00:32Antros, Star Fox Adventures
00:44For what it is, Star Fox Adventures is a solid game. It isn't what we wanted after Star Fox 64,
00:50but it's still a fairly good action-adventure game. However, the final fight against Andros left
00:57players extremely disappointed and even a tad irritated. Right when you're about to defeat
01:07General Scales, Andros appears out of nowhere and reveals he's been the mastermind the entire time.
01:13What follows is… basically the same exact fight from Star Fox 64. This rehash of an old villain with
01:21absolutely no hint to his possible resurrection in the game caused many to dismiss adventures for
01:26several long years. Alpha 152, Dead or Alive 4
01:49Dead or Alive 4 is such an awesome game, probably the best fighting game to ever grace the Xbox 360.
01:56The
01:56thing is that it is sometimes really hard to say that, knowing that the majority of the characters
02:03and their stories fighting Alpha 152. This boss is infamous for her comically easy combos, combos that
02:18can be performed by mashing the same button over and over again. She lands so many hits and deals so
02:26much damage for very little effort that it is infuriating. So, when you hear someone say how Dead
02:33Alive 4 is the best, they're probably talking about the multiplayer, and only the multiplayer.
02:46The Arkham Knight. Batman Arkham Knight.
02:50Alfred, raise the bridges. He's not getting off Bleak Eye.
02:54You sure sir? Get the Batwing to scan the Cloudburst. Find a weakness. I'll take out the Cobra Tanks on
02:59guard.
03:00There are a lot of reasons to scrutinize Arkham Knight. Be it the Bat Tank segments, the overwhelming
03:06combat mechanics, or the dumb plot twist behind the Arkham Knight himself. Everyone has their boogeyman
03:11with this game. But really, the fight against the Arkham Knight was what really burned people.
03:23This dude spends all game calling Batman old. You're old, old man. Old. And acting like a
03:30hotshot just to come at him with a dumb tank. And he still needs help from other smaller tanks. Nothing
03:38about this final bout feels exciting. It feels more like we're fighting a true coward.
03:51The Destroyer. Borderlands.
04:02Whereas most RPGs will run you about 60 to maybe 100 hours of playtime, Borderlands isn't anywhere close to that.
04:09You can easily beat it in about a week, maybe two if you want to see and do everything.
04:14But the way it all ends with the Destroyer is just a massive stain on the campaign.
04:28You've done all this exploring and hunting for the Legendary Vault, and it's just a tentacled monster capable of doing
04:36only a couple of attacks?
04:38We basically got rewarded with a boring boss fight for all of the time spent wandering Pandora. Thanks, Gearbox.
04:52The Ghost of Lady Comstock. Bioshock Infinite.
05:06Say what you will about Infinite, but overall, it's a really great game. Do we want to replay it after
05:12the first time though?
05:13Well, maybe until the point where you get to fight Lady Comstock's Ghost. This is one of the most notorious
05:19boss fights of the 2010s because of how repetitive and difficult she can be.
05:31Most of your time will be spent reviving allies and desperately searching for any shred of ammunition.
05:37That, coupled with some nonsense attacks where her ghost just gets guaranteed hits on you, and you've got a boss
05:43fight that we'd rather not ever face ever again.
05:46What?
05:53Alice Hiragi. Persona 5 Strikers.
05:57Oh my! I'm late for a very important date! Come along! Come along! I have such wonders to show you!
06:05Persona 5 Strikers is absolutely one of the coolest Musou games Koei Tecmo has ever released. It perfectly combines the
06:13concepts of Persona 5 and adapts them into a difficult action RPG.
06:18Unfortunately, there is one crucial mechanic that isn't introduced until after you defeat the first boss of the game, Alice
06:25Hiragi.
06:35Both during this boss fight and probably even fights before, you will constantly feel like you're running low on SP.
06:42You don't get access to a decent amount of SP recovery items until after you defeat Alice. On top of
06:48that, she hits so hard that you're likely to lose two or three of your party members early on and
06:54might have to solo her with On.
07:04The Lambent Brumac. Gears of War 2.
07:14Out of the original trilogy, Gears of War 2 is perhaps the best game of the three, but this is
07:20another situation that's like Andross in Star Fox Adventures,
07:23where it feels like no one knew how to properly end the game.
07:27So what we got here was not a massive horde to fight or even some superpowered bro dude with locust
07:32powers or whatever.
07:34No, the fight against Lambent Brumac is a freaking turret section.
07:51Just sit and keep shooting until it's dead. What fun!
08:02Fun!
08:06Barret, Deus Ex, Human Revolution.
08:17Unlike most of our entries here, Barret doesn't get a spot because he's too hard or switches up the story
08:23unexpectedly.
08:24Instead, he's the prime example of just how flawed Human Revolution is.
08:30See, unlike the older entries that catered to your playstyle, Human Revolution is primarily built around one particular playstyle,
08:38yet has moments specifically catered to a completely different playstyle.
08:48Basically, conflicting and contradicting design decisions were made here.
08:53And with Barret, if you haven't primarily focused on stealth or hacking, you're gonna have a bad time here.
08:59Tell him Barret sent you straight to hell!
09:06Lucien Fairfax, Fable 2.
09:09I let the bloodline flourish. And you have flourished.
09:15If you thought a turret section was god-awful, how about the final boss of Fable 2?
09:20By this point, Lucien has the power to, in his words, bring an end to chaos.
09:27How do you suppose you stop him?
09:29Do you duel him?
09:31Do you cast a spell on him?
09:33Do you kick him like the chicken chaser you are?
09:37Do you consider that a victory?
09:40No!
09:41You just fight back his spell until he loses all control, and then you shoot him in the face.
09:47That's it.
09:48That's the end of Fable 2.
09:50Congratulations!
09:50You beat the game!
09:52Hooray!
09:53Do you feel like a hero?
09:55No, Lionhead.
09:56No, I don't.
09:59And lastly, Alduin.
10:02The Elder Scrolls V. Skyrim.
10:11Imagine spending hundreds of hours exploring the vast region of Skyrim.
10:16You've done all the quests.
10:18You've found all the secrets.
10:19You've learned all the dragon shouts.
10:21You've even attained sneak 100.
10:23Time to fight the final boss.
10:34Well, you know all those dragons you fought already?
10:37Yeah, you're basically going to do that.
10:39Again.
10:40And no, he doesn't do anything different than the other dragons.
10:44Don't get it twisted.
10:45Skyrim is still one of the best games ever made, but ending the game with Alduin was not
10:50it, dude.
10:51It doesn't help that you can just bully this guy with Dragonrend.
