00:00Hello, welcome to the CV's Flight Channel.
00:06And make no mistake, Ken Roxen believes that he can win this championship, win these races,
00:12and he's been proven in the last couple of weekends. Let's see if you can do it three in a
00:14row, like you said.
00:1512 after 12 rounds of the Monster NGA MA Supercross Championship, the 450, the Premier Class,
00:21has never been closer at the top in the history of this sport. Let's hear Roxen's thoughts on that.
00:30Yeah, we're definitely trying not to look at the points. I've been riding really well,
00:33so I want to keep doing exactly as I have been and just stay in my comfort zone.
00:37I don't want to let anybody or anything get me unraveled, so I have the same mindset going into this
00:44weekend
00:44as hopefully I will have down the stretch going to Salt Lake.
00:51Even when things tighten up, I know everybody loves to talk about it, and it is very exciting, even for
00:55me.
00:55So I'm truly enjoying the high-pressure situation, because even a few races ago, like I just said,
01:03when you're 31 points down, you have just as much pressure, because if you want to make something off this
01:07championship,
01:08you can't lose any more. So the pressure is there either way, and I feel like I've done a good
01:12job for me personally
01:13to keep everything at bay and just do the best that I can, because then I can leave Saturday night
01:16knowing that I left nothing on the table, and whatever the result is, is what it is.
01:21Last week, you may have noticed they put the black rims on his Suzuki.
01:25Somebody in the team said, or maybe it was Ken said, hey, that looks like a Hot Wheels car.
01:29So Ken got this on the back of his helmet for this weekend.
01:33He loves that spirit. The team's in a great mood. He's in a great headspace.
01:37It's game on.
01:39It's go time. He's going to have to wipe out that heat race performance.
01:42This is the time you talk about championship, and what do you have to do, and the mental resiliency.
01:48Forget about what happened. Go back to where you have been the last three weeks and carry on.
01:54Yeah, I think he will, too. I think that heat race, he understands what happened.
01:58Maybe he's just going in, but make no mistakes.
02:00Ken Rockson, just like these other ones, are here to play today.
02:04Eli Tomac has won here in Nashville before.
02:07For him to get a fifth win on the season, that would do wonders for his championship chances.
02:13What's Lawrence got? What's Roxen got?
02:164.50 main in Nashville. Let's go!
02:20Joey Savace with a brilliant start.
02:23Justin Hill on the outside.
02:25Hunter Lawrence got a little sideways.
02:26Prado gets through.
02:28But it's Justin Hill who leads the way.
02:30Look at Kenny. You talk, listen to James have that explosiveness.
02:35I thought he was going to blitz through those woods, but what a move by Ken Rockson.
02:40He was buried off that start.
02:43This is what he needed. This is where he made the error in the heat race.
02:46He's in the side.
02:48Just one rider to get by before he takes control of this race.
02:52Here he goes!
02:53I asked him yesterday about that move on Hunter Lawrence early at St. Louis last week.
02:58He said the opportunity presented itself, so I had to go for it.
03:01And here, he's presented with the same opportunity.
03:06Justin Hill looks over at Justin and takes the lead of this race.
03:11As I said, Ken Rockson, man, you can just tell this guy just understands what makes him so good.
03:18It's being so explosive.
03:20And Ken is out there doing what he's been doing over the last few weekends.
03:23And just to be able to be that aggressive, get past Hunter Lawrence, get past Justin's heel right here, catching
03:3094.
03:31Jumping through the whoops, picture perfect.
03:35Like James was saying, how explosive he is.
03:37These first couple laps, his M.O.
03:41I would assume, to come out here, throw down some sprint laps, four or five laps, get a gap, four
03:48or five seconds, and just maintain from there.
03:51And I haven't seen many people in this sport do it better than Ken Rockson.
03:54That's what he did last week.
03:56And then he was told to slow it down on the last lap.
03:59And he said, that got me out of my rhythm.
04:01Right.
04:01He had a 10-plus second lead.
04:04And why is this going to be really hard for these guys like Hunter Lawrence?
04:07Because we see how slippery this racetrack is.
04:09Anytime anybody's pushing it on this racetrack, they've been making a lot of mistakes.
