00:00Finally, a break from the showers and thunderstorms.
00:05The humidity is going to linger in the northeast of Mid-Atlantic, but at least most areas will dry out
00:10for a day or two.
00:11The drying begins in the northeast on Wednesday, and then by Wednesday night, it pushes down into the Mid-Atlantic.
00:17We need the break.
00:18Look at all the rainfall we've had over the last five days.
00:21You start seeing that yellow and red.
00:23You're talking about over a half a foot of rain in five days.
00:27And, of course, that has led to flash flooding, so we need the break.
00:31The break won't last long, though.
00:33See that dip in the jet stream south and west of Hudson Bay across the Canadian prairies?
00:39What is that going to do?
00:41Slowly move south and east.
00:44Showers and thunderstorms return region-wide on Thursday, last into Friday.
00:49But here's the silver lining.
00:51Behind that dip in the jet stream, the humidity starts to drop, and it looks like a fantastic weekend.
