00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning which has been mild for most overnight,
00:05chilly across the northwest of Scotland.
00:08A fair amount of cloud as well and quite a blustery day today as more rain arrives from the west
00:14and pushes ever eastwards.
00:17The air remains relatively mild but into Friday you can see some cooler air just coming in across the north
00:23there and yes more rain on the cards as well.
00:27A drier interlude into the beginning of the weekend, chilly though with a touch of frost before more wet weather
00:34returns.
00:35For the time being this morning you can see where the cloud and the rain is, it's mostly across the
00:41north as well as the west, edging down towards northern England, pushing in across west Wales a few showers ahead
00:47of it as well as the west country.
00:48Now for eastern counties of England, a dry start, some brighter weather through the afternoon and you'll hang on to
00:55that dry weather until much later on.
00:57It turns a little drier for Northern Ireland as the rain turns showery across Scotland as we head through into
01:03the latter part of the day.
01:05Temperatures then through the afternoon, 10 in the north, probably 14 in the south, so a good few degrees lower
01:10than yesterday.
01:11The rain lingers on across central and southern parts of England, much of Wales as well as we head through
01:19into Thursday evening.
01:20It would then slowly push northwards into Northern England, arriving across Northern Ireland around midnight and then the central belt
01:27through the early hours of Friday morning.
01:30At the same time, showers will continue just to push in across the northwest of Scotland as more rain just
01:36extends across towards central and southeastern areas through the morning.
01:40So some wet weather to start the day on Friday, again relatively mild away from central and northern areas of
01:45Scotland, a bit cooler to start the day across Northern Ireland and you'll see some rain first thing.
01:49But it will slowly retreat on this northern and western edge as it continues to fall across northern England, pushing
01:57down towards Wales.
01:59Midland's seeing some showery bursts clearing much of eastern Scotland.
02:02Some clearer skies across the northwest of Scotland with one or two showers on Friday as well.
02:08Into Saturday, here's that ridge of high pressure, a colder start to the day, a touch of frost and then
02:13more rain on Saturday and into Sunday.
02:17And it will mostly be focused across the central swath of the country and that means some high rainfall totals,
02:22particularly for the southwest of Scotland.
02:24More details into the next 10 days. Check out our 10-day trend.
02:28Have a lovely day and I'll see you again soon.
