In this video, I share how my business ranks 80% of the time on page 1 of Google via the map pack for SEO. Ranking for SEO also ranks me for terms like "SEO Near Me, SEO Company, SEO Services, SEO Saratoga, and so on, which is important since I'm only showing off one keyword scan. Top rankings on Google are a mix of a physical business address, Google Business Profile optimizations, website updates, and third-party sites talking about the brand.

00:00Hey everyone, what's going on? Greg here again from Team Blast. So I'm in local Falcon for my
00:04own business. I search for the keyword SEO. I'm on page one of Google 80% of the time. This
00:08is
00:08the heat map. So dots one, two, and three, the dark green ones. They represent you on page one
00:12of Google when someone searches for SEO or SEO near me, SEO company, you know, et cetera. Each
00:18of these dots is actually 0.8 miles away from each other, which is really important because if you
00:22make your radius too far, it could be four miles in between each dot. You're going to be missing
00:26on a lot of towns and cities. So in this video, I want to just kind of explain what I've
00:30been
00:30doing with my business, why it's ranking pretty well, because it's the same thought process for
00:34my clients, but obviously I can't really demo off their profile. So I have to sort of show
00:38mine here. So let's go to view competitor report. The top list in here is Saratoga Digital Marketing.
00:46They're at a 92%. If you round up, I'm at an 80%. They're doing better than me, but I'm in
00:50the top
00:51two. So that's pretty good. Let's go to compare locations and compare them to Team Blast.
00:56I do this for all my clients, especially the new ones when I really have to understand
00:59kind of what I'm onboarding, but there's two things that stand up to me. Number one, Saratoga
01:04Digital Marketing is located directly on Broadway or actually, well, right off Broadway, which is in
01:10downtown Saratoga Springs. That is a major ranking factor. So if you're looking to rank better in your
01:15city and let's say you're, I'll make up a location. Let's pretend you're in, I don't know. Let's say you
01:21want to be in Atlanta, Georgia, but you're, you know, five or six miles outside of it, but to be
01:27in Atlanta, you really want to rank, then I recommend getting a physical location in downtown
01:31Atlanta. If you're looking to rank their location is a major ranking factor. It goes without saying
01:37to having a physical location will outrank a service area business almost every time. Number two
01:42is the phone number. They, Saratoga Digital has a 518. That's the local area code in the Albany,
01:48New York, Saratoga region. I don't, I have an 877. That's because that number is a grasshopper
01:53number. And I've had that since I think 2017 ever since I've launched my business and yeah,
01:58I could change my number. Um, for my business, I don't see it as a big difference, but if I
02:04was a
02:05roofing company or if I was looking or if I was like very hyper local, which TM Blast is not
02:10because
02:10I work with clients all across the United States. Um, and even sometimes Canada too. But, um, if I was
02:16hyper local with my business, I would actually get a second phone number that had 518 because
02:21it's a slight ranking factor. It gets a little bit more credibility to your business and can
02:24help influence more clicks. Of course, reviews matter categories, you know, matter. They're
02:29using marketing agency, mine's entertainment marketing service as the primary. I believe
02:33actually, you know what? I take that back. Mine is marketing agency as well. So we're both
02:37doing the same thing. Um, all right. So we know from the compare two things, obviously they
02:43have the downtown location and they have the 518. I have the 877. Okay. So those are really
02:47easy gaps. Next, what I do for my clients is let's go to the services section. So you see
02:54here, I have a lot of services I need to go through, but what I did was I wrote a
02:59bunch
03:00of services for the locations that I really wanted to rank in. So Saratoga Springs, Clifton
03:04Park, Boston Spa, Glens Falls. So what I recommend is that, you know, let's pretend you are a,
03:10I don't know, uh, a personal injury attorney. You can maybe mention if you're in Boston,
03:15Massachusetts, you can say Boston, and then you can say things like Charlestown,
03:21Brighton, Brookline, Roxbury, JP, et cetera. So you can get really specific into all the
03:26towns and the boroughs around, uh, just simply Boston. You can write a small description,
03:31300 characters for each as a slight ranking factor. And I think that would be a pretty good
03:36first step. Next, what I do is I have a product listing carousel over here.
