00:00Hello there, good morning and of course, happy Halloween. Now, there's nothing too spooky
00:05in today's forecast, though we are expecting later some quite heavy showers. At first,
00:09a dry, bright and quite a mild start to the day. Eventually, though, we'll see some thicker
00:13areas of cloud push up from the south and south-west. Some heavy showers associated
00:18with these, particularly across Wales, parts of south-west England, a good chance we could
00:22see some hail and thunder associated with those. Also, some quite blustery winds for
00:26a time. We've got this band of showers that will scoot its way eastwards, at times still
00:30across Scotland, northern parts of England. These could bring some heavy blustery downpours.
00:35Well, once that area of rain clears away, particularly across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, into
00:39the afternoon, it should be mostly dry and bright, though it is still going to remain very blustery.
00:45Although in any sheltered spots, we're still going to see temperatures of around 16 to 17
00:49degrees, so in that shelter, the sunshine is still quite warm at this time of the year,
00:53though feeling pleasant where we do see any of those brighter spells.
00:57Now, of course, it is Halloween, so if you're out trick-or-treating in the evening, there
01:02will be some dry, clear skies around, though we can't rule out some showers and some of
01:06these still could be quite heavy and blustery. But for a time, quite a lot of dry weather,
01:11particularly early evening. It's then later as we progress through into the night, we'll
01:15see the secondary band of heavy rain start to push into Wales, the south-west moving its
01:20way north-eastwards. This too could bring us some quite heavy and intense downpours and
01:25still remaining, the wind still remaining quite blustery too, so turning more unsettled later
01:30on into the evening and as we progress into the weekend. Quite a lot of cloud around, still
01:35quite windy, so that's going to keep temperatures up. So another fairly mild start to Saturday,
01:40though it is going to be unsettled. Quite a few outbreaks of rain across Scotland, northern
01:44parts of England. This will shift away into the North Sea, allowing some brighter spells,
01:49but still plenty of showers following on behind. And amongst those showers, once again though,
01:54there will be plenty of bright and sunny spells, but it is still going to be another windy day.
01:59Temperatures not quite as high as Friday, but still 14 to 15 degrees Celsius across the south-east,
02:04around 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in the north. Now for the rest of the weekend, low pressure is
02:11still very much dominating, often sat to the north or north-west, still bringing us some quite intense
02:17showers in from the west and still quite blustery at times. Then it's all eyes on this next area of
02:23low pressure, later Sunday through into Monday. This will eventually become ex-Hurricane Melissa,
02:28so a chance we could see further spells of wet and windy weather next week. That's it from me, bye-bye.
