00:00Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munraro.
00:18Music
00:19Hello and welcome to your Thursday edition of It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer.
00:29Music
00:30It's Thursday and our couples are packed and ready to start moving on up to the north
00:35because in just two more sleeps, Blackpool's blue skies will greet them
00:39and the Tower Ballroom will become their sage.
00:43But before all that, we've got heaps of Strictly Fun coming your way.
00:48So let's take a look at what we've got coming up for you tonight.
00:51They took us rum back to a place only George knew
00:55and the judges couldn't help being swept up in the emotion.
00:58But with a salsa in sight, would George and Alexis keep their tokens rolling and play on next week?
01:06Between the fairground rides, the fish and chips and breezy beach walks, our couples have been training hard.
01:13So stay tuned as we've got exclusive footage of how our last four couples are shaping up for their biggest performance yet.
01:19And she's got an awful lot of outfits to pack before she heads up to Blackpool.
01:25It's Vicky Gill, everybody!
01:30But first up, spiky, brittle.
01:33The kind of things you'd expect to find at the bottom of the Blackpool Sea.
01:37Unfortunately, that's also how the judges described Karen and Collis' American Smooth last weekend.
01:43They're here to chat about their performance and how they're hoping to glide into a far smoother Paso Doble.
01:49But for now, let's take a look back at the dance.
01:51You went from open hole to close hole.
01:58There was no bumping.
02:00I saw so many improvements.
02:02I know what you can do well.
02:04Because you bring it every week and it's always great.
02:07But I want to see lyrical.
02:09I want to see soft.
02:10It was a little brittle, this dance.
02:13Every single dance, I see you.
02:16You made it your own.
02:17And I think that's something absolutely beautiful.
02:24It's Karen and Collis.
02:27Collis, I'm actually going to start with you.
02:29Because you got quite emotional at the judges' comments on Saturday night.
02:33Tell me more about it.
02:34What happened?
02:35I was.
02:35Just like, you know, being a partner and being a professional dancer
02:39and seeing your celebrities practice so hard every single week.
02:44And it just inspired.
02:47But particularly in this week,
02:49and the ballroom, like I said, is not her strength.
02:51And she worked so hard.
02:53And she came into training.
02:54She said, I really want to try to make it myself to improve
02:58and to let the judges to see that I'm improved just a little.
03:01That's enough too.
03:02And she did absolutely amazing.
03:04And they saw it.
03:05They saw it.
03:07So you teared up.
03:08You got emotional.
03:09I just so.
03:10It's just like all the hard work pays off.
03:12And I just couldn't be more proud to be there with her
03:15and to witness those magical moments.
03:17And to get that comment, yeah.
03:18And yourself, Kaz, you also got quite emotional.
03:21What was your take back from the feedback?
03:23Well, I got emotional because Carlos got emotional.
03:25Because, you know, he was right.
03:28We put in loads of work.
03:29And to just try and be in that position is really, really challenging for me.
03:33And sometimes you couldn't even breathe.
03:34I said, Carlos, remember, you can breathe.
03:36Yeah, he just said that to me a lot.
03:38I'm like, but no.
03:40And when I seen you like that then got me because we're a team.
03:43And we're a partnership.
03:44And we've worked really hard at that.
03:46And we're together.
03:46So, you know, if he's happy, I'm happy.
03:48If he's emotional, I'm emotional.
03:50We mirror.
03:50So, but seeing him care about me so much, which you do, just meant a lot.
03:56And I think everyone else could see that too.
03:57So, thanks.
03:58Oh, it was a lovely moment, actually, for the two of you.
04:01But because you were worried about the pacing in the American Smooth.
04:06And had to undo some of those old football habits for the dance.
04:09So, how did you work on that in the lead up to Saturday?
04:12Yeah, because everything is, I think I've said it before,
04:15if I've got to get over there in football, I get over there quick.
04:17Everything's in my nature.
04:18Even I ran here because it was cold.
04:20So, I was running here.
04:21It is cold, you're right.
04:23There's no slow with me at all.
04:25I either am still or I go.
04:26So, to do the dance and to try and be elegant, I think in my head I am.
04:30And I think I am.
