00:40championship hopes and there they are side by side top two in the championship you can see a little
00:47bit in Cole Davies right he has a little bit of a deeper right but it's a very straight right

00:52you kind of always look at see if that if it has a hole if how vicious the upcoming is
00:59on it as well
00:59so it looks pretty flat there's Hunter probably drinking a smoothie or a tea he uh or coffee he
01:06loves coffee at this time as well so he's probably drinking coffee trying to stay awake it's such a
01:10long day by his own words Cole Davies only has one thing on his mind he wasn't worried about those
01:16east-west showdowns he was interested in winning this East Division championship and if he gets
01:21another victory here this afternoon in Tennessee he's going to go a long way to achieving that
01:26for Seth Hamaker it's now it has to be now he's got to beat Davies 250 east here in Tennessee

01:33and Hamaker does get a good start they tuck it in there nice thrasher here comes Daxton Benick
01:41with the whole shot and that's the great thing about being able to sneak up the inside like that
01:47oh and thrasher comes up power move gets into the lead quick Cole Davies sending it through the whoops
01:54right now with Hamaker right behind him yes Seth had a little scary one there he got lost some spin

02:05well so great to see him back up there with his first race back since his injury yeah that was

02:10great save uh by Seth right there he wanted to get in there but nonetheless he ends up getting passed

02:15Cole Davies but I love what I see from these guys we saw a good drew Adams was riding earlier

02:20heat race um Nate thrasher as well see what these guys can do with an open track league how about

02:25rockstar energy factory house partner of Daxton Benick the 58 right there last week in St. Louis in the
02:32East West showdown he had to go via the last chance qualifier he won that then finished sixth and
02:37elevated himself to third in the championship this guy's having a stellar season and he's keeping a
02:42watchful eye on Drew Adams well you see him looking over his shoulder and the reason that he's looking
02:47over his shoulder he's protecting the inside riding a little defensive to make sure the 35 of Drew Adams
02:52doesn't come up and try to make a pass up the inside great pass by Cole Davies
02:59look at Seth Hammacher trying to do the same thing you just have to assume Jett that he does not

03:05the 37 to get away and he's got to make every move that Cole does yeah I think what you're
03:10going to see
03:11here is the difficult thing of Cole's going to make a move Seth's going to make a move Cole's going

03:15make another move Seth's going to make another move and it's just going to be they're going to be going
03:19through the pack right now until they get to the front and once you get to the front I think

03:24going to be trying to go as hard as they can to get around each other so I think we

03:29great race on our hands right now and I'm excited for it well in this spot if you have somebody

03:34little bit faster than you which normally doesn't happen in your situation if you're Seth do you try
03:39to get around Cole and slow him down or you just try to follow him up to me I almost

03:43would want to stop his momentum but if you're in this spot what do you do see if I mean

03:51of situation what I'm trying to do is while he's focused on the guy in front I'm going to be

03:56to break his rhythm like you said I'm going to try and surprise him get a front wheel in there

04:07I'd be focusing on. Cole Davies mate quick worker Daxton Benick his teammate Landon Gordon's in the
04:12mechanics area and he works on his other teammate Nate Trasher. Well this is going to really test the
04:18spirit of Seth Hamaker right now because Cole Davies has made some clutch moves to get by and you're
04:24going to keep your eye on the top of your screen right here this is where Cole Davies is so

04:29and so fast watch the time he'll make up in the whoops. All over him. Here we go inside move

