00:00Some people feel that they need to spend a fortune with Rakuten in order to get a big fat check,

00:06but that's not the case.

00:08There are ways to earn money with this app, and I'm going to go over six different ways on how

00:13you get paid and make a little bit of extra cash for yourself.

00:17So what the heck is Rakuten?

00:21Well, it's an app that saves people money when they go shopping.

00:25It's kind of similar to the Honey app, I don't know if you've heard of that one.

00:28However, there's a big difference.

00:30The Honey app has some controversy around it because, well, allegedly, what happened is some of these big-name influencers

00:40were promoting the Honey app,

00:41and the Honey app would be stealing their commissions.

00:45So there's some lawsuits and legal issues.

00:48What happened was that Honey app, it actually got delisted from a lot of affiliate networks.

00:57And Mr. Beast was one of them, allegedly.

01:00There's still probably more going on about that, or I don't know.

01:03I actually tried to get into the Honey app a long time ago because if somebody just downloaded it, I

01:09would make, I think, like 50 cents.

01:11It's really cool.

01:12And then I just used the app to find discounts.

01:15But they didn't accept me.

01:16Luckily enough, I didn't get into it.

01:18But that's what it does, okay?

01:20But there are ways to make cash with Rakuten without buying products, and that's what I want to talk about.

01:26One way, one of the best ways, is by referring people to the platform.

01:32And if they spend $50 within 90 days, then by referring them, you get 50 bucks.

01:39That's not bad.

01:41That's a lot of money, $50, right?

01:43And also, there's a welcome bonus for them as well, and it may change, but at the time, it's $50

01:50within 90 days.

01:52They also get.

01:53So everybody wins, okay?

01:55And obviously, this is a time thing, so that $50 welcome bonus may change.

02:00It may drop or may increase or whatever.

02:02But it's really cool.

02:03And what's so cool about Rakuten, I think, is they take everybody as an affiliate.

02:10You could, like you, like you, you're brand new.

02:12You don't know anything.

02:13You go, well, let's just take you.

02:14And then you can actually make money.

02:15Some affiliate programs are very, very strict.

02:19And so it's all over the place, and some will take anybody.

02:22Like, there's a plugin called Rank Math, and I use it all the time for my WordPress sites.

02:29And I've been using it forever.

02:30I've been blogging forever.

02:32And I get traffic, and they still won't take me.

02:35So it's just the way it goes sometimes, all right?

02:38The second one, and this is like a nifty little strategy, is with gift cards, okay?

02:46So what happens is if you were a first someone, they have to, like, spend $50 within 90 days

02:52to trigger out these $50 bonus checks for everybody.

02:56Okay, yeah.

02:57And what they could do, and a great idea, is gift cards, is you can go on the app, and

03:03you can get a gift card for the amount they need to spend, and they also get a cash back

03:08reward.

03:09And it could change.

03:10There's some places like Raise or Gift Card, which could be like $15.

03:15At the time, I found one for 1% back, which is not that good, but, you know, whatever.

03:20And so what that means is they get the gift card, right?

03:24It triggers that bonus, and they also get the cash back as well.

03:27So they get paid, and they get the welcome bonus.

03:30And I hope that makes sense, because the gift card they're going to use is kind of similar

03:36to cash in some ways, to, like, Amazon or something like that.

03:42And another idea is free cash, and this is what I found.

03:46It's like a 5% cash back, and it's like an app where somebody does, like, games or test

03:52apps, does surveys, simple stuff.

03:55They get paid, and as soon as they earn $50, they get an extra $5 bonus, which is cash back.

04:02So I guess they have to do something.

04:04They can't just, like, download the app to get the cash back, right?

04:08They have to, like, hit the milestone, and that's how they get the welcome bonus, and

04:12that's how you get paid as well.

04:14So I hope that kind of makes sense a little bit.

04:16That's a nifty little strategy on how everybody can get paid with a Rakuten, okay?

04:22Another thing, but the magic with a Rakuten, a third way, is it stacks with other things,

04:29and that's what's so cool about this, is there's grocery receipts.

04:33I don't know if you've ever heard about this.

04:35I just heard about it myself.

