00:00Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
00:03Oh, well, I find it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.
00:08Hey! Yes, sir, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
00:11Pass the aux cord and crank up the volume.
00:15Figgy Figs in the driver's seat.
00:17Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
00:20It's time for Figgy's Mixtape on Sports Radio 610.
00:25Yes, it is the mixtape in the loop, Sports Radio 610.
00:28And it's your man, Figgy Fig, holding it down on a Thursday.
00:32Happy Thursday to everyone out there.
00:35We are a week away from Christmas.
00:38It must be a week.
00:39One week from today.
00:40Yeah, man.
00:41One week from today, it'll be Christmas.
00:44And I've been doing kind of a little Christmas thing throughout the mixtape all week.
00:50And yesterday I did the worst Christmas movies,
00:54and one of those movies did not include Home Alone.
00:58Right.
00:58Thank God.
00:59Well, everybody knew that.
01:00Yeah, yeah.
01:01So I'm glad it didn't have that on there.
01:04I'm glad I ain't seen no hot take about Home Alone.
01:07But I did come across some fun facts about Home Alone.
01:10And this is one of those things, like all year round,
01:13every time I see them talking about the making of Home Alone
01:17and the music and all that stuff,
01:19I just tap in and just try to see what's going on.
01:23One of the fun facts that I ran across was about the one and only Joe Pesci.
01:28Yeah.
01:28He was on the show.
01:29He was the bad guy.
01:30And this is kind of off of his, you know, run the mobster movies and all that stuff.
01:36And he dipped it to the whole Christmas movie scene with Home Alone.
01:39I mean, he was still the bad guy.
01:40And so he wasn't too far from his monster.
01:42Oh, yeah.
01:43That's what I'm saying.
01:43Yeah.
01:44It wasn't like just bad.
01:45He was funny.
01:46Effortlessly funny, seemingly.
01:48Yeah, yeah.
01:49So here's a little fun fact about Joe Pesci in Home Alone and how he acted on the set.
01:56And in this clip, you'll hear Macaulay Culkin kind of giving his thoughts on it, too.
02:02Joe Pesci left Macaulay Culkin with a permanent souvenir.
02:05Pesci decided the best way to play a convincing child terrorizing burglar was to actually terrify the child.
02:12He kept his distance from Macaulay Culkin on set.
02:15He never joked around with him.
02:16He barely even spoke to him.
02:18Basically, he treated Kevin McAllister like someone he fully intended to rob.
02:22And then came the finger incident.
02:24During rehearsal for the scene where Harry threatens to bite off Kevin's fingers,
02:28Pesci leaned in, stayed in character, and chomped down a little too hard.
02:32Hard enough to break the skin.
02:34Hard enough that Culkin still has the scar decades later.
02:38It was the only time the cast ever saw Pesci genuinely rattled.
02:41The man who played Tommy DeVito suddenly panicked because he'd accidentally injured a child.
02:47He did it on purpose.
02:48He bit me.
02:49I think he just meant to put his teeth on my finger, but he bit down a little harder than he thought.
02:54And I have a little Joe Pesci tooth mark scar right here on my finger.
02:59That's crazy.
03:01Yeah, that's crazy.
03:02I think it's kind of cool.
03:03And it shows you how serious he took this role, too.
03:06Yeah.
03:07Because usually, I mean, I'm not an actor or anything, but I'm guessing a lot of people kind of have a relationship on a set and all that stuff.
03:14Anybody else probably would talk to Macaulay and just kind of, hey, kid, you know, he kept his distance from him to kind of make him scared in real life.
03:25He went method.
03:26Method actor.
03:27He went method.
03:28It's always fascinating, like, the length of these people, these people, these actors and actresses go.
03:33My favorite part about the method actors are how the people who are not method talk about them.
03:36Oh, yeah.
03:37Because oftentimes it is, it ranges from mild annoyance to, like, the worst of them where they just absolutely hate it.
03:44Like, Jared Leto is a dude that has just gotten the worst.
03:47Yeah.
03:47People are just like, why is he like this?
03:49Yeah.
03:49Because what was it?
03:50The, oh, goodness, which one of the, was it Suicide Squad or whatever one where he was the, where he was the, he was the Joker?
03:58Yeah.
03:58And he was, like, leaving dead animals, like, in his coworkers' trailers and stuff.
04:03And they're like, dude, you don't have to be like this.
