emotion, they got the passion, they got the branding, they got the lighting,
31:03they got the cohesion at the end of the two people coming together.
31:07Oh, it, perfect.
31:09I love it.
31:10It's everything I wanted.
31:11It's sale, Meg, Simba.
31:12Thank you so much.
31:17For the other team.
31:24Oh, sick.
31:26By Rochelle, the TV ad.
31:29Let your hair do the talking.
31:31Book a visit or call to train with us today.
31:34Do you like it?
31:36I think the text is awesome, but there were some parts where it's difficult to see.
31:39It was so hard because of all the different colours.
31:41You know, there was pinks, there was whites, there was blacks in there.
31:44And any time we tried a text, the white one was the one that stood out the most.
31:48But there is points when it kind of blends in with Victoria's hair or, you know, and that's
31:52just the hardest thing to have got.
31:54But it definitely comes to life.
31:56I'm very proud of it.
31:58I'm thinking definitely you two for Consumer Research.
32:00And I'm also thinking Danny and then Victoria, if you would be able to stay here and help
32:04me with the pitch.
32:05So if you guys go to Consumer Research, me and Brad are going to stay behind and do the
32:10pitch prep.
32:11Thank you, guys.
32:1310 a.m.
32:15Half of each team head off to gather feedback from the public.
32:19For the finalists.
32:21I want to put across my passion.
32:22And I also want to say that I'm knowledgeable.
32:25A last chance to prepare for their pitch.
32:28Then I want to include, obviously, the diversity element, how I'm going to do it, so the execution.
32:34So what I'm thinking of is I start bold and I say, with grit comes glory, the start of your
32:41story.
32:41So let me start by telling you mine.
32:43And then I move on to say how I ended up at boxing, talk about some pivotal moments in my
32:49life that led me to this position, and then move on to the gym and the concept.
32:54West London.
32:55Oh, here we go, here we go, this is it.
32:58Seeing if grit and glory punches through.
33:00I like that.
33:01That's pretty good.
33:03Sahail, Simba and Megan.
33:05I want you guys to just watch it and tell me what you guys think.
33:08If I'm honest, I don't quite understand what it's promoting.
33:12I'm not too sure what it's promoting.
33:14Is it a product or is it a class?
33:16It looks more like a gym class.
33:18I don't know if it's for a gym or something like that.
33:22It doesn't explain it very well.
33:27The logo looks good up there.
33:28I love it, man.
33:29Hoping By Rochelle makes the cut.
33:31Oh, that is awesome.
33:33Danny, Abby and Joe.
33:36So I'm interested to know, what do you actually think of this logo?
33:40I think maybe the confidence should be bigger.
33:43What do you think of the logo?
33:45Do you think this does stand out enough to be in salons across the UK?
33:50If I'm to be honest, no.
33:51No.
33:52We'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
33:54Is it classy to you?
33:56Luxury.
33:56Is it upmarket and luxury?
33:57I wouldn't say luxury, but it's cute for me.
34:02Shall we go over and tell Michelle what we found?
34:04Yeah, let's go and tell her.
34:09Devere Grand Connaught Rooms.
34:13In just three hours...
34:15Oh, it's making me nervous.
34:17...finalists will pitch their businesses to Lord Sugar...
34:21Oh, my God, it's huge!
34:23...and leading industry experts.
34:25Lee Stafford is actually going to be here.
34:27It's exciting, though.
34:28What an opportunity.
34:29You know we do this in boxing.
34:31You come out and see the ring that you're going to fight in.
34:33It's going to be a fight, Brad.
34:36But first...
34:37Hey, guys.
34:39..a chance to filter through the feedback.
34:43So, the main thing that came up was that it wasn't 100% clear
34:47that it was actually for a boxing club.
34:50Yeah.
34:51Maybe if there was more people in it or maybe a background of the gym,
34:54it would have been more obvious.
34:55Nothing is ever perfect.
34:56People always find faults and have just slightly different interpretations.
35:00So, thank you.
