It’s been two weeks since two men went missing from the Claxton Bay area.

Relatives say the men disappeared without a trace and they want the police to treat the case more seriously.

On Thursday morning, they told our reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh, they continue to have hope that the men are alive and pleaded with those responsible for their disappearance to release them.

00:0020-year-old Tyrese Peters and his uncle, 50-year-old father-of-two Jason Roll, both of Hilltop Drive, Springvale, Claxton Bay, went missing on November 27th.
00:13Two weeks later, no word, no sighting, or any information about the whereabouts of the men or Jason's Sylva Almera, the vehicle they were last seen in.
00:25According to relatives, Tyrese was visiting his uncle Jason that afternoon, and they both left his home along with a female friend of Jason's.
00:34I just want my son here alive. If I could get him alive, well, me know well if he didn't. But if he alive, full, full self of him, bring him back, because he is an innocent boy. Tyrese is an innocent boy, I wouldn't like him.
00:53Troy Joseph, father of Tyrese, says he often warned his only son to stay away from his uncle, and believes whatever happened, Tyrese was not the target.
01:05He's a man wanted, right? He's a moving target, right? I thought, Tyrese, stay away from my son, nothing, no crime or anything. He just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
01:24However, Jason's sister says the two were always together, and both were good, respectable men.
01:32I don't know what everybody up and saying, my brother has a target on his back, and my brother this and my brother that. I just don't understand where that's coming from.
01:40You understand? All of a sudden, he's the worst thing, right? My cousin Tyrese, because I'm coming here.
01:46They just sit down and smoke weed together. They just sit down and line together. They just go anywhere in the country and hunt.
01:51I just don't understand where it is going on. I don't know who take my brother.
01:54A friend, a vegan, and a pedant. Please, let my brother and my cousin go.
02:01They believe police should focus more on the woman the men will last in company with,
02:07and called on the police commissioner to ensure investigators treat this case with the same urgency and resources
02:14as they would any other case gaining national attention.
