00:35Patients are reporting the $300 office charge, yet they are not seeing doctors in these visits.

00:55Last visit was a two-hour wait.
00:57X-rays taken that were not needed.
01:00Dr. Savage only placed his left foot in the door.
01:04I waved and asked how I was doing.
01:06Insurance did not pay the total visit due to my referral expiring.
01:12At time of scheduling, I inquired of needing a referral.
01:15I was told I did not need one.
01:17In my opinion, if a patient is not seen by the doctor, there should be absolutely no reason to charge
01:25for an office visit.
01:27I did visit the office.
01:28I was not seen or examined by Dr. Savage.
01:32Dr. Savage's physician assistant, PA, is the one that asks questions prescribed medicine.
01:38The next review from Hoover backs up this new trend.

01:47It does not matter which doctor you make an appointment with because you don't ever see the doctor anyway.
01:54I was told you see an assistant associate initially before seeing Dr. Goodman.

02:05I felt like I was in a chalk box facility.

02:08All right, so my issues with Dr. Perry L. Savage Sr. in Ortho, Alabama Spine and Sports.
02:17September 14th, 2019 visit.
02:20$300 cash visit.
02:24Appointment at 3 p.m.
02:25I sat in the waiting room two hours until I saw him.
02:29Walked out of the place near 6 p.m.
02:32Their waiting area does not offer patient-customer privacy or security.
02:39A crude half-wall Chinese screen curtain separates patients from the sign-in area where four or more patients at
02:49one time give their personal details.
02:52Customers can be heard giving personal health information, which is a concern of HIPAA, H-I-P-A-A.
02:59In the general waiting area adjacent to this, in the visit with Savage, I presented images of my own head
03:07and neck,
03:08clearly showing the issues, which included several-inch diameter head trauma.
03:14Curiously not acknowledged by this 50-year surgeon and professional who graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine
03:23in 1968,
03:26probably has seen almost every type of injury that is humanly possible.
03:32So one thing Savage told me was that the medical imagery that I showed him to assess my injury was
03:41not good enough.
03:42He wrote this in my chart.

03:45He says I just showed him a few slides of CT copied on paper.
03:51This is not accurate.
03:52I had a DVD-ROM disc that Dr. Savage put into his computer in the examination room.
04:00We both looked through imagery.
04:03I pointed to the same area in these pictures where anomalies have been noted.
04:10And again, he told me with a straight face that those were not injuries.
04:14My pictures looked normal.
04:16And I'll show some new findings as of April 2026.
04:22Interestingly, the same CT scans that I shared with him that he said weren't good enough have been newly assessed
04:31to be a high-resolution bone algorithm slice appropriate for evaluating osseous bone integrity.
04:39I had a chance to put this imagery in front of some new experts and compare this new information to
04:49the few lines of text Savage wrote in my chart.
04:54All right.
04:55So the area we're looking at, an axial view of the craniovertebral junction, specifically focusing on the base of the
05:03skull and the first cervical vertebrae, C1, the atlas.
05:07Primary findings.
05:08Within the highlighted red region, patient's left side image right, there's a significant disruption in the cortical continuity of the
05:18C1 lateral mass and posterior arch.
05:22This appearance may suggest a common unit fracture where the bone breaks into several fragments.
05:29The bone in this area appears irregular and displaced when compared to the contralateral side, that's the patient's right.
05:39These findings could reflect an acute traumatic injury to the atlas, such as a Jefferson-type burst fracture or a
05:48complex lateral mass fracture.
05:51In continuing examination details comparison, when comparing the highlighted region to the opposite side of the image, the normal ring
06:00-like structure of the C1 vertebrae is lost.
06:04The contralateral patient's right side shows a more continuous and expected cortical outline.
06:11Anatomical deviation.
06:12The fragments in the red box appear to be shifted, which could indicate instability at the craniovertebral junction.
06:22The findings are highly consistent with an acute fracture of the C1 vertebrae, atlas, on the patient's left side.
06:31Because injuries to the upper cervical spine carry a high risk of instability and potential neurological complications,
06:41this requires immediate evaluation by a neurosurgeon or orthopedic spine specialist,
06:49and usually necessitates stabilization, such as a cervical collar, until fully cleared.
06:56I mentioned in the other video where, after challenging the Birmingham Radiological Group, Ascension, and UAB doctors,
07:05I was retaliated against, and the future healthcare providers that I went to, when they looked into my case,
07:14some protest was made from one of the earlier providers, and all of a sudden I found doors were being
07:22closed to me
07:23in my quest for diagnosis and treatment of this injury, which I was repeatedly told did not exist.
07:31Two, Ortho Alabama and Dr. Perry Savage, they apparently had a working relationship or partnership
07:39with the Birmingham Radiological Group doctors, UAB, St. Vincent's, and Ascension.
07:46In the chart note where Savage claims he cannot explain my pain,
07:51but refers me on to their partners, University of Alabama, Birmingham, UAB.
07:56I did another video where Ortho Alabama and their doctor Malampati were the subject of a civil lawsuit
08:06in which Birmingham Radiological Group Dr. Julian Patrick Druhan was blamed for contributing to a patient's death.
08:17Days before, that individual had some medical imagery done and was accused of not spotting deep vein thrombosis,
08:28which may have been a causative factor in that patient's death.
08:31Physician Assistant Ben Jeter, PAC, sat in during this exam.
08:37He entered the room and never introduced himself.
08:40Dr. Savage also never introduced him to me as well, and this is not professional.
08:48When Savage was not looking at my CT x-ray and MRI images, Jeter thumbed through my files.
08:56Mr. Jeter silently observed,
08:59When I left, this man told me someone in their office would call me about a UAB neurosurgery referral in
09:09a few days' time.
09:10Why was I referred to a neurologist if the doctor claimed I had no injury?
09:17This phone call never took place.
09:19After one week, I had to call Ortho Alabama myself
09:24and found the appointment had indeed been made.
09:29Again, I was not informed.
09:30And what's more, I was put on a three-month waiting list
09:33for the referral to UAB.
09:37Dr. Mina Lubos,
09:39I was called by UAB and told
09:41I would have to wait an additional month
09:44because they were moving to Gardendale.
09:48At this point, I told UAB to forget it,
09:50and I canceled.
09:51I tried to contact Ortho Alabama and Dr. Savage later.
09:56When I found out the true extent of my injuries,
10:01I told an office representative
10:04I did not believe I received fair service for my money.
10:08I invited Dr. Savage to call me and discuss this.
10:12A telephone call was recorded.

10:18played the usual out-of-office games
10:22despite the fact I got a call from the office manager
10:25just a few minutes before.
10:27That call that I was promised
10:29then and there was not returned either.
10:32I was referred to Dr. Savage in Ortho Alabama
10:35from a previous visit
10:38at AFC American Family Care,
10:40for $175 cash
10:43located off of Parkway East
10:45near Roebuck.
10:47American Family Care
10:49would not back me up
10:50on getting this write-off
10:52of a medical exam corrected.
10:54I later learned AFC is corrupt
10:57and not a reputable practice,
10:59and anyone who takes business from them
11:01is immediately suspect.
