00:09doesn't have to be a frustrating experience, but it easily can be, okay?
00:14And it was for me when I kind of first got started, so I kind of learned some, well, easier
00:20ways of doing it,
00:21and some insider tricks which I want to share with you, as well as some insider secrets on how to
00:26improve your opt-in page
00:27so that you can get more people subscribing to your list, and that's a good thing, okay?
00:33So the first step is you want to sign up to System.io, okay?
00:38And it's an amazing platform.
00:41I recently was with another free autoresponder list-building thing called Sender,
00:48and I switched over to System.io, and System.io is way better in so many ways, okay?
00:55It's a really cool system, and it's free, so why not?
00:58You can just create an account, start playing around with it, and let.
01:02Okay, so you might be wondering, what's the catch then if it's free, you know?
01:05Well, there's a catch.
01:06The catch is for your opt-in page, you have to put this stupid little sticker here, powered by System
01:11.io, and it's a link.
01:12It's an affiliate link, so you can actually get paid for it, but there's no way to remove the dang
01:16thing, and I've tried everything.
01:18I've tried having AI walk me through every little thing you can with codes for an hour, and there's no
01:23way to get that.
01:24The only way to get rid of this little sticker here is you have to, like, upgrade and pay, and
01:28actually created a whole little, like, plug-in thing
01:32that kind of explains what you get with the plans was free.
01:36You also get only one automation with a free plan, but you can do a lot with that, so you
01:42really don't need to upgrade,
01:43especially if you're not really making money.
01:46All right, so you want to get an account with System.io, and then what you want to do is
01:50you want to go up to here to the site part,
01:53and there's, like, a little sales funnel, and you click on that, and you want to click on Create right
02:02there.
02:02See, and you create that.
02:04That's the first step, okay?
02:07Now you'll be introduced to this menu, right, where there will be four options, okay?
02:13And you want to choose Build an Audience, Collect emails, and Build your list.
02:17You want to do that.
02:18You can name anything you want.
02:19You can change your currency to whatever you want.
02:21I'm in the U.S., so I chose it to the dollar.
02:24And then you'll have the, and then you could, you know, I named mine, like, one, two, and three or
02:29whatever,
02:29but you could name it whatever you want, okay?
02:33All right, now comes the challenging part of choosing a template, okay?
02:37And when you click on that, you can, you know, create a template, and then you get all these different
02:41templates.
02:42They could blow your mind away, and you can customize it.
02:45You can delete things.
02:46You can add things.
02:47You could, I recommend keeping it very, very simple.
02:50That's what I did, just my opt-in box, just a, you know, an email and a button, you know?
02:57And here's a little tip for you.
02:59The easier it is for people to subscribe, the better it's going to be, okay?
03:04If you get too much, like, roadblocks, like, if you have to put their name in there or an email
03:09and put a box confirming it,
03:11you'll have less people subscribing it.
03:13There's, like, resistance, okay?
03:15So you want to, that's why, with my opt-in box, I just have email and a button, and that's
03:22it.
03:22And another really cool tip, too, I'm just going to share with you, is for some reason, you could change
03:28it from subscribe to download.
03:30People don't want to subscribe to things.
03:32I actually learned this.
03:33I paid a lot of money to learn this, but, you know, downloading, it seems like they get something, right?
03:39It's like a benefit.
03:40Oh, I want to download it, right?
03:41For some reason, it works.
03:42I don't know.
03:43People don't want to subscribe.
03:45So you could change that to download.
03:47With an email, you'll get more conversions, okay?
03:50So that's what you do.
03:52Now, I'll give you another really cool tip here, in case you don't want to sit there and, like, delete
03:57everything on a template.
03:58You want just a blank template.
04:00What you do is you go on to your steps here, right?
04:04So you click on one, and you see these steps?
04:07You click Add Step.
04:10And what you want, and this is a little trick here, which I don't know how I figured it out,
04:14but you want the inline form, okay?
04:16You don't want an opt-in form, the inline form, right?
04:19So if you close this, choose Type.
04:22You want the inline form, right?
04:26And you want to start from scratch, if you want a blank one, so if you want to delete a
04:32bunch of stuff, okay?
04:34For some reason, that inline form, it's just much easier to embed in a WordPress blog or website because it
04:41has a script.
04:42The opt-in form, it's a little bit more complicated, I found, okay?
04:47So now if you create that, it'll be blank.
04:50And then what you want to do is you want to go on the very left, there's a menu, and
04:54you put Form Input, okay?
04:58And that will be the email, right?
05:00And you can name it email.
05:01That's where someone puts their email address, right?
05:03But there's no button.
05:05So you have to go and you have to add the button, which is right next to it.
05:09You add the button, and that's what I did.
05:12And I kind of changed mine a little bit, kind of tweaked with it.
05:16And, you know, what I did was I made it longer, and I got rid of the subheading, and I
05:23just put Download.
05:24So it's very, very simple, okay?
05:27And, yeah, it looks like this, right?
05:31Very simple.
05:33So you created your opt-in page.
05:35It was that simple.
05:35And, of course, you can add more.
05:37You can add, you know, like a picture, a video.
05:40A video is what I recommend if you can, or, you know, a picture.
05:43You can add more text.
05:44You know, you could do that as well.
05:47So you might be wondering, okay, well, I got this opt-in box.
05:49Well, how do I stick it on the WordPress blog or a website?
05:53Well, that's actually really, really easy.
05:56Because right here, there's a set of scripts, okay, in the inline form.
06:00Okay, if you click that button, all you do is you copy this, and then you go to your WordPress
06:05blog, and you kind of go down, and then you hit the little button here, and these little boxes come
06:12up.
06:12There's one that says Custom HTML, right?
06:14So if you hit the Custom HTML, all you do is you copy this, and then you paste it into
06:21the Custom HTML, and that's it.
06:26And if you preview it, after it thinks a little while, it will be this opt-in box, and that's
06:33it, okay?
