00:00111. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:05112. And two names
00:12113. These are the verses of the clear Book
00:17114. Perhaps you will grieve yourself to death that they will not be believers.
00:24115. Indeed, a sign was sent down to them from the sky, and their necks remained bowed in submission to it.
00:38116. And no reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
00:49117. They have lied, so the news of what they used to ridicule will come to them.
01:00118. Have they not seen the earth, how much We have caused to grow therein of every noble kind?
01:10119. Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers.
01:18110. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
01:24111. And when your Lord called Moses, saying, “Go to the wrongdoing people.”
01:32112. Pharaoh's people
01:35113. Do they not fear God?
01:37114. He said, “My Lord, I am afraid that they will deny me.”
01:45115. My heart is heavy, and my tongue is not fluent; so I send to Aaron
01:53116. They have a claim against me, and I fear they will kill me.
02:01117. He said, “No, go with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.”
02:11118. So come, O Pharaoh, and say, “We are messengers of the Lord of the worlds.”
02:20119. Send the Israelites with us
02:27110. He said, “Did we not raise you among us as a child, and did you not remain among us for many years of your life?”
02:36111. And you did what you did while you were among the disbelievers.
02:43112. He said, “I did it then, while I was among the misguided.”
02:53113. So I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers.
03:05114. And is that a favor you bestow upon me, that you have enslaved the children of Israel?
03:16115. Pharaoh said, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"
03:21116. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and that which is between them said, if you are certain
03:32117. He said to those around him, “Are you not listening?”
03:38117. Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers said
03:45118. He said, “Indeed, your messenger who was sent to you is a madman.”
03:53119. The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them said, "If you have any sense."
04:03119. He said, “If you take a god other than Me, I will surely put you among the prisoners.”
04:13110. He said, “I have brought you something clear.”
04:18111. He said, “Then bring him if you are truthful.”
04:26112. So he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest.
04:33113. He withdrew his hand, and behold, it was white to the onlookers.
04:41114. He said to the crowd around him, “This is a skilled magician.”
04:50115. He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?
05:00116. They said, “Delay him and his brother, and send heralds to the cities to gather them.”
05:09117. They will bring you every skilled magician
05:14118. So the magicians were gathered for an appointed time on a known day.
05:20119. And it was said to the people, “Are you gathered together?”
05:27110. Perhaps we should follow the magicians if they are the victors.
05:35111. When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, “Will we have a reward if we are the victors?”
05:49112. He said, "Yes, and indeed you will be among those brought near [to Allah]."
05:56113. Moses said to them, “Throw what you are going to throw.”
06:06114. So they threw down their ropes and staffs and said, “By the might of Pharaoh, we will surely be the victors!”
06:18115. So Moses threw down his staff, and behold, it swallowed up what they had fabricated.
06:25116. So the magicians fell down prostrating themselves.
06:29117. They said, "We believe in the Lord of the worlds."
06:36118. The Lord of Moses and Aaron
06:39119. He said, “Have you believed in him before I gave you permission? Indeed, he is your master who taught you magic. You will soon know.”
06:54119. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all.
07:06111. They said, "No harm will befall us; indeed, to our Lord we will return."
07:16112. We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, for we are among the believers.
07:30113. And We inspired Moses, "Take My servants by night; indeed, you will be pursued."
07:42114. So Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities.
07:48115. These are but a few.
07:56116. And they are enraging us.
08:01117. And we are all on guard
08:06118. So We expelled them from gardens and springs
08:13118. And treasures and an honorable position
08:17119. Thus We caused the Children of Israel to inherit it.
08:25111. So they pursued them at sunrise
08:29112. When the two armies saw them, the companions of Moses said, “We are surely overtaken!”
08:40113. He said, "No, indeed, my Lord is with me; He will guide me."
08:48114. So We inspired Moses, "Strike the sea with your staff."
08:57115. Then it split apart, and each part was like a great mountain.
09:03116. And We brought the others near.
09:08117. And We saved Moses and all those with him.
09:15118. Then we drowned the others
09:19119. Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers.
09:28119. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
09:34110. And recite to them the story of Abraham
09:38111. When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?”