35:02What about the logo?
35:03I said to them, what do you think of this logo?
35:06Is it different?
35:06Is it unique?
35:07Could you imagine this logo on high street stores nationwide?
35:11A few people did say it was a little bit too much going on in the logo.
35:16OK.
35:16You guys have been amazing.
35:18Thank you so much for all of your support.
35:20Now, let me go do the picture of my life.
35:254pm.
35:27Doors open to some of the biggest names in British business.
35:31Including experts from the worlds of fitness and hair.
35:36First year, health would be £1,192,000.
35:44£240,000.
35:46Year 5, £240,000 in profit.
35:53First to pitch, Marnie.
35:56I come from a very working class background.
36:00So, to be here is something unimaginable.
36:03Now, I need to evidence who I am, what I'm made of, and what I can do.
36:12And now, for the main events, in the orange corner,
36:17it's money swindles.
36:22Let's get ready to ramble.
36:38With grit comes glory, where you start your story.
36:44So, let me start by telling you my story.
36:47I lost my dad when I was eight years old.
36:50My world shattered.
36:51I was haunted by that until when I was 17 years old,
36:57I stepped foot in the boxing gym for the first time.
37:00I have continued to be in love with boxing for the last ten years.
37:05The problem with the spitting sawdust amateur boxing gyms
37:09is that they don't have profit in mind.
37:11And so, it hit me.
37:12Why not create a gym that has the substance
37:16and the spirit of those amateur boxing gyms,
37:19but with the style and the execution
37:22of those commercial higher-end gyms?
37:25A gym that was based on a feeling, not on fitness.
37:29I'm now going to show you our advert that we put together.
37:34When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
37:37If I put you in gloves, who could you be?
37:40You're feeling so trapped, but it can set you free.
37:46Find your story.
37:47Join Grit and Glory.
37:49I'm now going to show you something very exciting
37:52and very cool, our gym.
37:54You can see that it's an open, dynamic space.
37:58Grit and Glory is about delivering group boxing sessions,
38:01bringing people together in a training environment.
38:04I'm now going to open the floor to any questions.
38:06My name is James Balfour.
38:08I'm the co-founder and CEO of OneRebel.
38:11It is, at times, a crowded marketplace,
38:13and I was wondering if you could talk more
38:15to how you're going to differentiate yourself.
38:17I think what is a crowded market is the fitness industry.
38:20With us, the concept is one.
38:22It's simple.
38:23It's boxing.
38:23So, if people are looking specifically to learn boxing,
38:26this is the place they'll go.
38:28Hello.
38:29Hi.
38:29My name's Russell Barnes.
38:30I'm the CEO of David Lloyd Clubs.
38:32How are you going to get those who don't have any interest in boxing
38:35into your business?
38:37If you aren't a gym-goer
38:39and you have no familiarity with the gym,
38:43it can be a daunting concept.
38:44But if you can be brought to us through feeling,
38:48through emotion,
38:49then that's a very powerful thing.
38:52Sorry.
38:52How are you, therefore, going to address the fact that,
38:55by its very nature, boxing is aggressive?
38:58It only becomes aggressive when it becomes competitive.
39:01And so I don't think the aggression is an issue
39:03when we're looking at the market we're looking at.
39:06All right.
39:07It's been a pleasure.
39:17Absolutely smushed that money.
39:20The Lord Sugar.
39:22Is it a crowded market?
39:24Expert feedback.
39:25You know, back in the old days, in the early 90s,
39:27there's 80 fitness first clubs, 70 virgin actives,
39:30and so on and so on and so on.
39:31What she needs is, obviously, to get people to that location,
39:34and you need that by getting the best in class in every class.
39:37James is right.
39:38There's a lack of really, really good trainers,
39:40and that's why operators such as ourselves
39:42are trying to hang on as hard as we can to those trainers,
39:45because that's the reason very often
39:47why members come in again and again.
39:50The challenge, from a branding perspective,
39:53it's gym and it's experience, it's membership,
39:55and you actually look quite gritty, I thought.
