00:01Imagine getting paid to help homeowners go green and you don't have to leave your home.
00:07There are a few jobs like this and today I just want to go over one, it's called a Solar
00:12Lead Qualifier job.
00:15What it is, the pay, how you get the job, what it entails, all that kind of information
00:20as well as a few other ways that you can actually help with climate change and get paid and
00:25do it from home.
00:26That's some cool stuff right?
00:29So what the heck is the Solar Lead Qualifier thing, right?
00:32Well what you're basically doing is you're contacting potential customers and hooking
00:38them up with a sales consultant to help them with their solar energy, okay?
00:44And I actually did a very similar job to this where right after COVID I hooked up with these
00:49accountants and I was contacting business owners and giving them a COVID tax credit and it was
00:56one of the best jobs I've ever done.
00:58Now the bad news is it's kind of repetitive because you're basically, to be honest with
01:03you, I just used the phone because it worked.
01:05So I basically called them.
01:06I cold called really.
01:09With this job you can actually do inbound calls as well as sometimes it's also cold calling.
01:15But what I did and the reason I liked it so much is it's like fishing, right?
01:19And I actually watched a lot of documentaries as I did because it was so repetitive.
01:22It's kind of boring.
01:23But then again, it's very entertaining.
01:25So people just, they just went nuts and if they get really nasty, it's even more entertaining.
01:31And obviously if you do any type of cold calling it soon, here's the trick, okay?
01:36For your own mental health, as soon as someone gets nasty, you know, you just laugh it off and
01:42you just hang up and be going with somebody else.
01:44But some of them, I mean, it was more entertaining than TV, you know, I mean, it's like, I loved
01:51it.
01:52I missed it, obviously.
01:53Plus, I get to help business owners.
01:55So this is, that's kind of like what you're doing, okay, is you're contacting them.
02:00You might be using software to take notes and the average pays around $18, $27 an hour,
02:08with commission though too, and it can go up.
02:10Bad news is, you know, sometimes evenings and weekends could be kind of in play.
02:14But that's easier to reach homeowners.
02:17This is more B2C rather than B2B, which is what I was doing.
02:21But yeah, I mean, definitely here's some pros, you can do it from home, so that's definitely
02:27cool.
02:28You can move up.
02:29You know, you don't need a college degree.
02:30You feel good because you improve the environment.
02:32But there's lots of rejection, okay?
02:34So you need a thick skin.
02:35And I'll give you another tip too, when it comes to any type of, I don't know if you call
02:40it sales.
02:41I don't call anything sales.
02:43But, all the work really is in the prospecting side.
02:48You're just, you're just sorting.
02:51That's the mindset.
02:52You're not convincing anybody of anything.
02:54You're just, you know, you let the script do all the work and you just, you know, highly
02:59recommend, if you can, you know, watch the documentaries while you do it because it's pretty, how should
03:04I say this, repetitive.
03:06But anyways, also, you know, when I did it, it wasn't very high pressure at all, but some
03:14companies could be high pressure, you know, quotas and stuff like that.
03:16It depends on the company.
03:17But, which is, leads me to, if you want to get into this gig, is you want to vet these
03:23companies.
03:24And there is a place that can actually does all the vetting for you and they remove all
03:28the scams.
03:29And they have a massive list of work from home jobs.
03:32So I would recommend, you know, going with that to save yourself a lot of time.
03:37And they actually can help you get the job as well, but I'll go over a couple things.
03:41The next step is, you want to know a little bit of basics about solar energy, it can help
03:45you.
03:46You know, you don't have to be an expert.
03:47They'll train you, but the more you know it, it can help.
03:49Like, kilowatt hours is the quantity, you know.
03:55Net metering, if you're not sure what that means, it's basically, you know, solar panels
03:59that create the most energy in the middle of the day, right, when some people are not
04:04home and net metering allows you to, that person to send the extra energy back to the
04:11power company so that meter goes backwards.
04:14Okay?
04:15I don't know if you say you get paid, but you get like a credit, if that makes sense.
04:21It goes backwards.
04:22That's the best way I can explain it.
04:24The tax credit, yeah, I mean, credit allows some homeowners to get a deduct 30% of the cost
04:31of their solar systems from their taxes.
04:35Okay?
04:36All right.