04:37out almost had a shot there at his teammate goes the inside line this is where he got Daxton Benick
04:44not quite close enough. Yeah you're kind of surprised that Nate's running him so hard you know
04:49considering where Cole is in the championship but good for him like at this point this is only
04:54helping Seth out he has to try to get around Daxton Benick because I believe if Cole gets around his
04:59teammate he might just ride off into the sunset. Nate Trash is coming off his best result of the year
05:05hasn't been on the podium yet but a fourth last weekend in St. Louis was crucial for him to get
05:10things
05:11back on track. Right here going back to the last lap Cole needs to be right on the rear tire
05:16of Thrasher
05:17if he wants to absolutely execute this pass going through the whoops.
05:23Meanwhile watch in the background watch Hamaker here comes the Kawasaki rider here comes Davies
05:27almost out of shape. Again buck wilding them whoops right now both of them Cole and Seth in the background.
05:34Yes Seth went forward as well in the background but you know I noticed Cole went a little bit farther
05:39inside of that last lap that he did and Daxton makes a nice pass up to the inside of Nate
05:45Thrasher.
05:47That was a beautiful move from Daxton Benick. Meanwhile let's talk more about Seth Hamaker,
05:54his wage. Yeah well this is fun as you watch him go through that is his mom Sally she is
05:59not watching
06:00the race she never does she sets a clock on her phone for 13 minutes paces nervously because she
06:05doesn't want to watch her son race and then two minutes to go she'll check to see if he's heading
06:09to the podium or not. This action is going on right now one person doesn't know his mom.
06:15I think that helps with the stress a lot. I would do the same but I can't I have to
06:20watch.
06:21Oh tell you what. Sorry about that his weight got forward in the whoops and the back end got light
06:27that was a nice adjustment that Seth made. Oh maybe here if he nails this inside. Go across. Yeah good
06:34move. There you go Seth. And Daxton was nice to him right there. He could have pushed him up a

06:38bit and made no contact but I feel like Dax he knows what's on the line right now. These are

