Tobago Police have dismantled a Robbery Ring following a three-month crime spree. Four men have been arrested.

As Elizabeth Williams tells us, the Tobago Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) caught up with a group of robbers , believed to be responsible for a series of attacks reported between September and November 2025.

00:00During the three-month crime spree, several victims reported being robbed of jewelry and cash,
00:07prompting an intensive investigation by officers of the Criminal Investigations Department,
00:13Roxburgh Police, and the Tobago Gang and Intelligence Unit. They said the pattern
00:18of the offenses raised immediate concern, leading to coordinated surveillance and targeted operations.
00:25Following weeks of inquiries, investigators arrested several suspects believed to be
00:31directly connected to the string of robberies. Four have since been charged in relation to the
00:37incidents. Three have so far appeared in court. On Monday 8th, December 2025, one of the accused,
00:45Jamali Gordon, age 27 of Betel, appeared before Master Gray charged with two counts of robbery
00:52with aggravation, one count of robbery with violence, and one count of housebreaking and
00:58larceny. Gordon was denied bail and remanded into custody. Italian McLeod, age 25, of Orange Hill,
01:06Tobago, appeared before Master Gray charged with two counts of robbery with aggravation and was given
01:12his own bail and reporting conditions. Chelsea Stewart, age 19, of Canube, Tobago, a casino dealer,
01:21appeared before a magistrate charged with two counts of receiving stolen items and was given bail in the
01:27sum of $15,000. Senior officers commended the collaborative efforts of the units across the
01:34division, noting that the arrests have brought significant relief to affected communities.
