00:38he's trending in the right way it's crunch time as far as his championship i believe ken roxon has
00:43a great opportunity to change that fifth into a first place here today but he's going to start
00:47right now with his gate well chase x and not having the afternoon he would have hoped for but it

00:53comes down to first lap positioning i believe he did a great job in nashville overcoming a bad start
00:58riding his leg back up to fourth but that detroit round he started up front finished on the podium
01:04so i think that is the key to unlocking a good finish for chase sexton get up where you belong
01:09and i think he can stay there
01:13well opportunity is for everybody here tonight triple crown and with the inclement weather that
01:18we've had but maybe for this man here cooper webb more so before the rain started when the conditions
01:23were a lot dry earlier on today he was riding absolutely fantastic as we know he's just
01:28become a dad for the third time here to his little daughter rebby and he would like nothing more than
01:33to cap off this afternoon here in cleveland with another win in a triple crown race one rider who really
01:40intrigued me in that first race was red ball ktm's jorge prado he was up there in the top five
01:46and putting on
01:47a tremendous scrap with malcolm stewart and then he just disappeared he went from top five to finishing
01:5514th it was a very strange race this guy here who is in his own words is learning more and

02:02supercross with each and every race weekend that he does that was very surprising for him so let's see
02:08what the spaniel can do in this second race we know as ricky mentioned earlier he is a master at

02:13whole shot with five this season the same as under lawrence and and i feel like these wetter conditions
02:20certainly would help his cause like growing up in europe racing the you know gps over there

05:16believe if i'm hunter lawrence i'm just gonna let this race kind of what we saw at cole davies
05:21after a few laps just let his race come to you just methodically make your way up as he tries

05:26up the inside of my brother keep an eye on that 94 see where he's at and i think that'll

05:31hunter's race as far as how aggressive he would be trying to chase these guys down james let me ask

05:35this so like in a situation like that now you would know better than anybody so if malcolm knows
05:41what's at stake with the 96 and the 94 like is he gonna put up a massive fight because obviously
05:48you don't want to mess their chances up like what no absolutely not especially with the track being
05:53like it is now it'd be very easy for malcolm just to lose the front end and get into hunter
05:58and none of
05:59these guys want to do that so especially the conditions i think they'll be playing it extra nice now
06:04cooper webb and these other guys you know they'll try to stay out of it i think they'll they'll continue
06:09to race because the lead's right in front of them roxon is looking racy he was taking the fight there
06:15to cooper webb almost tagged his rear wheel and ended up unfortunately losing some ground to the
06:21monster angie star racer really like to see what kenny can do here i think myself personally would be it
06:29be important for kenny to have a good showing and at least be on the podium that's going to help

07:34stayed on the inside of those ruts it's going to make it difficult for kenny to you know he's got
07:39to pay attention to that because we know how cooper likes to go low down these uh insides in these
07:43bowl corners stays really low yeah his sense of where his competitors are at and guarding on that
07:50is some of the best that i've ever seen still about a two second gap between race leader justin cooper
07:57and chase sexton cooper webb is doing his best to try and eat into that delta to sexton but he's
08:05hanging top with less than seven minutes plus a lap to go yeah i believe with cooper he him and
08:10he'll
08:11make his way up to chase really easy i think what was happening cooper started right behind him because
08:15ken roxton was there allowed chase to have that gap but as long as cooper's clean he'll make that uh
08:20that gap up pretty quick i like that line that chase sexton is doing coming out of that the corner
08:27before like the stadium double is he's wheel tapping almost wheel tapping and tripling he's
08:33getting a good drive out of there where a lot of guys are just going double single he's making up

08:37lot of time there here goes kenny through the wolves look at that speed incredible yeah what happened there
08:44cooper he didn't get that run out of that inside so what we're talking about he was losing that time
08:49coming out of the corner he's really slow and then he didn't get the run going through the wolves
08:52easy pass for ken roxton i can tell you this race isn't over cooper's trying to fight for this win
08:58and still in his mind he has the opportunity for this championship and kenny is fighting for every
09:03position too because it means he can take more points off hunter lawrence because lawrence is behind
09:08both these guys watch this inside from cooper webb he was nice to him slides in there yeah he's a

09:16too far back i think what he was trying to do was maybe scare kenny so kenny would maybe back

09:22the only problem and i think we talked about this last week you're going to make an attempt to pass
09:27you you got to make it happen otherwise you just lose so much time kenny going for it right here
09:33you can see the aggression this will be the first time in a long time in this race that sexton

09:40heard another bike that close to him so he'll know the pressure's coming he won't know yet who it is
09:45but it's going to be roxon buying for that second spot meanwhile hunter lawrence is back in fifth
09:50so there's points to be grabbed there this championship is still way alive and roxon

