00:00111. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:06112. Sad
00:09113. And the Qur'an, full of remembrance
00:13114. But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension
00:20115. How many generations did We destroy before them, and they cried out, but there was no escape.
00:32116. And they wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves
00:42117. The disbelievers said, “This is a lying magician.”
00:50118. I will make the gods into one God
00:56119. This is truly a remarkable thing.
01:01110. And the chiefs among them set out, saying, “Go forth and be patient with your gods.”
01:11111. This is something that is intended
01:17112. We have not heard of this in the previous religion; this is nothing but a fabrication.
01:28113. Has the Reminder been sent down to him from among us?
01:35114. Rather, they are in doubt concerning My remembrance.
01:41115. But they have not yet tasted the punishment
01:46116. Or do they possess the treasuries of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower?
01:56117. Or do they possess the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them?
02:05118. Let them ascend in the means
02:09119. The army there was defeated by the parties
02:18119. The people of Noah, 'Ad, and Pharaoh of the stakes denied the truth before them.
02:28111. And Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket
02:35112. Those parties
02:39113. Indeed, all of them lied about the messengers, so punishment was justified.
02:47114. And these people are only waiting for a single blast, which will have no respite.
03:02115. And they said, “Our Lord, hasten for us our share before the Day of Reckoning.”
03:11116. Be patient with what they say, and remember Our servant David, the possessor of strength.
03:20117. He is a penitent.
03:25118. Indeed, We subjected the mountains to him, glorifying [Allah] in the evening and at sunrise.
03:35118. And the birds were gathered together, each one obedient to Him.
03:43119. And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and decisive speech.
03:52110. And has the news of the adversaries reached you, when they climbed over the wall into the sanctuary?
04:00111. When they entered upon David, he was terrified of them.
04:06112. And they exaggerated and did not stop.
04:09113. Two adversaries, one of whom wronged the other
04:14114. So judge between us with truth and do not be unjust, and guide us to the straight path.
04:27114. This brother of mine has ninety-nine ewes.
04:37115. I have one ewe.
04:46116. He said, “Entrust her to me,” and he prevailed over me in speech.
04:53117. He said, “He has wronged you by asking for your ewe to add to his ewes.”
05:00118. And indeed, many partners wrong one another.
05:11119. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, and few are they.
05:20119. And David thought that We had only tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord and fell down prostrate and turned in repentance.
05:35110. So forgive him that, and indeed, he has nearness to Us and a good abode.
05:46111. O David, We have made you a successor on earth, so judge between the people in truth.
06:01112. And do not follow your desires, for they will lead you astray from the path of God.
06:09113. Those who stray from the path of God will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Reckoning.
06:25114. And We did not create the heavens and the earth and that between them in vain.
06:34115. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve. Woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire!
06:46116. Or shall We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on earth? Or shall We treat the righteous like the wicked?
07:02117. This is a blessed Book which We have sent down to you, so that they may ponder its verses and that those of understanding may take heed.
07:17118. And We gave to David Solomon
07:23119. Yes, the servant
07:25110. He is a penitent.
07:30111. When the swift, noble steeds were presented to him in the evening
07:37111. He said, “I preferred the love of good things to the remembrance of my Lord, until the inheritance was veiled.”
07:50112. Bring them back to me, and he began wiping their legs and necks.
08:00113. And We certainly tested Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he repented.
08:13114. He said, “My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.”
08:30115. So We subjected the wind to him, blowing gently by his command wherever he directed it.
08:40116. And the demons, every builder and diver
08:49117. And others bound together in shackles
08:55118. This is our gift, so who will withhold it without reckoning?
09:04119. And indeed, he has nearness to Us and a good abode.
09:12119. And remember Our servant Job, when he called upon his Lord, “Indeed, Satan has afflicted me with hardship and suffering.”
09:28110. Run with your mount; this is a cool bath and a drink.
09:38111. And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding.
09:53112. Take a bundle of grass in your hand and strike with it, and do not break your oath.
10:01113. Indeed, We found him patient.
10:06114. What an excellent servant! Indeed, he is ever turning back [to Allah].
10:12115. And remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of strength and vision.
10:25116. Indeed, We purified them with a special quality: remembrance of the Hereafter.
10:35117. And indeed, they are among the chosen and virtuous in Our sight.
10:43118. And mention Ishmael and Elisha, and that is
10:49119. And all the good people
10:54110. This is a male
10:56111. And indeed, for the righteous is a good abode.
11:02112. The gates of Eden will be opened to them.
11:10113. Reclining therein, they will call for abundant fruit and drink.
11:21114. And they have maidens of modest gaze, of equal age.
11:28115. This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning
11:34116. This is Our provision, which will never end.
11:42117. Indeed, for the transgressors there is a terrible destination.
11:49118. Hell they will enter, and wretched is the resting place.
11:56119. This is what they will taste: boiling water and pus.
12:03119. And another of its kind in pairs
12:09110. This is a raiding party with you.
12:15111. They are not welcome.
12:19112. They burned in the fire
12:23113. They said, "Rather, you are not welcome."
12:30113. You presented it to us, and what a terrible decision!
12:38114. They said, “Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us, punish him with double the punishment in the Fire.”
12:51115. They said, “Why do we not see men whom we considered to be evil?”
13:02116. Did we take them as a mockery, or have our eyes turned away from them?
13:10117. That is the truth of the quarreling of the people of Hell.
13:19118. Say, "I am only a warner."
13:25119. There is no god but God, the One, the Subduer
13:33110. Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving.
13:42111. Say, "It is a great message."
13:45112. You are turning away from him
13:50113. I had no knowledge of the assembly above when they disputed.
14:00114. It is not revealed to me except that I am a clear warner.
14:12115. When your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.”
14:24116. So when I have fashioned it and poured into it of My spirit, then fall down prostrating yourselves before it.
14:33117. And all the angels prostrated themselves together
14:40118. Except Iblis, who was arrogant and became one of the disbelievers.
14:48118. He said, “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My own hands?”
14:57119. Were you arrogant, or were you among the exalted ones?
15:03110. He said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”
15:14111. He said, “Then get out of it, for you are accursed.”
15:20112. And my curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment.
15:28113. He said, “My Lord, then grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected.”
15:36113. He said, “You are among those granted respite.”
15:42114. Until the appointed time
15:46115. He said, “By Your might, I will surely mislead them all.”
15:53116. Except for Your chosen servants among them
15:59117. He said, “The truth, and the truth I say.”
16:04118. I will surely fill Hell with you and all those who follow you.
16:15119. Say, "I do not ask you for any reward for it, nor am I one of those who pretend."
16:26119. It is nothing but a reminder to the worlds
16:32110. And you will surely know its news after a while.