09:44112. They said, “We worship idols and remain devoted to them.”
09:51113. He said, “Do they hear you when you call upon them?”
09:56114. Or they may benefit you or harm you
10:01115. They said, “But we found our fathers doing the same.”
10:11116. He said, “Have you considered what you have been worshipping?”
10:17117. You and your forefathers
10:24118. They are enemies to me, except for the Lord of the worlds.
10:32119. He who created me, He guides
10:36111. He is the one who feeds me and gives me drink
10:42112. And when I am sick, it is He who heals me.
10:46111. He who will cause me to die and then bring me back to life
10:51112. And I hope that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment
11:00113. My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous.
11:07114. And He has granted me a reputation of truth among later generations.
11:14115. And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss
11:21116. And forgive my father, for he was among those who went astray.
11:31117. And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.
11:35118. The Day when neither wealth nor children will avail
11:41119. Except for one who comes to God with a sound heart
11:46119. And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous.
11:52110. Hell has become clear to the deviants
11:56111. And it was said to them, “Wherever you worship
12:02112. Without God, can they help you or be helped?
12:10113. So they were thrown into it, they and the misguided ones.
12:15114. And all the soldiers of Satan
12:18115. They said, while they were disputing therein
12:23116. By God, we were clearly in error.
12:30117. When we equate you with the Lord of the worlds
12:35118. And none led us astray except the criminals.
12:42119. So we have no intercessors.
12:46119. Nor a close friend
12:49110. If only we had a ball, we would be among the believers.
12:57111. Indeed, in that is a sign
13:01112. And most of them were not believers
13:05113. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
13:11114. The people of Noah denied the messengers.
13:16114. When their brother Noah said to them, “Will you not fear God?”
13:22115. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
13:26116. So fear God and obey me.
13:30117. And I do not ask you for any reward for it.
13:35118. My reward is only with the Lord of the Worlds
13:41119. So fear God and obey me.
13:45119. They said, “Shall we believe in you when the lowest of people have followed you?”
13:52110. He said, “And what knowledge do I have of what they were doing?”
13:57111. Their reckoning is only with my Lord.
14:02112. If you could feel
14:04113. I am not one to persecute believers.
14:10113. I am but a clear warner
14:14114. They said, “If you do not desist, Noah, you will surely be among those who are stoned.”
14:23115. My Lord said, “My people have lied to me.”
14:28116. So judge between me and them decisively, and save me and those with me who believe.
14:38117. So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship
14:45118. Then we drowned the rest.
14:50119. Indeed, in that is a sign
14:54111. And most of them were not believers
14:59112. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
15:05111. The people of 'Ad denied the messengers
15:09111. When their brother Hud said to them, “Will you not fear God?”
15:15112. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
15:20113. So fear God and obey me.
15:23114. And I do not ask you for any reward for it.
15:28115. My reward is only with the Lord of the Worlds
15:34116. Do you build on every high place a monument, trifling with yourselves?
15:40117. And you build palaces so that you may live forever.
15:46118. And if you seize, you seize like tyrants.
15:51119. So fear God and obey me.
15:55110. And fear Him who has provided you with what you know.
16:02111. He provided you with livestock and children
16:08111. Cheeks and eyes
16:12112. I fear for you the punishment of a great Day
16:19113. They said, "It is all the same to us whether you preach or not."
16:30114. This is nothing but the creation of the ancients.
16:37115. And we will not be punished
16:40116. But they denied him, so We destroyed them.
16:44117. Indeed, in that is a sign
16:48118. And most of them were not believers.
16:53119. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
16:58111. The people of Thamud denied the messengers.
17:03111. When their brother Salih said to them, “Will you not fear God?”
17:09112. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
17:14113. So fear God and obey me.
17:18114. And I do not ask you for anything in return.
17:23115. My reward is only with the Lord of the Worlds
17:29116. Will you be left safe here?
17:35117. In gardens and springs
17:39118. And crops and date palms with ripe fruit
17:45119. You carve out houses of splendor from the mountains.
17:51111. So fear God and obey me.
17:55111. And do not obey the command of the wasteful.