04:36Like, I've only been doing it for, like, a month, and for one person, I think I've

04:40earned, like, $25 or something like that, and some of these apps are brand new.

04:45I just started using them.

04:47So it can really add up.

04:48What it basically means is you take in, after you go grocery shopping, you take a photo of

04:53your receipts, and they pay you, and it takes, like, two seconds, and it's not a lot,

04:59but, I mean, it adds up, you know, and everything helps nowadays, especially with the gas prices

05:05and stuff.

05:05So it's really cool.

05:07I think it's, like, the coolest thing in the world.

05:10So that's one of them, and there's actually 11 apps that I use, okay?

05:54Email, you know, I've been into, you know, trying to make money online, affiliate marketing

05:59for 15 years, and back in the day, it was all about building a list, and today, it's

06:04still about building a list, and the reason why, well, one reason is a lot of these list

06:10building softwares are, like, free.

06:13Back in the days, they were super expensive, so there's no excuse nowadays, almost.

06:17You should really build a list, because a lot of these platforms, they change all the

06:21time.

06:22They change their rules, they get strict, I mean, I have so many stories.

06:28Just recently, I posted to Medium.com, and I linked to these 11 apps that I use for grocery

06:35receipts I was so excited about, somehow, some AI flagged it, or some person flagged it,

06:40my whole account got deactivated, disconnected, just canceled.

06:46So, the only way to kind of protect yourself online, one is to build a list, too, because

06:53that, because you kind of own the traffic that way, that's kind of how it is.

06:57You have more control.

06:59One, and two, is to partner with lots of platforms and lots of brands, because brands change, too.

07:04There's a story about one affiliate marketer where he was heaving this one brand, and all

07:09of a sudden, they just, they kicked him out of it.

07:12He was like, oh, shit, my whole business is around this one brand, and now he has to go

07:16out there, and, you know, it really hurt his business.

07:21So, I hope that makes sense.

07:23I hope there's some lessons out there, and it's always going to be that way.

07:28I mean, I want to tell you just one more story.

07:30I went to this training class with this one girl who was, had a TikTok shop, and as she

07:37was doing the class, she was, like, on the edge of losing her entire shop because of violations.

07:43Yeah, you know, so it's just risky if you just do everything on one platform and just

07:49one thing that you promote or whatever.

07:51So, anyways, email list is the way to go, and I got a whole cheat sheet on how to do

07:56for free, you know?

07:57All the secrets that I spent, you know, lots of money and time figuring out, I'm giving

08:01it for free, right?

08:03Another cool thing is Rakuten has a browser extension as well, which helps you find discounts

08:09and deals, and there's also a thing called double cashback events.

08:16Basically, they're like events when somebody gets a shit ton of cash back on buying something.

08:21So, you know, you could find those deals, the big discounts, and you mention them, and if

08:29they use your referral link, then you get paid.

08:33So, that's another way, okay?

08:34So, basically, you refer people to the platform, that's how you get paid.

08:40Oh, and the last one is they have an influencer program as well, and if you have more of a

08:45presence online, okay?

08:47This allows you to earn commissions by promoting certain brands and products.

08:55So, now, to get accepted, you most likely need a website or maybe a YouTube channel or some

09:02type of, like, following or something like that online to get accepted.

09:07But the cool thing is, if you start off with a regular one, and if you refer 10 qualified

09:11referrals in a single quarter, they automatically promote you to influencer, and then, you know,

09:18you could, you have more ways of making money, okay?

09:21I hope that makes sense.

09:22And, yeah, I'll give you another example, like, too, like, another story, like, TikTok

09:27shop, right?

09:28There used to be a backdoor entrance where you could sign up, and they closed it.

09:33So, you need 1,000 followers to have a TikTok shop.

09:38So, there's all these, like, workarounds and stuff like that.

09:40They stop that workaround thing.

09:44Okay, so, another thing is, like I mentioned earlier, is grocery receipts, okay?

09:52And, yeah, I have a whole video about five apps that will take any receipt, and they take

09:58one second, like, no work.

10:00And if you, you know, it doesn't matter what receipt it is, I'll just take it and pay you
