00:00111. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:05112. They ask you about the spoils of war.
00:10113. Say, "The spoils belong to God and the Messenger."
00:15114. So fear God and amend the relations between yourselves and obey God and His Messenger, if you are believers.
00:29115. The believers are only those who, when God is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely.
00:57116. Those who establish prayer and spend from what We have provided for them
01:07117. Those are the true believers; they will have high ranks with their Lord, forgiveness, and generous provision.
01:23118. Just as your Lord brought you out of your home for a just cause, even though a party of the believers disliked it.
01:36119. They argue with you about the truth after it has become clear, as if they were being led to their deaths while they watched.
01:49110. And God will return one of the two groups to you, and you will wish that the one without thorns would be yours.
02:12111. And God wants to establish the truth by His words and to cut off the root of the disbelievers
02:21112. So that truth may prevail and falsehood be vanquished, even though the criminals may detest it.
02:29113. When you cried out to your Lord for help, He answered you, “I will reinforce you with a thousand angels in succession.”
02:44114. And God made it only good tidings and to reassure your hearts thereby
02:53115. Victory comes only from God. Indeed, God is Exalted in Might and Wise.
03:04116. When He caused drowsiness to overcome you as a security from Him, and He sent down water from heaven to purify you thereby and remove from you
03:22117. And He will remove from you the defilement of Satan, and strengthen your hearts and make your feet firm.
03:34118. When your Lord revealed to the angels, “I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed.”
03:45119. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, so strike them above the necks and strike off every fingertip of theirs.
03:57110. That is because they opposed God and His Messenger. And whoever opposes God and His Messenger, then indeed, God is severe in punishment.
04:16111. So taste that, and indeed, for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.
04:24112. O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn your backs to them [in battle].
04:39113. And whoever turns his back to them on that day, unless swerving for battle or joining a group, then draw near
04:56114. He has incurred the wrath of God, and his abode is Hell, a wretched destination.
05:12115. You did not kill them, but it was God who killed them. And you did not throw when you threw, but it was God who threw, that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, God
05:35All-Hearing, All-Knowing
05:37116. That is so, and God weakens the plot of the disbelievers.
05:44117. If you seek victory, then the lull has come upon you.
05:51118. But if you desist, it is better for you.
05:57119. And if you return, We will return, and your forces will not avail you anything, even if they are numerous. And indeed, God is with the believers.
06:11119. O you who have believed, obey God and His Messenger and do not turn away from him while you are hearing [his message].
06:26110. Do not be like those who say, “We have heard,” but do not hear.
06:34111. Indeed, the worst of creatures in the sight of God are the deaf and dumb who do not reason.
06:47112. If God had known any good in them, He would have made them hear; and even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away, averse.
07:00113. O you who have believed, respond to God and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.
07:12114. And they knew that God intervenes between a man and his heart, and that to Him you will be gathered.
07:26115. And beware of a trial which will not strike exclusively those of you who have wronged.
07:37116. And they knew that God is severe in punishment.
07:44117. And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might snatch you away, but He sheltered you.
08:00118. He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful.
08:11119. O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequences].
08:27110. And know that your wealth and your children are but a trial and that with God is a great reward.
08:43111. O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion [to distinguish right from wrong].
08:55112. And He will remove from you your sins and forgive you
09:02113. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
09:07114. And when those who disbelieved plotted against you to imprison you or kill you or expel you
09:18115. They plot, and Allah plots, and Allah is the best of plotters.
09:27116. And when Our verses are recited to them, they say, "We have heard. If we willed, we could say [something] like this."
09:47117. And when they said, “O God, if this is indeed the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring us a painful punishment.”
10:10118. And God would not punish them while you were among them.
10:18119. And God would not punish them while they sought forgiveness.
10:26110. And why should God not punish them when they obstruct access to the Sacred Mosque and are not its guardians? Its guardians are only the righteous, but most of them
10:54They do not know
10:55111. Their prayer at the House was nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment for what you used to disbelieve.
11:15112. Those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it, then it will be a regret for them, then they will be overcome.
11:39113. And those who disbelieve will be gathered into Hell.
11:48114. So that God may distinguish the wicked from the good and pile the wicked one upon another, heaping them all together and putting them into hell.
12:08115. Those are the losers
12:15116. Say to those who disbelieve, if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven them; but if they return [to disbelief], then the precedent of the former peoples has already passed.
12:34117. Fight them until there is no more persecution and [until] worship is entirely for Allah. But if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.
12:56118. And if they turn away, then know that God is your Protector, the best of protectors and the best of helpers.
13:12119. And know that whatever you suspect, God has a share in it, and the Messenger, and the near relatives, and the orphans, and the needy.
13:33110. And the wayfarer, if you have believed in God and in what We revealed to Our servant
13:53111. The Day of Distinction, the day the two armies met
14:12112. And God is capable of all things.
14:19113. You are at the lowest handhold, and they are at the highest handhold, and the caravan is below you.
