00:07Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
00:10It's time for Figgy's Mixtape.
00:13Presented by Sheriff Injury Lawyers,
00:15the official personal injury law firm of the Houston Texans.
00:19On Sports Radio 610.
00:22Yes, it is the Mixtape presented by Sheriff Injury Lawyers on Sports Radio 610.
00:27Hurt in the accident? Injured? Don't wait.
00:30Visit CallTheSheriff.com today.
00:33I wonder if this grandpa needs to call the sheriff with this one
00:38because he was clearly hurt in the accident.
00:40I don't know if y'all saw this viral video.
00:43Oh, yes.
00:44I want to say it happened yesterday or a couple days ago.
00:47But a grandpa, I'm guessing he's a grandpa.
00:52Everybody kept referring to him as a grandpa.
00:54He was at Yellowstone National Park.
00:57And ran across a bison.
01:00And that bison wasn't too happy.
01:03So he ran around the tree.
01:05Ended up getting hit by the bison.
01:07And went up, I want to say, about eight feet in the air.
01:09Yeah, I think that's what was officially said.
01:12It looked like 13 to me, but, you know, I don't know.
01:14Yeah, yeah.
01:15So here's NBC News with the story.
01:18Because they actually caught up with the person that was recording.
01:22And he was kind of telling this story.
01:24But this is the whole story for those who didn't see it or missed it.
01:29Everyone, there's a bison.
01:30Look out, a bison.
01:32Look out.
01:33This is the scene at Yellowstone National Park.
01:36A bison charging toward a man and a young person.
01:39Moments before, the two taking photos from a distance as it lays down.
01:43When the animal gets up and bolts in their direction.
01:47They try to run and hide as the bison chases the man around a tree, shakes another one.
01:52And then, the bison slams into that man with brutal force, throwing him feet into the air.
01:59It was like watching a bulldozer move out at 45 miles an hour.
02:05Photographer Mike McLeod recorded that video, but stopped and ran to help.
02:10And when you approached this man, how is he?
02:12He was in a lot of pain.
02:14He was conscious, I think, the entire time.
02:16The National Park Service confirming a 65-year-old man was injured by a bison and taken to the hospital.
02:22McLeod says he's in touch with the man's family.
02:25It sounds like he has a broken leg in several places.
02:30The doctor said that he probably would recover, but it's going to be a long recovery.
02:35The man's family telling NBC News he underwent surgery and remains at the hospital.
02:40This incident, the second in just two months at the park.
02:44In June, a 12-year-old was also hurt by a bison.
02:48The National Park Service says people should always stay more than 25 yards away from them
02:53and to run away if one charges.
02:56Man, salute to the grandpa, man.
02:59I'd be dead.
03:01Like D-E-D.
03:03Dead.
03:04Yes.
03:04And he was hauling ass around that tree, too, man.
03:07But he was moving.
03:08But the buffalo, or the bison, rather, great, great bend.
03:14I mean, agility, speed, all the characteristics.
03:18Yeah.
03:18Out there looking like Will Anderson, Jr.
03:20First round grade.
03:21First round grade, for sure.
03:23I do love that the official word on what you should do if a bison attacks you is run away.
03:30Because, like, I wasn't about to do that.
03:32Yeah.
03:32I do love that they were like, hey, if it starts running, you also run.
03:37Thank you for that.
03:38I wasn't going to do that.
03:39It's all easier said than done.
03:40But, man, just like the photographer said, he said it's like a bulldozer going 45 miles an hour.
03:47It's terrifying.
03:4845 miles an hour?
03:50Yeah.
03:51Good gravy, that thing.
03:52Man.
03:53That was terrifying.
03:55And I can't believe that guy.
03:57Obviously, very serious injuries, but all things considered.
04:01Is he the world's strongest grandpa at this point?
04:03I know he's recovering and stuff like that.
04:05Yeah.
04:05But like you said, you would have been, what, D-E-D?
04:08D-E-D.
04:10Yeah.
04:11Shout out to him, man.
04:12I thought that off of the video, it seemed to me, the uninitiated, that he was like a good distance
04:18away.
04:19Yeah, he was.
04:20The bison just seemed like he was like, all right, I am messing with you in particular.
04:24That's how it read to me watching the video.
04:26It didn't seem like they did any, because, you know, sometimes you'll see videos.
04:29They didn't do anything out of the ordinary.
