00:00:00111. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:00:05112. Alif Lam Mim Sad
00:00:16113. A Book revealed to you, so let there be no doubt in your heart concerning it, that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers.
00:00:31114. Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow any allies other than Him.
00:00:45115. You rarely remember
00:00:51116. And how many a town We destroyed, and Our punishment came upon them by night or while they were resting at midday
00:01:04117. Their only plea when Our punishment came upon them was, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
00:01:21118. So we will surely question those to whom the message was sent, and we will surely question the messengers.
00:01:31119. So we will surely relate to them with knowledge, for we were not absent.
00:01:42110. And the weighing on that Day is the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful.
00:01:55111. And those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost themselves because of their injustice towards Our verses.
00:02:11112. And We have established you in the land and made for you therein means of livelihood. Little are you grateful.
00:02:24113. And We created you, then fashioned you, then said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam."
00:02:38114. So they prostrated, except for Iblis, who was not among those who prostrated.
00:02:55115. He said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?"
00:03:02116. He said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”
00:03:12117. He said, "Then get down from it, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out; indeed, you are of the humiliated."
00:03:25118. He said, “Grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected.”
00:03:33119. He said, “You are one of those granted respite.”
00:03:38110. He said, “Because You have caused me to go astray, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path.”
00:03:49111. Then I will come at them from their front and from their rear and from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them grateful.
00:04:09111. He said, "Get out of it, disgraced and humiliated."
00:04:16112. Whoever among them follows you, I will surely fill Hell with all of you.
00:04:26113. And, O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will, but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.
00:04:43114. Then Satan whispered to them to show them what was hidden from them of their private parts, and said, “Your Lord did not forbid you from this tree.”
00:05:06115. Unless you are angels or immortals
00:05:15116. And he swore to them, “Indeed, I am to you both a sincere advisor.”
00:05:24117. So he deceived them with vanity
00:05:28118. So when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became visible to them, and they began to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise.
00:05:42119. And their Lord called to them, “Did I not forbid you from that tree?”
00:05:52110. And I tell you both that Satan is a clear enemy to you.
00:06:00111. They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
00:06:16112. He said, “Descend, some of you to others, and you will have on earth a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time.”
00:06:30113. He said, “Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth.”
00:06:39114. O Children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will be among the children of Adam.
00:07:02They mention
00:07:04115. O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he expelled your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to expose their private parts.
00:07:25116. He and his tribe see you from where you cannot see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies of those who do not believe.
00:07:45117. And when they commit an immorality, they say, “We found our fathers doing it, and God has ordered us to do it.” Say, “God does not order immorality. Do you say such things about God?”
00:08:11What you do not know
00:08:14118. Say, "My Lord has commanded justice. And set your faces toward every place of worship and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion."
00:08:29119. As you began, so shall you return.
00:08:33110. One group was guided, and another group deserved to be misguided. They took the devils as allies instead of God, while they thought that they were rightly guided.
00:08:56111. O Children of Adam, take your adornment at every mosque, and eat and drink, but do not be excessive. Indeed, He does not like the excessive.
00:09:17112. Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?"
00:09:29113. Say, "It is for those who believed during this worldly life, and exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection."
00:09:40114. Thus We explain the verses to a people who know.
00:09:47115. Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - whether committed openly or secretly - and sin and oppression without right."
00:10:01116. And that you associate with God that for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you say about God what you do not know.
00:10:19117. For every nation there is a term appointed; when their term comes, they cannot delay it for an hour, nor can they advance it.
00:10:35118. O Children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My verses, then whoever fears Allah and amends his ways - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
00:11:03119. And those who deny Our signs and are arrogant toward them - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
00:11:20110. And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about God or denies His verses? Those will receive their share of the Book.
00:11:39111. Even when Our messengers come to them to take their souls, they say, "Where were you invoking besides Allah?"
00:11:57112. They said, “They have strayed from us,” and they testified against themselves that they were disbelievers.
