00:00All right, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus
00:07hours video on everything that happened to me.
00:10All right, the city of Trustville, Alabama, USA, sells out its townsfolk by inviting
00:16corrupt hospitals into its community.
00:20And there's two of these so-called freestanding emergency departments that are springing up
00:28within the Trustville city limits.
00:31The Grandview Hospital opened this past summer at 5542 Vandler Burge Lane, Trustville, Alabama, 35173.
00:41The Ascension St. Vincent's East freestanding emergency department opened at 6670 Green Drive,
00:52Trustville, Alabama in February 2024.
00:57This video is mainly going to focus on Ascension, but I cannot recommend that you go to Grandview
01:04to seek medical treatment because in my experience, when I had problems, when you call their hospital,
01:11they have staff that deal with the public that will not give first and last names.
01:17They use pseudonyms, fake names, and nicknames.
01:22If you're dealing with serious injuries that may cost into the tens, hundreds, thousands of dollars,
01:30millions of dollars to treat, you can't afford to deal with so-called professionals that won't
01:35give you a real name.
01:37Unfortunately, in the state of Alabama, many medical practices, doctors' offices, and hospitals
01:44do abide by this practice, and the state of Alabama Medical Board will not help you when
01:52you go to them about these matters.
01:55I've been there and done that.
01:56You can go to my video channel, and I've got recorded phone calls with all of these people.
02:01Just take a listen, and you'll see the truth and the reality.
02:04My own opinion, having experience with Ascension St. Vincent's and some of their facilities and
02:12doctors around the Birmingham, Alabama area, this is a huge mistake on the part of the city
02:19of Trustful.
02:20You want to know what I'm talking about?
02:22Please listen to the end of this call.
02:25You'll hear a message I left to Ascension Chief Executive Officer Joseph Impechike.
02:32Ascension is, of course, one of the United States' leading non-profit and Catholic health
02:41systems.
02:42They have over 134,000 associates, 35,000 affiliated providers, and 139 hospitals under its management
02:55in 18 states.
02:56In the Birmingham, Alabama area, this includes St. Vincent's and associated hospitals such
03:04as St. Vincent's East.
03:05What it comes down to for the city of Trustful is there are simply not resources in place
03:13in your city to adequately gauge and enforce regulations against the corrupt business practices
03:22of this hospital.
03:24Another issue with Ascension, people are simply paid off to look the other direction when problems
03:32arise.
03:33Please see the letter of United States Senator Tammy Baldwin of the state of Wisconsin, who
03:42has looked into Ascension and their impact in various communities.
03:48What people live in in Trustful have got to look forward to in the future as it relates
03:53to Ascension St. Vincent's.
03:56Problems are going to arise and you're going to notice that they just get ignored, swept
04:03under the rug.
04:05Search the review sites as far as patient experiences with Ascension and employee experiences working
04:13for Ascension.
04:14You'll see what I'm talking about.
04:16I'll show you here a review by a registered nurse currently employed from Indiana who works
04:24for an Ascension hospital.
04:26She describes Ascension as a sinking ship.
04:30She observed Ascension take over St. Vincent's Hospital.
04:34And all of a sudden, medical providers and professionals in her community start quitting and leaving their
04:43jobs.
04:44It's because of how Ascension does business.
04:47They do business in the wrong way.
04:49What happens eventually is the hospital that Ascension moves in and takes over, it's forced
04:56to shut down because the staff, nurses, and doctors, they're simply not being compensated
05:04properly and they have very little resources to work with.
05:08Service to patients with health problems also suffers and what they do is they eventually
05:14pull the plug and close the hospital.
05:17People are going in to the emergency departments and the Ascension hospitals seeking health treatment.
05:24They're being told they have no injuries despite the fact that they may do.
05:29They're being damaged by these medical opinions.
05:33Some of them don't make it and they die.
05:35I found out I was misdiagnosed in this way, got my records, I'll put them up here so we
05:41can look at them again.
05:42Went back to Ascension, went to these doctors, they won't speak to me.
05:46They said they bear no responsibility for their errors, alright, unresolved issues in
05:52my own case.
05:53I believe that there are many patients like myself who are not so fortunate to discover
05:59the truth of their injuries and challenge Ascension on the facts.
06:05I survived and I'm not happy about what happened to me.
06:09I called Ascension CEO Joseph Impecchike in 2021, never got a call back from the CEO and I'll
06:19play that call once again at the end of this video.
06:23You can hear some details about what happened to me.
06:27You've reached the Ascension System Office General Mailbox.
06:30After the tone, leave a detailed message and someone will respond to your call.
06:38I'm trying to reach CEO Joseph Impecchike and he can contact me at that number and I have
06:44a message that I would like to give to Ascension.
06:48Between 2018 and 2019 I was an emergency department patient at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital
06:55in Birmingham, Alabama.
06:57I believe I had broken my neck.
06:59I had an x-ray, two CT scans and later an MRI looked at by Ascension St. Vincent's doctors.
07:07Each time they had told me I had no injuries in this area, I knew their diagnosis was an error
07:13as my condition worsened.
07:15The area became infected and infested with parasites by summer 2019.
07:20I almost died.
07:22I obtained my medical records from your hospital along with the x-ray, CT, MRI imagery and discovered
07:28the truth of my injury.
07:29I had broken bone in the underside of my skull in the area of the condylar canal and occipital
07:35condyle.
07:35How the doctors could admit such a large and serious injury over multiple hospital visits
07:40is inexcusable.
07:41I believe some element of organized corruption may exist in this hospital.
07:46I have compiled over 10 hours of video documentation on what happened to me on my YouTube channel.
07:53The name of the channel is My Medical Nightmare.
07:57I believe I may have been a victim of patient dumping in the course of my seeking treatment
08:03which is a violation of EMTALA, E-M-T-A-L-A.
08:06When I told medical staff associated with Ascension about my discovery that I had been misdiagnosed
08:13repeatedly, I was personally attacked and my psychological state was challenged.
08:19This is reflected in medical records I obtained later.
08:22I could not obtain proper treatment or diagnosis for this injury because doctors and nurses that
08:31I would subsequently have encounters with would only entertain what the erroneous Ascension
08:36ER findings were.
08:38My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years, had the misfortune of working in an Ascension
08:44hospital when I questioned my MRR findings involving St. Vincent's Ambulatory Healthcare
08:50Network, LLC, and Dr. Michael Brandt Ruff, MD, radiologist, in March 2019.
08:57My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years and worked in the Ascension hospital, she was terminated
09:02from her job there around the same time.
09:05And so this phone call, I challenge the misdiagnosis of Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital,
09:12Birmingham, Alabama, and I challenge the policy of this hospital.
09:17And Mr. Impechike, I think you need to look into this, please.
09:21Please listen to my message, look into what I'm saying, and you're free to contact me.
