A family of three were arrested in Lowlands Tobago, while raids across Tobago netted drugs, guns and ammunition, as officers on the island operated under the State of Emergency . Here is Elizabeth Williams with our crime wrap in Tobago.

00:00Three persons were arrested following a raid and search operation which was
00:05conducted during the period 9.15 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Tuesday 31st December 2024 in
00:12the Sherwin Road Police Station District. Officers went to the home of a
00:17self-employed 42 year old male of Lesson George Drive, Lowlands. During this
00:24operation a thorough search of the premises was conducted in his presence
00:28with the assistance of the canine unit. The officers found marijuana which weighed
00:34330 grams and a quantity of cash which amounted to $14,874 and 80 US currency.
00:4319 marijuana plants were also found. The homeowner, his 32 year old wife and a
00:5172 year old female pensioner were arrested. Meantime at around 2 p.m. on
00:57Tuesday officers were on inquiries in the Scarborough Police District when they
01:02received information that a man was armed with a gun was at the back of the
01:07Dwight Yoke Stadium in the vicinity of the Wassa Pump station. The officers went
01:12to the area but did not see anyone. A search however revealed a black garbage
01:17bag with a shotgun wedged between two logs beneath a large hot plum tree on
01:24the river's edge. In another matter at around 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday officers on
01:31patrol along Lucy Vale Road Speyside called out to a man clad in dark
01:37clothing, hooded, dark long jeans and a red ski mask who was walking along the
01:43beach. He ran off a firearm and seven rounds of nine millimeter ammunition as