04:06Why are you like this?
04:08Yeah.
04:08No.
04:08I mean, it's crazy how people take roles so serious.
04:12Like, we look at people whenever they do a role and be like, man, they killed that role.
04:16But just the actor effect of it.
04:19A lot of people go to Tupac.
04:21Tupac Shakur.
04:21Heath Ledger.
04:22Yeah.
04:23Like, Heath Ledger, people said he became deranged himself.
04:26Yeah.
04:27A lot of people feel like Tupac in the movie Juice, that was kind of the one thing that kind of set everything off.
04:33You know, for Tupac's music career as far as, like, the whole gangsta life type deal.
04:38Was it Daniel Day-Lewis Lincoln?
04:39Yes.
04:40Like, I remember some stories about that.
04:42Like, people said, that's Lincoln.
04:44Yeah, but he's notoriously the dude that people use, at least used to.
04:48I wonder if that's still the case.
04:49We think of when people talk about method actors.
04:52Oh, Daniel Day-Lewis.
04:53Yeah.
04:54Like, if people were calling him, well, no, no, that's Abraham Lincoln.
04:58Okay.
04:58Like, that's got to be crazy, though, to just be like, for the period of me working on this, I am this character.
05:05Yep.
05:05Like, I got to go to the store and just be this person?
05:07Yeah.
05:08Mm-hmm.
05:08That's crazy.
05:09As I continue on the mixtape in the Loot Sports Radio 16.
05:13Did we just move past the dude, like, a grown man just biting a child and this being okay?
05:17Did we just move?
05:18I realized that.
05:19He said he was rattled.
05:20Yeah.
05:21I guess he was a little nervous about that.
05:23Yeah, I feel like he was like, here comes the lawsuit.
05:25He drew blood on a child.
05:29Here comes the lawsuit.
05:31Yeah.
05:31He took that role serious.
05:34But this is a mixtape in the Loot Sports Radio 16.
05:37Speaking of Macaulay Culkin, did you know he's a diehard Rams fan?
05:42I did not.
05:42I did know this.
05:43Him and his lovely wife.
05:45I was like, are they officially married, Brenda Song?
05:47Yeah, yeah.
05:48Yeah, they love the Rams.
05:50Really?
05:50Love the Rams.
05:51You want to hear Macaulay Culkin kind of break down the Rams a little bit?
05:55Yeah.
05:56All right, here's Macaulay Culkin, and this was on Mythical Kitchen.
05:59I guess it's a show, some type of little cooking interview type show.
06:05Here's talking about the Rams.
06:06With the Rams defense giving up 30 fewer rushing yards per game this year,
06:10primarily out of nickel base, do you think there's a case to be made
06:12that Puna Ford was a more important acquisition than Devontae Adams?
06:15You said the key word, Puna Ford, I swear.
06:18If he was one inch taller, if he was six feet tall, he'd be making bigger bank.
06:23He's got this little kind of stigma.
06:25Man, we haven't had a guy plug up the hole like that since Sue,
06:28since Sue was on the team, really.
06:30That's what it's all about.
06:31Puna Ford, he's the quiet MVP of the season.
06:35Because that was a big hole in our defense was the run.
06:37And Puna, man, he just, he does it.
06:40Unsung hero, what's your biggest fear?
06:42Not having Puna Ford on the ramps.
06:45He knows ball.
06:47He knows ball.
06:47Puna is fantastic.
06:49You talk about defensive tackles that do what they're supposed to do.
06:51Puna is really good, and he is on a,
06:54currently a three-year $27 million contract.
06:57All right, all right.
06:58Yeah, make sure he don't get off the team.
07:00Otherwise, McCauley might put some booby traps out there or something.
07:03Ah, around that sofa?
07:04Yeah, that'd be a problem.
07:05Maybe he can thank McCauley Culkin for that contract.
07:08Yeah.
07:09Well, yeah.
07:09You got to pay that man.
07:10Yeah, you better.
07:12You going to piss him and Brenda off.
07:14Yeah.
07:14Yeah, you don't want both of them mad at you.
07:17Maybe one.
07:17Yeah.
07:18It's Mixtape and Luke Sports Radio 610.
07:23It's that time of the year,
07:24and everybody out there doing their shopping and stuff like that, right?
07:27Mm-hmm.
07:28I saw that Mickey Mouse was in town doing some shopping at Walmart.