14:33113. If you had made an appointment, you would have disagreed about the time, but so that God might accomplish a matter already decreed.
14:47114. That those who were to perish might perish with clear evidence, and those who were to live might live with clear evidence.
15:06115. And indeed, God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing
15:14116. When God shows them to you in your dream as few in number
15:20117. And if He had shown them to you in great numbers, you would have lost heart and disputed about the matter, but God saved you. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
15:41117. And when you met, He made them appear few in your eyes and made you appear few in their eyes, so that God might accomplish a matter already decreed.
16:02118. And to God all matters are returned.
16:08119. O you who have believed, when you meet a group [in battle], stand firm and remember Allah often that you may be successful.
16:26110. And obey God and His Messenger, and do not dispute, lest you lose courage and your strength depart; and be patient. Indeed, God is with the patient.
16:44111. And do not be like those who went forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people and avert [people] from the way of Allah. And Allah is encompassing of what they do.
17:09112. And Satan condemned their deeds and said, “No one can overcome you today, and I am your protector.”
17:25113. When the two armies came into sight of each other, he turned on his heels and said, “I am innocent of you.”
17:40114. He said, “I am innocent of you. I see what you do not see. I fear God, and God is severe in punishment.”
18:04115. As the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease say, “Their religion has deluded them.” But whoever puts his trust in God, then indeed, God is Exalted in Might and Wise.
18:29116. If only you could see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved, striking their faces and their backs, and saying, “Taste the punishment of the burning fire!”
18:48117. That is because of what your hands have put forth, and God is not unjust to His servants.
19:01118. Likewise, the people of Pharaoh and those before them
19:09119. They disbelieved in God's signs, so God seized them for their sins.
19:18110. God is powerful and severe in punishment.
19:26111. That is because God did not change the blessings He bestowed upon a people until they changed what was within themselves.
19:45112. And God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing
20:05113. Likewise, the people of Pharaoh and those before them
20:14114. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins and drowned the people of Pharaoh.
20:29115. And all of them were unjust.
20:34116. Indeed, the worst of creatures in the sight of God are those who disbelieve, for they will not believe.
20:49117. Those with whom you made a covenant, then they break their covenant every time.
21:02118. And they do not fear God.
21:06118. So if you gain the upper hand over them in battle, then strike them from behind so that they may take heed.
21:20119. And if you discover treachery from a people, then throw back to them their treaty in a fair manner. Indeed, God does not like the treacherous.
21:43110. And let not those who disbelieve think that they will escape. Indeed, they will not escape.
21:56111. And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of good steeds by which you may terrify the enemy of God and your enemy
22:13112. And others besides them whom you do not know, God knows them.
22:30113. Whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
22:46114. And if they incline towards peace, then incline towards it also, and rely upon God.
22:56115. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing
23:02116. And if they intend to deceive you, then sufficient for you is God; He is the One who supported you with His victory and with the believers.
23:21117. And He united their hearts
23:25117. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but God united them. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.
23:48118. O Prophet, Allah is sufficient for you and for those who follow you of the believers.
23:59118. O Prophet, urge the believers to fight
24:09119. If there are twenty steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundred.
24:19110. And if there are a hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they are a people who do not understand.
24:37111. Now God has lightened your burden, for He knows that there is weakness in you.
24:49111. If there are one hundred steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundred.
25:01112. And if there are a thousand of you, they will overcome two thousand by permission of God. And God is with the patient.
25:17113. It is not for a prophet to have captives until he has established himself in the land.
25:28114. You desire the fleeting pleasures of this world, while God desires the Hereafter. And God is Exalted in Might and Wise.
25:41115. Had it not been for a prior decree from God, you would have been afflicted with a great punishment for what you took.
25:55116. So eat of what you have gained, lawful and good, and fear God. Indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
26:13117. O Prophet, say to those captives who are in your hands
26:33118. If God knows any good in your hearts
26:40119. And if He gives you something better than what was taken from you and forgives you
26:51110. And God is Forgiving and Merciful
26:56111. And if they intend to betray you, they have already betrayed God before, so He gave you power over them.
27:07112. And God is All-Knowing, All-Wise
27:11113. Those who believed and emigrated and struggled with their wealth and their lives in the cause of God
27:29114. And those who believed but did not emigrate - you have no guardianship over them until
27:57115. And if they seek help in matters of religion, then you must help them, except against a people with whom you have a treaty.
28:15116. And God is All-Seeing of what you do.
28:21117. And those who disbelieve are allies of one another.
28:29117. If you do not do it, there will be tribulation on earth and great corruption.
28:41118. And those who believed and emigrated and struggled in the cause of God
28:50119. And those who gave refuge and support - it is they who are the true believers.
29:01111. They will have forgiveness and a generous provision.
29:08112. And those who believed afterwards and emigrated and fought with you - those are of you.
29:22111. And those related by blood are more entitled to one another in the Book of God.
29:32112. God is All-Knowing of everything.
