What happened to a missing San Fernando couple remains a mystery.

But the condition of the La Romaine home where they were last seen has led relatives to fear the worst; that the pair may have been murdered and their bodies removed from the scene.

Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh visited the home on Monday and spoke with family members.

00:00Around 11 a.m. on Saturday was the last time relatives reported seeing 44-year-old father of one, Samuel Montano, and his girlfriend, 36-year-old mother of two, Zahida Mohamed.
00:13The couple was at Montano's home located near the seashore along Sunset Cove extension, La Romaine.
00:19A relative told police when they went to visit on Sunday morning, the couple was not there, but a blood trail that looked like something or someone had been dragged started inside the wooden structure leading to the beach.
00:33The TTPS was contacted and on arrival, investigators discovered a blood-soaked bed inside with over 20 spent shells scattered across the floor, which included eight 9mm shells, seven of which had TTPS markings, six .40 caliber shells and nine 5.56 shells.
00:54At the scene on Monday, the missing woman's father spoke off camera, saying, given the state of the home, he believes both his daughter and her friend were killed and speculated their bodies may have been taken out to sea and dumped.
01:09He hoped they would be found to bring closure to the uncertainty they now have.
01:14She wasn't into crime or she wasn't, she wasn't, she wasn't going to work to the corporation, she wasn't the guy working corporation, but the guy that she liked, you know,
01:23she liked him so she knew she'd be around him. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
01:28If she had the slightest idea that something like this might happen, she wouldn't have been there.
01:35But she put trust in the fellow, they went on live, she liked him, so they have a good time there, you know what I mean?
01:42And decided, well, they will come and they will be there because they are custom coming here.
01:46Meanwhile, speaking to reporters at Muhammad's Cottage Street San Fernando home,
01:50a friend said, it's hard to imagine the couple alive after seeing the blood trail at the house,
01:56but they are still hoping for the best.
01:58People just saying, taking, they're just not playing out here.
02:05Out here is not a playing thing and then the government saying that they're protecting here.
02:11Then sometime more the innocenters are the pay for the guilty.
02:15I just feel it for the youths and
02:17everybody had to try to be safe out there and
02:23I had the best I could say, but it's a horrible thing
02:26knowing that they could find holy spin shells
02:30on a crime scene.
02:32On Monday, relatives of Montano declined to speak with reporters.
02:37Coast Guard officers under TTPS's K9 unit