06:44key laps for Seth right now because while Cole doesn't know he's in second right now he's got
06:50to make up as much time as he possibly can before Cole looks back and goes okay Seth's right there
06:55so I think he's really got to execute these laps nicely to try and gain as much time while maybe
07:01Cole's still relaxed. JT. Oh! Hammock is down! Seth Hammock has said a week ago he has to
07:14push it more he has to go for it more did he push it too much at the wrong time
07:19trying to catch Cole
07:20Davies. That was such a simple little mistake right there and I thought he had his save that
07:28wasn't major. Here's a replay right here so he comes out triple everything is good just gets off balance
07:35and his momentum was going to the left. Oh man didn't it. Bike pummeled him right here so he was
07:43off balance
07:43right Chad? See the the tough block grabbed his foot just a little bit to create that extra bit of
07:49momentum for his bike to keep going sideways. Bummer. Got off really lucky I mean to be able to get
07:55back up but
07:55what started that he over jumped that triple and got his way too far forward that's what pushed him off
08:00that balance but man tough break he said he was going to hang out still in fourth place so didn't
08:06lose too much
08:07but man that's going to be costly as far as going after the win. Hopefully we can make it back
08:12and
08:13salvage the podium that's what we're going to try and go for and hopefully either he's just trying to
08:18kind of hoping if maybe Cole makes a mistake in the upcoming rounds or something else. This is
08:24Devon Simonson up against Henry Miller. Simonson on the inside. Miller makes the inside switch there
08:31and through the sand section. This is a good scrap for fifth place. Yeah I like that inside because
08:37we saw what Seth did it seems like you can maybe hop out of that that berm and just close
08:42the guys off
08:43even if they have the more momentum on the outside. Here comes Devon Simonson around the outside
08:51and at the moment as we race Simonson has the upper hand on his Club MX teammate Cody Schock.
08:57These two have been having an awesome season this year going back and forth.
09:01Yeah they've been going back and forth like you said trade positions each weekend diff but
09:05what a ride by Henry Miller right here. He was working on Simonson was able to make the pass
09:12looking comfortable out there.
09:18Meanwhile we're over the halfway mark quick reminder to stock up on Monster Energy drinks
09:22at Kroger.
09:26Sand sections right here Jet. You like sand sections?
09:29I don't mind them. When they're in tight sections like that they're not as fun for sure.
09:33When they're in nice swimming turns I find them a lot more fun especially when they have some nice
09:38rollers that you can jump and time together. So I like the sand especially in outdoors.
09:44Henry Miller in this fifth place aboard his MX6 Kawasaki. That's exactly where he got
09:49season best in Detroit a couple of races ago. So nice work Henry.
09:54Henry sits behind Seth Hammacher ahead of Devin Simonson. Meanwhile race leader Cole Davies
10:00has blown out to almost a six second advantage.
10:03Yeah dude is just rolling right here and I feel like when you get into this position
10:07for a rider the caliber of Cole this is this I feel like he's just in maintenance or maintaining
10:13mode. Will? Ricky for all of you guys just chatting with Cole Davies yesterday asking about sort of how far
10:22he's come from round one for him to this point. Now he was just describing how much of a kind
10:28of calmer
10:29rider he is more controlled. He specifically talked about when he doesn't get the start and it was a
10:34decent start but we didn't see him out there with a whole shot and what he does and he said
10:38he's just
10:38learned to go about being calm in those moments working his way forward not panicking not kind
10:44of going I'm going to get to the front and over pushing and what we're seeing is a work from
10:47that's
10:48just exactly what we saw today and he seems to be learning it very quickly. He said nobody told him
10:53that he just figured it out. I just feel that we're seeing this rider really develop right in front of
10:57our eyes. A lot of bumps there you saw Hunter Lawrence riding towards the gate area to get ready
11:03for his main event. Look New Zealand for a small population produces incredible sports men and
11:09women and sporting accomplishments. I can't remember if I said this last week or not but you may have
11:15seen the news story where this young man this teenage sensation Cole Davies has captured the attention of
11:21fellow New Zealand sports people and in the motorsports sphere six-time IndyCar champ Scott Dixon,
11:27NASCAR sensation Shane Van Gisbergen, Liam Lawson Formula One driver, they've all reached out to
11:33this young man via social media to congratulate him and to spur him on and encourage him that's
11:38pretty cool stuff. No it really is I mean can you imagine seeing that through social media getting
11:43the stars of other sports knowing that they're watching you but everybody in the motorsports
11:48industry whether you're on two or four wheeled we all appreciate like I'm sure Cole watches those
11:52guys I know I do so man really cool for those guys to reach out to him and we're just
11:58luck. This is going to be
11:59a very generous pickup and points for Cole Davies towards his quest for this 250 east division
12:06championship. Just four minutes and one four and a half minutes and one lap remaining here and
12:13picking his way through these lappers doing a fantastic job doing that JT. He looks incredible
12:20Ricky and what I really enjoy about his racing is just the maturity that he shows because yes riders take
12:28risk for sleep hurt and seeing Seth Panmaker kind of have the negative side of that but also Cole took
12:34some risk when he made that pass in the whoops he was a little bit out of shape to get
12:37make the pass
12:38on the thrash but he knew when and where to apply that risk and the rest of the race he's
12:43been so
12:43tremendously patient and such a big part of this is knowing when to push and if I have to say
12:48it
12:49a lot of this reminds me of a young Jett Lawrence the patience and then an intensity when needed.
12:54Yeah it does and another thing that I was really impressed with last year with Cole Davies in his
12:59rookie season is when he was getting heat in these races he was really good at just riding his race
13:05he
13:06didn't get caught in the moment override the motorcycle if he was being pressured and to have
13:11that amount of self-discipline is very tough as you know Jett and and James hard to do that at
13:17a young age.
13:17No it's it's I think one of the hardest things as a young kid you have all the energy in
13:22the world
13:22and all you want to do is is win and I know as when I was young and I still
13:27am you're so competitive
13:28and all you want to do is win so I think it's a great thing to have knowing when you
13:32need to step
13:33it up and and when you need to you know back it down like you said in this one he
13:37had that little burst
13:38of energy in the whoops to make a pass and now honestly you just see him flowing he's you don't
13:43see any
13:43extra energy that he's putting in you don't see any extra thing he's trying to pull out just hitting
13:48his marks and doing it and now you see here we're just talking about that see if Seth could maybe
13:53catch up to make a salvage a podium and he's doing that right now even second place is right there
13:58Dax so he's going to get some uh fun racing really soon. Yeah Seth has done a great job at
14:03catching these
14:04guys he was about seven seconds behind him so he's doing everything he understands if he can't beat Cole
14:09he needs to finish behind him so great recovery from here right now I think it's a great
14:13opportunity maybe some of these guys get caught up in these lappers but Seth's got to try to make
14:17that second place. Daxton Benick isn't that far off the track either so Thrasher is the first one
14:23on Seth Hamaker's list then Daxton Benick who is having the best season of his career if he can
14:29finish second here we go Hamaker gets Thrasher so he's up to third. Yeah I was just about to call
14:35that out it felt like uh Seth needed to make that pass while Nate was more concentrated on that lapper
14:40um he might be able to sneak up the inside great blue by him in third place let's see if
14:44we can get
14:45another one. Yeah he used Jeremy Hand there as a pick to get by I don't think that uh Nate
14:50was anticipating that
14:53I think right now these combinations right of in the whoops is the worst time you have
15:00absolutely cupped out beat whoops with dry sling and these edges if people were down that scene they are like
15:07concrete curve so as soon as that thing gets kicked sideways it is so hard to try and get that