39:58All right.
39:59Thank you so much.
40:00You're well, thank you, Lord Sugar.
40:06Next to take the floor, Rochelle Ray-Antony.
40:11I am so nervous.
40:13To get this far, it would be so disappointing
40:15to go home without the investment,
40:16and I have to get this right.
40:21Good evening, everybody.
40:22I started my salon at the ripe age of 24,
40:26a little business that grew very rapidly
40:29into a successful business
40:31that has now been going for the past 10 years.
40:34This business and the main focus behind it is diversity.
40:38I would walk into a salon with big, frizzy hair,
40:41and people would reject me.
40:42I knew that I never wanted a woman to ever feel that way,
40:46no matter what their color.
40:47And the National Occupational Standards
40:50only have just introduced, in 2021,
40:54Afro hair as standard to their syllabus.
40:57So potential to target existing stylists to retrain
41:00means that we will be able to expand the salon and the academy.
41:05It gives revenue with online training and lots of profit.
41:10So I'm just going to show you
41:12the advert that I created with my team.
41:15I do my hair toss, check my nails, baby, how you feelin'?
41:30Let your hair do the talking, book a visit,
41:33or call to train with us today.
41:36Once I have one salon established,
41:38I would then like to increase it and become nationwide.
41:42I would now like to open the floor for any questions.
41:45I'm Joan Scott.
41:47I'm the CEO of Habia,
41:48which is the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority.
41:50How will you scale up for business growth?
41:53I'm currently in Milton Keynes, and that would be the focus.
41:56And then after six months period, if I feel ready,
41:59and if everything is coming back in terms of revenue,
42:01I will then scale up to one salon per year.
42:05Okay, thank you.
42:06Hi, I'm Nicola Hughes, representing Saks Hair and Beauty.
42:10My brand is national, and we are trained,
42:14all our stylists, to cover all hair types.
42:16So why do you believe that you are offering anything different?
42:21It's so good that your salon does that,
42:23but unfortunately, not as many salons have the same ethos that you have,
42:27and unfortunately, there is still a huge gap within the market.
42:32I'm Lee Stafford.
42:33I know.
42:34Founder and owner of Lee Stafford Hair Care.
42:36Everybody is doing online education,
42:39some of the best hairdressers in our country.
42:42I still haven't really got a grip on what you are doing
42:45that's so special and so unique.
42:48So my business does have many layers,
42:51and that's why I've taken a different approach to the online training.
42:55I wish you well.
43:01Thank you, everyone.
43:08Come here.
43:08Come here.
43:09Come here.
43:09Come here.
43:10How are you?
43:10How are you?
43:14How do you scale up?
43:15I think the biggest issue is she's not bringing anything new to the table.
43:19Everything we heard her say, everybody's doing it.
43:22It's nothing new.
43:23She's set herself as a lot of layers to her business,
43:26but I think what she should do is focus on what she specialises in,
43:30which what I took from that was dealing with a certain type and texture of hair.
43:34So I think if she was to focus on that, she'd be very successful.
43:42I gave that pitch my absolute all.
43:45I just hope that it's enough to prove to Lord Sugar that I am the perfect business partner for him.
43:51I've been in it slugging away for 12 rounds.
43:54Now it's crunch time.
43:56We're going to find out who's going to get their hand raised.
44:00Tonight, there's nothing more the candidates can do.
44:04Tomorrow, the final showdown.
44:15You can go through to the boardroom now.
44:35Welcome back into these familiar surroundings.
44:40So let's start with Rochelle.
44:43Yeah.
44:43Now, who did the branding?
44:47So myself and Joe went off to do the branding.
44:49We worked on the logo, the tagline and...
44:53The name.
44:53The name.
44:54You chose, in the end, Rochelle.
44:56But there's no mention of hair in the branding.
44:59You might as well have shown a photo of Tim.
45:03Only adding to sales.
45:05Only adding to sales, of course.