03:41I do this because it's visual. So I think it's good because it, um, makes my profile a little
03:46bit bigger. So I recommend that. Next, I talk about this on almost every video that I've done,
03:51but trustindex.io, that's my preferred ranking, uh, review platform because it brings in your
03:56reviews from Google business profile, but also Facebook, Yelp, Google play store, Apple play store,
04:01et cetera. Uh, it's very affordable. So I always recommend that you can see it's actually even
04:05featured here. I can click into it. It's usually always featured on Google and Bing. Whenever you
04:10search for a brand search for TM blast, you're going to always find, um, trustindex as well,
04:14which is great. Plus what I like about this is that it will show my business location. As you can
04:19see down here, HQ address has the map. And if I go back into my business profile, you can see
04:25reviews
04:25from the web. They mentioned trustindex as well. So this is really reviews are a ranking factor. Um,
04:32and the best part is that it's just going to bring in your reviews directly from Google.
04:34There's no additional work you need to do, but of course you want to diversify your reviews as
04:38much as possible. Okay. So last but not least updates on your profile are important. I've been
04:44slacking. I'll be frank. I haven't been updating my own profile mainly because I've been taking on
04:48different projects and I've been focused more on them. But, um, what I recommend to all my clients
04:53try to post at least once a week on your, uh, Google business profile and try to keep it fresh
05:00and
05:00active. It's a slight ranking factor, but if it improves the dwell time and engagement,
05:05those are ranking factors for, uh, for Google for sure. Okay. Let's go to the website and let's
05:10talk a little bit about, uh, what I do. So scroll all the way down here. I put in my
05:20address at the
05:20very bottom in the footer, have my phone number, email address, and then also my Google business
05:24profile. I have my social links in there, but the Google business profile is really important
05:30because it's going to be on every single page. It really creates that connection between my website
05:33and also, um, my, uh, my Google business profile. So it kind of, you know, says this is where the
05:39address is. Um, it is a, uh, it is a ranking factor. Okay. Next, what I think is important too,
05:46let me go up to the very top. I have a services section. So you see here there's dropdown. So
05:50I have
05:50Google ads management, Bing ads. I have, you know, local SEO with all these different niches I've
05:57worked with in the past. These are important to have. You really need to have a dedicated landing
06:01page for each of the services you want to provide. So I see there's a lot. Um, I haven't, I
06:06have, um,
06:06I have several clients, but what they'll do usually is that they'll put in a lot of things on their
06:10Google business profile, but without a dedicated landing page that really connects that Google's like
06:15looking at what you're providing and saying, I don't know exactly if you do provide this,
06:18because you don't mention that on your website. So having a dedicated landing page, that's clear
06:24about that particular service, uh, really will help you with your rankings because it creates
06:29that connection. Sorry, I'm losing my voice. All right. Last but not least, because I'm, as I said,
06:36I'm losing my voice. Reviews are a big ranking factor, but you can take it a step further by having
06:42a reviews page on your website. So what I do is I use trust index and I embed my widget
06:46directly onto
06:47my page. So when you go to, let's say, let's go to this over here, TM blast reviews, hit enter,
06:56you're going to get a Google AI overview that pops up. And this is actually taking information directly
07:01from trust index.io. And there's an AI summary and you can see I have my reviews page, but I
07:05also
07:06have a trust index page as well. I think that's really important because when people are, you know,
07:09potentially going to contact multiple companies for, let's say like a kitchen remodeling project
07:14or an attorney, they're going to do a followup, which is brand search plus reviews. I think having
07:19this gives more credibility. Uh, it helps with brand search, which I think is a ranking factor as
07:25well for Google business profile. And then if they see this and they visit your website again, I think
07:29it's that positive connection where Google is like, okay, they discovered us maybe from a non-brand
07:32search. Then they did a branded search. Then the branded search plus reviews. And then ultimately,
07:39um, they visit the website and you know, if you're using Chrome that could be tracked better. But
07:44the point though, is that I think all those kinds of factors play a really large role when it comes
07:49to your ranking. So let's go all the way back to, I think it's this tab, right? Yeah. Just the
07:55term
07:55SEO. So SEO can mean things like SEO company, SEO, you know, services near me, SEO, just et cetera.
08:02I can see this 80% of the time my business is on page one. It's how I get some
08:05reviews or sorry,
08:06how I get some leads for my local clientele out here, but for my business, I work with clients
08:13across the United States and sometimes even Canada too. So it doesn't really matter to me, but
08:18I demoed this off because again, if you are an HVAC client that hyper is hyper focused on a specific
08:23area, this is what you want your map to look like. You want to be able to flip more dots.
08:27So you get more impressions for your business and able to get more phone calls, more leads
08:31and more form fills. But anyway, I hope this video maybe sparked some ideas what you can do for your
08:36business. Let me know if you have any questions and as always have a good rest of your day.