04:31Right.
04:31And they were relatively far away.
04:33I thought so.
04:34Like, sometimes you see people looking for it, so to say, and you go, yeah, that's what your dumb self
04:38gets.
04:38Yeah.
04:39This didn't feel like that.
04:40No.
04:40Yeah.
04:40I will say, though, I don't know if it was just, like, every man for themselves at some point, but
04:44he was with a seemingly young woman there, who I imagine was his granddaughter.
04:48I don't know.
04:48Yeah, I want to say it was a child.
04:50There was a kid there, too.
04:51There was a kid there, too, yeah.
04:52When that bison, I saw him running, and it did not seem like he was, like, actively, like, yo, trying
04:57to save whoever that person was.
04:59Because I saw some people, like, oh, so he just left her.
05:02And I don't know what the case was.
05:03She ended up behind, like, the trees in the video, so you couldn't see.
05:06Yeah.
05:07But it did feel like he was just, like, find your way home.
05:10I'm gone.
05:11You know what I mean?
05:11And, unfortunately, he was the one that the bison attacked.
05:13I think a part of it was the bison picked him out.
05:17Like, there was not going to be.
05:18Clearly, he's coming after me.
05:19He's coming after that dude.
05:21For whatever reason.
05:22It's kind of like that dog that picked one person out the group.
05:25Yes.
05:26And just going after that one person.
05:28Yes.
05:28Everybody else standing around, I'm going to go after you.
05:30Mm-hmm.
05:31Man, that was scary.
05:32It was.
05:33It was wild.
05:34I mean, it's funny to watch when it's not you, and you know that everybody, like, lives on the other
05:37side.
05:38Mm-hmm.
05:38But, yes, that's such a wild thing to happen.
05:42But, yes, I would draft bison first round.
05:45Because just, can you imagine a tackle that would have to try and stop?
05:48Good lean.
05:49Good hips.
05:49Good lean.
05:50Turns the corner.
05:51Pretty fast.
05:52Got up to speed real quick, too.
05:54Like, it didn't take a while before it was just on him.
05:56And the boys talked about this a little bit earlier.
06:00I wouldn't put, I mean, bison are dangerous animals.
06:02You know, you want to keep your distance.
06:03But that's not the first one you think of as like, oh, boy, you know, we got to get out
06:07of here.
06:07You know, because they look kind of lumbering and stuff until they're not.
06:11Right.
06:12And then they come after you at speeds like that and weight like that.
06:16Yeah.
06:17Can I ask you a question?
06:18Because in my mind, they don't think dangerous.
06:20Maybe this is like the cartoonification of it.
06:22Moose.
06:23Moose is extremely dangerous.
06:25Right.
06:25Yes.
06:26Do you think people view them as dangerous?
06:28I think more so than before.
06:31Yeah.
06:32Moose are really dangerous.
06:35With the fact that they're much bigger than you think.
06:36Isn't there a stat that they've killed more people in the last whatever years than sharks?
06:42That sounds probably, like, that sounds viable if no other reason than sharks and people have significantly less interaction than
06:49we give it credit for.
06:50Well, I mean, surfers and all that.
06:51There's a lot.
06:52Yeah, but.
06:53I mean, there'd be a lot of shark attacks, though.
06:54Yeah.
06:55But moose have killed more people.
06:55Compared to, like, moose and the ways you could cross paths with, I keep wanting to say meese.
07:00Because, you know, goose, geese, moose, meese.
07:02But, yeah, moose.
07:03It feels like, yeah.
07:05It's crazy.
07:06Man.
07:08It's the Mixtape presented by Sheriff Injury Lawyers on Sports Radio 610.
07:13Lopez.
07:13Hmm.
07:14Happy Father's Day, man.
07:16Father's Day?
07:17Yeah.
07:18Well, didn't we already have that?
07:21Did we?
07:21I just want to tell you happy Father's Day, man.
07:23Well, thank you.
07:24I'm glad you had that reaction because here is the Rage in the Town.
07:28Oh, yeah.
07:29Oh, Lord.
07:29Yeah.
07:30Your son decided to tell him happy.
07:32He didn't say, well, thank you?
07:35Not really.
07:36Not really.
07:37So, the Rage in Italia had a long day.
07:39I guess he was working outside.
07:40Yeah.
07:40In the yard and all that stuff.
