00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning which will be a fine day for
00:04most again with sunny spells.
00:06However, we had a very strong wind yesterday, gusty as well over the hills, the mountains, England and Wales as
00:13well as the coastline.
00:14Into Thursday we lose the sting in the wind very slowly as this weather system gradually extends across the western
00:20side of the UK, bringing with it some showers.
00:23Elsewhere we'll see fine weather to end the day.
00:26Into this morning then, here's that low cloud just surrounding the east coast.
00:31Any mist and fog though, breaking up and burning away as that cloud just drifts towards Shetland.
00:36Elsewhere, sunny spells through the morning into the afternoon but notice a few showers developing around this cold front here
00:43for the far south west,
00:44clipping Cornwall, South Devon as well as Pembrokeshire.
00:47And later on in the day, as that rain blossoms and pushes across the Republic of Ireland,
00:52and eventually you'll see some across Northern Ireland towards evening time.
00:56Elsewhere, it's a dry end to the day.
00:58We're seeing temperatures higher than the last few days in Shelter, feeling warm.
01:0321 Celsius for western Scotland, northwest England, eastern parts of Wales, the Midlands, 22 Celsius.
01:09And even along this eastern side here, reaching around 15 to 17, so a degree or so higher than the
01:14last day or so.
01:16Into this evening and overnight, the progress of this showery rain continues across Northern Ireland.
01:22So some wet weather here just coming and going, it's fairly sporadic.
01:25At the same time, some patchy rain just clips the Outer Hebrides and slowly drifts towards Shetland as well as
01:31Orkney.
01:32A few showers trailing behind as well for the west country as well as Wales.
01:36Inland, under starry skies, we'll see temperatures tipping down to single figures.
01:40So a bit of a chilly start to Friday across some parts.
01:44So through Friday, we watch as these showers continue to develop across the far west.
01:49Elsewhere, it's a fine day with sunny spells.
01:52Hazy sunshine across the northwest as the rain clears the far north.
01:56These showers, though, later on in the day could actually turn a little heavier.
02:01Increasingly through evening time, there is a chance of thunder.
02:04You can see them developing across Wales, the west country, the Isle of Man, western parts of Scotland through the
02:08afternoon as well as Northern Ireland.
02:11Elsewhere, some fine weather to end the day and look at these temperatures.
02:14So much warmer along the eastern side of England as well as Scotland.
02:18The high teens, if not the low 20s.
02:20And we could see 24 for the Midlands.
02:2219 or 20 across western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland.
02:26And we could see a 26 down towards the home counties.
02:28Further west, with the risk of those showers, probably 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
02:34So that's the picture through Friday afternoon.
02:37Some fine weather to end the day.
02:38This weather system remains with us.
02:40So an increasing chance of some showers just migrating northwards, the risk of thunder as well.
02:45Then the air turns fresher from the north on Saturday as we lose the showery rain.
02:50But further showers into Sunday morning extend from the south.
02:53On Sunday, we'll see a lighter breeze towards the northwest where there will be some fine weather.
02:57But always the chance of rain or showers across more central and southern areas of the country.
03:01So here's your outlook into the weekend.
