While the severe weather shouldn't be as intense as last weekend, there will be another round of disruptive thunderstorms from the Ohio Valley to the Northeast at the end of the workweek.
Transcript
00:00While the most disruptive thunderstorms at midweek have generally been in the central U.S., the rain's going to increase,
00:06and thunderstorm chances will be ramping back up into the Ohio Valley.
00:10As we step into the late week, this also moves into the interior northeast, so from the eastern part of
00:15the Ohio Valley into the interior northeast, we're going to have some disruptive thunderstorms on Thursday.
00:20It'll be warm and humid, not terribly hot, unless you're down into places like D.C. or south, where you're
00:25going to be up into the upper 80s to near 90.
00:27But in the interior northeast, scattered strong to severe thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon will bring the risk of damaging wind
00:34and some localized flash flooding.
00:35Most of this will be west of Interstate 81.
00:38As we step deeper into Friday, the thunderstorm risk will ramp up farther east to I-95, but also gradually
00:45push a little farther south for the intense thunderstorms.
00:48Some areas like the Washington, D.C. metro that got hit hard back on Monday will be at risk for
00:53another round of sweltering heat and strong and severe thunderstorms on Friday afternoon with damaging wind.