10:31were surprised by his post-race uh statements about the perils of the track and the conditions
10:38that's clearly out of his mind now will roxon's riding great he is lee and that's where my brain
10:44was going with this because when i spoke to billy hartle the mechanic coach ken roxon said to her hey
10:49how does ken feel about this weather potentially coming in this is brand even started he said i'm not
10:55too happy about it because i gotta fix the bike up he said but put it this way if it

11:00he's fine with it he's fine with it so what is it james and ricky for him it's this track

11:07wet it's not super muddy it's not super rutted so what is it that's playing into his hands so well
11:11well what's playing in his hands it's number four going around them on the outside but i think what it
11:16is is you know the race slows it slowed down quite a bit from that first one and i think
11:21the speed with
11:22the track breaking down they were still going really fast but it was a lot of ruts and that's what
11:25kenny
11:26was mentioning it on the podium that it was pretty sketchy to him now i think the track is slowing
11:30down
11:30so even though it's gotten more rutted the pace is slower so maybe it's not bothering him that much
11:36and it's making him more comfortable well i have that too but i also think as it gets slick and

11:41slows down i think kenny is really good he's good everywhere but he really shines when you need
11:47throttle control and i think that bike works really well also it complements his riding style look who's
11:53coming into the picture look to the right cooper whip has re-entered the conversation there he is
11:58right there and you just wonder if kenny getting a little sideways that last lap to the whoops now
12:02he's starting to ride a little bit more reserved sometimes he's had and riders have a tendency to do
12:07that yeah no and you go back to what he said on the podium in the first race he was
12:12closing in on
12:13hunter and something must have happened where he started backing it down he might be in that same spot
12:17right now problem with him is that the number one smells that blood love this drone footage right
12:23here you can really see the different lines that the riders are taking cooper's found some really
12:29good lines on the inside next corner like he's going to stay low here keep that inside but watch this
12:36next one he'll double to the inside and then double out of this kenny doesn't watch out the next lap

12:43going to get past by the number one big thanks to our production men and women both inside and out
12:48who are handling these conditions temperatures dropped dramatically wind increased still drizzling a
12:54little as well jt what you got well just thinking about how important these passes are because right
13:00now ken roxson would determine his own fate in race three if he goes out and wins it he would
13:04take the
13:05overall that would cut into the points league take it down from 10 to whatever that number ends up being
13:09if he loses this spot to webb he would then maybe no longer dictate his own fate so this is
13:15a huge
13:16huge moment not only in the race but could be the championship he's got a minute and a half plus

13:20lap jt to do something about chase sexton and keep cooper webb behind him can he do it yeah he's

13:26before of chase sexton back in looks like he's got a little bit more fire
13:32in him than he did that last lap but there's koop yeah koop got close to him and kenny
13:37since that inside so i wonder did he kind of lowest opportunities oh nice save by cooper he was going
13:45for the pass right there but be interested to see this next lap does kenny block that inside because
13:49cooper kind of showed his hands cooper's going to rev it up meanwhile justin cooper has what a lead
13:58gone out to more than a five second lead meanwhile excuse me meanwhile there is malcolm stewart trying
14:08to chase down hunter lawrence and steal that fifth place back oh he's up the inside of him got him
14:16second place goes back to roxon for now can kenny hang on to it for less than a minute plus

14:25yeah that was a that was important pass for kenny because now he looked like he had a little bit
14:29more pace than chase and if he could get away to give him a gap between the number one
14:34of cooper webb yeah and like jt said now he's got more of his control his own destiny
14:41in this third race now you know folks why we love triple crown so much you always got a chance

14:47especially this late in the season you've always got a chance to keep punching keep fighting keep
14:52grabbing points yeah great job by kenny really to kind of take control flip the switch he's rolling but
15:01man we had talked about hey a boring race is good for someone james yeah it is and if you

15:08our last triple crown he got his first victory went in that second race exactly a little bit of history
15:13repeating here yep well done justin cooper and it began when the gate dropped he got a brilliant start

15:37shows you how difficult this racetrack is he's got a nice gap this is an eternity and for a supercross
15:42almost five seconds but anything can happen especially with these conditions and it's only 12
15:48minutes right or 15 minutes plus one lap sorry yeah 12 minutes plus one lap so yeah that's a big
15:56lead here
15:57got a good start just perusing it's the way that this championship has been this year
16:03i sometimes feel we don't talk about justin enough big picture wise this guy you're watching lead this
16:10race on route to victory is fifth in the points he's had two podiums this year and in very similar
16:16fashion to last year the longer the supercross season's gone on the better justin has ridden
16:22and scored points and positions it's victory to justin cooper here in cleveland
16:29really good stuff and an important a very important second place for ken roxson in his
16:34fight against this man here hunter lawrence sexton gets a podium spot web and then the championship
16:41leader so roxson takes some points away from the honda hero but it's cooper in cleveland
16:50justin will like the sound of that with a fine win great ride justin great ride good rod for kenny

16:57oh yeah that was that was a really good comeback bounce back ride from race one he had to work

17:02for it though he did 100 right from the first lap and up against cooper webb and chase sexton but