04:31But obviously, there's still more layers to that.
04:33But, you know, that will take time if we're given the opportunity.
04:36But I tried my hardest.
04:38You did.
04:39I really love the dance.
04:40I love the drama in it as well.
04:42It's gorgeous choreography, Carlos.
04:43But were you happy with the pacing of the dance compared to what it was on day one of training?
04:48I mean, I'm more than happy.
04:49I mean, we've all seen that performance.
04:51And who thought Karen Carney would deliver the American smooth in the most smoothie way?
04:57Yeah.
04:58Like, the best.
04:59Aw, we love that.
05:00He's proud of you.
05:01He cried and everything.
05:03Well, moving on into Blackpools.
05:06Where you're going to be dancing a paso doble to this.
05:10Oh, vamos.
05:10Oh, Fortuna by Carmina Burrana.
05:17Yes.
05:17My gosh.
05:19Okay, Kaz, along with Alex Scott in 2019, you are the only other footballer to ever have
05:25competed in the Tower Ballroom.
05:27So, what do you make of that?
05:28That's quite an achievement.
05:29That's pretty cool.
05:30Alex did really well as well.
05:31She did.
05:31I watched her dance the other day.
05:32Also a paso?
05:33Yeah.
05:33Really?
05:34I watched it the other day.
05:34It was really cool.
05:36But, yeah, like, I can't believe it.
05:38Just, I'm really excited.
05:39I'm really excited to dance with Carlos there.
05:41And, obviously, massive tune.
05:43Yes.
05:44Like.
05:44It couldn't be.
05:45You can't get it any better.
05:46In terms of paso doble music, that is.
05:49That's what he's been saying all week.
05:50Yes.
05:50So, yeah, it's very dramatic.
05:53So, yeah, it probably suits us.
05:56I feel like this is going to be a great dance for the two of you.
05:59You've got that kind of drama and fierceness about.
06:02And, Carlos, I think it's safe to say that you're also very excited about a paso in Blackpool.
06:07Shall we remind ourselves of your reaction on Saturday night?
06:10I can't.
06:23That's why I said it suits us.
06:25It suits us.
06:27I don't think I've ever seen someone more excited to do a paso than with him.
06:30I can't tell you how.
06:32Like, every day, even though when I try to explain to her the paso doble to this music,
06:36what's the paso doble about, I couldn't stop talking.
06:39Yes.
06:39For the first time in my life, I couldn't stop.
06:42I've had an encyclopedia of knowledge about the paso from Carlos.
06:46Buzzing!
06:47I'm so, so happy.
06:49But it is such a great dance to do in that tower ballroom.
06:52It's, like, just so big and eats up the space so well.
06:54You know that, though.
06:55How excited are you, though, to unleash that kind of drama and fierceness that the paso needs?
07:00I've got to match this guy's drama.
07:02You've seen it there, but...
07:04I think you will.
07:05I've said to Carlos, try and wind me up a little bit to get into a little bit of character.
07:09So this is you on Tuesday, but this is looking good, guys.
07:12Yeah, she's really...
07:14She's, you know, she's, like, she really had the character of this dance.
07:18Yeah.
07:18Which is something you can't teach.
07:20Paso doble is a dance that, whether you get the style or you don't.
07:23Yeah.
07:24Steps itself is easy to learn, but it's hard to do.
07:26Hard to perform.
07:27Exactly.
07:28Right.
07:28But if, yeah, I think it's suited her.
07:31So it suits her.
07:32I think I'm really looking forward to see her to dance this dance.
07:34And Kaz, you've got six extra dancers joining you for this as well.
07:38Do you think that it'll feel a bit like being back on the pitch with your teammates?
07:41Yeah, it did feel really nice, you know, seeing them the other day.
07:45And I was like, thanks for being in our team.
07:48And Carla said, they're your army, Kaz.
07:50Oh.
07:50So they're your army.
07:51And obviously when we do certain things, the army comes with me.
07:53You've felt the energy, yeah.
07:55And I was like, oh, this is really cool.
07:56Like, we're just going.
07:58So it was, yeah.
07:58And they're amazing to be part of the team and just so lovely.
08:02So it's great to have them.