07:33What?
07:33Mickey was.
07:34Yeah, yeah.
07:34So let's go to KPRC2 Devin with the story about Mickey Mouse shopping at Walmart.
07:41When you go grocery shopping, you expect fresh, not furry, but one video recorded inside this Walmart's produce aisle has shoppers doing double takes.
07:51The video sent to KPRC2 News shows two rats scurrying across cucumbers and other vegetables in the fresh produce aisle at the Walmart on North Sam Houston Parkway, Easton Humble.
08:02In one video, the vermin are right under a sign that reads, Manager's Special.
08:08Brooklyn Bates, who lives in the area, says it's hard to believe.
08:10I go shopping there.
08:12As someone who helps run her mother's food truck, she says cleanliness is essential.
08:16Being clean is the number one priority.
08:19Her mother, who did not want to go on camera, says this Walmart is the one their family uses, mostly because it's close to home.
08:25We bought apples and other vegetables and food.
08:29Harris County Public Health did inspect the store after it says it received that video and four complaints.
08:34They found a dead rat on a glue pad behind a cooler,
08:38but by that time, all of the affected products had been removed and sanitized.
08:42We want to mention that this store did get an overall score of 96, but it also got a citation.
08:48We understand there is another inspection scheduled before Christmas.
08:51Yeah, there better be.
08:52Hey, salute the Mickey Mouse.
08:55No, you know what this means?
08:55Get the shopping done, right?
08:56What this means is Marvin Zendler been gone too long and everybody done gotten too quiet.
09:00We need a new Marvin Zendler to keep people on their toes.
09:03Dude, I just called up.
09:03What you mean?
09:04I just called up the video.
09:05That is.
09:06Yeah.
09:07That could be.
09:07I couldn't even watch the video, man.
09:09I don't want to see all that, man.
09:10Oh, boy.
09:11That is unbelievable, man.
09:13I know that Walmart, too, man.
09:15It's in my old hood.
09:16Yeah.
09:17I was about to say, like, does this count as a, you know, reminder of the PSA,
09:21make sure you wash your produce when you get to the house?
09:23Oh, 100%, man.
09:25That is a.
09:26Even before you get out on the shelves, you don't know what's going on in the trucks and all that stuff.
09:31Oh, yeah.
09:31You have to.
09:32Big tough.
09:33Fruit, everything.
09:34Everything.
09:34By the way, Malik Collins as an interior defensive line makes more than Puna Ford.
09:38Oh, wow.
09:39On an average annual value basis.
09:42Yeah.
09:42Hey.
09:43He might.
09:44Macaulay, no ball.
09:45Yeah, he do.
09:46He do, man.
09:49It's a misstaping the Loose Sports Radio 610.
09:51I'll get you guys out of here on this.
09:55How shocked would you be if your significant other knew a lot about football as far as, like, plays and different stuff like that?
10:06Like, will it shock you if Jan was like, oh, man, you should have threw a post right there?
10:11Not a lot.
10:11Not a whole lot.
10:13She's a knowledgeable fan.
10:14She's not an X's and O's person.
10:16But you wouldn't be shocked if she threw out some X's and O's.
10:19She's probably picked up enough.
10:20And like, man, they need to go back to the RPO.
10:23Yeah, she's probably picked up enough.
10:25I mean, she knows what an RPO is.
10:26Where have you been?
10:26Who have you been talking to?
10:27Yeah, she knows what an RPO is.
10:29But I wouldn't, she wouldn't go around quoting it and demanding it or whatever, you know?
10:33Yeah.
10:34Well, slightly surprised.
10:35Okay.
10:36Okay.
10:36I'd be surprised if my lady came out and said, yeah, it probably should have went with the RPO over there.
10:41I'd be like, wait, what?
10:42Who are you?
10:43Wait, what?
10:44But apparently, this is exactly what happened to a guy who was playing NCAA football.
10:49He's sitting there playing.
10:51His girlfriend was probably just sitting there watching him play.
10:53And she decided to do this.
10:56How did you run a RPO?
10:59Because my wide receiver is not fast enough.
11:04And my quarterback doesn't have the ratings right now.
11:06He didn't even realize what she asked.
11:09There we go.
11:10There we go.
11:11Come on.
11:12No.
11:15I should have done a screen pass.
11:19Now he's looking at it.
11:20Huh?
11:20Yeah.