04:13So this gap with Kenny's getting is just going to make it really, really hard for Hunter to make that
04:18time up.
04:20This is where Hunter, he can't waste any time behind the 26 of Jorge Prado and that Red Bull KTM.
04:27He's lost a lot of time.
04:28Oh, no, bottom of the screen.
04:30Malcolm Stewart, Joey Savace.
04:32Here goes Hunter Lawrence on Prado.
04:34Inside in the sand section.
04:36Which line works out better?
04:37The inside one does for the Honda HRC Progressive Rider.
04:41Championship perspective right here.
04:43The two guys holding the red plate, Hunter Lawrence and Eli Tomac.
04:49Right now, the leader would be Hunter Lawrence.
04:53Hunter Lawrence and Ken Rockson tied at the top.
04:56That's right.
04:57Crazy.
04:59This is Chase Sexton and Eli Tomac, ninth and tenth.
05:03Tomac has made up three positions over the last lap, though.
05:06He's got a lot more.
05:07Malcolm Stewart, your little brother, back in the mechanics area.
05:10What a shame.
05:11He rode so well in his heat.
05:13Tomac was 12 that first lap.
05:16So he's got some work to do.
05:20Here is Hunter Lawrence on Justin Hill.
05:22What a stardom.
05:24What a ride by Justin.
05:25Yeah.
05:26Go back a few years ago.
05:27Justin had a breakout ride here in Nashville.
05:30Something about this soul in the stadium.
05:33He's doing pretty good.
05:34But Hunter Lawrence is actually making some time back up on Ken Rockson.
05:39Ken didn't get away too much.
05:41That's great for Hunter.
05:42We know how strong he is at the end of the race.
05:45Look at the lap times here.
05:47Hunter Lawrence, the last lap.
05:4853-1 to a 53-5 for Ken Rockson.
05:52Wow.
05:52Four tenths.
05:53So watch that margin.
05:55It's two and a half seconds.
05:57Rockson to Lawrence with still plenty of time left in this main event.
06:01Now, I don't know, maybe Kenny made a mistake, but you can tell by his body language, this
06:07isn't the normal Ken Rockson that we see in these opening laps.
06:11Kind of looks a little stiff, so I'm interested to see what happened here because Hunter Lawrence
06:15is making up a lot of time, RC.
06:18Well, I was down here in qualifying practice.
06:21Lee and I were on the track, and I just could see that the track was a little bit different
06:25in qualifying practice earlier today.
06:27But Hunter just looked comfortable on his motorcycle, and I said that to him, and I'm like, man.
06:33So, these next couple laps are going to be interesting.
06:36I think if the 96 can get a hook in him, it's game on.
06:39JT.
06:41Guys, watch next lap in the sand.
06:43Kenny's tripling to the outside, which has been really good all day, but they've done some
06:47track work, and that inside line through the sand is really starting to work.
06:51Watch Hunter.
06:52He triples to the inside and uses a lot less racetrack.
06:55He's going to close it down even more than he already is.
06:58Yeah, no, he's, I mean, he's already on him.
07:00And talk about this a little bit during the call.
07:03It's been a few years since Ken Rocks has been in position, almost 10 years in this spot
07:08where he's riding as good.
07:10Do you think maybe the pressure's starting to get to him?
07:13Because he's definitely riding really tight as Hunter's going up the inside.
07:16Well, look at this.
07:18Lawrence switches lines, switches again, has a shot at the lead of the race.
07:22Will he look at that inside option on Rocks, and he sure does, but couldn't quite get
07:26it done.
07:27Yeah, I can tell you this much, James, and you know it better than anybody.
07:30When you're in Hunter Lawrence's position and you've made that much time up on your rival
07:35and competitor for the championship, it is a great feeling because you're playing with
07:39house money on speed.
07:41Yeah, and especially against Ken Rocks, and again, we know how good Ken has been in the
07:47beginning of the part of the race, and Hunter's almost strong.
07:49He's stronger towards the end, so we'll find out.
07:52Looks like Kenny's starting to stabilize.
07:54Justin Hill is right behind these guys, but Hunter's in a great spot, as you can see, right
07:59there.
08:01Hey, while we're enjoying this fight up front, let's just take a moment to praise Team Tettas'
08:06race, Justin Hill.