15:13tamed like as you've seen then uh before with Seth's run through there so it's it's hairy you're kind of
15:19deciding like oh do I jump but they're not broken down as much as like an east coast with like
15:24last
15:24weekend they broke down massively you can kind of jump them so he's in a hairy kind of situation of
15:31either
15:31jumping or skimming but he's still going with skimming because he's trying to make up passes right now.

15:51Be interesting to see how much of a fight Daxton Benick puts up right here because the 10 of
15:57Seth Hamaker has made up an immense amount of time and he is all over him.
16:03The one thing Seth Hamaker has shown us time and again James as he works on Benick here
16:07is he can have an incident and he rebounds and recovers so well they both go down
16:13Benick and Hamaker are down oh man Tresher goes through to grab second place oh my goodness
16:23what a heartbreak for Benick and the 10.
16:29That's such a bummer he was putting in such a great ride too that's such a bummer yeah
16:33just a race and incident Daxton lost the rear end and then Seth had that momentum but
16:39because Seth almost jumped off the racetrack it actually threw him wide so he was able to square
16:44that corner up and those two collided one more lap to go for Cole Davies he has no idea of
16:51the mayhem
16:51that has just unfolded behind him final lap and this is going to be massive for a guy like Devin
16:59Simonson showing him still fifth right here that'll be a career miss for Devin Simonson Davies is on
17:09route to his fourth victory of the year
17:16and this is what he does best stays in control
17:26manages everything championship on his mind gives himself a little confirmation nod there
17:35and in similar fashion to his teammate Hayden Deegan last weekend it's going to be a 15 plus second win
17:41look at this nodding his head Cole Davies has done it again and increases his championship lead
17:48in the 250 east division oh here we go Simonson getting by Benick Benick looks over
17:55sir there's Miller too Henry Miller wants a shot these next few seconds he might drop two positions
18:01Daxton Benick's got to try and recoup regroup and recover here but he's still shell-shocked from that
18:08knock and that ball Nate thrashes grab second oh no oh oh oh he could have had it Hammocker gets
18:15on the podium Simonson gets a career best and Daxton Benick a second or a third turns into a fifth
18:22wow that's a bummer that's a bummer there's the man at the moment he says let's go well you did

18:30the way to another win Cole Davies yeah that was that was a great ride I got to give a
18:35shout out to
18:35Seth he was able to get back up twice after two big hits and still finish up on the podium
18:40I think that's
18:42what it's it's hard to teach kids nowadays and I don't think it's very hard to teach just in general
18:48the hard work and that never give up obviously in that race Seth got knocked down twice and he still
18:53didn't quit and still kept going obviously got a third uh but I mean the man out right now obviously
18:58Cole Davies after a pretty probably fairly calmful race for him as his dad in the background there
