00:00I'm riding around with two radars so you don't have to because we've been testing a lot of those mid
00:06and lower tier radars against the industry standards like the Varia and the Carback just to see what are the
00:13criteria that makes these so good and make those lower end models real cheaper really.
00:18And after riding with two radars and two head units, it looks kind of crazy, but I've noticed that the
00:25lower end ones most concerning, just the sheer amount of ghost cars, it would ping that a car was behind
00:33you, the other one wouldn't, you'd look behind you, no car.
00:37That's really concerning.
00:38The other kind of examples of that are how soon it would notice a car, how accurate of an estimation
00:46of how many cars there were on that first initial alert.
00:49It would show four or five cars behind me, but by the end, there was really only one or two.
00:54Next is then like how fast the alert goes away.
00:58So on the Carback, as soon as that car passed my shoulder, it would go green and I'd know I
01:03was in the clear.
01:04On the other ones, it would take a few seconds for that alert to go all clear, making me think
01:10there's still a car behind me.
01:11So the Varia, the Carback and the Wahoo, they're industry standards for a reason.
01:16They cost a little bit more, but they perform as good as they can as devices that kind of help
01:22you keep yourself safe on the road.