45:06There we go.
45:07Frung beard, though.
45:08Right.
45:10Now, digital advertising board.
45:14Avi played his Steven Spielberg part in that, did you?
45:18Yes, I did, little sugar.
45:19And it was a real pleasure working with these two phenomenal actresses.
45:27I mean that, genuinely.
45:28It took 30 takes, but the last one was excellent.
45:31Oh, I remember it now.
45:33I couldn't...
45:34I couldn't see the difference between the before and the after.
45:38Right.
45:38I mean, you look quite good in the beginning.
45:40Oh, thank you.
45:41And then...
45:41Oh, that's right, that's right, that's right.
45:43There was no significant difference.
45:45It was just the sunglasses, wasn't it?
45:46Yeah, I think...
45:47And the confidence in her actions.
45:49It was the confidence.
45:51Now, you swapped Rochelle with Avi when it came to making the TV advert, is that right?
45:59Yeah, that's right, Lord.
46:00What was the reason for that?
46:01So, I don't know much about the metaverse.
46:03I know that it is the future.
46:05Neither does he, I've got to.
46:06No, I do.
46:08Yeah, I do, I do.
46:10No, you don't, no, you don't, you don't, honestly.
46:12But go on, carry on.
46:14I do think the boys were more suited to the metaverse.
46:17Never mind Tony and Guy, more like Laurel and Hardy.
46:23But didn't you think that it would have been more appropriate in that thing to have someone
46:29like Danny in it?
46:30What was really important, and the kind of ethos behind my brand, is diversity.
46:34And I couldn't have sent Danny and Victoria to do the advert, or even Avi, because unfortunately
46:40I wouldn't be representing a woman of colour, and I thought that was really important as
46:43part of my brand message.
46:45So, that was the one where we're swinging the hair from behind, right?
46:49Yeah.
46:50And that was you, Victoria?
46:51Decided to go into modelling after you told me my last business should be a hobby, so...
46:59Good.
47:00Let's move on to Marnie now, shall we?
47:03I believe that you and Bradley were responsible for the branding.
47:08Yeah, that's correct.
47:09If I had said to the wife, right, I'm just going down to the grit and glory tonight.
47:14LAUGHTER
47:18Sounds like a boozer to me.
47:21Simba, you suggested the name Roots, didn't you, at one stage?
47:25Yeah, I did.
47:26I think it was because of...
47:27Are you sure you weren't on Rochelle's team?
47:29LAUGHTER
47:32I didn't think of it that way, actually.
47:33That's a good one, yeah.
47:35Yeah.
47:37So, Bradley, you know Marnie's very set in her ways.
47:41Did you find the taking on board anything that you were saying?
47:44Every time I did ask the question as to why you're doing this, why you're doing that,
47:48she had a fantastic answer and it all made sense.
47:50I can wholeheartedly say he was so valuable because he allowed me to run with my idea,
47:55but guided...
47:56LAUGHTER
47:59Alan, therein lies the truth.
48:01Therein lies the truth.
48:03He guided me and he steered me.
48:05OK.
48:05So, then you've got Megan, Sohill and Simba to work on the digital display board,
48:13is that right?
48:13That's correct.
48:14Now...
48:14I thought it finished really strong.
48:16It was like the night of the Oscars with Will Smith, I think.
48:19I think that's right.
48:20And we haven't forgot that scene ever since.
48:22Yeah, there you go, it had an impact.
48:24Touche.
48:24Yeah.
48:24Touche.
48:25So, the metaverse, who did that?
48:27Me and Brad did that.
48:29You did?
48:29Well, you did it.
48:30Brad was with you.
48:31He did support me, he did.
48:33Yeah, he said, can I get you a cup of tea?
48:37LAUGHTER
48:41I think there was a shoulder massage off it at one point as well, so...
48:44So, the presentation to the experts.
48:48Simba, very good.
48:50I was very impressed with that, actually.
48:52As you can see, my voice is going a little bit...
48:55That was actually Brad's idea.