00:12:10113. He said, “Enter into the Fire with the nations of jinn and mankind who have passed away before you.”
00:12:26114. Every time a nation enters, it curses its sister nation, until when they have all gone through it together, the last of them will say to the first of them, "Our Lord, these are the ones who led us astray, so give them a double punishment."
00:12:54From the fire
00:12:56115. He said, “For every double, but you do not know.”
00:13:05116. The first of them will say to the last of them, “You had no advantage over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn.”
00:13:21117. Those who deny Our signs and are arrogant towards them will not have the gates of heaven opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until they are satisfied.
00:13:44Al-Qayyat
00:13:45117. And thus We recompense the criminals
00:13:50118. For them there will be a bed of Hell and coverings over them. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.
00:14:05119. And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.
00:14:24110. And We removed whatever rancor was in their hearts. Rivers flow beneath them.
00:14:36111. And they will say, “Praise be to Allah, who has guided us to this; we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us.”
00:14:50112. The messengers of our Lord came with the truth, and it was proclaimed to them, “This is Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do.”
00:15:10113. And the companions of Paradise will call out to the companions of the Fire, “We have found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?”
00:15:31114. They said yes, so a caller called out among them, “The curse of God be upon the wrongdoers.”
00:15:43115. Those who hinder people from the way of God and seek to make it crooked, and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter
00:15:57116. And between them is a veil, and on the Heights are men who recognize each by their mark.
00:16:10117. And they will call out to the owners of Paradise, "Peace be upon you." They have not yet entered it, though they long to.
00:16:23118. And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they will say, "Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people."
00:16:41119. And the people of the Heights called out to men they recognized by their marks, saying, “What good did your gathering do you, and what good was your arrogance?”
00:17:10110. O people of whom you swore that God would not show them mercy, enter Paradise, no fear will there be concerning you, nor will you grieve.
00:17:32111. And the inhabitants of the Fire will call to the inhabitants of Paradise, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden them to us."
00:17:58the disbelievers
00:17:59112. Those who took their religion as amusement and enmity, and were deluded by worldly life - today We will forget them as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs, and as they used to deny Our signs.
00:18:25113. And We have certainly brought them a Book which We have explained in detail with knowledge, as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
00:18:40114. Do they await anything but its fulfillment? On the Day its fulfillment comes, those who had forgotten it before will say, “The messengers of our Lord did indeed come with the truth, so will we have any?”
00:19:02From the intercessors
00:19:08115. So that they may intercede for us, or we may be restored to do other than what we were doing.
00:19:17116. They have lost themselves, and what they used to fabricate has vanished from them.
00:19:27117. Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself upon the Throne. He covers the night with the day.
00:19:46118. He covers the night with the day, which pursues it swiftly. And the sun, moon, and stars are subjected to His command.
00:20:01119. To Him belongs the creation and the command. Blessed is God, Lord of the worlds.
00:20:10110. Call upon your Lord humbly and secretly. Indeed, He does not love those who turn away.
00:20:22111. And do not cause corruption on the earth after it has been set right. And invoke Him in fear and hope. Indeed, the mercy of God is near to the doers of good.
00:20:39112. He is the one who sends the winds as heralds of his mercy.
00:20:48113. Even if you lift heavy clouds, we will heat them for a dead land.
00:21:01114. So We sent down water with it and brought forth with it all kinds of fruits.
00:21:11115. We also bring forth the dead, so that you may remember.
00:21:18116. And the good land - its vegetation comes forth by permission of its Lord.
00:21:25117. And that which is impure does not come forth except in a wretched state. Thus do We diversify the signs for a people who are grateful.
00:21:38117. We sent Noah to his people, and he said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him.”
00:21:51118. I fear for you the punishment of a great Day
00:22:00119. The chiefs of his people said, “Indeed, we see you in manifest error.”
00:22:11110. He said, “O my people, there is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.”
00:22:23111. I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you, and I know from God what you do not know.
00:22:35112. Did you not accept that a reminder came to you from your Lord through a man from among you to warn you and so that you may fear God and perhaps receive mercy?