07:42He sat down.
07:42He was tired.
07:43And the son decided to tell him happy Father's Day.
07:46What's up?
07:47F***ing tired, dude.
07:49I'm exhausted.
07:50Working outside.
07:51Trying to wish you, you know.
07:53Wish me what?
07:54Happy Father's Day.
07:56Are you f***ing kidding me?
07:58What do you mean am I kidding you?
08:00F***ing Father's Day was like two weeks ago.
08:02What are you talking about wishing me a happy f***?
08:04You didn't wish me a happy Father's Day then?
08:05I don't give a s***.
08:06Are you going to tell me now, two weeks later?
08:08I literally...
08:09That's like going to someone's funeral three months after they die.
08:12I literally wish you a happy Father's Day.
08:15I don't remember.
08:16I won't.
08:17Why the f*** would you wish me a happy Father's Day today?
08:19And happy early 4th of July as well.
08:21Why are you wishing me a happy Father's Day today when it was f***ing two, three weeks ago?
08:24Oh no, I said happy 4th of July as well, early.
08:26It's not even a f***ing 4th of July yet.
08:28What do we just f***ing name?
08:29Why don't you just f***ing wish me a Merry Christmas?
08:32Let's cross the wall off the list.
08:33Jinx.
08:34Jinx.
08:34Let's cross the wall off the list so you don't have to f***ing do nothing the rest of you.
08:37Happy late Father's Day.
08:38I'm going to pull s***.
08:39And happy early 4th of July.
08:40And happy Thanksgiving and happy Halloween and happy Merry Christmas and happy f***ing New Year.
08:44What the f*** kind of bull s*** is this?
08:49God, I love that guy.
08:51He's...
08:51You know what?
08:52He's probably going to live to be like 110.
08:54Just because he lets it all out.
08:56Are you sure about that?
08:57I don't think that that's how that works.
08:59Too many people are just suppressing their feelings and trying, you know, they get to internalize everything.
09:04He's just like, screw this.
09:06And he just lets it all out.
09:07He's probably going to live, outlive all of this.
09:09I don't think that that's...
09:10I don't see that at all.
09:12Do we understand how blood pressure works?
09:14I just feel like his heart is pumping.
09:17Is that what lets him...
09:18He's going to have a stroke.
09:19That's the point, man.
09:20That one, you could have easily walked away from that one.
09:24He was ready to get upset.
09:26Like, I think that he kind of likes it.
09:27Yeah.
09:28Because there's some times where his sons do this and I go, y'all are being some jerks.
09:31Yeah.
09:32He got himself way more riled up than he needed to in that moment.
09:36Yeah.
09:36If that was my parents and I did something like that, they were like, boy, get out of my face.
09:40Better than walk away.
09:41Just move.
09:42Or ignore me.
09:44This one, he just got so worked up, man.
09:47Like, why are you...
09:48At this point, if I was...
09:49I'm like, why are you getting so worked up over this, man?
09:51I just like the way it triggers so fast.
09:54He's like, what the people are you talking about?
09:57Just like, over like in a second.
09:59I'm not going to lie.
09:59I feel anxiety listening to him because it just feels like this is going to be the one that takes
10:03him.
10:04Every time.
10:04It's like, oh, this is the one that he's good.
10:05He's going to be yelling and then he's going to pass out.
10:08And then we're going to hear that the Rage in Italian is no more.
10:11And I'm going to be very sad.
10:12Yeah, man.
10:15All right, it's the Mixtape in the Loop, Sports Radio 610, presented by Sheriff Injury Lawyers.
10:20I'll get y'all out of here on this.
10:22I'm just throwing this out there.
10:23I'm not saluting into anything.
10:25But a couple overseas went viral for a contract they decided to sign.
10:30And this contract is for the new Grand Theft Auto 6 that's set to be released on November 19th.
10:37So I'm going to go through what they had on this list.
10:39I think the guy came up with this contract to have his lady sign.
10:43And I think they both signed it.
10:44So I'm going to go through this.
10:46I want you to see if this is going too far right here.
10:49So in the contract it says,
10:51allow to play GTA 6 as much as desired from November 19th through November 29th.
10:57Wow.
10:58Ten days.
10:59Yeah.
10:59So you can play as much as you want during that time.
11:02No time limit.
11:03No time to go to bed or anything.
11:05It's not sounding good already.
