00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this frosty Friday morning, which will be fine for many
00:06with some sunshine coming through.
00:09A ridge of high pressure, although the air is cold away from the far south of England, even here we'll
00:14see a coolness to the air as we head through the day.
00:18And then towards the west, this is an area of cloud and rain arriving across Northern Ireland, eventually through evening
00:23time Western Scotland as the winds pick up some strength.
00:26More about that in a moment. For the time being though, expect some showers across the far north of Scotland,
00:31one or two further west inland across Scotland.
00:33It's a fine morning with a frost.
00:35More on the way of clouds for Northern Ireland. Northern England seeing some hazy sunshine, the cloud could be thicker
00:41further south and west, but it will break up through the morning.
00:44However, rain has already arrived across the Republic of Ireland and it will extend across Northern Ireland as we head
00:50through late morning and into lunchtime.
00:53Elsewhere, any showers tending to fade away. Again, some sunshine coming through across Scotland, as well as England, East Wales
01:00not doing too badly before we see a little rain clipping Irish seacoast through the afternoon.
01:07By this time, the rain would have arrived across Northern Ireland as the winds pick up some strength. Initially, it
01:12will be fairly patchy, but it will intensify later.
01:14The winds will then pick up across Western Scotland and the North Channel as you see filaments of rain extend
01:20towards the Severn Estuary.
01:22Elsewhere, it's a fine end to Friday with some sunshine. Temperatures struggling though, only 9, 10, 11 degrees Celsius, perhaps
01:27a 13 for the East Midlands.
01:29Through Friday evening, this is when the weather will really ramp up across Western Scotland.
01:34So we'll see that rain intensify Northern Ireland, Western Scotland and then those winds picking up to gale force across
01:40the northwestern quadrant of the country.
01:43Elsewhere across England and Wales, you'll see some rain into the early hours of Saturday morning as that rain extends
01:50across Eastern Scotland with showers to follow.
01:53Hanging on to dry weather to start the day across the Midlands, Eastern counties of England.
01:57Temperatures here, 7, 8 degrees Celsius and again, even with a little sunshine in places and you won't see a
02:03lot of rain.
02:04It's weakening all the while across more southern areas as it stalls across the northeast of Scotland, extending towards Shetland
02:11through the morning.
02:12So through the morning, we watch as further showers move in across Western Scotland, another rash across Irish seacoast, across
02:18Wales, northwest England.
02:20And they'll push in across Scotland as the rain clears through the afternoon.
02:24By this point, we'll see some brighter skies across eastern counties.
02:28Showers never too far away.
02:29They'll be fairly scattered.
02:31And then that wet and windy weather continues across Orkney as well as Shetland as it clears eastern parts of
02:37Scotland.
02:38The low pressure sits towards the northwest of the country, hence the reason why the winds will remain strong and
02:43blustery and feeling fresh in that wind as well.
02:46Temperatures 11, 12, 13 degrees Celsius with showers just coming and going.
02:51So that's the picture on Saturday.
02:54That rain clears off the scene.
02:56Showers will cluster together across more northern and western areas as we head through Saturday evening and overnight because low
03:03pressure remains pretty much dominant across many parts.
03:07So as we head through Saturday evening, you can see here that's the low pressure.
03:11It's not moving very far, very fast.
03:12Blustery into Sunday again.
03:14Showers will come and go, extending across the country.
03:18And then into Monday, well, that low pressure drifts northward towards Iceland.
03:23We'll see a little ridge come in from the southwest.
03:25So some quieter weather.
03:27Still a few showers in the mix, but certainly a lighter breeze and the chance of some brighter breaks.
03:31Go through to the inevitably boards.
03:32Big feared skies.
03:32High私.
03:32High.
03:32High.
03:33sea. Hills.
