00:00There's nothing worse than looking at your ad dashboard and seeing that you spent hundreds of dollars of clicks and
00:08ad revenue,
00:09but you're not getting any sales, no revenue, and that's a crappy feeling.
00:13So let's talk about fixing that.
00:15Now, for starters, this is a picture I took.
00:17I was actually in Monte Carlo.
00:19It's like this little tiny country between Italy and France.
00:22I think it's like a tax haven, and I think it's a Lamborghini.
00:26I don't know, it was some nice-looking car on the docks, and it had these big old ships with,
00:31like, yachts.
00:32One had a helicopter on it, and it's actually kind of funny because I was walking around the yachts,
00:37and I was singing that song Rockstar by Nigglestar, you know, Niggleback, you know, to all the people working.
00:44I had a pretty good time, though.
00:45It was a while ago.
00:47But anyways, let's talk about, you know, why even look at paid ads, paid traffic.
00:52Well, there's a lot of benefits, and there's some disadvantages, too.
00:54And my experience is I've experimented with a lot of paid ads and free ads, and I've burned myself with
01:00paid ads, too.
01:01So the main thing is you want to test the waters before you jump in.
01:05And if you're losing money, you need to stop it, you know, and that's important.
01:10We don't like to admit we made mistakes, but we have to do that sometimes.
01:13But the coolest thing about paid traffic is it's another source of traffic to your business.
01:20And I think that's very important.
01:22When it comes to traffic, I'm all of the above, okay?
01:25They all work.
01:26Some are better than others.
01:27But what you don't want to do is rely on just one traffic source.
01:31Like, I'll give you an example.
01:33If your whole business is based on TikTok and TikTok changes something, then it sucks.
01:40By having multiple traffic sources, then it's kind of like going on a road.
01:44You could handle the bumps easily and stuff.
01:50In fact, I've had the experience going to a class on a TikTok shop, and the lady was teaching the
01:56shop.
01:57She was about to lose her whole TikTok shop due to violations.
01:59So, it's good to diversify a little bit with traffic, okay?
02:04And there's so many other benefits, too, like speed.
02:07You know, you can get started right now, and you could, you know, test it.
02:13By some traffic things, it takes a long time to see results.
02:17You can see results right now with paid traffic.
02:20Two, it's more of a turnkey system, because if you know something that's working, you can easily just scale it.
02:27But, like a TikTok video, sometimes it's just luck, right?
02:32So, there's a lot of benefits, so it's definitely worth checking out.
02:35And before I forget, AI has really changed the game, especially with paid ads.
02:42I even heard someplace, I'm not sure this is true, but the only way that AI is actually kind of
02:46making money,
02:47well, not the only way, but the main one, is through paid ads.
02:51So, it can help you so much with paid ads.
02:53Okay, so the problem with paid ads is how confusing it is.
02:59I mean, there's split testing.
03:02How do you know about the titles and the copy, and what platforms do you use, right?
03:08You know, how do you know if it's working?
03:09How do you know if it's not working?
03:11So, there's so many questions, it's very hard to just experiment with.
03:16And there's actually some software out there that does all this for you, so it makes jumping into paid ads
03:24as easier and quicker and just painless than it's never been before.
03:29Because, you know, it writes the headlines in the sales copy for you.
03:34It does all the split testing, all that boring stuff that you don't have to want to deal with.
03:39It does everything, even monitors it 24-7.
03:43If it's not working, then it stops it, and even will scale a little bit if it is working.
03:49And so, this is some amazing stuff, and I think it's really cool.
03:52So, that's use AI, right?
03:54Number two is some platforms work better than others, which is why you want to use, you want to test
04:01all those platforms.
04:03And, again, this software here has one dashboard, so it's very simple, and you can test an ad on all
04:10eight of the major platforms out there.
04:12So, it's super simple to do, and you can see how simple is amazing in this overcomplicated world, right?
04:19Okay.
04:20The next one is building a landing page, collecting emails.
04:26You might be wondering, well, how does that increase conversions?
04:28Well, the magic with email is sometimes somebody has to look at something multiple times before they pull the trigger,
04:35and with email, you could do that.
04:38So, it can highly, highly increase your conversion rate, and I know from experience.
04:43So, say you double your conversion rate, right, which you could definitely do with email.
04:48This means for every ad dollar you spent, you doubled your return, okay?
04:53Plus, you could market multiple offers on there, and thus, you know, increase your return even more, okay?
05:03All right, next up is a tripwire.
05:05Look at this video of the cat.
05:06He's cute.
05:08No, it's not like a defense booby trap, okay?
05:11What a tripwire is, is somebody, as soon as somebody signs up to your landing page, you create an offer
05:18which is very high value, but it costs a very low amount of money.
05:25And what it does is it turns somebody into, like a, you know, just a looky-loo or maybe just,
05:31you know, a freebie seeker into a buyer as quickly as possible and as easily as possible.
05:38It's a huge psychological shift.
