I like to use @localfalcon and #microsoftcopilot for #LocalSEOResearch for my clients. In this video, I share how I take a sample keyword "concrete driveway contractors near me", use the heat map results from the competitors, and then I upload them to Microsoft CoPilot for a quick AI review. From there, I have the AI review the dots that are not ranking as well and then sort by the population of those dots. Those are the dots I want to get my client in because the top competitors are not ranking there, and there is a good amount of population, which means more opportunity for leads

00:00Hey everyone, what's going on? Greg here again from Team Blast. So for one of my clients,
00:03I'm looking at their local Falcon heat map scan for the keyword concrete driveway contractors
00:07near me. So in this video, I'm going to really walk through just kind of a behind the scenes
00:11of how I think about flipping the dots for my clients to get them more impressions,
00:16website clicks, leads, and phone calls. So to start, I'm looking at the top competitor. They
00:20have a 27% share of local voice, which means these dots, there are dots one, two, and three. That
00:25means they're on page one of Google. Those are those green dots. That's where you want to be.
00:28I can keep clicking on every list over here. But one of the first things though that I like to do
00:32is actually I take a screenshot of this entire heat map scan and I put it actually into now
00:37Microsoft Copilot. I'm going to say, analyze this heat map and look for any dots that are yellow
00:48or orange. And I'm going to say after that, list off the towns and cities
00:58by population that are in those dots for me. So really what I'm trying to do here is say, okay,
01:06based on the heat map, it's actually really important for me to see what are the most valuable
01:11dots for me to actually flip for my client. So you can see now, again, so this list in here from
01:16local Falcon, this is just another competitor of ours, but I'm looking at this as the example.
01:21So, okay, if they are ranking 27% of the time out of these 122 dots in a 10 mile radius,
01:26what are the most important dots for me to really focus on? You can see them all over here on the
01:31left-hand side. So like National City, 60,000, La Mesa, 60,000, Santee, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley,
01:37Imperial Beach. Now this is all really important because basically I can do this now for all the
01:41top competitors. So this is just kind of the example of what I did. I took a screenshot of it
01:45and I uploaded it to Microsoft Copilot and asked a very specific question. You could do this with really
01:50any AI chat bot, but this is a great starting point because then hypothetically, let's just
01:55pretend this was my client over here. If I ran the scan and I clicked on their listing and said,
02:01okay, where are they ranking really well? They might be ranking in some areas that maybe the
02:05population size just isn't that large. So from a heat map scan within local Falcon, it might look
02:10good, but from the population size, we're actually really missing out. So I like to look at a few
02:13different competitors. I put them all into Copilot and try to get like a rough idea of,
02:18okay, like what are the dots that they are not ranking on as well? And then those are really
02:23actually where I'm going to focus on with my clients and say, okay, some of the top competitors
02:26are let's say position five or six. They're really not ranking in those areas. I'm going to look at
02:30then the top three that are there and say, okay, what can we do from either like a website perspective
02:35or a Google business profile perspective to maybe get more dots flip for my client? So some ways
02:40that I do this is maybe I use the website and I either create service area pages or I add a local
02:47schema markup directly onto the website to get really specific of this is the location. Plus I
02:52might write a description to say like, these are the areas that we service for the Google business
02:55profile. I might go into the service areas. You have up to 20 and I might actually then list off
03:00different areas that are more in those yellow and orange dots. Maybe it has like a soft signal to
03:05Google. I might even update my description, might do some updates, could do some products.
03:09There's a lot of things you can actually really do to kind of give Google a little bit more
03:12insight. Additional things though that I'm going to look at is when I make some changes for my client,
03:20whether it's on the website or Google business profile, I'm going to keep rerunning the scans
03:24within local Falcon and then upload that directly back into copilot then for my client. So really what
03:29I'm going to do over time is I'm going to actually have a saved log. So let's say on a weekly basis,
03:33I keep rerunning the scan. I'm going to actually have copilot really help me understand what dots are
03:38trying to flip a little bit. Let's say from position eight to position five, it's still not
03:42on page one, but so many directionally we're actually moving in the right area for potential
03:46wins for my client. And then I kind of do the same rinse and repeat of, okay, so maybe I need to add
03:51more content to the website. Maybe I should beef up the local schema markup because it seemed to
03:56actually really help. Maybe I can go into the Google business profile and post more updates by including
04:00those towns and cities as an update. Maybe my client can get reviews from those areas or uploads for
04:05photos, really whatever it is. But that's just kind of how I look at it from a client perspective.
04:10I run the heat map scan within local Falcon. I look at some of the top competitors. I throw them
04:15into copilot. I get a quick analysis of where they're actually not ranking. And that's really
04:20where I want to focus on for my client. So if I can be able to overtake those dots, that's going to be
04:25more impressions, more website clicks, more phone calls, and potential more leads for them,
04:29which is ultimately the goal of what we're trying to do. Anyway, thanks for watching this video.
04:34I hope maybe this sparks some ideas of what you guys can do for your business.