08:07That's a private tier bike ostensibly.
08:09He's ahead of the factory KTM of Jorge Prado.
08:13Well done to the veteran.
08:16Go ahead and make the pass in my can.
08:18Are you?
08:19Yeah.
08:19I don't know, man.
08:21Like, this is where I love, like, bench racing with you.
08:24I, myself, personally, I would, if I knew that I had him on speed, if I was Hunter and
08:29I had Kenny on speed, I would kind of leave him out there to hang and try to force Ken
08:35into an error to maybe where I could not only pass him, but maybe he, like, tips it, and
08:41then I could gain more position by that.
08:44No, I mean, it's a slippery slope.
08:47Yeah, no, I agree with you, but I think Kenny's so good that, you know, he's going to stabilize
08:50his race now.
08:51He looks a little bit looser than what he was, so I think he'd just kind of jump on him
08:55as we were watching the teammates.
08:56But if Cooper Webb on the inside of Justin Cooper gets it.
09:01Meanwhile, Eli Tomac has not been able to move any further forward than 10th place.
09:08Here is Chase Sexton in 9th.
09:10There is Eli Tomac, 10th.
09:13Boom!
09:13Sexton pressing hard on Dylan Ferrandis on that Troy Lee-designed red ball Ducati.
09:20Yeah, look how slippery his track is.
09:22I noticed that when we had a shot on Eli the last time we had it, he was kind of
09:27looking
09:28like Chase Sexton was in that heat race.
09:30There wasn't really no sense of urgency, kind of standing out, laboring into the corners,
09:34and the guy that we saw in the heat race isn't this guy right now.
09:40It's like he's settled into these guys' pace.
09:43Even though, like, he's probably a bit faster, it's almost like, yeah, he's just gotten into
09:49their, yeah, into their pace here.
09:50And that's, this is going to be huge for both Kenny and Hunter from a points perspective.
09:56Nice work from Ferrandis there.
09:57Passer Shane McElrack.
09:59That's for seven.
10:01And that is exactly Ferrandis' best result on this new ride aboard that Troy Lee-designed
10:09red ball Ducati.
10:10Keep in mind, we haven't talked about it hardly at all today, other than how it affects the
10:16track conditions.
10:16It's been hot, and not always do these guys race in hot conditions in Supercross, so
10:22greatness is really going to come into play.
10:25The sun has absolutely been beaming all day here today, so as we get later on in this main
10:31event, it's going to be fun to see how it works out for the top two guys.
10:35That was weird.
10:37Was it Sabaji?
10:38Yeah, Sabaji's pulling over, but he was a lap down, so.
10:41So back up front, 1.2, 1.3 seconds.
10:45Slices it back to one.
10:47It's fluctuating, but Roxanne's remaining resilient out in front.
10:52I wonder if Kenny kind of got into a slump there early on and maybe lost his groove, and
10:58that's what allowed Hunter Lawrence to catch up to him.
11:01But he's kind of pulled back out of gap now, Will.
11:05I'm just down, Ricky, in the mechanics area right now, keeping an eye on camera on camera.
11:09You can see right there, that's Hunter Lawrence's mechanic and Billy Hartle, Ken Rockson's mechanic.
11:13Right now, it's kind of alternating between just letting them know position on board, position that everybody else is at
11:19on the track, and obviously the time difference there.
11:22But also, every now and then, we see them flash up messages, right, solid, good, that's what we needed.
11:27So right now, they're just keeping their guys honest on track at this battle unfolds.
11:32Oh, man, this is James, I just go back to our days of racing, and any time you get down
11:38the stretch right here, and it's almost, when you're neck and neck like this, and so close in time, it
11:44just becomes a battle of the minds at this stage, and who wants it more?
11:49Yeah.
11:49Oh, hey, Prado's in trouble.
11:51The Red Bull KTM rider, there he is, bottom box.
11:54He was running in fourth, challenging Justin Hill for third.
11:58Yep, that one section.
12:00And up there, Hunter Lawrence.
12:04Almost one second advantage he gained.
12:07Here he comes.
12:09All fitness right here.
12:11Oh, Kenny gets off sequence.
12:13He doesn't triple out of that corner right there, James.