08:03Yeah, the army of Kaz coming towards Carlos in the Blackpool Tower.
08:07I love it.
08:08The drama.
08:08Can you believe it?
08:09I know, it's all right.
08:10I really believe it.
08:10And how has the dynamic of the extra dancers, though, influenced the whole performance?
08:15They're incredible.
08:16Yeah.
08:17And they also, because it's Blackpool, and having those extra dancers,
08:21and the amazing extra dancers actually dancing next to her,
08:24actually adds more flavor and style, the energy to help her to perform even better.
08:30Yes.
08:30I felt it when she danced in the scurbish with her.
08:33I was literally, was amazed by the energy they gave to me, because I was opposite.
08:39So even you were being inspired by it, see?
08:41I am.
08:41No, I am.
08:42I genuinely am.
08:42It's a team effort.
08:43Well, listen, we can't wait to see this fierce, dramatic Paso Doble in the Blackpool Tower.
08:48Good luck to the two of you at the week, and let's hear it for Karen and Carlos.
08:54Now, with extra dancers, extra choreographers, bigger lights, and an even bigger ballroom,
09:00it's no wonder our couples have been working overtime to perfect their Saturday night dances.
09:04Let's take a look at how Alex, Lewis, Amber, and Belvinda are getting on.
09:11We are dancing the quick step.
09:13The stamina aspect is concerning, but we'll train hard.
09:19You remember from the judges' criticism from the last ballroom we've done,
09:23with her left shoulder slightly bit up.
09:26We're keeping her down this week.
09:29One, two, three, four.
09:31My mission this week is for Amber to smile the whole way through in Blackpool.
09:37I just want to have fun, so I want to bring the party to Blackpool.
09:42I do know it!
09:45The routine for the Charleston is actually going quite well.
09:49It's really fun.
09:50It's upbeat.
09:50Three, three, four, five.
09:51If you don't have the stamina, you're unable to execute the quality.
09:56From the first note of the song till the last beat of the song.
10:01The shapes, the movement, the speed is very different.
10:04There's a lot going on.
10:06Did we get that?
10:07I didn't get the length.
10:08It's one of those.
10:11I'm hoping we can pull it off.
10:12Just say yes, please.
10:16I saw that.
10:17We have the Argentine tango, which is all about precision and commitment and staccato movement.
10:25Me, you, Les.
10:26I gotcha.
10:28We have to be quite clear on where we step and where we look.
10:32Hob.
10:32So what's been going really well is that I can actually walk and dance in heels and it feels brilliant.
10:39I can't believe what I'm seeing.
10:40Got a lot of confidence.
10:42Well, more than I had before.
10:44Hollywood, step back.
10:45There's just something else about the Argentine tango that's making me go, yes, yes, yes.
10:51Junka.
10:54This week, we are doing our couple's choice.
10:58The dance is fast.
11:00And as much as I love it, the dance moves have to be super precise too.
11:04Observing Alex go through this choreography makes me so darn proud.
11:09What we need to absolutely name is the synchronization between the two of us.
11:15It's so exciting, but it is its own challenge.
11:20Never in my lifetime have I ever done anything like this.
11:25I look like a black chicken.
11:31Next up, as the tide rolls in, so does someone with enough sequence to light up the prom.
11:37Our costume queen is back, ready to hem in the chaos of Blackpool week.
11:42It's, of course, Vicky Gill and putting on the glitz.
11:56It's Vicky Gill.
11:59Loving the outfit, Vicky.
12:00I'm loving the vibe.
12:02Now, Vicky, you showed us Nikita's outfit on the show last Thursday.
12:06But what he wore on Saturday was slightly different.
12:10Can you talk me through what happened?
12:11I mean, he mentioned also the trousers.
12:13So when did the change happen?
12:14Well, we don't often show a lot of menswear on a Thursday.
12:18Purely for this reason, because it's more about chatting to the guys,
12:21finding out what they, you know, what they want to do.
12:23And as you can see, Nikita wanted to show more flight.
12:26A lot less.
12:27Yeah.
12:27So, therefore, we couldn't have the leather on the upper and the lower, so we went for the lower.
12:33You went for the lower.
12:34Yeah.
12:34Just one option.
