We head to New Zealand, where the West Indies are about to start their quest to end a 30 year Test drought against the Black Caps on home turf.

West Indies go into the three-match series as clear underdogs. And all-rounder Kavem Hodge answered questions over their noted batting woes and reconstructed bowling attack.

00:00West Indies only had the fortune of a two-day tour match to make the mental and tactical switches from wide ball to test cricket.
00:07But the Caribbean men made the most of the two days with the bowlers and batsmen getting valuable time and work in.
00:13And Kavim Hudge had an all-round showing striking an unbeaten 50 while picking up two wickets.
00:19It was really good to spend some time in the middle. I think the guys fared out pretty well.
00:23The openers got some time in the middle, the fast bowlers got a run out. But yeah, it's been pretty good.
00:29The biggest concern for the visitors will be their batting, having only managed to score 300 or above once in their last three test series.
00:37An issue the Dominican is well aware.
00:39Yeah, I think for any batsman, you know, the main currency is runs.
00:43And time in the middle is gold in any preparation for any kind of cricket.
00:47So it was really good to spend time in the middle. I think the guys made the most of the opportunity.
00:53You know, the competition was fairly decent.
00:56But yeah, it was just a matter of, you know, getting accustomed to the conditions.