18:01112. Those who spread corruption on earth and do not reform
18:07113. They said, “You are but one of those bewitched.”
18:16114. You are but a human being like us, so bring forth a sign if you are truthful.
18:29114. He said, “This is a she-camel; she has a drink, and you have a drink, on a known day.”
18:38115. Do not harm her, lest you be seized by the punishment of a great Day.
18:48116. So they hamstrung her, and they became remorseful.
18:52117. So the punishment seized them. Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers.
19:04118. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
19:10119. A people denied the homeland of the messengers
19:15110. When their brother from the homeland said to them, “Will you not fear God?”
19:21111. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
19:25112. So fear God and obey me.
19:29113. And I do not ask you for any reward for it.
19:35113. My reward is only with the Lord of the Worlds
19:40114. Do you approach males from among the people?
19:45115. And you abandon what your Lord has created for you of your spouses
19:52116. Rather, you are a transgressing people.
19:57117. They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be among those expelled."
20:06117. He said, “Indeed, I am one of those who detest your deeds.”
20:12118. My Lord, save me and my family from what they do.
20:17119. So We saved him and all his family.
20:23119. Except for an old woman among the ancients
20:27110. Then we destroyed the others.
20:32111. And We rained down upon them a rain
20:37112. The rain of those who were warned was evil.
20:43113. Indeed, in that is a sign
20:47114. And most of them were not believers.
20:52115. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
20:57116. The people of the thicket denied the messengers
21:03117. When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God?"
21:08118. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
21:13119. So fear God and obey me.
21:17119. And I do not ask you for anything in return.
21:22111. My reward is only with the Lord of the Worlds
21:28112. Give full measure and do not be among those who cause loss.
21:33113. They weighed with a straight balance.
21:38114. Do not deprive people of their due.
21:44115. And do not spread corruption on the earth.
21:48116. And fear Him who created you and the first generations.
21:55117. They said, “You are but one of those bewitched.”
22:03118. You are but a human being like us.
22:09119. And your assumption is that you are among the liars.
22:14119. Then cause a fragment of the sky to fall upon us, if you are truthful.
22:25110. My Lord knows best what you do.
22:31111. But they denied him, so the punishment of the Day of the Shadow seized them.
22:37112. It was the torment of a great day.
22:42113. Indeed, in that is a sign
22:46114. And most of them were not believers.
22:51115. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
22:57116. And it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
23:04117. The faithful Spirit descended with him.
23:07117. On your heart, that you may be among the warners.
23:13118. In clear Arabic
23:18119. And it is in the scriptures of the ancients.
23:23119. Was it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel knew it?
23:35110. And if We had revealed it to some of the non-Arabs
23:41111. So he recited it to them, and they did not believe in it.
23:47112. We have thus instilled it in the hearts of the wicked.
23:53113. They will not believe in him until they see the painful punishment.
24:00114. It will come upon them suddenly while they are unaware.
24:06115. They will say, “Are we to be given respite?”
24:11116. Are they hastening Our punishment?
24:15117. Have you considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years?
24:21118. Then what they had been promised came to pass.
24:28118. What good did their enjoyment do them?
24:36119. And We did not destroy any town except that it had warners.
24:45111. Remember, and we were not unjust.
24:49112. And what the devils brought down
24:54113. It is not appropriate for them, nor are they able.
25:00114. They are cut off from hearing.
25:05115. Do not invoke any other deity besides God, or you will be among those who are punished.
25:14116. And warn your closest relatives.
25:19117. And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.
25:25117. If they disobey you, say, “I am innocent of what you do.”
25:34118. And rely upon the Almighty, the Merciful
25:39119. He who sees you when you stand
25:43110. And your movements among those who prostrate
25:47111. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing
25:52111. Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend?
25:59112. It will descend upon every wicked liar
26:04113. They listen intently, but most of them are liars.
26:09114. And the poets are followed by the greedy.
26:15115. Have you not seen that they wander about in every valley?
26:22116. And that they say what they do not do
26:27117. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds
26:33118. And they remembered God often.
26:36119. And they were victorious over some of the injustice they suffered.
26:42119. And those who have wronged will know that the consequences will be reversed.
26:49111. They turn over
