00:00You are now by yourself, standing in a dark room.
00:03The pungent stench of mildew emanates from the wet dungeon walls.
00:07Where are the Cheetos?
00:09Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're getting to the end
00:12and seeing if there's anything left to squeeze out of an experience.
00:14These are 10 things hidden in the end credits of games.
00:17Let's go.
00:18Before we continue, we publish content all week long,

00:27True Pacifist Credits Undertale
00:33Reaching the true pacifist ending in Undertale
00:35unlocks one final challenge that plenty of players don't even realise exists.
00:39Doing the credits, you're back in control of your little heart-shaped soul
00:42weaving between projectiles just like you do during battles.
00:44This time though, the attacks come from the names of the game's Kickstarter backers,
00:48all flying across the screen trying to ruin your perfect run.
00:51You have unlimited health, but there's a catch.
00:54Getting hit even once means you won't earn the secret reward.
00:57Dodge every single name without making a mistake,
01:00and the mysterious locked door in Snowden Forest finally opens.
01:03What's inside, well, discover it yourself, or look it up online.
01:14The Joker sings to Batman, Batman Arkham City.
01:18Call received three hours ago.
01:20Most people finish a game and instinctively skip the credits,
01:23but Batman Arkham City rewards anyone patient enough to stick around.
01:26For the first couple of minutes, there's absolutely nothing unusual.
01:29It's just a standard black screen with white text scrolling by,
01:32making it seem perfectly safe to wander off for a snack or a bathroom break.
01:36Then, out of nowhere, everything changes.
01:38The silence is interrupted by a pre-recorded message from the Joker,
01:42left shortly before the events of the ending.
01:44He launches into a wonderfully unhinged performance of only you and you alone,
01:49somehow making the creepy love song feel oddly fitting.
01:52It's a hilarious surprise that also adds another layer of Batman-Joker bizarre relationship energy
01:57while making it very easy to picture Mark Hamill having far too much fun recording it.
02:04Only you can make this change in me.
02:11Blackjack Final Fantasy IX
02:19Most hidden extras tucked away in a game's credits have at least something to do with the story or the
02:23characters.
02:24Then, there's Final Fantasy IX,
02:26which apparently decided the best reward for watching the credits was a game of blackjack.
02:30After the end appears,
02:32players can enter a lengthy button combination that unlocks a fully playable card game against the CPU.
02:37It's one of the strangest post-credits secrets Square ever slipped into a game,
02:41and it catches almost everyone by surprise.
02:43Some fans think it's a nod to the blackjack airship from Final Fantasy VI,
02:47while others believe a developer simply thought,
02:49you know what this RPG needs?
02:51Gambling.
02:52Honestly, either explanation sounds equally believable.
03:00The True Ending Nier Automata
03:08If you've played a Nier game before,
03:10you know the credits are rarely the finish line.
03:13In Nier Automata,
03:14the biggest surprise arrives after unlocking both endings C and D.
03:18As the credits begin once again,
03:20Pod 153 interrupts the role with a strange message about corrupted data and asks if you'd like to investigate.
03:26A Green kicks off one of the game's most memorable moments,
03:28a brutal bullet-held battle fought against the credits themselves.
03:32You're expected to fail over and over,
03:35but after enough defeats, other players can come to your rescue.
03:38Those helpers only exist because they willingly erase their own save files to assist strangers.
03:44Once you finally succeed, you're offered the same heartbreaking choice.
03:47Sacrifice your own progress so someone else has a better chance.
03:51Nah, I'm good.
03:57Kingdom Hearts 3T is Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance.
04:01Are we gonna be okay?
04:04Yeah, I won't be long.
04:06Leave it to a Kingdom Hearts game to hide one last secret after you've already reached the credits.
04:10Maybe they'll unpack hours of lore that you need to understand the main entries.
04:14Probably.
04:15Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance appears to end normally,
04:18but then Control suddenly shifts back to Sora,
04:20now wearing his outfit from Kingdom Hearts 2.
04:23As he dives through the credits, you'll notice certain letters glowing gold.
04:26Flying through each one gradually reveals the words,
04:29Secret Message Unlocked.
04:31Just when you think that's the end of it, another wave of credits begin,
04:34this time with Disney characters carrying giant blue letters across the screen.
