06 April - National evening forecast presented by Liam Eslick.
Transcript
00:00Hello there. It's been a quite pleasant day across the UK today and that is going to continue
00:05for the first half of the week. There are going to be some clear skies overnight tonight as well.
00:11The cloud that we saw across Northern Ireland and Western Scotland is going to melt away and they
00:15too will see some clearer skies. So we could see some mist and fog patches developing by the early
00:20hours of Tuesday morning but there is still going to be a bit of a breeze across the southwest here.
00:26So temperatures across the south and southwest will stay quite mild. So a few places staying in
00:31towards those double figures but elsewhere it will be a chilly start to Tuesday morning. We could even
00:37see a bit of a grass frost over the north and in some rural spots as well. But once that
00:43sun does
00:43come up any frost will melt away pretty quickly and temperatures will continue to rise as we head
00:49through the morning and into the afternoon. We do have this band of rain moving in towards the northwest
00:55through the afternoon. So the cloud will start to thicken and we could see some hazy sunshine
01:01mostly out towards the west and some outbreaks of rain across western Scotland here. But elsewhere
01:07there's going to be plenty of sunshine especially across the south and southeast. So once again it
01:12will be another warm day to come. Temperatures around 21 possibly even at 22 degrees. Even across
01:18Scotland we are getting up towards those high teens as well. Now as we go through the evening and through
01:25the overnight period this frontal system will slowly push its way eastwards through the day and it will
01:31start to turn a little bit drier across the west as well. It may still cling on to a bit
01:36of cloud
01:37across Scotland but once again some clearer skies across the south. So it will still be another chilly
01:43night to come but again still quite mild across the south. Around Portsmouth staying around at 10
01:49degrees by Wednesday morning. Now Wednesday is going to be much of the same. There's going to be plenty of
01:55sunshine around which again will allow those temperatures to climb through the day and is likely
02:01to be the warmest day of the year so far. There's still going to be some outbreaks of rain across
02:07western
02:07Scotland and some patchy cloud here and there. So again the skies may turn a little bit hazy especially
02:13across the west by the afternoon. The temperatures are the main headline again getting towards 23, 24.
02:20We could even see an isolated 25 possibly even 26 by the back end of the afternoon as well. So
02:27a pretty
02:27warm day to end the middle day of the week. But as we go through into Thursday and Friday things
02:34will
02:35start to change and start to become a little bit more unsettled as those temperatures start to drop away
02:40by the weekend. But for all the latest on that don't forget to head over towards our YouTube channel
02:45for all the latest. Bye bye.