11:06Yeah.
11:07And don't stop there.
11:08The next one.
11:11Prohibited from crossing in front of the monitor during missions or cut scenes.
11:16Okay.
11:16So permission to cut in front of the monitor?
11:19Prohibited.
11:19Prohibited.
11:20Oh, okay.
11:20Yeah.
11:21I was like,
11:21just don't walk in front of my team.
11:23I don't want you in eyesight.
11:25Yeah.
11:25My wife is good for that, man.
11:27I'll be sitting there playing Madden.
11:28As soon as I snap the ball,
11:29she just walked right past.
11:31Oh, no.
11:34She's like, what?
11:35Like, nothing.
11:35Move.
11:36Yeah, nothing.
11:36Well, yeah,
11:36you can't do all that, though,
11:38because that's going to start an argument that you didn't even need.
11:40I was just like, nothing.
11:41It's cool.
11:42It's third and 26 now.
11:45Some other things he had in his contract is violations will result in some type of penalty.
11:52So I don't know what this penalty is.
11:53Kind of vague.
11:54Yeah, very vague.
11:56Forbidden phrases to say when a game occurs.
11:59Just a game, right?
12:01Oh.
12:02We can do it later.
12:03Oh.
12:04Haven't you played long enough already?
12:06Yeah, I know.
12:07So these are a couple things she cannot say.
12:10Mm-hmm.
12:10He also put in here, hugs, conversations, and requests for favors can be postponed until
12:16after missions end or upon arriving at a safe house, which is inside the game, I guess.
12:22Oh, gotcha, gotcha.
12:23Yep.
12:23And then decide who covers the game costs can invalidate one rule.
12:29So whoever buys it can, I guess, take off one of these rules.
12:32Oh, gotcha.
12:33So a lot of people are pretty much applauding this contract.
12:36Do you think this is too far?
12:38Yes.
12:39Yes.
12:40This is his wife?
12:42I'm guessing so, yes.
12:43Yes.
12:43This is his wife.
12:44Yeah.
12:45First of all, you can sign all those contracts you want.
12:47It ain't going to be worth the paper.
12:49It doesn't mean a damn thing.
12:49It doesn't mean a damn thing.
12:51We all know that.
12:52It ain't going to be worth anything.
12:53And I think just the contract itself already kind of sets the stage for strife, for conflict.
13:02Right?
13:02You want me to sign that?
13:04Yeah.
13:04Now they both signed it.
13:06But she actually took a picture with him with the contract.
13:09Yeah.
13:09Who cares?
13:09She's on board with it.
13:10But come on, man.
13:11That's what she says.
13:12Yeah.
13:13I mean, that was similar to yours, which is, I mean, a contract is only as good as you can
13:20enforce it.
13:21And I would love to see the circumstance when you're like, hey, you violated rule number two, subsection B, and
13:28then actually see how well that goes for you.
13:31Yeah.
13:31When I saw this, I thought about, remember when Mike Tyson was on a TV show, or I think it
13:37was like a morning show or something like that on TV?
13:39Yeah.
13:40And the guy brought up his sexual assault situation.
13:43Oh, yeah.
13:44And Mike Tyson got mad and started cussing.
13:46And the guy was like, hey, man, we don't lie to you.
13:48He was like, what you going to do about it?
13:50And the guy kept going on with the segment.
13:52I think a woman would be like, what you going to do about this, Con?
13:55I don't care if I said, what you going to do about it?
13:57Yeah, I signed it.
13:57Who cares?
13:58Yes.
13:59Now what?
13:59I walked in front of the TV.
14:00Yep.
14:00Now what?
14:01And I told you to stop.
14:02You've been playing long enough.
14:03What you going to do about it?
14:04Yeah.
14:04It's like, you know, words of Mike Tyson, what you going to do?
14:06Exactly.
14:06When she's mad and doing whatever she does to punish you, whether that's like not talking,
14:10not cooking, whatever it is in your relationship.
14:13You need to come with me to the grocery store.
14:16I don't care about the little contract.
14:18Right.
14:18You can decide whether you're going to want to be right or whether you want to be out of
14:21your situation.
14:22Exactly.
14:23You got a choice here.
14:25And that choice will always be available to you.
14:27All right.
14:27That's another fantastic edition of the Mixtape, 1.20 p.m. every weekday right here on Sports
14:32Radio 6.