12:36Yeah.
12:36Okay.
12:36And that's why we will not see any more men's outfits on It Takes Two.
12:39Okay, shall we get into sketch number one, then?
12:42For sketch number one, what have we got tonight?
12:44Oh, Lewis Cook's Charleston.
12:46Yes.
12:47So how are you going to design this to give them that freeness that you need in the Charleston?
12:51Well, we've worked on a zoot suit silhouette, so a much longer jacket, high trouser line, fuller leg.
12:58It won't be so exaggerated because we don't want the jackets to fly too much with the Charleston,
13:03but both Katya and Lewis will be in very, very similar cuts.
13:08We may alter it a little bit for Katya to give her a bit more of a cinch, but we will see both of them.
13:12So we've got a pale pink woven fabric with quite clean black shirt and tie detail.
13:19We'll probably introduce a little bit of white through the styling because we'll have a black and white shoe with them.
13:24So very clean extras.
13:26And you've got some fabrics to show us as well.
13:28Yeah, so you can see the tone.
13:30And then our extra performers, professional dancers, will be in a purple, a burgundy and a red.
13:38Right.
13:38And so that'll be a good backdrop and a frame to show off Katya and Lewis.
13:42Okay.
13:43Let's go to sketch number two now.
13:45We've got Amber's quick step dress.
13:47Again, can you talk me through this one top to bottom?
13:49What is this at the top?
13:51What is happening there?
13:52All of it.
13:52Love.
13:53I know.
13:53All of the embellishment is on the upper part, just so that we don't put too much weight on the bottom.
13:59Right, because she's got to have that freeness in the legs.
14:01Yeah, and the whole dress is going to be in gold sequin.
14:03So from the hem, we've got gold binding, pale to a turquoise and cream georgette, so it's nice and light.
14:09But up through the bodice, this is all gold sequin.
14:12And then when we get to the neckline, we'll have a softer line, but all of this detail around the top will be crystals and jewel stones.
14:19So we'll stitch that through so the weight is not at the bottom.
14:21And you're holding some fabric there.
14:22Is this what it's going to all feel like?
14:23Well, again, I'll backdrop our professionals who are supporting them in their production.
14:29And we're going to be in a teal tongue to sit across the pale turquoise and the gold.
14:34She's going to look stunning.
14:36I know she is.
14:36Let's go to mannequin number one, shall we?
14:38Are we ready?
14:39Oh!
14:42Oh, now this is a fun one, because this is Ashley Roberts' outfit.
14:46Now, this is for the celebs that are coming back to big pro dance that they're all doing.
14:50Can you talk me through it?
14:52Black sequins, sparkly, I'm loving it.
14:54Well, we're so excited for the guys to come back and see us.
14:57It's always really, really nice when old friends come back.
15:01Ashley has not changed one bit.
15:02Watched the director's tape on Sunday.
15:04She's absolutely fabulous.
15:06And the music, shake the tail feather.
15:09We want lots of movement.
15:10But we want all of our returning performers to just be really classic.
15:15Yeah.
15:15Black, shiny, really take on kind of what we think about as strictly, but not have all of the different looks that they had before.
15:24Yes.
15:25Because it would be too multicolored and too distracting.
15:27No, no, no.
15:27Right, you've got a point of difference from what she wore the last time that she did Shake Your Tail Feather.
15:31Yeah.
15:32Shall we head over to mannequin number two?
15:35We will.
15:35Let's go to mannequin number two.
15:36Ready?
15:37Are we ready?
15:37Oh, this is another great set.
15:43So this is Belvinda's Argentine tango dress.
15:46Now, in our fashion panel, they picked her pasadoble as one of their favorites.
15:50Yeah.
15:50So talk me through this one.
15:51Another dramatic piece.
15:52Another dramatic dress.
15:53It's going to, the set will be quite dark, even though we're in the tower.
15:57And we use a lot of black when we work with Argentine tango pieces.
16:01But, as you can see, we've got an introduction of blue that's running through the whole dress.
16:05This will continue, hopefully, up onto the neckline and into the sleeve.
16:09We just haven't progressed to this because we need to fit it first.
16:12Yes.
16:12There's lots of splits so that the legs can become free.