12:16Lappers, are Lappers going to come into account?
12:19Ooh, I like that inside to the right on the whoops.
12:22Looks like you're able to drive through a little bit faster.
12:25Yeah.
12:26Robson takes the inside line.
12:28Hunter Lawrence with a hard landing also.
12:30on the inside.
12:31Lost a little time there.
12:32We're just over the halfway mark.
12:34Quick reminder to stock up on Monster Energy drinks at your local Kroger.
12:39Yeah, it didn't look like Hunter did anything to be able to close that gap up on Kenny.
12:44So you can tell he's in that spot to where he feels like he has that pace.
12:47He can close that gap whenever.
12:48So it really just comes down to when he wants to make that move.
12:52We talked about it earlier in the heat races.
12:53When you get there, you've got to jump on that guy.
12:56You know Kenny's probably going to fight back.
12:58So wherever you do it, make sure it's in the spot.
13:00Kenny can't retaliate and slow this race down for you.
13:03That's right.
13:03You can't have an attempted fail.
13:05Close call right there by Tristan Lane.
13:08Kenny almost ran into him.
13:10But look at that right side.
13:12See where Hunter was at.
13:13I believe that's going to be a really good opportunity for Hunter if he can be close to make a
13:18move.
13:18But I go back to fitness and how is that going to play a part?
13:26This is fascinating.
13:28Watching the ebb and flow between these two and that gap kind of expand and contract.
13:35Who is playing the better game here?
13:37Is it Roxanne out in front or is it Hunter Lawrence just biding his time?
13:41And you talk about game, Lee, and I believe this, James.
13:44It is a game of chess.
13:46And what is the game plan?
13:49Yeah, no, I agree with you.
13:51And you won't believe it.
13:51Kenny, a mistake by Roxanne.
13:54He knew it.
13:54He looked behind.
13:55And Lawrence was out of pounce.
13:56Now, Roxanne comes back.
13:59Ooh.
14:00Lawrence has got the inside line.
14:02Roxanne can't set him up for a move there.
14:04Hunter Lawrence in the lead of this race.
14:07Yeah, Kenny, he slid off of that little single on the inside.
14:11And he looked back almost as if something happened.
14:13And he was very respectful to Hunter Lawrence.
14:16He ran there.
14:16He could have ran in a lot harder, Ricky.
14:18Kenny's a quality guy.
14:19But these next couple laps are going to be so key.
14:22Ken is normally so explosive, not only beginning of the race,
14:26would be able to get back by it.
14:28But watch what happens.
14:29Ken gets a little sideways right there.
14:31He's going to come out of this 90 sideways under braking.
14:35Yeah, he just slid off.
14:36And he must have looked back because he thought Hunter might have been on the outside.
14:39I'm not really sure.
14:39But he could have punted Hunter off the racetrack.
14:42I think even Hunter was kind of surprised that he didn't do it.
14:45But just showed you how much respect Kenny Roxanne has.
14:47But there's that gap.
14:49Now look at this.
14:50Hunter Lawrence says, thank you.
14:52That was a gift.
14:52And I'm going to take off.
14:54There's no pressure on Ken Roxanne from Justin Hill whatsoever.
14:58So this is comfort zone.
15:00If he doesn't have anything in response to Hunter Lawrence,
15:04it's still going to be a good result that keeps him within one point of the championship lead.
15:09A lot of racing left.
15:10But you talk about the mental side a lot, James.
15:13And I have to say,
15:15if Hunter is able to get this win and take it down to the checker,
15:20the confidence that that's going to give him going into these next four rounds,
15:25I just think would be...
15:27Oh, Roxanne's dropped it.
15:29Oh, he's got to kick it too.
15:31Oh, it gets back, fired back quick.
15:34This race is unraveling for Ken Roxanne.
15:37Oh, there goes Cooper Webb.
15:40Justin Hill is second.
15:41Webb is third.
15:42Roxanne demoted to fourth.
15:44That was right before the finish line.
15:46So we heard the crowd.
15:48Really not sure where he was.
15:50I'm not sure how he ended up that way.
15:53Maybe over-rotated the corner or something coming out.
15:56Oh, hold on.
15:58We've seen a couple of those moments.
16:00Right.