00:22:55113. But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind people.
00:23:15114. And to the people of 'Ad We sent their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him. Will you not then fear Him?"
00:23:34115. The disbelieving leaders of his people said, “Indeed, we see you as foolish, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.”
00:23:52116. He said, “O my people, there is no foolishness in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.”
00:24:05117. I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am to you a trustworthy advisor.
00:24:14118. Are you surprised that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you to warn you?
00:24:28119. And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and increased you in stature
00:24:43110. So remember the favors of God that you may be successful
00:24:53111. They said, “Have you come to us so that we may worship God alone and abandon what our fathers used to worship?”
00:25:06112. So bring us what you promise, if you are truthful.
00:25:16113. He said, “Disgrace and wrath have already befallen you from your Lord.”
00:25:24114. Do you dispute with me concerning names which you and your forefathers have named, for which God has sent down no authority?
00:25:46115. So wait, for I am waiting with you.
00:25:56116. So We saved him and those with him by Our mercy, and We cut off the root of those who denied Our signs.
00:26:11117. And they were not believers
00:26:22118. And to Thamud We sent their brother Salih
00:26:27119. He said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him.”
00:26:35119. Clear proof has come to you from your Lord
00:26:43110. This is the she-camel of God, a sign for you.
00:26:48111. So leave them to graze in God's land.
00:26:54112. Do not harm her, lest a painful punishment seize you.
00:27:04113. And remember when He made you successors after the people of 'Ad and settled you in the land, where you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve out homes from the mountains.
00:27:24114. So remember the favors of God and do not spread corruption on earth.
00:27:35115. The arrogant leaders of his people said to those who were oppressed, to those who believed among them, “Do you know that Salih is a messenger from his Lord?”
00:27:54116. They said, “We are believers in that with which he was sent.”
00:28:04117. Those who were arrogant said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that which you have believed in."
00:28:17117. So they hamstrung the she-camel and defied the command of their Lord and said, “O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be among the messengers.”
00:28:34118. Then the earthquake seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes.
00:28:42119. So he turned away from them and said, “O my people, I have certainly conveyed to you the message of my Lord and advised you, but you do not like those who give advice.”
00:28:58110. And Lot, when he said to his people, “Do you commit such immorality as no one has ever committed before you among the worlds?”
00:29:14111. You approach men lustfully, instead of women.
00:29:26112. Rather, you are a transgressing people.
00:29:32113. And the only answer of his people was that they said, “Expel them from your town; indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure.”
00:29:52113. So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was among those who remained behind.
00:30:03114. And We rained down upon them a rain [of stones]. So see how was the end of the criminals.
00:30:15115. And to Madhān their brother Shu'ayb
00:30:20116. He said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him.”
00:30:29117. Clear proof has come to you from your Lord
00:30:37118. So give full measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and do not cause corruption on the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers.
00:31:01119. And do not sit on every path, threatening and hindering from the way of God those who believe in Him, seeking to make it crooked.
00:31:16110. And remember when you were few and He multiplied you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
00:31:31111. If a group among you has believed in that with which I have been sent, and a group has not believed, then be patient until God judges between us, and He is the best of judges.
00:31:58112. The arrogant leaders of his people said, "We will surely expel you, O Shu'ayb, and those who have believed with you from our cause, or you will return to our religion."
00:32:21113. He said, “We were unwilling.”
00:32:27114. He said, “We would have invented a lie against God if we returned to your religion after God had saved us from it.”
00:32:39115. And it is not for us to return to it unless God, our Lord, wills it.
00:32:54116. Our Lord encompasses all things in His knowledge.
00:32:59117. We put our trust in God.
00:33:03118. Our Lord, judge between us and our people with truth, for You are the best of judges.
00:33:14119. And the disbelieving leaders of his people said, "If you follow Shu'ayb, then you will surely be losers."
00:33:27111. Then the earthquake seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes.
00:33:35112. Those who denied Shu'ayb were as if they had never lived therein. Those who denied Shu'ayb were the losers.