16:15Yeah.
16:17Watching the choreography, I think we should be okay.
16:19But what you might find by the time we get to live on Saturday, we may have taken away the mesh.
16:25So did you add this on?
16:27Yes.
16:27Nice.
16:28For a bit of length.
16:28Yeah.
16:29So it's not too heavy, again, on the hem.
16:31But we'll see.
16:32I like the blue and the black combo.
16:34I do.
16:34Because I think it'll give us lots of light and shade on set.
16:37So we've got sapphire.
16:38I think up to now, as you can see, kind of over the hip, we've introduced some pearls.
16:42Again, we'll probably be at about at least 10 to 15 packets of crystals by the time we get to the Saturday night.
16:47Just your usual Saturday night.
16:48Alicia will be on the team, 10 packs of crystals.
16:50We can't wait to see all of the amazing looks at Blackpool.
16:52We're all super excited.
16:54Amazing.
16:54I can't wait.
16:55Let's hear from Vicky Gill.
16:56Well, just like Vicky's dazzling costumes, everything begins with an idea and a dream.
17:03For our pros, their journey into the world of dance started the very same way, with a spark of magic, a burst of passion and a whole lot of determination.
17:12We sat down with Lauren and Luba to chat about how they first stepped into the beautiful world of ballroom.
17:17Even though we're the greatest of friends now, we actually knew each other for a really long time anyway.
17:23Very long time.
17:24But I've never really asked you about your dancing.
17:27When did you start?
17:29My mum actually brought me to a ballet school when I was three in St. Petersburg, Russia.
17:34They're doing this task where they touch your bones and then they said to her, we cannot take her because she will be too tall.
17:42And they said she will be about 176, 177 centimetres and I'm exactly 176 centimetres.
17:51No way.
17:51It is crazy, isn't it?
17:52And they knew just by touching your bones?
17:53Just by touching my joints.
17:54I wonder if they can tell if I'll ever win strictly.
17:56I was so happy because I told my mum that I don't actually like the costumes.
18:01I'd much rather do the ballroom and latin.
18:04Wow, that's so cute.
18:05Yeah, so that's when I started, when you started.
18:07I started dancing at two.
18:09Over here in the UK, there's so many more girls that do ballroom and latin dancing than boys.
18:15So there's lots of same-sex partnerships.
18:17And all I wanted was a boy dance partner and I used to ask for one for Christmas.
18:22But I remember...
18:23That's the cutest thing I ever heard.
18:24I used to save my pocket money.
18:26To buy one.
18:29You got your first one at four.
18:30Four.
18:31He was seven years old and he was so embarrassed because I was so short.
18:37So he always asked me, just please not to tell anyone that you are four.
18:41I know, I know.
18:43It was crazy.
18:44My mum used to do this hair, like very high on top there, to just make me a little bit higher.
18:50So at the age of 12, I met this wonderful teacher and I really was so passionate to go
18:56and study with her.
18:57I had to move to Italy on my own.
18:5912 is really, really young to move.
19:03It was a really hard choice for my parents and I'm really grateful for giving me the opportunity
19:08to go and pursue my goal.
19:15I finished school and I went to university and then went onto stage and just fell in love.
19:20Did you always want to go from a competitive career to the theatre or it just happened?
19:24No.
19:25Maybe I'll use dancing, the thing that I've done for my whole life, and just try and make
19:30a career out of it.
19:31And then I would see like all of my friends kind of transition into the world of strip
19:37and then we kept dancing and I was just like, I really want to do that job.
19:42So I auditioned for a few years before I finally got the job.
19:45I kind of really didn't want to take no for an answer, so I kept trying again and kept trying
19:50again.
19:51When I got the call, I remember just thinking, this is it.
19:55When I finished my competitive career, I just really wanted to try something new.
20:00I remember Jason Gilkinson asking if I would like to be his assistant.
20:05And I remember saying, absolutely, yes.
20:07So I had a call with him and two days later, I was already here.
20:11I remember sitting there for two years thinking, I just so want to be on that floor.
20:17In 2018, I actually joined the show.
20:21It was such a magical experience.
20:25It is special the first time you dance on that floor.