16:00And he just, even on the bike, just really stiff.
16:02And dude, it seems like he's, I don't know,
16:05maybe not as energetic even before, you know, he went down.
16:10A little lethargic on the bike, but you never know.
16:14Six minutes to go, plus a lap.
16:16I don't know.
16:17What do you see, James?
16:18Well, I mean, he came out firing.
16:20I mean, we saw him get around Hunter,
16:22make those kind of passes, and it looked like Ken Roxanne.
16:25I just got to go back to just on the mental side.
16:28Either we meant something, maybe he hurt himself,
16:30overjumped something, and he's kind of dealing with that.
16:32Or you got to look at the championship, you know what I mean?
16:36Like, that pressure of being there.
16:38Oh, yeah.
16:38By the way, this is second in Justin Hill,
16:41third in Cooper Webb, and Roxanne is just to the right of your screen.
16:44This is going to be close for those next two spots on the podium,
16:47with Hunter Lawrence clearing out to a whopping 16-plus second lead.
16:53Love the resiliency, too, of Cooper Webb.
16:56Great run for Justin Hill, but Cooper Webb defending Supercross champ.
17:00Three-time Supercross champ at that as well.
17:04Here we go.
17:05Never give up.
17:06Inside move.
17:07Cooper Webb, he hasn't been on the podium,
17:10MRC in the last three races.
17:12Justin Hill fights back.
17:13Wow.
17:14Hill says, I want this second place.
17:17Great move.
17:18Yes, he does.
17:19Yes, he does.
17:19You know that's not going to sit well with the number one Cooper Webb, but...
17:24What it's doing is it's helping Roxanne.
17:26Yeah, it's helping Roxanne, and you got to look at fifth place.
17:29Dylan Ferrandis isn't too far behind those guys.
17:32Same thing with Chase Sexton.
17:33I'm just right there, yeah.
17:38Oh, no.
17:39Eli Tomac drops it.
17:41Oh, this is going to be massive.
17:43He was in eighth place, and he is seeing positions and points go by.
17:47He's going to be outside of the top ten, or close to it, right on that bubble.
17:54Eleventh place.
17:55For the day that started with so much promise with a heat win.
17:59What happened to Tomac?
18:00Watch bike three.
18:01Yeah, I'm assuming he's going to air.
18:03Probably just going to hit the front brake and lose.
18:05Oh, yeah, there you go.
18:06Yeah, you can just tell.
18:08Wow.
18:09His troubles already started.
18:11This kind of adds insult to injury, but he's looking.
18:15He's back in 11th place now.
18:18Meanwhile, Cooper Webb's got backed by Justin Hill.
18:22So, the defending Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion in the 450 class is up to second, and a much-needed
18:31second at that.
18:34He had a really great run of podiums there, mid-season, and then he's been absent from the podium the
18:40last three rounds.
18:41This will be a welcome relief return.
18:45Yeah.
18:46But speaking of podium, look at that number 14 on the Ducati race and Dylan Ferrandez.
18:52This podium might be for him as well.
18:54Oh, Kenny.
18:56Here comes Ferrandez.
18:57Ferrandez on that Ducati.
18:58Yeah, Kenny.
19:01Kenny's struggling right now.
19:03Dylan Ferrandez is relishing this opportunity.
19:06Whoa, whoa, whoa.
19:08Oh, just made a mistake.
19:09And Sexton's right there.
19:11They Sexton was there to capitalize.
19:13Ooh.
19:14Ooh.
19:15That's going to be no comment.
19:16Yeah.
19:17The refs aren't going to like that.
19:20Yeah, refs aren't going to like that move there by Dylan Ferrandez.
19:24He probably should have gotten back on or made a more effort to go to that corner.
19:29Yeah.
19:31Yeah, Dylan, we're kind of watching you right now.
19:33That's right.
19:33There's a lot of cameras in this building.
19:36But he looks good out there.
19:38He's riding really good.
19:39Yeah, and still, we've still got two and a half minutes plus one lap.
19:42This is where Kenny, right now, you talk about his championship run in these last three weeks,
19:47how they win.
19:48He has got to dig so deep.
19:51How special were there's two wins?
19:52Well, if he could be able to get on the podium, this would be huge.
