00:00Is it even possible to use Rakuten for groceries?
00:04Today I want to share with you why one of these apps is really the king of grocery shopping.
00:10And the other one is really just an online shopping sidekick that can help.
00:17So, from my experience, Ibota is really the winner when it comes to grocery shopping.
00:22It really is.
00:23And Rakuten really helps you find deals when you shop online.
00:31So, and they can both add up.
00:33I mean, as you can see from this calculator here, you can make some decent money with these apps.
00:40So, I've been using Ibota for about a month, like half seriously.
00:45Half.
00:46And what my strategy is, I just kind of do my normal grocery shopping.
00:50Then I come home and with Ibota, I open the app and I scan each item to see if I
00:56get cash back.
00:57It's like finding treasure.
00:59It's kind of fun, actually.
01:00It makes me feel, oh, wow, I found like a dollar or two.
01:04That's what I do.
01:05And they also have a place where it's like any item where you can list like any bread you get
01:10money for.
01:11And they have any receipts as well.
01:13So, you get paid for just any receipt.
01:17And there are other ways to use the app and there's better strategies.
01:21There's a whole section where you can like buy one, get one free.
01:25Sometimes they even have full cash back on items as well where you get the item for free.
01:32And that does happen at times.
01:34Okay?
01:37Now, the problem, well, what happened with my experience with Ibota as well as Rakuten is I used them both
01:51a long time ago and I just forgot about it.
01:53And they both have dormant fees.
01:57So, if you don't use both apps for a period of time, excuse me, I'm getting over the sickness here.
02:12They charge you fees.
02:13They charge you money.
02:14Okay?
02:15And, yeah, it sucks.
02:18I wrote all the details in this post here.
02:21It's like $2 to $5 a month for Rakuten after like 12 consecutive months of inactivity.
02:29And Ibota, it's the same thing.
02:31I got hit with a dormant fee of 75 cents.
02:34I just don't remember using the app.
02:36It was like in 2019 I've had it.
02:39So, the dormant fees trigger if you don't use it or in a certain amount of period.
02:45And just logging in doesn't make the account active.
02:48You have to scan a receipt.
02:50Okay?
02:51So, I have all the details here so you can avoid that.
02:57So, Ibota is kind of like a rebate style app that kind of requires some hands-on.
03:03There's a little bit of a learning curve to it.
03:06And Rakuten is just a website or web browser that kind of, you shop how you normally do.
03:11You just find deals.
03:12It just pops up.
03:13Both kind of cool.
03:15To be honest with you, I did install Rakuten.
03:18And it was just kind of annoying because it kept popping up.
03:21So, I would just go over there and hide it.
03:24And I guess I've got to figure out a way to do this and shut it up because it keeps
03:28like popping up now and then.
03:31And that's like a learning curve that I need to figure out how to learn or something like that.
03:34So, honestly, I deactivated the thing because it just kept annoying me.
03:39But maybe there's a way to use it so it doesn't constantly pop up.
03:43And that would be kind of cool.
03:44Because I do hear that it's the best way to find deals is shopping online.
03:49It's better than the Honey app, which I also used to use.
03:54But the problem with the Honey app is it got in some trouble because it would steal commissions from affiliates.
04:00They would actually promote it like Mr. Beast.
04:03There's a whole story.
04:06And that's why it's been deactivated from a lot of affiliate sites.
04:10Okay.
04:11All right.
04:13Oh, another thing, too, with the Rakuten is they only pay out four times a year.
04:18While Ebota pays out as soon as you hit $20 in your account.
04:22They send you money to your PayPal account or whatever.
04:26So, that's pretty cool.
04:27And with the Rakuten, you need at least $5.01 to get paid.
04:33So, that's how they both kind of work.
04:36Ebota is better for grocery shopping.
04:38And Rakuten is better for online sales.
04:41Now, I will say Rakuten has a really, really cool referral program where you actually make $50 if you refer
04:51someone.
04:52And that person spends $50 within 90 days.
04:55They also get $50.
04:57So, it's really, really cool.
05:01And the best part is they take everyone.
05:03Okay.
05:04They're not picky like some affiliate programs out there.
05:08And another really cool strategy, and I'm putting this on my post here, is they have gift cards.
05:15And sometimes, obviously, some of these offers change.
05:19But you can refer someone.
05:22They get a gift card.
05:25They get a bonus welcome check of $50 plus cash back for the gift card that they're going to use.
05:32And then you get $50.
05:34So, it's a really, I think that's really, really awesome.
05:37I've got to continue with myself.
05:39And again, they take everybody.
05:41So, they're not piggy.
05:43Excuse me.
05:45All right.
05:47So, that's how they both kind of like differently.
05:50And before I forget, if you've gotten some value so far, then please consider hitting the like button or the
05:55subscribe button because it helps me.
05:57And what's really cool about, especially Ebota, is it can stack with other programs and apps.
06:05So, you can make even more money.
06:07Okay.
06:08And I have a whole detailed strategy on how to do that, as well as all the apps I use.
06:13And all these links have bonus points for yourself for using them.
06:17And I'll put the link to this whole resource down below and the first comment to help you.
06:24And if you want to know more about Ebota, because there are other ways to do better with the app.
06:29I have made a whole video on secret strategies with Ebota, better ways to use it if you want to
06:34do that.
06:34And I'll put that video up here as well as down in the description as well.
06:38You can check it out.
06:39So, I hope this might have been at least a little bit helpful to you.
06:41And, anyways, you have a wonderful and blessed rest of your day.
06:45Bye.
