00:00Comment send off. President Trump's meeting with Xi Jinping wraps up, but with no major deals
00:04announced. So what did the president actually achieve during his discussions with the Chinese
00:09leader? And CNN exclusive reporting on the consequences of the immigration crackdown,
00:14how a lack of medical care is leading to a record number of deaths inside overcrowded
00:20immigration facilities. President Trump leaving Beijing and leaving world leaders guessing on
00:26two critical issues. After two days of talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, the president taking
00:31questions on Air Force One, refusing to share whether he would defend Taiwan if the Chinese
00:36invaded the island. His answer, I don't want to say. And he's tight-lipped when it comes to the
00:42$14 billion worth of U.S. weapons that China does not want Taiwan to have. Questions on the war with
00:49Iran. President Trump saying he did not ask President Xi to help him reopen the Strait of Hormuz,
00:54but added, I think he will. Just a short time ago, China's foreign minister weighed in saying,
00:59quote, China encourages both the U.S. and Iran to continue resolving their differences,
01:04adding that China advocates for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened as soon as possible.
01:09CNN's Julia Benbrook is live for us at the White House. Julia, what else is President Trump saying?
01:17Well, taking a step back here, Brianna, it was examples of that alignment. In an interview
01:22with Fox News, he did say that he believed that she wanted to help resolve this conflict and that
01:29he had pledged not to provide Iran with military equipment. Now, in a separate interview,
01:36and the president also said he and she made fantastic trade deals. Julia,
01:41what are we learning as far as specifics?
01:44That is what he's saying. Fantastic trade deals, but the specifics are scarce. He is not really
01:50for this meeting. Brianna? Definitely. Julia Benbrook, thank you. Boris?
01:56Heading home with some unresolved issues. Moments after leaving Beijing, President Trump spoke with
02:02reporters stoking even more uncertainty about the future of Taiwan and the Iran war. After two days
02:08of talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, President Trump won't say whether or not he'll sign off
02:13on a critical arms deal with Taiwan. President Xi warning if the U.S. handles this poorly, it could
02:18lead to a clash. And as for Iran, there have been hopes that pressure from China could break the
02:23stalemate between Washington and Tehran. And while it's unclear how President Xi might be willing to
02:28get involved, President Trump says Iran's latest counterproposal is a no-go for him.
02:34Treen is live for us at the White House. Elena?
02:38Yeah, look, I think this was a very high stakes trip, Brianna, but it was...
02:44He didn't make a commitment either way regarding the independence of Taiwan. I would be clear here
02:49that, of course, there's just been this strategic ambiguity that the U.S. and several of the
02:55president's predecessors have had for years now as it relates to that, you know, showing support
03:01for Taiwan, while also not going as so far to say that perhaps the U.S. would defend it
03:06against a potential Chinese attack. So the president kind of doing that, but I think offering
03:12no real clarity on the arms deal, again, something I don't think goes far to raise the confidence of
03:18those in Taiwan who are watching this trip, we know, very carefully.
03:23All right, Elena Treen, thank you. Boris?
03:25Let's dig...
03:26Andrew Nixon, a spokesman at Health and Human Services, told CNN, quote,
03:31also uncovered Christine denying the defeat of Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
03:372000 Mules is the debunked election fraud conspiracy film whose distributor later issued
03:43an apology and removed it from circulation. We're joined now by Dr. Deb Howard.
03:48We do a breaking news. A judge has declared a mistrial in Harvey Weinstein's rape retrial after
03:53the jury says it's deadlocked. The majority male jury had been weighing whether Weinstein raped a
03:58hairstylist and actress back in 2013. We have some breaking news into CNN. Sources telling us that
04:05hackers have breached critical systems that monitor fuel storage tanks at gas stations in multiple
04:11states, and officials believe Iran is behind these cyber attacks. CNN, do you know about this?
04:17Yeah, this is just coming out, Brianna. Iran has a... Iran is a leading suspect based on their history
04:23and based on the situation they're in right now in the war. And they don't have enough information right now
04:28to definitively blame Iran. However, it does fit in with Iran's history of doing this sort of thing.
04:34And it's a safety concern. Like, why would they do this other than to kind of fool gas station owners
04:39into thinking, oh, I don't need that much more gas?
04:42They were... I don't want to give them ideas, but it could escalate...
04:47Important reporting. Sean, thank you so much. Boris?
04:50A future filled with self-driving cars may be a little delayed. Droves of...
04:55There's still a lot to dissect after two days of meetings in Beijing between President Trump
05:01and Xi Jinping. We're joined now...
05:04...video of the aftermath of a new Israeli strike. With his trip to Asia in the rearview mirror,
05:09President Trump is now setting his sights on the nation's 250th birthday.
05:13He just announced some new details on a big project commemorating it, and that is the National Garden
05:18of American Heroes, which is supposed to feature 250 life-size statues of American greats like
05:25Kobe Bryant and Amelia Earhart. But we know where it's going to be. We just don't know when it's going
05:32to open and a lot of other details. We have CNN Washington. We don't know where it is. Is that
05:36right?
05:36Well, it was just announced today, and this was expected. We have long been reporting that it
05:41likely will be West Potomac. And then add the additional statues along the way. But now there's
05:46been serious questions whether at least even one statue will be in place in July given the fact that
05:52we're now just a few months before they're just choosing the location. Are people going to play
05:57volleyball and cricket? Good question. We don't know.
05:59We're taking on AI. Hear his warnings about the dangers of artificial intelligence
06:04when it comes to faith. Next, you're watching CNN News Central.
