00:00There's another thing that I think I'm done talking about.
00:02Until he says it.
00:05I'm going to play something for you guys.
00:06You ain't going to like it.
00:07And you guys are going to accuse me of fanning the flames.
00:09But it is a national guy.
00:12And it is a well-listened-to man.
00:16A person who gets a lot of page views.
00:19I don't know if that's the best way to sell them.
00:21This is Mike Florio.
00:23And again, he's talking about you-know-who.
00:25And the Browns moving on from you-know-who.
00:27Mixed signals continue to emerge from Cleveland about the future of defensive end Myles Garrett.
00:33The team says he's not getting traded.
00:35And they're never trading him.
00:36But they redo his contract in a way that would make it easier to trade him.
00:40And then Myles Garrett doesn't show up for the offseason program.
00:42And he's reportedly not going to be there at all.
00:46It just feels like there's an opening.
00:48There's an opportunity for someone to make the Browns an offer they can't refuse.
00:53Think of it this way.
00:54No one has reported that the Browns are getting calls and slamming down the phone regarding the possibility of a
01:00Myles Garrett trade.
01:01And this is the time of year that calls are made throughout the league about anyone who could be, maybe,
01:07possibly will be available.
01:08So I'm not saying it will happen.
01:10But I'm not saying it won't happen either.
01:12And time will tell how long Myles Garrett remains with the Cleveland Browns.
01:17Unless I have, an audio courtesy of Pro Football Talk, unless I'm, I finally reached my wit's end yesterday.
01:24So I'm about to lay down some rules here.
01:27Just for the full disclosure, there's nothing better than when Ken has had enough.
01:31When he finally said, I'm not taking it anymore.
01:34And I text the group.
01:35I text the group.
01:36And immediately our boss makes fun of me going, okay, Tubby, we'll see.
01:40I got to lay down some rules here.
01:42Because it's, this is, it's almost like he's begging it to be talked into existence.
01:48Florio's a guy who covers everything.
01:49And he covers it to an intense degree where you're like, uncle, forget it.
01:53And we went around and around.
01:55And we got into it the day after Myles swung the helmet at Mason Graham.
01:59Right, Mason, um, Mason Rudolph.
02:01So it was a very weird morning that morning.
02:04But I am so tired of trying to be talked into it.
02:09Listen, I think that there's a lot of people out there who are Browns fans who, if they
02:15are offered, I think that they would sit there with their friends if they were offered something.
02:18If they're at the bar tonight and you said, well, I'll get you three first round picks.
02:22You probably do it.
02:23You probably do it.
02:24I understand that.
02:25I understand that people have come around to the idea.
02:28Regular Browns fans have come around to the idea.
02:30But talking about it every day ain't going to help me.
02:32And it don't make me any more sane.
02:33And it starts to get me mad.
02:36I understand that the reason they talk about it is because your team ain't good.
02:39If you were an 11-win team last year, you ain't talking about it.
02:41But you're a 5-win team last year.
02:43So people are going to try to take your great player, your number one player, your first
02:48ballot Hall of Famer, and they're going to try to put them with a good team.
02:50We used to do it with Calvin Johnson back in the day.
02:52We're going to try to put your player with a really good football team.
02:55That's how this is going to go.
02:56And it's happened with other guys.
02:58I've gotten to the point where either A, I know that if there's a sourced report that
03:05says that they are shopping him or he has asked for a trade, that's where I'm at right
03:11now.
03:11I am done.
03:12That to me is the last audio that I'm going to play.
03:16And I understand that I'm writing a big check here and you guys will call me out on it and
03:21maybe I'll have to go back on it.
03:22I don't want to, I don't plan to, but I am getting tired of playing speculative garbage.
03:28And that's the last piece of speculative garbage that I want to play about moving on from this
03:34guy and whatever picks we can get.
03:36If it happens on draft night, it happens on draft night.
03:39I'm pointing out, I don't think it's a complete impossibility.
03:42I'm saying I'm done entertaining it until there's something that has any concrete to it at all.
03:48Well, you're tired of the conversation too.
03:50I'm so tired of it because I'm trying to get ready for a season and I'm getting, and I
03:54just said, we'll win seven games this year.
03:55We might be able to win more than seven games.
03:57You ain't doing any of that without him.
03:59No, no, no.
04:01I mean, unless Shidor is amazing.
04:02Exactly.
04:03Sean is amazing.
04:04Exactly.
04:05So you're not getting to seven, eight, nine wins the way some people are tweeting at me
04:09right now.
04:09You're not getting to those wins without 95.
04:12You didn't get to five wins without 95.
04:14It would change every conversation.
04:15You won the Pittsburgh game last year just by him being on the football field and everybody
04:21said he didn't even show up in the game.
04:23No, he showed up.
04:23He was on the field.
04:24That's how much of a difference he makes.
04:26The rest of the team, the defense is great.
04:28The offense was sucked out loud.
04:30I am moving on as if Miles Garrett is a part of this football team.
04:34And until I see anything concrete sourced from any one of our fine local people or anything
04:41that comes out from the Rappaports and the Schefters and the et cetera, et cetera, especially
04:46Schefter, because, you know, they're going to give it to him.
04:48And then obviously that's when the real stuff is going on because it's a PR arm.
04:53Yeah.
04:54Then I'll discuss it.
04:54But man, I think Browns fans are done.
04:56I think we're ready to look forward to a season and stop looking back on the past.
04:59And we're ready to look forward to all of this and get ready for the 2026 season.