20:27Very special.
20:30What would you say to a younger dancer, Lauren?
20:34Dance how you feel, don't dance how you think you should look.
20:39That's a great one.
20:41How about you?
20:43I would say, well done.
20:47I love you and I'm proud of you.
20:50Little determined Luba, she made it.
20:52She's not finished yet.
20:55Wait.
20:56Oh, I like that.
20:57It's only starting.
20:58Watch this face.
20:59Watch this face.
21:04What surprise have we got coming up from Luba?
21:07Can't wait.
21:07Now, our next guest let their hearts lead the way as they shared a story that truly mattered
21:13to them.
21:13But after mixed reviews from the judges for the Roomba, can George and Alexis Salsa deliver
21:18enough heat and hips to get the Tower Ballroom on its feet?
21:22I'll be finding out after a reminder of last Saturday's performance.
21:25Sometimes it's about the music, the feeling and the message and you delivered it with all
21:34of you.
21:36Technically, it wasn't great, but the story was absolutely magnificent.
21:42You told that beautifully.
21:43I have to tell you, I loved it.
21:47I feel like you're the loveliest person to dance with in this competition.
21:52You're a wonderful, wonderful partner.
21:58It's George and Alexis, everybody.
22:01George, your main goal was to give this dance to your family as a token of your love.
22:06How special was it on Saturday to feel that you actually achieved that and with so much
22:11pressure?
22:12Yeah.
22:12No, it was, it was, I mean, it was very special to be able to do that.
22:16I'm grateful to even have the opportunity to do that song and for Alexis to be able to
22:22choreograph it in such a way that is so sort of lovely.
22:26But yeah, it does add a little bit more pressure.
22:28Yeah.
22:29And I felt like I felt it a little bit in the dance, but you said to me beforehand,
22:33and just perform it, just go for it.
22:37Like, you can think about technique all your life, but just perform it.
22:39This is sort of what you wanted the dance to be, so go for it.
22:42Yeah, and that's what it is.
22:44It's being in that moment and being like your truest, most vulnerable, beautiful self.
22:49And also you had your parents in the audience, Nikki and Sean were there watching.
22:52Yeah.
22:52What did they make of the performance afterwards?
22:55They were unbelievably proud.
22:57I mean, I went over and sort of obviously gave them a hug and stuff.
23:00They told me that they loved me.
23:01And so that was nice to hear that for the first time.
23:07I'm joking.
23:09But my dad was like, he just said, I don't know why you've put that much pressure on yourself.
23:14That's just like insane.
23:15But he was very happy with it.
23:17So was my mom.
23:18But like you wanted to achieve what a beautiful gift to give to them.
23:20Yeah, yeah.
23:21What a beautiful, beautiful gift.
23:23And Alexis, at the end of your dance, you said to George, you did it.
23:27You literally said those words to him.
23:28How challenging was it in the training process, though, to do this dance that was so emotional for the two of you, really?
23:34Yeah, I mean, it's challenging because you're being vulnerable.
23:38And you're putting yourself out there, putting your story out there.
23:41And he definitely was putting that pressure on himself.
23:45And I was just like, at the end of the day, like, I want you to do this for you, for your family, and be proud of how you felt after.
23:52And I think that's where we really dug on that performance.
23:55And we took it day by day.
23:57And I was just so proud of how we did.
23:59And it was so beautiful to dance with him in that, because I felt it as I was dancing with him, too.
24:03It was really special.
24:04Would you say that you actually felt like a dancer in that moment?
24:07Um, I think so.
24:09I mean, I think it was one of the, I definitely felt myself not doing it as well as we'd done in the past.
24:15But I think it was the first time that I completely looked past that and was just, like, okay with, like, the, just the feeling of how it went.
24:22Darling, you danced.
24:24It was amazing.
24:25Well, we also saw on social someone else who was very proud of that performance, your sister, Emily.
24:31She said this.
24:33She wrote, thank you for honoring our amazing mom in such a stunning dance, Georgie.
24:38And beautiful choreography from Alexis.
24:40That was truly beautiful.
24:42You were so brave this evening.
24:44And I am so incredibly proud of you.
24:46What lovely words from Emily.
