00:00Occasional rain and even some thunderstorms in the south will be impacting the weekend plans for many of us.
00:06For those of you in the northeast, often on periods of rain, two disturbances, one Saturday, another one late Sunday.
00:12For the southeast, rounds of rain, drought relief is a needed thing.
00:16It's just ill-timed happening on a weekend.
00:19A lot of this will occur on Saturday for areas near and south of Interstate 20.
00:23In the northeast, we're going to have one round of rain on Saturday.
00:28Unfortunately, it will take several hours to move through any one spot.
00:31And a lot of this is going to occur on Saturday during the daytime hours in the northeast.
00:37So our Saturday forecast, you're looking at 50s and 60s for highs in the northeast, 70s to near 80 for
00:43many of us in the southeast.
00:44There are some bright spots, for example, Virginia Beach and Charlotte.
00:47You're going to scoot through most of Saturday dry.
00:49But farther south, we've got rain.
00:51And farther north, we have rain, even a rumble of thunder in places like Philadelphia.
00:54We need that rain there and the drought-stricken southeast.
00:58Sunday, generally more dry hours than wet for most of us.
01:02We're going to see more rain and thunderstorms return to the southeast late Sunday.
01:06They'll be scattered.
01:08And in the northeast, a round of late-day showers, spotty thunderstorms from Philadelphia to southern Connecticut,
01:14and a period of soaking rain late Sunday night.
01:17So regarding those highs on Sunday, 60s to 70s for many of us, and as we look at the amount
01:23of rainfall,
01:24most of us will see half of an inch to an inch of rain.
01:27Some of you in the south will see more than that.
01:29We need every drop.
01:29And into other areas like southern New England, there's a pretty good chance for an inch or two
01:34between Saturday and then Sunday night.