11:21I should have done a what?
11:23A screen pass.
11:24A screen pass?
11:26Yeah.
11:27You know what a screen pass is?
11:28Yeah.
11:29And wait a minute.
11:31Did you just say I should run an RPO?
11:33Yes.
11:35I should run an RPO?
11:36Mm-hmm.
11:37You know what an RPO is?
11:38That doesn't sound coachable.
11:41How the heck do you know what an RPO is?
11:43Don't worry about it.
11:43Just run it.
11:44And a screen pass.
11:46I haven't been paying attention.
11:47No, you haven't.
11:51Here's a little more.
11:51She kind of took it up a notch.
11:53Who have you been talking?
11:54Yeah.
11:54Hey, coach.
11:55Coach is telling you to run the damn RPO.
11:56Run the RPO, son.
11:57Yeah.
11:58Here's a little more.
11:59She took it up a little notch.
12:00RPO.
12:02That is very odd.
12:04And I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with you knowing football terms.
12:10There it is.
12:11You idiot.
12:14Could have been a post.
12:16Get out.
12:17Get out.
12:18How do you know this stuff?
12:19Who have you been talking to?
12:20There you go.
12:21That's the point.
12:21Who told you this?
12:24Post, RPO, screen pass?
12:26You've never once said that.
12:27We've watched football for years.
12:29And you're oblivious.
12:31Who told you this?
12:32I haven't been paying attention on this whole time.
12:35She's lying around.
12:37She's chuckling the whole time.
12:39See, if she sold this, I think she could have really sent him to, like, the netherworlds
12:43where his brain is just like, what happened?
12:45Yeah.
12:45Where have I been?
12:46The funniest part was the first time she said she should have ran the RPO.
12:50He was like, oh, yeah.
12:51He's like, yeah, good idea.
12:53But unfortunately, I can't.
12:54He was like, yeah, no, I couldn't do it because of the way they had the defense up.
12:56I'm like, he answered the question.
12:58And he goes, wait a minute.
12:59By the way, what's the answer?
13:00How did she?
13:01Now, it's a trend on social media.
13:03Just kind of throw football turns out at your boyfriend while you're watching the game
13:07or playing the video game.
13:08I think usually the way it happens is someone who does know, like, trying to kind of coach them
13:12up as to, like, this is what you're saying.
13:14And then they go, and they throw it out there.
13:16Another funny one is when a woman is listening to, like, some hardcore hip-hop that, knowing
13:21she won't listen to, like, if my wife was listening to, let's say, Jadakiss or something
13:27like that.
13:27What have your wife done like Jadakiss?
13:29She actually do because of me.
13:31Not sure.
13:31But she don't listen in that type of hardcore, scaring the holes type music.
13:37I thought we'd done such a good job of not using that word on this program.
13:40Hey, man, that's a term, man.
13:41It is.
13:41That's a term we in Houston.
13:43Yeah.
13:43But that's always a funny bit when a woman is, you know, put a hat in her car or something
13:50like that or put the seat way back in the passenger seat.
13:54Like, who was in your car?
13:56Just kind of tick off the dude.
13:57It's the basis of comedy.
14:00Expectation subversion.
14:01You expect that your lady, if she's not a, like, giant football fan, because some ladies
14:06do.
14:06Yeah, there's a lot of women that know what RPOs and stuff is.
14:09Without question.
14:10Without question.
14:11But then if you're like, I know my lady don't give a damn about football, and all of a sudden
14:14she come in here talking like D'Amico Ryan, you're like, hold on.
14:17Yeah.
14:17Wait a minute.
14:18Nah, that would be a red flag for me if my wife came in and talked about, oh, he should've
14:22ran the RPO.
14:23Like, what?
14:24I like the last one best.
14:25It's real nonchalant.
14:26Should've run a post.
14:28Should've run a post.
14:29He was just like, get out.
14:30Get out.
14:31Get out.
14:31He paused the, he had to pause the game and everything.
14:34Like, wait a minute.
14:35Get out.
14:37Should've run a post.
14:37I'm telling you.
14:39Without question.
14:40There you go.
14:41Oh, man.
14:41That was fun.
14:42Appreciate you for yet another fantastic edition of the Mixtape.
14:451.20 p.m. every weekday right here on Sports Radio 610 at TheFiggyFig on social media
14:51if you see something Mixtape worthy.
14:53All right.