00:33:51113. So he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I have certainly conveyed to you the messages of my Lord and advised you, so how can I grieve for a disbelieving people?"
00:34:08114. And We did not send a prophet to any town except that We seized its people with hardship and adversity so that they might humble themselves [before Us].
00:34:37115. Then We replaced the bad with good until they were satisfied. They said, “Our forefathers also experienced adversity and prosperity.” So We seized them suddenly while they were unaware.
00:35:03116. If only the people of the towns had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied, so We seized them for what they used to earn.
00:35:32117. Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them by night while they are asleep?
00:35:45118. Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them in the morning while they are playing?
00:35:57119. Do they feel secure from the plan of God? None feel secure from the plan of God except the losing people.
00:36:09110. Do those who inherit the earth after its former inhabitants not realize that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins?
00:36:26111. And We seal their hearts so they do not hear.
00:36:32112. Those villages - We relate to you some of their stories
00:36:41113. Their messengers had already come to them with clear proofs, but they would not believe in what they had previously denied.
00:36:55114. Thus does God seal the hearts of the disbelievers.
00:37:03115. And We did not find most of them keeping their covenant; indeed, We found most of them to be defiantly disobedient.
00:37:16116. Then We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wronged them. So see how was the end of the corrupters.
00:37:37117. And Moses said, “O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.”
00:37:47118. It is incumbent upon me to say nothing about God except the truth.
00:37:57119. I have come to you with clear proof from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel.
00:38:10110. He said, “If you have brought a sign, then produce it, if you are of the truthful.”
00:38:24111. So he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest.
00:38:31112. He withdrew his hand, and behold, it was white to the onlookers.
00:38:40113. The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said, "This is indeed a learned magician."
00:38:50114. He wants to drive you out of your land, so what do you advise?
00:38:59115. They said, “Delay him and his brother and send heralds to the cities.”
00:39:08116. They will bring you every skilled magician
00:39:13117. The magicians came to Pharaoh and said, “Indeed, we will have a reward if we are the victors.”
00:39:28117. He said, "Yes, and you are among those brought near."
00:39:35118. They said, “O Moses, either you throw [your staff], or we will be the ones to throw.”
00:39:50118. He said, “Throw,” and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and terrified them, and they came
00:40:05119. And We inspired Moses, "Throw down your staff," and at once it swallowed up what they were falsely claiming.
00:40:23110. So the truth prevailed, and what they were doing was proved false.
00:40:29111. So they were defeated there and returned humiliated.
00:40:35111. And the magicians fell prostrate.
00:40:39112. They said, "We believe in the Lord of the worlds."
00:40:47113. The Lord of Moses and Aaron
00:40:50114. Pharaoh said, “Did you believe in him before I gave you permission?”
00:40:58115. This is a plot you have devised in the city to expel its inhabitants from it, but you will soon know.
00:41:14116. I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and then I will crucify you all.
00:41:27117. They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return."
00:41:37117. And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us.
00:41:52118. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and cause us to die as Muslims.
00:42:03119. And the chiefs of Pharaoh's people said, "Will you leave Moses and his people to cause corruption in the land and abandon you and your gods?"
00:42:17119. He said, “We will kill their sons and spare their women, and indeed, we are dominant over them.”
00:42:31110. Moses said to his people, “Seek help from God and be patient.”
00:42:39111. The earth belongs to God; He gives it as an inheritance to whomever He wills of His servants, and the [best] outcome is for the righteous.
00:42:54112. They said, “We were harmed before you came to us and after you came to us.”
00:43:06113. He said, “Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors in the land, so that He may see how you will act.”
00:43:20114. And We certainly afflicted the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits so that perhaps they would be reminded.
00:43:34115. But when good came to them, they said, “This is ours.”
00:43:43116. And if any harm befalls them, they will blame it on Moses and those with him.
00:43:52117. Indeed, their fate is with God, but most of them do not know.
