00:32there are changes both inside and outside of the arena. CNN's Shimon Prokypez is there outside of
00:38Madison Square Garden in New York. Shimon, how's it looking right now and what are officials talking
00:43about when they say the different things we should expect here? Big difference here but
00:50you know I had to do that Brie. I know you did. But I think for but I think for
00:56fans um committed
00:57people so I have faith that that is going to happen and speaking of commitment is a watching that close
01:03close close close close game I thought you know Shimon he committed to the bit he's got the nails done
01:09I didn't it is it's that I didn't show up and Shimon did uh but but talking about the uh

02:11so still to come we have some we're following the fallout after Israel and Iran traded fire for the
02:16first time since the start of their ceasefire on April 8th both Iran and Israel now say that their
02:22military strikes on each other are suspended and with that news uh oil prices which are spiking are
02:28easing this afternoon still the Strait of Hormuz remains paralyzed with minimal traffic getting
02:34through CNN's Matt Egan is strike stop but what's next Iran and Israel halt their attacks on each
02:40other but will a truce hold and tapping out a lawsuit seeks to shut down the upcoming UFC fight
02:46at the White House and it accuses the president of personally benefiting from the match and outrage
02:52we're following new warnings from Iran and Israel after they traded their worst strikes in months
02:57President Trump stepping in multiple times here's a quick recap less than 24 hours ago a U.S.
03:03official says President Trump urged Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to not retaliate after Iran
03:09unleashed a barrage of missiles but Israel did strike back and then overnight Iran responded again
03:15hours later this morning President Trump demanding both Iran and Israel stop shooting officials telling
03:21CNN the president spoke with Netanyahu a second time and a short time after that Iran suspended its
03:26operation against Israel but warned Israel not to strike Lebanon according to Lebanese state media
03:32though an Israeli strike hit less than an hour after that warning and while Netanyahu has said that he
03:38now has agreed to not strike Iran Israeli sources say strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon will
03:44continue still President Trump insists a peace deal is close we're joined now by CNN political and global
03:50affairs analyst Barack Ravid Barack tell us what you're learning about this second phone call between Trump
03:57and Netanyahu today and also just more broadly about their relationship
04:03that Iran welcomes how is the IRGC seeing this current moment do you think
04:10so I think that at the end of the day I think what the Iranians saw from this incident or
04:17from that
04:17would be a critical question Barack Ravid thank you so much really appreciate it Boris
04:23President Trump's attendance at the NBA finals tonight in New York will be a first for a sitting
04:28president and it creates a big challenge for the secret service and security personnel charged with
04:33keeping the president safe in an arena that seats nearly 20,000 people we're joined now by in the secret
04:39service with the NBA Robert just give us a sense of the magnitude of these security challenges
04:45with this event tonight well good afternoon Brianna nice to be back with you yes ongoing war in Iran
04:52there were six people who were injured in a stabbing at Penn Station last night for which for you know
04:57a lot
04:57of people if they haven't been there that is right underneath Madison Square Garden there's a planned watch
05:02party outside of Madison Square Garden that's been scrapped because of security requirements and there's
05:06no doubt fans who will not have tickets who like it many sporting events may try to get close how
05:14does
05:15secret service how do these partner agencies deal with all of these different things
05:21well thankfully we're in an area of New York the White House Correspondents
05:24Center assassination attempt need to be incorporated tonight
05:29well I think you're going to see that based upon that information and what happened
05:32questions concerns that you raise about what happened there at the White House Correspondents
05:38Center so many factors that did not play out but had they could have been a very different story
05:43and that has to inform other events Robert McDonald we thank you so much for your expertise
05:48and still to come Israel and Iran have de-escalated attacks against each other today after exchanging
05:53some of their worst strikes in months CNN's Fred Pleitkin was in Tehran as the missile attacks were
05:59happening and we do want to note that CNN operates in Iran only with the permission of the government
06:04but maintains full editorial control of its reports
06:08backing down after backlash the Pentagon has just updated its list of recognized religious
06:14affiliations for service members after it removed the Christian designation from several faiths
06:20including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints several Mormon lawmakers had blasted the move
06:26including staunch Trump ally Senator Mike Lee CNN's hailing warnings after Iran and Israel exchange
06:32strikes both sides stand down but not without threats that more strikes could come zone defense
06:39President Trump heading to New York tonight to watch the NBA finals the Secret Service and other
06:44agencies are stepping up their game to keep everyone safe and the final hour before access around
06:51New York's Madison Square Garden is sharply restricted and that is because this is a lockdown that's part
06:57of an extensive security operation surrounding game three of the NBA finals between the New York Knicks
07:03and the San Antonio Spurs and President Trump's attendance is prompting this heightened security both
07:08inside and outside the arena so unless you've got a game ticket or you have some business inside the
07:14secure zone you are being told to stay away at this point I can't wait because it's been so long
07:21since
07:22the Knicks were in this position that it was much more trendy to have a tighter uniform you know tighter
07:28jersey so everyone's going to be wearing their very tight jerseys cannot wait Shimon all right Shimon
07:34we'll keep checking in with you we'll keep monitoring the scene there still to come we have much more news
07:40news it could send beef prices even higher a second case of a flesh-eating parasite so sorry about
07:46this story folks but it continues it's been detected in cattle in South Texas plus a CNN exclusive
07:52scientists at the EPA say they're under political pressure to change safety reviews of chemicals commonly
07:57found in household products and then later how this year's men's French Open winner ended years of
08:03frustration finally becoming a Grand Slam champion we'll have that and much more coming up on CNN News Central
08:10introducing your baby to solid foods is a big step for new parents and for the longest time experts
08:15advise them to keep things like eggs away from babies because of concerns about allergies but that
08:21advice has evolved and experts say the results are positive let's talk more about this now a CNN
08:25health reporter Jacqueline Howard all right Jacqueline tell us more about this
08:31yeah Brianna so in a new study we now see oh yeah Brianna the scientists say that the findings seem
08:38to
08:39mirror what we also see here in the United States and it's reassuring to see that the guidelines are
08:45working and it's safe to introduce these foods around six months of age because for parents when
08:50you introduce solids for the first time that can be a nerve-wracking experience I mean Brianna as a
08:57mother I'm curious to hear what your experience was like when you introduce solids to your youngest for
09:02the first time yeah I mean I remember just being kind of nervous and the guidelines are helpful
09:08because you know that you're doing it right but it's also helpful to tell you it's important to
09:13introduce these particular foods like I remember being specific about okay we have to do the eggs and
09:19we have to get the peanut butter introduced because we can then make sure that we're reducing the allergies
09:25later which can be that can be such a scary thing the idea that your child has an allergy and
09:30for those
09:31of us who know people with kids who do have those that is really scary Jacqueline it's certainly very
09:35scary so what's the impact for other foods oh absolutely yeah it is might be ready but as always with
09:43anything Brianna talk with your pediatrician so you both kind of come to the right game plan
09:47yeah I'm having like flashbacks now too chopped up hard-boiled eggs and those peanut puffs and stuff
09:53you're bringing that back with the story Jacqueline Howard thank you so much still to come we are
09:59learning some new details about how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing
10:04significant retaliatory strikes against Iran before a phone call with President Trump we'll have more
10:09when we come back in California the votes are still being counted in some of the marquee primary
10:15races two of the biggest ones the governor's race the LA mayoral contest but with President Trump