04:38Piece them together and they spell out,
04:39this leads to Kingdom Hearts 3,
04:41a clever little teaser that had fans losing their mind
04:45long before the sequel was officially in players' hands.
04:57Virgil takes on Mundus, Devil May Cry 3, Dante's Awakening.
05:01We're gonna be busy for a while.
05:06Well, bring it on.
05:08The playable credits in Devil May Cry 3 are already a pretty awesome idea,
05:12letting you keep slicing through demons while the staff roll appears.
05:15What many players miss, though, is the kill counter sitting quietly in the corner of the screen.
05:19It's not just there to make you feel good about your combo count,
05:22it actually unlocks a hidden reward.
05:24Defeat 100 enemies before the credits finish,
05:27which means keeping up an incredibly fast pace for several minutes,
05:29and you'll earn an exclusive ending scene.
05:32The bonus cinematic shows Virgil awakening in the demon world
05:35before fearlessly charging towards Mundus for one final confrontation.
05:40So angsty.
05:41I love it.
05:51Keep playing the game Fable
06:00These days, finishing an open-world game
06:02usually means you can jump straight back into the world afterwards without thinking twice.
06:06Back in 2004, Fable had a much cheekier approach.
06:10If you mashed the skip button the moment the credits started,
06:13the game would kick you all the way back to the main menu.
06:15Want to keep exploring after the ending?
06:17Tough luck, you'd have to reload your last save,
06:19defeat the final boss again,
06:20and this time actually sit through the full 10-minute credits.
06:23Only then would the game place you back into Albion to continue your adventure.
06:27It was a sneaky little trick from Lionhead Studios,
06:30gently punishing impatient players
06:32while encouraging everyone to appreciate the people who made the game.
06:36Goddammit, I hate appreciating.
06:39The Dungeons & Dragons skit, Summoner.
06:42You are now by yourself, standing in a dark room.
06:45The pungent stench of mildew emanates from the wet dungeon walls.
06:50Where are the cheetos?
06:51Summoner hides one of gaming's strangest credits secrets,
06:54and it's an absolute treat for anyone who enjoys tabletop RPGs.
06:58I'll step out for a moment.
06:59If you watch the credits from the main menu and press X while they're rolling,
07:02the game suddenly plays a fully animated version of the legendary Dead Alewives Dungeons & Dragons comedy sketch.
07:08Written by future community and Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon,
07:11the 1996 performance hilariously poked fun at the moral panic surrounding Dungeons & Dragons during the 1980s.
07:18Summoner even recreates the skit using protagonist Joseph alongside a character from Red Faction.
07:23It's a wonderfully bizarre easter egg that feels completely random.
07:26A brown tunic, and he has grey hair and blue eyes.
07:31No, I don't.
07:31I have grey eyes.
07:33A trophy, Sonic Colors.
07:34I knew all along we'd find a way to communicate.
07:40Sometimes the best incentive is a shiny trophy,
07:43and Sonic Colors knows exactly how to tempt Achievement Hunters.
07:45Instead of hiding an elaborate secret behind its lengthy credits,
07:48the game simply rewards anyone patient enough to let the entire 15-minute sequence play.
07:53Stick around until the very end,
07:54and you'll unlock the perfectly named trophy,
07:57giving credit what credits do.
07:58You don't even have to sit there staring at the screen the whole time, either.
08:01While the credits roll,
08:02Sonic is still fully playable,
08:04allowing you to jump, spin,
08:05and smash your way through the names and collect rings for fun.
08:08It's literally impossible to get bored.
08:10Just chill out for two minutes and put down your f***ing phone.
08:18Invisible Tetris, Tetris the Absolute, the Grandmaster 2,
08:21and Tetris the Grandmaster 3, Terror Instinct.
08:28Most games celebrate your victory with a cutscene or a few extra goodies.
08:33Tetris the Grandmaster 2 and Tetris the Grandmaster 3 decide to congratulate you
08:37by making the game even more ridiculous.
08:39If you somehow reach level 999
08:41and clear one of the toughest versions of Tetris ever created,
08:45the credits begin to roll.
08:46But, so does another game.
08:48This isn't normal Tetris either.
08:50The Tetromino bottom layer begins to raise as the credits scroll.
08:54It's an unbelievably brutal challenge
08:56that only the most dedicated players would even attempt.
09:00And an even smaller group has actually managed to conquer.
09:02Oh man!