00:44:06118. And they said, “Whatever sign you bring us to bewitch us with, we will not believe you.”
00:44:19119. So We sent upon them the flood, the locusts, the locusts, the frogs, and the blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.
00:44:39111. And when the plague fell upon them, they said, “O Moses, invoke your Lord for us by the covenant He has made with you. If you remove the plague from us, we will surely believe in you.”
00:44:59And we will send the children of Israel with you.
00:45:06112. But when We removed the plague from them until a term which they were to reach, they were turned back.
00:45:20113. So We took vengeance on them and caused them to sink into the sea because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.
00:45:37114. And We caused the people who had been oppressed to inherit the eastern and western parts of the land which We had blessed. And the good word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of what they had done.
00:46:02Be patient
00:46:03115. And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had built and what they had erected.
00:46:15116. And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and they came upon a people devoted to their idols.
00:46:30117. They said, “O Moses, make for us a god like the gods they have.” He said, “Indeed, you are an ignorant people.”
00:46:46118. Those people are doomed in what they are doing, and what they used to do is futile.
00:46:59119. He said, “Should I seek for you a god other than God, while He has favored you above all the worlds?”
00:47:09110. And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment
00:47:20111. They kill your sons and spare your women; and in that is a great trial from your Lord.
00:47:38112. And We promised Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten, so the appointed time of his Lord was fulfilled at forty nights.
00:47:56113. Moses said to his brother Aaron, “Take my place among my people, set things right, and do not follow the way of the corrupters.”
00:48:08114. And when Moses came to Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, show me Yourself so I may look at You.”
00:48:24115. He said, “You will not see me, but look at the mountain; if it remains in its place, then you will see me.”
00:48:36116. When his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He made it crumble, and Moses fell unconscious.
00:48:47117. When he recovered, he said, “Glory be to You! I repent to You, and I am the first of the believers.”
00:48:58117. He said, “O Moses, I have chosen you above all people with My messages and My words, so take what I have given you and be among the grateful.”
00:49:16118. And We wrote for him on the tablets an instruction concerning all things and an explanation of all things. So take them firmly and command your people to take the best of them. I will show you the abode of
00:49:43The wicked
00:49:45119. I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant on earth without right; and even if they see every sign, they will not believe in it.
00:49:59110. And if they see the way of righteousness, they will not take it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will take it as a way.
00:50:18111. That is because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.
00:50:28112. And those who deny Our signs and the meeting of the Hereafter - their deeds have become worthless. Will they be recompensed except for what they used to do?
00:50:44113. And the people of Moses, after him, took from their ornaments a calf, a mere body that lowed.
00:50:55114. Do they not see that he neither speaks to them nor guides them in any way?
00:51:03115. They took him as a leader, and they were unjust.
00:51:08116. When they realized their error and saw that they had gone astray, they said, “If our Lord does not have mercy on us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers.”
00:51:26117. When Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, “How evil is what you have done after me!”
00:51:41118. Did you hasten the command of your Lord? He threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head, dragging him towards himself.
00:51:53119. Ibn Umm said, “The people oppressed me and almost killed me, so do not let the enemies rejoice over me, and do not place me with the oppressors.”
00:52:11110. He said, “My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.”
00:52:23111. Those who worshipped the calf will incur the wrath of their Lord and humiliation in this life. Thus do We recompense the liars.
00:52:40112. And those who commit evil deeds and then repent afterwards and believe - indeed, your Lord is, after that, Forgiving and Merciful.
00:52:56113. When the anger subsided in Moses, he took up the tablets, and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.
00:53:14114. And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointed time. And when the earthquake seized them, he said, “My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before, and me as well. Would You destroy us for what we have done?”
00:53:37The foolish among us did
00:53:41115. It is only a trial by which You lead astray whom You will and guide whom You will.
00:53:54116. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of those who forgive.
00:54:04117. And ordain for us good in this world and in the Hereafter. Indeed, we have turned to You.
00:54:17118. He said, “My punishment I inflict upon whomever I will, but My mercy encompasses all things.”