05:39It's kind of like the first time you go, like a guy goes to kiss a girl, there might be
05:44resistance, but if that guy has kissed that girl one time, then the next time is going to be easier,
05:50right?
05:50Because the resistance, the barrier has been broken on me.
05:55That's where my mind goes, okay, guys?
05:58It's the kind of same thing, you know, in sales.
06:02So your goal is to convert, and a tripwire will do this as easily as possible, okay?
06:07That's what it's designed to do.
06:11And now the cool thing is you might be wondering, well, I've got to, like, create some product for that.
06:17No, you don't.
06:18They actually have something called PLR, private label rights.
06:21It's where you own the product.
06:22You can do whatever you want with it.
06:24You can charge whatever you want with it.
06:25You can bundle it.
06:26And you can do it as a perfect tripwire that you can give away.
06:31And it doesn't take that much effort.
06:32And what's so cool about this PLR stuff is you can use it for so many things, like with bonuses
06:39to help convert, right?
06:40You can use it for your landing page.
06:42You can use it for traffic.
06:43You can even use it on, like, YouTube, where the first person who gives a comment gets this PLR thing.
06:49So there's so many uses for it as well, okay?

07:03All right, the next thing – my throat's dying.
07:11The biggest mistake that somebody can make with paid ads, and I've done this, is you're focusing on cheap clicks
07:16instead of what you really, really want, and that is to get paid.
07:21Conversions.
07:21It all comes down to conversions.
07:22Everything else doesn't fucking matter, okay?
07:26Excuse my French.
07:27There's no vanity metrics.
07:29It doesn't matter about likes and views and, you know, I just ask for a like, right?
07:34But in the online world, it's very easy to get sucked into that.
07:38You know, some people do that.
07:39I've been down that road.
07:42But the purpose of prospecting is to sort, okay?
07:48So you want to filter your traffic on the front end, and that's one way that you can kind of
07:54lower the cost, okay?
07:55There's an application form that somebody can fill us out.
07:59And what's interesting about this application form is that it can actually help train the ad algorithms to give you
08:09better high-quality traffic, if that makes sense.
08:12Because you could put the pixel at the end of, like, the application, and when someone makes it through, it
08:18will train those ad algorithms to do better.
08:24Because if it's just a single opt-in form, then it will just say, oh, that works.
08:29So it will just send you more traffic.
08:32I hope that makes sense.
08:34But that's one way.
08:36Another thing, too, is everything has to match.
08:41You know, I learned this from an Udemy class.
08:44But your landing page has to match your ads.
08:47They call it, you know, see the vanilla ice cream.
08:49You get the vanilla ice cream.
08:50You call it whatever you want.
08:53So, because if something's off, the brain will go, something's off, and then there's friction.
08:58It's kind of like, what you don't want to do is have an ad for vanilla ice cream, and the
09:02landing page will have, like, sprinkles, you know, some hot fudge, you know, a cherry.
09:07Because maybe that person doesn't want sprinkles, right?
09:10So, maybe that person's allergic to bananas.
09:14Now your landing page has a banana.
09:15I didn't want that.
09:17So everything has to match.
09:18And that helps with conversions, okay?
09:21Yeah.
09:22Speed is super important.
09:24Like, very important.
09:25If it takes long, then people are just going to bounce.
09:28I mean, thank you, TikTok, right?
09:30TikTok made it so everybody has no attention spans.
09:34And, yeah, and another thing, you could use words to filter out people that are not interested, like free, cheap,
09:43course download, template, discount.
09:46Kind of reminds me of the saying, how do you find a needle in a haystack?
09:49You burn the haystack, right?
09:51And, you know, using those words to filter them out is burning the haystack, okay?
09:57And another thing, too, is retargeting is a really, really cool thing.
10:03And if you're not sure what the heck that even means, it's kind of like, well, have you ever seen,
10:06like, been shopping for something?
10:08Like, I don't know, maybe a bike?
10:10Just throwing it out there.
10:11And you're like, oh, that's a cool little bike.
10:13You know, but I'm not going to pull the trigger.
10:15So maybe it's on Amazon, right?
10:17And you start looking at other things, like cat videos and, you know, cats, other cats in boxes, like I
10:23just put foot.
10:25And, you know, all of a sudden you'll see an ad for the bike.
10:27I'm like, wait a minute.
10:27What the hell is going on?
10:28That bike's following me around.
10:30That's retargeting.
10:32And it's very, very powerful because they're more warmer, you know?
10:38It's like somebody's already expressed interest in that, and then you can retarget them, and, you know, you can do
10:46things to help close the deal, like, you know, case studies, video testimonials, FAQs.
10:51So it's a – they're easier to close than the super cold person who doesn't know any – doesn't know
10:59who you are because they've already seen, you know, seen your landing page, and maybe they didn't sign up, right?
11:05And they went and looked at some cat videos.
11:07You can just send them a little ad and be like, hey, you know, I know you checked out his
11:11landing page, but, you know, do some – you know, and you can help close the deal that way.
11:16I hope that makes sense.