19:58Quality pass.
19:59Yeah, nice pass by Kenny right there.
20:02Don't discount Jay Sexton.
20:03Here comes the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider.
20:11Yeah, you know, Jay senses that as well.
20:14Like, Kenny might be struggling.
20:15I'm sure he would like to be able to get on the podium, especially how his day has been going.
20:19Number four, Kawasaki, Jay Sexton.
20:23I think this could be as difficult as this race has been for Kenny.
20:27If he finishes on the podium, it's like a win.
20:30It's like a win.
20:31Straight up.
20:31Yeah, I agree with that.
20:33It just shows you the mentality that's been different.
20:35We can't rock the button.
20:38Doesn't get up.
20:39That number four is closing.
20:40Yeah, it's coming down to the wire too.
20:43And lappers coming into play.
20:46Sexton got a good drive right here.
20:47He's all over him.
20:50I know these guys have been buddies in the past,
20:52but it's going to be interesting to see if the four really pushes hard to get that podium
20:58or he gives one to his friend here.
21:00Points-wise, Roxen is 10 adrift of Hunter Lawrence now as they run
21:05with a minute plus a lap to go in this 450 main.
21:08The 26-year-old Australian bottom box, Hunter Lawrence on the Honda HRC progressive machine.
21:15He's looking at his fourth win on the season.
21:18He had never won a 450 main until this year.
21:22Can he win his first 450 main and a 450 title in the same year?
21:27There's some legendary names in the sport like Bob Hanna and David Bailey and Jeff Stanton,
21:33Jeremy McGrath, Chet Lawrence and others who have accomplished that feat.
21:37Hunter could add his name to that list in just four races' time.
21:41What an absolutely epic ride by the number 96 of Hunter Lawrence on that factory Honda HRC.
21:48That fall that he took two weeks ago in Detroit, he backs it up with the podium
21:53and then now an absolutely dominant ride.
21:57Bides his time, it's by the man.
22:00Quality, quality ride.
22:02No, I agree with you on that.
22:05And I would say every one of his wins this year, right?
22:08And like straight up, he's beat the guy.
22:10So talk about believing in yourself.
22:12He's got it done, but this race ain't over, Div.
22:16Well, look, I like to go back and think about the history that riders have in certain locations.
22:21This is where Hunter Lawrence clinched his 250 East Division title.
22:26This is a special place to this guy.
22:29And we just had his younger brother, Jet, in the booth with us,
22:33talking about what he's seen his brother accomplish this year
22:36and how he's seen his older brother grow and move into a different echelon of the sport,
22:43which is that brotherly pride.
22:45But this is big time for Hunter Lawrence.
22:48One lap to go before he extends his championship lead
22:52and wins for the fourth time this year.
22:55Cooper Webb is eight and a half seconds back.
22:57Ken Rockson, you're watching on your screen,
22:58is in third with Chase Sexton chasing.
23:02And then Dylan Ferrandez is poised to get the Red Bull Troy Lee designed Ducati bike
23:07its best result in its maiden season.
23:10Quick reminder that the SMX insider post-race show presented by Bass Pro Shops
23:14is coming up when we say goodbye in just a moment's time.
23:18That's on Peacock.
23:20I know Jet's happy for his brother, but man, the way Hunter's ride,
23:24there's going to be some awkward dinners at the house
23:27when he's got to go up against him
23:29because Hunter Lawrence is a different man.
23:31He stalked Ken Rockson at the beginning of the race.
23:36Rockson made a little mistake
23:37and Hunter Lawrence was there to capitalize on it.
23:42Hunter Lawrence wins in Nashville
23:45and extends his championship lead.
23:48Thanks so much for watching Supercross on NBC.
23:52We'll see you on Peacock for the post-race show.
23:54What a day.
24:13SMX insider post-race show presented by Bass Pro Shops
24:17as the race goes on.
24:20We're live here with you on Peacock
24:22and what an afternoon it's been in the Music City.
24:27We welcome you inside Nissan Stadium
24:29where we are congratulating Hunter Lawrence
24:35winning for the fourth time this year
24:38and extending his championship lead.
24:41What a day it's been for him.
24:44He looked good right from the very first session earlier today
24:49and he can't help but hide that smile.
