00:00What if I told you that book sitting on your bookstand that you're addicted to can actually pay you and pay you, pay for your electricity bill and more?
00:11It's crazy, but it's true. And I'm going to give you five ways that you can actually get paid from reading.
00:18So this is great. So all right, let's get started.
00:21All right, the first one is to become a professional book reviewer for money.
00:25Now, did you know that there's around four million books published every year and your job is to read the book and just tell people what you thought about it?
00:36It's pretty cool, right? You can do it from home. It's very flexible around your schedule.
00:41And if you love books, you read them. You might not get paid for it.
00:45All right. And here's the cool thing about it. You're not writing a ton for your review.
00:49It's 300 words. That's nothing.
00:51You know, my blog posts are at least a thousand to 3,000 words and that's nothing to me.
00:56And usually I go over that amount.
00:59It's very hard for me to go under. I'm trying to go under. It's hard.
01:02So it's super easy.
01:04The bad news is the pay is kind of not the best, you know, like 50, $75 to review, but that's one place.
01:12And there are multiple places too.
01:13So I'm not sure if you can actually sign up to multiple places.
01:17You might be able to actually earn more money from the book.
01:21That's something to look into.
01:22But it looks like a killer thing.
01:24And I have a million things going on, but it looks pretty interesting.
01:28All right. So that's one way.
01:30The next one is a proofreader.
01:32So here's my question to you.
01:34Do you like details?
01:36So your job is to find little errors that people miss, okay?
01:40And this job has really expanded beyond just books to include AI-generated content and important documents.
01:49So here's the thing.
01:51AI makes mistakes, believe it or not.
01:54In fact, I took a picture of one mistake, one of my prowess achievements.
01:58I don't want to frame it on my wall.
02:00But I asked Google because what happened was I took a picture of a sign and I asked them what it meant.
02:06And it came with some response.
02:08And I was like, that doesn't make sense.
02:09And I double-checked it.
02:10And it turned out it was Gemini.
02:12Gemini was wrong.
02:14And I said it was wrong.
02:15Then it actually apologized.
02:17Oh, sorry.
02:17That's the craziest thing because now AI is getting, like, good, like scary good.
02:24So, you know, take one for the humans, right?
02:26So it's true.
02:28All right.
02:28And the pay can be really good.
02:31It can be, you know, $25, $55 an hour.
02:34It's even better if you niche down.
02:36So if you're not just into blogging but if you're just, like, medical, legal, and you do other stuff like that, you can actually make a lot of money.
02:43So that's another idea.

02:51The third one is an auto book narrator.
02:54And this is 100% work from home.
02:56However, if there's, like, construction going on next to you, you probably should pause.
03:01But you definitely can make pretty good cash.
03:06But here's the problem with being this is there's a lot of editing.
03:10So for every hour of finished audio, expect to do at least that much in editing if you don't outsource it.
03:17And here's how the pay works.
03:18It could be really good.
03:20It depends on what you negotiate.
03:21But with the author, if it's a 50-50 royalty split, you can get paid royalties.
03:27And if that's a great selling book, then you can make some, you know, some killer cash, right?
03:32Or you can just get paid a flat fee of $50 to $400 per finished hour.
03:38And that's how that would work.
03:39Okay.
03:41All right.
03:41The next up is affiliate marketing.
03:44And affiliate marketing is great.
03:46If you don't know what that is, it's where if you post a link somewhere, somebody clicks on it and purchases something or even fills out a form for more information, you can get paid.
03:55And it's so flexible.
03:57You can do it anywhere in the world, anytime, in any niche almost.
04:02And, in fact, Audible has an amazing affiliate program where, I kid you not, you can look into it, but I believe it's $15.
04:11I could be wrong.
04:13And you give away a free audio book if somebody signs up for a free subscription.
04:18It's amazing.
04:20It is really hard to get into, though.
04:22And there's also the Amazon affiliate program, which Amazon got started with books.
04:28And if somebody clicks on that and purchases anything within the store, within 24 hours you get paid.
04:33But there's just two ways.
04:34There's multiple ways you can actually make money.
04:36Then you include ads.
04:38You can do websites like this.
04:40You can do a video.
04:42And you can tie it into the book niche as well.
04:45And you can be very creative and make money.
04:48So that's another idea.
04:49All right.
04:50Moving on.
04:52Online book club moderator.
04:54Yes, you can get paid to be a moderator, believe it or not.
04:58And let's see here.
05:01Entry level, you can earn $15, $25 an hour.
05:05You know, stuff like that, depending on the place that you go to.
05:07I actually was a Reddit moderator for a time.
05:11I had a subreddit.
05:12It was like 6,000 people.
05:14I guess I wasn't that good.
05:15I think I was pretty easygoing.
05:18You're like, whatever, you know.
05:19Post whatever you want.
05:22And so a corporate decided to ban my subreddit.
05:24So I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about being banned.
05:30Because I took Sunday off.
05:32I was like, I'm outside.
05:33I was like, you know, playing in natural sunlight.
05:38It must have been some good stuff.
05:41What happened?
05:42I don't know.
05:42I wish I could know.
05:44I'm like, all of a sudden I came back.
05:45And they're like, it said it was unmoderated.
05:47I took one day off.
05:52I don't know.
05:52I'm dying to know.
05:53Who posted watching that thing?
05:55I don't know, buddy.
05:57So I guess the moral of the story is you want to read the rules.
06:01And, you know, some places are strict or some places are not.
06:03I don't know.
06:04But I guess there's ways you get paid to be a moderator.
06:07So there's just some ideas.
06:08And working from home is so amazing because you don't have to commute.
06:12I mean, you save gas and save time, money.
06:14And it opens up more doors because, you know, you can look at gigs nationally
06:20and globally, not just in your town.
06:22And there's so many amazing things for it.