00:54:28119. I will write it down for those who fear God, give charity, and believe in Our verses.
00:54:41110. Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in their Torah and Gospel.
00:54:57111. He enjoins them to do good
00:55:00112. He enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong, and makes lawful for them what is good and forbids for them what is evil.
00:55:15113. And they shall lay down from them their burdens and the shackles that were upon them
00:55:28114. So those who believe in him, honor him, support him and follow the light which was sent down with him - it is they who will be successful.
00:55:45115. Say, [O Muhammad], "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth."
00:56:00116. There is no god but He; He gives life and causes death.
00:56:08117. So believe in God and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in God and His words, and follow him so that you may be guided.
00:56:23117. And among the people of Moses is a community who guide with truth and by it act justly.
00:56:35118. And We divided them into twelve tribes, nations.
00:56:41119. And We inspired Moses when his people asked him for water, saying, “Strike the rock with your staff,” and twelve springs gushed forth from it.
00:56:59110. Each people knows its own drinking place.
00:57:05111. And We shaded them with clouds and sent down to them manna and quails.
00:57:15112. Say, "From the good things We have provided for you, and they did not wrong Us, but they wronged themselves."
00:57:29113. And when they were told, “Dwell in this town and eat from it wherever you wish,”
00:57:37114. Say, “Hittah,” and enter the gate prostrating; We will forgive you your sins.
00:57:47115. We will increase the reward for those who do good.
00:57:51116. But those among them who did wrong changed the word that had been said to them.
00:57:59117. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky because of their wrongdoing.
00:58:09118. Ask them about the village that was by the sea.
00:58:16119. For they count on the Sabbath, when their fish come to them on their Sabbath day according to the law.
00:58:24111. On the day they do not observe the Sabbath, it does not come to them. Thus We test them because they were transgressing.
00:58:43112. And when a group among them said, “Why do you advise a people whom God will destroy or punish with a severe punishment?”
00:58:57113. They said, “As an excuse to your Lord, and perhaps they will fear Him.”
00:59:04114. But when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We saved those who forbade evil and seized those who wronged with a severe punishment for their transgression.
00:59:30115. So when they defiantly disobeyed what they were forbidden, We said to them, "Be you apes, despised."
00:59:40116. And when your Lord declared that He would surely send against them, until the Day of Resurrection, those who would inflict upon them the worst of punishments.
00:59:55117. Indeed, your Lord is swift in punishment.
01:00:00118. And He is Forgiving and Merciful
01:00:05119. And We divided them throughout the earth into nations.
01:00:10110. Among them are the righteous, and among them are those who are less than that.
01:00:16111. And We tested them with good and bad.
01:00:23111. Perhaps they will return
01:00:25112. Then there came after them a generation who inherited the Scripture, taking the fleeting pleasures of this lower life and saying, "It will be forgiven us." And if a similar blessing comes to them, they will take it.
01:00:45113. Did they not take a covenant from the Book that they should not say anything about God except the truth, and did they not study what was in it?
01:00:58114. And the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah.
01:01:05115. Do you not understand?
01:01:08116. And those who hold fast to the Scripture and establish prayer - indeed, We do not waste the reward of the righteous.
01:01:20117. And He made the mountain perfectly over them as if it were a canopy, and they thought it was going to fall on them.
01:01:36118. Take what We have given you with strength and remember what is in it, so that you may become righteous.
01:01:54119. And when your Lord took from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them bear witness to
01:02:06111. They will say to themselves, “Am I not your Lord?” They will say, “Yes, we bear witness.” This is so that you will not say on the Day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were unaware of this.”
01:02:25112. Or you might say, “Our forefathers associated partners with God before us, and we were their descendants after them. Will You destroy us for what the wrongdoers did?”
01:02:47113. Thus We explain the verses, so that perhaps they may return.
01:02:55114. And recite to him the news which We gave him: Our signs, but he detached himself from them; so Satan pursued him, and he became one of those who went astray.