04:37So, the next step is, you want to get, do you have a place to do the interview, since
04:42it's going to be remote, like a quiet place, you know, good headphones and stuff like that.
04:48You want to tailor your resume.
04:50Okay?
04:51And, all right, here's the thing when it comes to resumes is, some companies, they're using
04:59software to filter things out, so you want to have, like, keywords in there, like lead
05:04qualifications, outbound, inbound dialing, renewable energy, to kind of get your foot
05:11in the door, because with some places, if you don't use those certain keywords, they'll
05:16filter it out, automatically out, right?
05:19Also, list some examples of, you know, maybe if you've done sales or if you've handled, like,
05:27a lot of high-volume calling with a positive attitude, you know, results speak.
05:32You know, if you had some good results, you can explain that in your resume.
05:36And, yeah, okay, all right, and, yeah, the interview, right?
05:43If you get your foot in the door and get an interview is, a couple tips is, I'll give you
05:50one tip, all right, if they ask you how to get past gatekeepers, because that was the toughest
05:54thing about me when I was contacting businesses through COVID, and probably the same thing
05:59with a lot of things as well, but what helped me, and this depends on the person, okay, for
06:04some reason, this worked, is they ask you, you know, what this is about, you know, and
06:08I just, my answer was, well, it's a little on the personal side, and for some reason, that
06:12just worked.
06:13They would go and get their boss, and that was, you know, these are restaurants, these are
06:17corporate businesses, small business owners, even mid-sized business owners, that worked.
06:24Now, obviously, if you call in the home, and the wife is saying that, you can't say it,
06:27this is personal, wait a minute, or if you're contacting the wife, and you're a guy, you
06:32know, you don't want to say that, and you're talking to the guy, I want to talk to your wife,
06:37you go on the personal side, that's not going to go over too well.
06:40So, it depends on the situation, obviously, you know, I guess I'm laughing about that,
06:49but for some reason, that just worked, it's like, almost every time, you know, all right,
06:53well, here you go.
06:56Another thing which worked for me was, this is very advanced, well, not too advanced,
07:02it's called a workaround, where if you're calling a company, and you go to one department,
07:08one guy is just like, all right, I didn't let you in, man, just, you know, he takes
07:11the job seriously, what you do is, you transfer to another department, and then you go talk
07:16to the boss, so you go around the person, boo, boo, boo, boo, and that's the way you do it,
07:21because some people, they just, you won't get through, no matter what you say, or what
07:24you do, that's what I mean, that probably makes the guy's whole day, like, oh, I can't
07:30wait to get, you know, I am the gatekeeper, don't always get past me, all right,
07:37anyways, so, obviously, you know, after you do the interview, you want to follow up, you
07:41know, you know, four to seven days, make a little nudge, blah, blah, blah, chill them
07:46off, and that's it, so that's one way to make money, you know, improving the environment,
07:50you can do it from home, and it's a great thing, another thing, which you may not have
07:55thought about, is affiliate marketing, this is what I really, really enjoy, and I'll give
08:00you a couple reasons why.
08:01One, it's so flexible, you can do it anywhere, at any time, okay, you can do it in nearly
08:09any niche, like solar energy, and that's a great niche, the green energy movement, going
08:15green, helping the environment, and it's a lot of fun, you can be very creative, there's
08:21lots of different business models you can do it with, and you can make some great cash,
08:25and improve the environment, and you can do it, you know, a little bit like an hour a day,
08:29or if you want to do it even longer, you can as well, and how you get paid is, with affiliate
08:35marketing, if somebody clicks on a link and buys something, you get paid, but there's
08:39a lot of other platforms out there, where they just fill out elite information, for, like,
08:46if they fill out something out for more information, you get paid, you don't have to sell anything,
08:51it's so cool, and there's a lot of ways to make money, and you can improve the environment,
08:55it, and it's very flexible, if you want to learn other ways of actually making money
09:01from home, and again, making money from home rocks, because you don't have to commute,
09:05you save money on gas, time, you open up more doors, because there's more possibilities
09:11out there, okay, plus time freedom, I'll give you, I'll put a link to a video on the screen
09:18here, and it gives you 10 steps to finding a really good work from home job, and I go over
09:22everything in detail, and I'll put the link in the description as well, and you can check
09:27it out, I hope that might be helpful to you, okay, anyways, you have a wonderful rest of
09:31your day, bye.
