Flooding lingers across the northwestern United States. AccuWeather's Bernie Rayno says although the weekend is expected to be dry, more rain is expected to soak the region next week.

00:00The flooding continues across the northwest, but the good news is the heaviest rain is now over.
00:06But the rain has been heavy this week.
00:08Take a look at the three-day rainfall totals.
00:11Wherever you see the red, you're looking at rainfall totals in the double digits.
00:15Heaviest rain has been along the coastal range of western Oregon and the west slopes of the Washington Cascades.
00:23Now, lingering moisture the next day or two.
00:26However, as we head into the weekend, it's going to dry out.
00:30In fact, both Saturday and Sunday is going to be rain-free.
00:33But the rain comes back in as we head in the next week.
00:37However, it's not an atmospheric river.
00:39It's going to be a big dip in the jet stream coming from the Gulf of Alaska into the northwest, which means we're looking at rain.
00:46It's not going to be the heavy amounts that we saw this week.
00:50And it's a much colder system, which means we're going to also have to deal with snow through those passes in the Washington and Oregon Cascades.