01:03:10115. Had We willed, We could have elevated him thereby, but he clung to the earth and followed his own desires.
01:03:22116. So his example is like that of a dog: if you chase it, it pants, or if you leave it alone, it pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories so that perhaps they will understand.
01:03:45They ponder
01:03:47117. How evil is the example of the people who denied Our signs and wronged themselves!
01:04:00118. He whom God guides is truly guided, and he whom He leaves astray is the loser.
01:04:14119. And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears
01:04:39They don't hear about it
01:04:41110. They are like cattle, nay, they are even more astray. They are the heedless ones.
01:04:54111. And to Allah belong the most beautiful names, so invoke Him by them.
01:05:01112. And leave those who deviate from the truth concerning His names; they will be recompensed for what they have been doing.
01:05:15113. And among those We created is a community who guide with truth and by it establish justice.
01:05:26114. And those who deny Our signs - We will gradually lead them [to destruction] from where they do not expect.
01:05:37115. And I will grant them respite; indeed, My plan is firm.
01:05:43116. Have they not considered that their companion is not possessed by a jinn? He is but a clear warner.
01:05:58117. Have they not considered the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that God has created, and that perhaps their appointed time has drawn near? Then by what means
01:06:19A hadith after which they believe
01:06:23118. He whom God leaves astray, there is no guide for him, and He leaves them in their transgression, wandering blindly.
01:06:35119. They ask you about the Hour, when will it occur?
01:06:41110. Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord; none but He will reveal its time."
01:06:54111. So I said, “In the heavens and the earth, it will not come upon you except suddenly.”
01:07:03112. They ask you as if you were well-informed about it.
01:07:08113. Say, "Knowledge of it is only with God, but most people do not know."
01:07:20114. Say, "I possess no power to benefit or harm myself except as God wills."
01:07:32115. If I had known the unseen, I would have acquired much good and no evil would have touched me.
01:07:43116. I am only a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe.
01:07:52117. It is He who created you from one soul and made from it its mate so that he might find tranquility in her.
01:08:07118. When he covered her, she conceived a light burden and passed by him.
01:08:16119. So when the plea of God, their Lord, became heavy upon them, they said, “If You give us a good child, we will surely be among the grateful.”
01:08:30119. But when He gave them a good child, they associated partners with Him in what He had given them.
01:08:45110. Exalted is God above what they associate with Him.
01:08:51111. Do they associate with Him those who create nothing, while they themselves create?
01:08:59112. They cannot help them, nor can they help themselves.
01:09:09111. And if you call them to guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same to you whether you call them or remain silent.
01:09:26112. Those whom you invoke besides God are servants like yourselves. So invoke them and let them respond to you, if you are truthful.
01:09:44113. Do they have legs with which to walk, or hands with which to strike?
01:09:55114. Or do they have eyes with which to see? Or do they have ears with which to hear?
01:10:06115. Say, "Invoke your partners, then plot against me and do not give me respite."
01:10:15116. Indeed, God is the protector who revealed the Book.
01:10:23117. And He is the Guardian of the righteous.
01:10:27117. Those whom you invoke besides Him cannot help you, nor can they help themselves.
01:10:41118. And if you call them to guidance, they will not listen.
01:10:47119. You see them looking at you, yet they do not see.
01:10:55110. Forgiveness, enjoin what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.
01:11:02111. And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in God. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
01:11:17112. Those who fear God, when an impulse from Satan touches them, remember Him and at once they have insight.
01:11:31113. And their brothers support them in error and do not relent
01:11:39114. And if you do not bring them a sign, they say, “Why did you not choose it?” Say, “I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. These are insights from your Lord.”
01:12:02And guidance and mercy for people who believe
01:12:08115. And when the Qur’an is recited, listen to it attentively and be silent so that you may receive mercy.
01:12:18116. And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and fear and without being loud in speech, in the mornings and evenings, and do not be among the heedless.
01:12:34117. Those who are near to your Lord are not too proud to worship Him, and they glorify Him and prostrate to Him.