24:49And speaking of choreography, Alexis, you chose to take the Roomba with a more contemporary direction.
24:56After hearing Craig's comments about it not actually being a Roomba, reflecting on it, are you still happy you chose that style?
25:02I'm very happy with it.
25:03And obviously, I respect what all the judges say.
25:06And we appreciate the feedback, the constructive criticism.
25:09I do feel like that there was Roomba content in it as well.
25:13It was definitely danced more contemporary.
25:14But we still had our swivels, spot turns, alamanas, opening outs.
25:20Of course, the alamanas.
25:21Telespins and overturns.
25:23And I was like, guys, let me just tell you.
25:26But yeah, but it was definitely my goal, especially with the song.
25:29It moved me in such that floaty, airy way.
25:32And so I wanted to kind of take that approach onto the Roomba.
25:36Yeah.
25:37Well, sometimes it's more than about the steps.
25:39And that's what you delivered with that Roomba.
25:41So well done again.
25:42And the Roomba's done.
25:43We're switching gears ever so slightly.
25:46You're doing a salsa to this.
25:49I mean, talk about a shift.
25:57Yeah.
25:57No, it's a real one.
25:59Oh, my gosh.
26:00But it's great.
26:01It's a great shift.
26:02Now, everybody wants to make it to this point in the competition.
26:05How does it feel knowing that you're about to dance in the legendary Tarabauru?
26:09I mean, I feel like I've heard a lot about it.
26:11And I'm not quite, I don't know if I can, you can sort of prepare yourself for it.
26:17How do you prepare yourself?
26:18I know.
26:19But it's very, it feels very, it's like a privilege to sort of be on my own little dance
26:24journey and to have, to be able to dance somewhere that I know the pros and a lot of
26:28dancers would love to be able to dance.
26:32So that's, that'll be just like a very cool feeling, I think.
26:35I promise you, once you get there, you're going to feel the magic in that space.
26:37It's beautiful.
26:39And unless it's also your first time going to the iconic Tarabauru room, what are you
26:43most looking forward to about doing your salsa there?
26:46I think experiencing it with George.
26:47We're, this is such a, this is such a big first for both of us.
26:52And so I am just so excited.
26:54This routine has been so fun.
26:57And this is the two of you on Tuesday.
27:01What made you laugh?
27:02Fill me in.
27:03What made me laugh is that I can see that I was clearly waffling some form of
27:07nonsense to you the whole way through.
27:09Yes.
27:09And my hips were hurting as well as I was kicking.
27:11So I just looked like a noodle at the minute.
27:13Well, it's all right.
27:14Because we're leaving it for the surprise on Saturday night, everybody.
27:17But how excited are you to be dancing with extra dancers?
27:20You've got five additional dancers in the routine with you.
27:22How's that going?
27:23I think initially I said to Alexa, like, this could go horribly wrong.
27:28That is, like, terrifying to me.
27:30The fact that, like, usually I'm sort of just the lower 50% of dancers in the room.
27:36Now I'm sort of 10% maybe.
27:39It's, it's, it's, it's really quite scary.
27:42But it's, I feel like because of the way the salsa is, because of the song we've got,
27:47it just kind of aids to the whole thing.
27:49It does.
27:49And obviously I'm aware they weren't there to try and sort of steal the show.
27:52But it's, it's all sort of just lifting up to this sort of just like party atmosphere.
27:57And it's just like really.
27:58But they're there for you, George.
27:59I know.
27:59They're there for you.
28:00And just, just feed off of that energy.
28:02Exactly, yeah.
28:02Because this also, I mean, Rock This Party, right?
28:04That's the name of the song.
28:05Yes.
28:05So just literally look around the room when you're dancing with all of them and be like,
28:08oh, cool, that guy's looking good.
28:10That girl's looking great.
28:10I'm going to look even better.
28:12That would be my advice.
28:13Bring the party.
28:14Well, good luck on Saturday.
28:15Let's hear it for George and Alexis.
28:20Well, that is it for tonight.
28:22I'll be back tomorrow where roving reporter Tasha will be backstage in the Tower Ballroom,
28:27catching up with all of the celebs.
28:29Plus, OJ Borge is back.