24:51You don't even look tired, James.
24:53I mean, you can be tired
24:57but winning, it solves a lot of things.
25:00I'm really, really impressed by this guy
25:02and what he was able to do here today.
25:05And I go back to, and again, we talk about Detroit
25:08and that crash that he took at the end of the whoops.
25:11That could have easily ended his season
25:13and then to bounce back last week
25:15and get a podium
25:17and then this win, massive.
25:22Wow.
25:23Yeah.
25:24You look at his demeanor, it's all business.
25:28And Hunter, he's got an easygoing disposition.
25:32You just say, yeah, mate, that's what I was meant to do.
25:35Yeah, that was in the plan.
25:38He knows, and he's super happy about that.
25:41But what's really impressive, if I'm Hunter Lawrence,
25:43you have that incident, you go down,
25:47just business, you're back to normal, right?
25:49If I don't go down, I'm still winning these points.
25:51I was the guy that was on form.
25:53He just kind of solidified that to himself
25:55and everybody else out there that he's back.
25:57And you know, another thing too, James, I feel like,
25:59also, like, now that you're talking about he's back,
26:02I feel like he's back to where he was
26:04before that crash at Detroit.
26:06So pick up, move on forward.
26:10So as we show you the results,
26:12I can tell you that Dylan Ferrandez was penalized
26:16the position for short-cutting the track.
26:18So that demotes him to sixth,
26:22relegates him to sixth,
26:23and promotes Justin Hill to fifth.
26:26Great top five for Justin.
26:27And really good ride by Chase Sexton
26:29to come back for as far back as he was
26:31to get fourth and be challenging for that podium
26:34and have about, how about Eli Tomac?
26:37That fall, he'd worked hard to get up as high as eight,
26:41but it's going to be 12th and 13th
26:43for the Red Bull KTM teammates.
26:46However, today is all about the Honda man.
26:49Hunter Lawrence, win number four on the season, Will,
26:52and extends his lead.
26:54Thank you, Lee.
26:55That's right, Hunter.
26:56Extend that lead to 10 points there.
26:58There was a lot going on on the track there during that race,
27:02and a lot of it you probably didn't know anything about
27:03because you were way out there in front.
27:05How does it feel to get that points gap now
27:07after what you've been through the last couple of weeks
27:10and execute on a tough night?
27:12It feels great.
27:13I'm so happy my wrist wasn't holding me back tonight.
27:15That was probably the coolest thing.
27:16And just every Saturday night,
27:18I want to go out and have no limitations
27:20holding me back from anything.
27:21So it was fun.
27:23Massive cheers to the team.
27:24Gibson, Nashville, the hospitality, thank you so much.
27:27It feels like a home race with how nice everyone is
27:30and how welcoming they've all been.
27:31So thank you.
27:32Looking forward to coming back next year.
27:34Just to reflect back, you talked about the venue here,
27:36the Nashville fans.
27:37This is a special place for you, Hunter,
27:39because you clinched your 250 title here too.
27:42Was that in the back of your head here coming into tonight?
27:45No, not really.
27:46Just the cool collaboration with Gibson
27:48and everything they do for us
27:50and the cool stuff that comes out of it.
27:51I'm like, man, I've got to win this thing.
27:53Make it worth it.
27:54Cesar and his family's out here.
27:56Cheers to you guys.
27:57Thanks, everyone, for coming out.
27:58Incredible.
27:59Congratulations, Hunter.
28:02He's feeling good
28:04because he's putting his foot on the gas.
28:06Check this out as we show you the points.
28:09Remember, he came in tied just two weeks ago.
28:12He wasn't in the lead of the championship.
28:14Came in tied
28:15and now boasts a 10-point advantage.
28:18That massive blow there for Eli Tomac.
28:21This was a really rough day.
28:23And I'm going to tell you, James,
28:24I was not expecting that
28:26after how dominant that ride was
28:28in that heat race.
28:29Yeah, I go back to the pass
28:32that Ken almost made,
28:34just how different that dynamic was.
28:36And it's crazy how mental this sport is.
28:40It's wild, isn't it?
28:40Second of all time, all these championships,
28:43and it's like he's trying to convince himself
28:44that he's back and had a tough time.
