00:00Hello there, good morning.
00:02Temperatures are on the up.
00:03Many areas this week will push into the low 20s degrees Celsius, but of course it's been
00:07rather cold and cloudy across many eastern areas, so if you're looking for something
00:11a little bit warmer here, well, I might have some good news for you.
00:14For the time being, though, it's quite a chilly start out there, some patchy frost in places
00:18and pretty windy across parts of the southwest as well, around coasts and hills.
00:23We could potentially see gust speeds of around 50 to 60 miles per hour, so do take care if
00:29you're travelling around, particularly across Devon and Cornwall.
00:31Some low cloud around to start as well, this eventually drifting back to North Sea coasts,
00:35and it could linger through much of the day across the far north and northeast Scotland,
00:39perhaps some patchy cloud once again around any North Sea coasts, and eventually we'll
00:43see a build of higher cloud into the afternoons, that might just create some hazier spells of
00:48sunshine across Northern Ireland, southern parts of Wales and southwest England, and possibly
00:52just thick enough by the end of the day to produce some very light rain for parts of Cornwall.
00:56But otherwise, another dry, bright day, plenty of sunshine, and temperatures are on the up,
01:01particularly across central and southern England.
01:03We could see highs of around 18 degrees Celsius, but notice still across many eastern areas,
01:08temperatures are still going to be below average for the time of year.
01:11Still quite a keen easterly wind out there, which is just going to take the edge off the temperatures.
01:17But for many areas, it will feel warm in the sunshine, turning quite chilly as soon as the sun goes
01:21down,
01:22remaining mostly dry, still a fair bit of cloud across parts of the west, mostly high cloud.
01:26We'll eventually see a return of some low cloud just starting to push in from the North Sea by the
01:31time we reach the morning.
01:32It might just bring a little bit of hill fog in places, but otherwise dry, plenty of clear skies.
01:37So another chilly night on offer, patchy frost still in western sheltered spots, mostly across rural areas,
01:43and many towns and cities dropping to the low to mid single figures.
01:48So it's another chilly start to come on Thursday.
01:50Any low cloud once again eventually burning back to coasts through the course of the morning.
01:55A very slight change in wind direction means actually we'll see a lot of that cloud drift away through the
01:59course of the morning.
02:00But that's still a quite keen easterly breeze out there, particularly across any southern coastal counties,
02:05which will once again just take the edge off the temperatures, but actually warming up a little bit more across
02:10parts of the east.
02:11Some slight increase in temperatures here, but it's really across central and southern areas where we start to see that
02:16warm sunshine
02:17and temperatures pushing into the low 20s.
02:20Now, although temperatures will still struggle for the next couple of days over eastern coast,
02:24we do eventually start to see a change.
02:26Here's an area of high pressure originally situated slightly further north, giving us a more easterly flow,
02:31but actually shift southward slightly towards the end of the week.
02:35So we'll see another slight change in wind direction.
02:37Also, as pressure builds, we'll see less clouds.
02:40So even across eastern areas, it will warm up by the time we reach the end of the week.
02:43Most places in the high teens, low 20s and plenty of sunshine to go alongside that.
02:48But of course, for more updates on that, don't forget you can subscribe to our YouTube channel.
02:52Bye bye.