48:58Was it?
48:58So, Brad did have a really good point.
48:59Oh, thank God for that.
49:01So, I'll leave now.
49:04Thank you, Bradley.
49:05Well done.
49:07Good, good.
49:08All right.
49:09Well, look, thank you very much indeed for assisting in this final task.
49:16So, I'm going to carry on talking to them now.
49:19OK.
49:20So, off you go now for the last time.
49:23Thank you, Marcia.
49:24Thank you for having us.
49:24Good luck, girls.
49:25Good luck, girls, yeah.
49:31So, Marnie, when you leave here today, are you going to sign that lease?
49:37Absolutely.
49:38Right.
49:38And because the premises that you have are dilapidated,
49:43when do you believe you'll be all singing and all dancing and in business?
49:48Eight to ten weeks is what I've been told.
49:51Now, you know, after you finished your piece, I had five of the top guys came in to see me
49:58and what I got out of them was that there's nothing special that you're offering,
50:05that it's been done before.
50:08Boxing obviously has been done before, but not in this way.
50:11There is a huge, huge, huge...
50:13Why hasn't it been done in this way before?
50:15Because that's the good question.
50:17What am I investing in?
50:18That's what I'd like to know.
50:19The amateur boxing clubs, those spit-and-swordless low-end gyms,
50:23have an incredible atmosphere and people are drawn to them.
50:27On the other end of the spectrum, you get the high-end gyms with the nice facilities
50:30and it's very fancy, but there's no personality to it, no character.
50:34What are you going to do to make it different then?
50:37Because these guys didn't get that feeling from the presentation that you made.
50:42Well, with those high-end gyms, it's very superficial,
50:45so they do box fit, boxer size, and it's come and go.
50:47They don't get invested in the gym.
50:49They're not committed to it.
50:50There's no loyalty.
50:51With amateur boxing gyms, there is.
50:53And people come, they find friendships there,
50:55and that's why I was trying to get the message across in all the presentation.
50:58Well, you didn't.
50:58You didn't get it across to them.
50:59OK, so, Rochelle, why has it taken you 14 years to only have one salon?
51:04I would rather have one amazing, big, large base than lots of little ones that aren't successfully running.
51:14And to me, I didn't have the investment to be able to scale up.
51:18£9.4 million turnover in year five.
51:22Come on.
51:23Really?
51:24So, obviously, if I did successfully open the rest of them, then that would happen.
51:28But at the same time, Lord Sugar, I would have hair extensions in there,
51:32and the mark-up on hair extensions is really, it's about 40% mark-up.
51:35Then you have the Online Academy, which is 90% mark-up.
51:39It's literally complete profit.
51:40I'll tell you when the big problem starts, number two, number two branch,
51:45where you start to realise that you need...
51:49You want to duplicate yourself.
51:50No, it's worse than that.
51:52It's the logistics, for example.
51:54You need a system.
51:55Systems got to be put in place in order to be a multi-location business.
52:00Yeah.
52:01Right?
52:01No, that's very true.
52:02You say, yeah.
52:03No, absolutely, Rochelle.
52:04Have you thought it through?
52:05The reality is I do have those systems in place,
52:08and it is very difficult to get trustworthy staff.
52:11I'm, you know, not...
52:13I'm not...
52:13I don't know what the word is, but I'm not silly.
52:15I know...
52:16And I completely understand that.
52:17But there's lots of different avenues with hair, Lord Sugar.
52:19You can branch out in so many different ways.
52:21Right.
52:22Well, listen, ladies, this is a very difficult thing for me,
52:25so I'm going to ask, if you don't mind, for you to step outside.
52:29I'm going to have a final talk with Karen and Tim.
52:34Off you go.
52:41Karen, what's your thoughts?
52:43Marnie, she has never run a business before,
52:46and she's chosen a business that's very competitive.
52:50And can she stand out in this very competitive market?
52:54That being said, for an ambassador for a boxing facility,
52:57there is no-one better, I would think, than Marnie and what she stands for.
