00:00Cost of war. As gas prices hit $4 a gallon, President Trump lashes out at U.S. allies for
00:06not doing more to help in the conflict with Iran, and he suggests that with the Strait of Hormuz
00:10closed, they should just go get their own oil. And an affidavit reveals new details about Tiger
00:16Woods' arrest after his crash last week in Florida, the pills found in his pocket, and the sobriety
00:23test that he failed after the accident. We're following these major developing stories and
00:28many more all coming in right here to CNN News Central. We have breaking news in the war with
00:32Iran. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth delivering an update for the first time in nearly two weeks.
00:38He did that this morning, saying that regime change has occurred in Iran. And while President
00:43Trump negotiates with words, Hegseth says the U.S. military will continue to, quote, negotiate with
00:48bombs until a deal happens. And he also left the door wide open for American troops on the ground
00:56in Iran. CNN's Natasha Bertrand is with us now. Natasha, what were the highlights from this?
01:01Yeah, there wasn't a ton of new information provided about the war itself and the objectives
01:06that have been achieved so far, but to shift responsibility to the U.S.'s allies, very much
01:11in line with what President Trump has been saying over the last few days. And he suggested that it
01:15wasn't actually a key objective of the U.S. as part of this war itself. So here's a way perhaps
01:19they
01:19might take or try to take Karg Island, which is in the Persian Gulf, a key export hub for Iranian
01:25crude. He, again, he was saying that the U.S. is now negotiating with a new set of actors, again,
01:31similar to something President Trump had said earlier in the week, saying that essentially they
01:35hope that these people are more reasonable. But it does seem like all signs are pointing right now
01:39to them wanting to get a deal. And what that looks like, of course, remains to be seen.
01:43Really high on the snark meter there for a U.S. ally. Natasha Bertrand, thank you so much for that
01:50report. Boris? Lethargic with bloodshot eyes. Some new details about golfing legend Tiger Woods'
01:56DUI arrest. Woods rolled his SUV after hitting another vehicle on Friday. Let's go straight to
02:02CNN's Isabel Rosales. Isabel, what are you learning? Well, we're expecting to get body camera,
02:08automatic misdemeanor, and a one-year license suspension. Now, we're going to hear more about
02:13this case. He has an arraignment scheduled for April 23rd. Guys. All right, Isabel,
02:18thank you for the latest there. Still ahead, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the next few days
02:23will, quote, be decisive in the war with Iran. We'll have the latest on the conflict next.
02:30President Trump unveiling plans for his presidential library, a skyscraper. You're featuring some of the
02:36greatest hits, so to speak, of Donald Trump's political life. We're following these major developing
02:41stories and many more all coming in right here to CNN News Central. Miami's skyline could be getting
02:47a big addition. President Trump sharing a video showing what his presidential library could look
02:51like. The library paying tribute to some of the key moments of the president's political life from
02:56his ride down the golden escalator to his fist bump after the fist pump, I should say, after the
03:022024 assassination attempt. CNN senior White House reporter Betsy Kline is following this story.
03:09Betsy, what could this library include? Well, Brianna, traditionally presidential libraries are a
03:15museum and a presidential library, so it appears this is far from imminent, but we'll be watching
03:21very closely, Brianna. And north of Miami in West Palm Beach, we're learning about something else named
03:27after President Trump. What can you tell us? Yeah, Governor Ron DeSantis, the U.S. Institute of
03:34Peace, the Trump coin, Trump Rx, the list goes on and on. And Florida Democrats are already raising
03:40concerns about whether the Trump family might stand to profit from this name change. A spokesperson for
03:46the Trump organization told CNN the Trump family won't receive any royalties or licensing fees from this
03:52name change. Brianna. Betsy Kline, thank you so much for that report for us from the White House.
03:57President Trump calling out American allies, saying those in need of fuel should go to the
04:01Strait of Hormuz and take it. We'll discuss that right after the break.
04:06States are ruling out tighter regulations for artificial intelligence companies against the
04:10president's wishes. California Governor Gavin Newsom just signed an executive order saying any AI firm
04:16that wants to do business there must provide safeguards that prevent misuse of their technology.
04:22Let's bring in CNN AI correspondent Hadass Gold. All right, Hadass, tell us what this order
04:28says. Yeah, so this executive order is being called the first of its kind to the Pentagon
04:32recently declaring Anthropic, a supply chain risk designation after they had a breakdown in
04:36negotiations over AI guardrails and the use of things like mass surveillance and autonomous weapons.
04:42And Gavin Newsom seems to address this potential clash with the Trump administration because if you
04:47remember back in December, President Trump signed an executive order saying that it's trying to
04:51restrict states from issuing their own AI regulations and laws, saying they don't want a patchwork of 50
04:57different types of policies. But Gavin Newsom is saying that Washington is designing...
05:01Why does Trump not want these regulations, Hadass?
05:05So the Trump administration has said and a lot of...
05:08Hadass Gold, thank you very much. Boris of CNN News Central starts right now.
05:13We begin with breaking news on the war with Iran. Just a short time ago, Defense Secretary...
05:19We have some breaking news. A federal judge says construction on President Trump's ballroom
05:24must stop. Kristen Holmes is lying.
