00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning.
00:04Quieter for many relative to this time yesterday when we saw Storm Chandra move in.
00:10However, in the wake of the cloud, the rain, temperatures plummeted overnight,
00:14the risk of ice this morning warnings have been issued.
00:17Through the next few days we remain unsettled.
00:20Low pressure never too far away and it will bring another batch of wet weather from the southwest.
00:26On Thursday, a rain morning for the southwest of England has been issued.
00:31This is a slow moving weather front, still cold across Scotland.
00:34We could again see some mountain snow.
00:37If you're stepping out this morning, persistent rain across the north and the east of Scotland.
00:41Still a bit showery across the Cairngorns, the highlands with some mountain snow here.
00:46Clearer skies, a touch of frost for Northern Ireland.
00:49Murky across northern England down towards the south there where we are seeing some pockets of frost.
00:54A chilly start to the day. Watch out for slippery surfaces and even some fog, particularly on the upslopes towards the east.
01:01Further southwest, showers never too far away and they will just move in across central and southern parts of England and Wales through the day.
01:10A few clipping Northern Ireland as well.
01:12Across northern England, a fair amount of cloud.
01:15A bit damp this morning in places but that cloud should break up.
01:18And we'll see some brighter skies across western and southwestern Scotland and even further south some bright weather is possible.
01:25As temperatures arrive around 7 to 10 degrees Celsius, 5 or 6 across the north and east of Scotland where we continue to see that wet weather.
01:32And the rain will continue through this evening.
01:35A feed of cloud from the North Sea bringing with it that rain, a little bit of snow over the mountaintops and a brisk breeze.
01:43At the same time, showery bursts of rain heading across Northern Ireland, Irish Seacoast, the West Country into the early hours of tomorrow morning.
01:51Again with a wind which will pick up some strength through the morning.
01:55Chilly elsewhere with a touch of frost to start the day.
01:58Yet again even some fog patches where the winds are lighter.
02:02Through Thursday then, some brighter breaks coming through, some sunshine.
02:06But a more persistent band of wet weather will arrive around lunchtime across Cornwall, Devon and move in across southern parts of Wales as we head through the afternoon.
02:16A yellow warning is here through the afternoon.
02:20Warning of a risk of further flooding.
02:23The ground is that saturated and we've seen flooding from Storm Chandra already.
02:27It's not going to help the situation.
02:28Low pressure stays in charge through Saturday and into Sunday with showery bursts of rain.
02:34So all in all, yes, the weather remains unsettled.