53:02And Rochelle.
53:03It's what you posed to her at the very beginning of this final stage.
53:07Prove to me this is scalable.
53:08I'm not 100% sure she's captured that piece about how she takes it from one successful store
53:14to a nationwide entity of By Rochelle.
53:17The one thing I know you can do is put the infrastructure around her
53:20that she will need to be able to focus on running her business.
53:24Well, thanks a lot.
53:26It really is appreciated.
53:27So I'll just bring these two in again,
53:29and I will decide which one of them is going to be my business partner.
53:37Yes, Lord Sugar?
53:38Hello, yes.
53:39Could you send the two of them in, please?
53:50Rochelle, why haven't you got a second branch?
53:53I started my business with literally £50,
53:56and I bought second-hand furniture, and then I built up.
53:59I have never had any type of investment,
54:01and that's why I'm here in this process for that £250,000 investment.
54:05Do you understand my concerns about the migration into the second branch?
54:09I do.
54:10The logistics.
54:11Not just down to the hair,
54:13it's down to lots of other commercial issues, you know?
54:16Yeah.
54:16Inventory, stocks, staff, people, rents, rates, all that stuff.
54:22Absolutely, but I have been currently doing that,
54:25so I know exactly what I'm doing.
54:26We haven't been doing that.
54:27You've only got one premises, haven't you?
54:28Yeah, but I know what I'm doing with that one premises,
54:31so all I have to do is duplicate it and then open the second or the third.
54:35Now, Mouni, you've never run a business before.
54:39Well, Lord Sugar, before I even answer that,
54:42in boxing we talk about leaving things in the ring,
54:44and I want to leave it all in here and let you know
54:46how passionate I am about this industry,
54:48how passionate I am about my business plan,
54:50and that I know the industry.
54:53OK, all right, talk that.
54:54Tell me, when do you think you're going to make some money?
54:56Lord Sugar, it makes money in the first year.
54:59The cash flow shows a profit from year one all the way through to year five.
55:02They're smaller margins, but regardless, this is a profitable business.
55:06It is lucrative.
55:06Lord Sugar, so I've already got that existing business that is running itself,
55:10so I could literally, in the next six months, get the lease in line,
55:14find the perfect location, get it installed, ready to go.
55:18Lord Sugar, I am just getting started.
55:21I'm just getting warmed up.
55:22I'm already looking at that second premises.
55:24I want to grow, I want to multiply, and I think I have what it takes.
55:28Lord Sugar, Marnie might be a boxer, but I'm a fighter,
55:31and I know that I can do what it takes to change the hair industry for the better.
55:35Well, look, ladies, I think that I've heard enough to conclude today now.
55:42Marnie, it is such a crowded and competitive market.
55:44I'm thinking, you know, is this £250,000 down the drain?
55:52Rochelle, what worries me about you is why will your second branch and your third branch
55:58be popular and make me money, make you money?
56:05And it's a tough one.
56:07But, Marnie, you're asking me to invest in something which is completely alien to me,
56:13to be honest.
56:14And you've never run a business before.
56:18Rochelle, it's opening the second one.
56:21And it really is a difficult decision as to what industry I should be in.
56:28Two very excellent candidates.
56:32But I've always been known to be a gambler.
56:36I've always been known to try new horizons.
56:40So I'm going to try a new horizon.
56:45Marnie, you are going to be my business partner.
56:53Well done.
56:56Congratulations.
56:57Okay, ladies.
56:58Very well done, the pair of you.
57:00Okay?
57:00Very, very, very well done.
57:02It's been amazing.
57:03You both have been.
57:16What an incredible opportunity, a moment, for a girl like me to get to a place like this
57:21and have become Lord Sugar's business partner.
57:24It feels strange to even say that.
57:26But I'm not going to stop saying it because I am so happy.
57:31Eighteen candidates.
57:34One investment.
57:35For now, Lord Sugar's search is over.
57:40Let's go.
57:42Let's do it.
