00:22and then womp womp combined for over 50 yards.
00:25What struck me was just the failures and execution.
00:28So here you got kind of a funky formation.
00:29That's Keaton Mitchell in the backfield.
00:31Watch out Engel.
00:32Whiff on the block.
00:33That's a tough matchup.
00:34But if he provides any resistance, you see the cutback lane is wide open there
00:38for Mitchell.
00:39Missed opportunity.
00:40Okay, we got Herbert under center.
00:41Watch the rookie center.
00:42Jake Slatter point at the mic.
00:44And then watch what happens.
00:46Tight end motions over into the B gap.
00:48Again, that Mike Lightmaker, he pointed through, runs unimpeded through the back.

00:54Someone screwed up.
00:55I think it's Slatter, even though he ID'd the mic beforehand.

01:01Again, we got a numbers advantage at the point of attack.
01:04However, again, an unimpeded backer.
01:06Quentin Johnston doesn't block anyone.
01:08Somebody screwed up.
01:09And then it ends up in the fumble.
01:11And what I want to emphasize here is all of these run plays should have been explosives.
01:16You had numbers advantage.
01:17You had grass.
01:18But on each one of them, somebody misses a block or misses an assignment.
01:21You saw that all day long with the L.A. Chargers.
01:23And I'll take the positive spin.
01:25When you go through that run tape, Joe Ault looked awesome.
01:28Didn't mention him there.
01:29Yeah.
01:29They're fine at the tackle positions.
01:31They need to clean up, get rid of some of those run-throughs.
01:33I want to go to an area in the passing game where I could see them pivot this week against
01:37the Raiders.
01:37And that's getting these tight ends more involved, specifically Arande Gadsden Jr.
01:41Because you can get some explosives.
01:43You're able to run a little ball out in the flat, too.
01:45And Joku, he can make you miss and get a first down.
01:48So, with Ladd McConkie not fully healthy, we'll see Ian says he might play in this game.
01:53But I think the tight ends become more involved.
01:55Absolutely see that.
01:56Tight ends should be the strength of this team.
01:58I mean, we expected them to come out with this play-action passing attack, throw to them a lot.
02:02So many missed opportunities.
02:04It actually felt, though, upon revisiting, like you said, they're so close to being explosive.

02:5312 personnel, honor center, condensed form, made that condensed formation against so much
02:56grass on that side of the field.
02:58He gets an explosive off of little screen.
03:00It's a fantastic play call, by the way, against the nickel blitz.
03:03That screen went for a huge play.
03:04Good stuff, because you know what?
03:05When the run game is working, Mina, everything should work, right?
03:09And that's why they do this.
03:11They hand the ball off to King Henry.
03:13Here it is.
03:13Now he's third in rushing touchdowns in a career with 125.
03:18King Henry is unbelievable.
03:19That's what makes this offense go for this guy right here.

03:24You saw exactly what you hoped for when you hired this guy from Chicago.

03:38Around the league, everybody wants to get under center.
03:40Everybody wants play action.
03:41They're hunting explosive plays.
03:43Do we see more of that?
03:44The Bengals dipped their toe in the water last week.

03:47I think we do.
03:48We've been hearing from this from the Bengals all summer.
03:50You saw Joe Burrow rep it a lot in the preseason when he played.
03:53Then, as Rich said, they come out.
03:54Some Texans defense in particular.
03:55The reason why the Bengals wanted Joe Burrow under center more is they believe, and I'm
03:59in agreement, it allows him to get more explosive, creating those voids in coverage, buying him
04:04time.
04:04You just saw a Bills offense that is a very under center play action-centric attack go
04:10downfield against this Texans defense, which counterintuitively, I believe, is the way you
04:15want to attack them because they tackle so well.
04:18They've got the receivers to attack downfield.
04:20They just need to find a way to buy Joe time against that four-man rush.
04:24I'd also keep an eye on them in the screen game from under center because this Houston
04:28defense is upset as they were with the way things went last week.
04:31Those edge rushers are going to be flying up the field.
04:33Maybe it's a back.
04:34Maybe it's a tight end.
04:35But I can see them getting the screen game going as well.
04:37So, under center for the Bengals, something to keep an eye on, Rich.