05:03Because you know what?
05:04If you're going to give me an extra first round pick in 2027 or 2026 for the guy, that
05:08ain't going to do me any damn bit of difference because we're all talking about how bad this
05:11draft is, Tone.
05:12So that's where I got to tell you, I'm just done.
05:14I'm tired.
05:15Yeah, at a certain point.
05:16I'm exhausted.
05:16I think it's insulting to me.
05:18It's insulting to my feelings and to Browns fans.
05:20I think it becomes wasted energy if that's a big part of the conversation that always comes
05:25back to.
05:26But part of it is I feel like he fuels it by just not doing the things like showing up
05:33day one with the new head coach and the new coaching staff.
05:36And I know I don't.
05:38I know we revisit that conversation.
05:40I realize that.
05:41But it just did also.
05:43It just didn't look good when Lamar Jackson did like that's just a thing that you get
05:48another thing on the checklist like, oh, their guy showed up.
05:51Our guy didn't like that just sucks for a certain element of the fan base.
05:54Some fans don't care at all.
05:55Whatever.
05:56They don't ever care about that kind of stuff to begin with.
05:58But it's just another rung of, hey, can this guy ever be the leader?
06:04He's also paid to be in addition to what he's paid to do on the field.
06:08Because it just does feel like he just never has his heart in that stuff for the Cleveland
06:13Browns.
06:14Should I put my thumb on this or should I owe it to you guys to discuss it when it
06:18is discussed
06:19on a national level?
06:20Just real quick to finish this up.
06:23I said I'm done with the Miles conversation.
06:26What's the percentages you believe me?
06:29Oh, I believe you 100%.
06:32Because 100%, I will fight my ass off to not have that conversation after the 645 segment
06:37we just had.
06:38Yeah, like I could tell, even in discussing the Mike Florio audio to play, Kenny was at
06:44wit's end.
06:44I'm a hemming and hawing and didn't like it.
06:47So I will fight it.
06:49You're telling me Wednesday before the draft when Adam Schefter tweets out, sources indicate
06:54to me that...
06:55That's Schefter.
06:56That's Schefter.
06:57But I'm saying is, if they're on first take or they're on breakfast ball or they're on
07:04Danny Parkins show or something like that, and somebody goes, you know what, this isn't
07:08a great draft, so they're going to cook up some sort of a trade and say, who says no?
07:12Like when they're talking about Jalen Hurts and his future with the Eagles.
07:15The best part was, I saw yesterday was Lamar Jackson, are we at the end of his prime with
07:21the Baltimore Ravens right now?
07:22Which I guess is something to consider.
07:24You're cooking up content.
07:25Well, the easiest content is trading the defensive player of the year two times over.
07:31I'm just not going to entertain it anymore.
07:33Because at some point, I got to look forward to the season.
07:35The season is with Miles Garrett.
07:37You don't think it's believable that they could trade him then?
07:42I don't think it's believable that they could?
07:44Are you saying?
07:45Well, anything's believable.
07:46It's Cleveland Browns.
07:47Well, then why won't you entertain these conversations?
07:50Because I think that they're just shouting into the wind.
07:52I don't think that the owner wants to trade him.
07:54See, now I am having the conversation.
07:55Damn it, I didn't want to.
07:56All right, well, I respect you enough.
07:58I'll have the conversation with you, and I'll have the conversation.
08:00I don't respect him as much as you, but I'll have the conversation with you.
08:04We'll power it to your respect on the show.
08:05I don't think the owner, I don't think Jimmy wants to trade him.
08:08I don't think Jimmy wants to trade him at all.
08:10And I don't think that Andrew wants to trade him.
08:12For a multitude of reasons we've already talked about, where you don't want to be known in
08:16NFL history on your Wikipedia page, long after you're dead, as the guy who traded for the
08:24worst possible, you made the worst possible trade in the world for a terrible quarterback
08:28that's played 19 games for you, that your own fan base doesn't want to see and blames you for it,
08:33being the spearhead of that, and you don't want to turn around and trade the best player of the generation
08:38defensively, and maybe by the time it's all done, the all-time leader in sacks.
08:43I don't think anybody wants that on their Wikipedia page, on their headstone, anywhere.
08:47You already got one of those knocks against you.
08:49You don't want the other.
08:50So he's going to do everything he can.
08:52If somebody comes in and there's a sourced thing, then yes, I guess I'll have to break
08:57the rule and I'll talk about it.
08:58I owe it to everybody to talk about it.
09:00But there's so many better conversations.
09:02I'd rather have conversations about Lonnie Chisinau and Chase DeLauter and the similarities
09:07in their play, their swing, the way they live their lives.
09:10I don't give a damn.
09:11I'd rather have those conversations.
09:12I'd rather sit there and talk about Jared Allen and whether or not he can give it a go and
09:17how well his knee is and bitching with Nick and Anthony about who hates the Cavs, who loves
09:23the Cavs, who hates who.
09:24I'd much rather have those conversations.
09:26I'd rather sit here and break down CeCe Malinoa and what he does right and what he does wrong
09:31because I just don't think that Myles Garrett is getting traded and I don't like messing
09:34with the emotions of the fan base like that because with Myles Garrett, it's like, hey,
09:39we might have some building blocks here.
09:41Without Myles Garrett, no, the season's done and you're already looking forward to the
09:452027 draft and the actual draft for this year is just less than two weeks away.
09:50You don't want to do that.
09:52That's where I am on.
