00:00Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munrara.
00:24Hello, and welcome to your midweek, It Takes Two.
00:33We are live on BBC Two and iPlayer, and what a show I've got for you tonight.
00:40Last Saturday was Absolute Cinema, and I've got three of the starring couples who all
00:45achieved the highest scores of the series.
00:48In just a moment, I'll be catching up with the show openers, Amber and Nikita, but let's
00:52see what else I've got lined up.
00:55Lewis and Katia put movie week to the sword with a Paso Doble that got the first 10 of
01:00the series.
01:01There's no way to mask it, but has their early rise to the top of the leaderboard added more
01:06pressure to their foxtrot?
01:08A little five from Craig never killed nobody, and a couple of sevens later, Vicky was jumping
01:14for joy on Saturday.
01:16But will her and Kai be able to keep up the enthusiasm for the samba this week?
01:20And as the competition heats up, we're off to the training room for the first time this
01:25week to see how preparations are going for six of our couples.
01:29But first, the hills were alive with the sound of Strictly last Saturday, as Amber and Nikita
01:35kicked off movie week with a routine that really set a benchmark.
01:39The footwork today was just beautiful, and then the emotions that you brought to the dance,
01:48for me, it was exquisite.
01:49This is absolutely stunning.
01:52And those lifts, unbelievable.
01:55That was so clean.
01:57You had fluidity throughout, and that six o'clock punche, darling, was Oscar winning.
02:06It's Amber and Nikita.
02:09Amber, opened movie week.
02:12How were the nerves going into last Saturday?
02:14I thought that was intense, opening.
02:17Yeah.
02:18But I loved it.
02:19As soon as we did it, I think I actually said to you, I loved that.
02:23I loved the routine.
02:25I found it difficult at the start of the week, the footwork with the foxtrot.
02:29Yeah, you were saying, I remember.
02:30But once it clicked, I really enjoyed doing that dance with you.
02:34I loved it.
02:34Yeah, beautiful flow, beautiful elegance.
02:37And you said to Claudia that Saturday might have been one of the best days of your life.
02:41What was it that made it so special?
02:43Cynthia was there.
02:43Yeah, of course.
02:44Yeah.
02:45Cynthia.
02:46Do you know she was so down to earth, wasn't she?
02:49She was so in peace with herself.
02:51And she genuinely wanted us, every single couple, to do well.
02:55Yeah.
02:56She was giving us real, true advice, and she cared.
02:59And I just, you know, she's everything.
03:02I know, and I know you're a big fan of hers.
03:04I am.
03:04You mentioned it a few times, I know.
03:06Benches, Nikita.
03:08Bikes, I mean, lifts.
03:10Craig highlighted some weird time signatures that she did so well.
03:13You must have been so proud of how Amber did on Saturday night.
03:16Oh, so, so proud.
03:18And, you know, I put everything in that choreo, whatever you can, and the time music, and the changes, and switch off to Foxtrot and everything.
03:26And Amber took such care and dedication to actually learn those Foxtrot bits.
03:31There was three heel turns.
03:33Are you mad?
03:34Who is going to do three heel turns?
03:35Do you know what I mean?
03:36Amber.
03:36Yeah.
03:37No, but so, so proud.
03:39She took it so, so well.
03:40Good.
03:40Well, we also noticed this moment, though.
03:43Have a look.
03:44There you are, getting your scores, your results, and Ali is giving you a cuddle.
03:49You know, I love that woman so much.
03:53Yes.
03:54That is so sweet.
03:54She is, like, your number one fan.
03:57Yeah.
03:58And I'm her number one fan.
03:59She was the, her performance on Saturday night blew me away.
04:02Was incredible.
04:03Yeah.
04:04Absolutely.
04:04She is, like what Motzi said, she's the most improved, like, 100%.
04:08She is?
04:08She's amazing.
04:09But isn't it nice to get the support from everybody backstage in the group?
04:12I feel like we are a tight unit.
04:15Yeah.
04:15And although it's a competition, everybody, all the pros help everybody out, I find.
04:20Yeah.
04:20Yeah.
04:21You know, like, Diane gives advice here and there, and Lauren's been amazing with me.
04:26Every single...
04:27There's a real camaraderie on the show, and that's lovely, because everybody's there for each other.
04:30But, Nikita, the highest ever movie week score for you, the first nine of the series...
04:35Is it the highest ever?
04:36I know.
04:37Wow.
04:37It is.
04:38It is.
04:39And I'm like, that's pretty amazing.
04:41First nine's for you two as well.
04:42How impressed are you with the way that Amber was able to play the role?
04:46Oh, so, so impressed.
04:47I think she just embodied the character.
04:50Frankly, that opening the show was so stressful.
04:54It's always stressful.
04:55Yeah.
04:55You know it.
04:56Especially on the big themed week, like movie.
04:58Big themed week, yes.
04:59But I felt like we just gelled.
05:02You know, like when you're floating, I felt like we just gelled and we were just...
05:06We had this magic bubble, like almost we were just like, Peter Pan and Wendy, we're just flying in the air and somehow everything just happened.
05:13And I just remember smiling and genuinely, like I'm smiling at Amber, Amber's smiling at me and we just did this to each other.
05:19Like, and it just, everything was so genuine and such, I don't know, it was just such a beautiful, beautiful performance.
05:24We put a lot of work in last week.
05:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:27In the moment, I felt like, oh, it's paid off.
05:29It paid off.
05:30It certainly did.
05:31Now, moving on to this week, though, because you're through, baby.
05:35And you're dancing the first Argentin tango series.
05:38You say it.
05:39You say it.
05:41To this.
05:43Angel of my dreams.
05:45Angel of my dreams, Jade.
05:48Massive change of pace, though, for you from last week's dance.
05:51Now, this video that we've got here is from yesterday, I believe.
05:56So, what was it like transitioning for you at the beginning of the week?
05:59Because this is looking really good.
06:01Worlds apart.
06:03Worlds apart from last week.
06:06Do you know what?
06:07It's the first time I've looked at a routine and I've thought, I don't know if I'm going to be able to achieve that.
06:13Really? She messaged me twice now, two nights, Monday evening, Tuesday evening.
06:18I'm not sure, Nikita, if we're going to be able to do that.
06:21Are you sure?
06:22I know you're confident in me.
06:23You trust me.
06:23But we will manage to do that.
06:25Oh, my gosh.
06:27I was up last night until two o'clock in the morning in my kitchen just going over the routine.
06:34Just so I could come in today and be like, okay, I think I'm confident with it.
06:38But for me, it's a massive compliment.
06:42Because Nikita sets the bar so high.
06:46And it's like, no one believes in me more than Nikita.
06:50Like, I've never had someone in my life that, like, he knows what I can do.
06:55Or if I try, I can achieve.
06:57Yes.
06:58You know, it's lovely to, like, spend time with someone.
07:00But he really believes in you.
07:01And Nikita has high expectations.
07:02Because the last time that Nikita did an Argentine Tango, he did it with Leighton.
07:06And they got incredible scores.
07:07He got a 39 the first time around.
07:09And then a 40 when you did it again in the final.
07:11What are you doing, Nikita, to make sure that you maintain that kind of excellent record now with Amber?
07:16Arguably, she would have been 240.
07:17I'm just joking.
07:18I'm just joking.
07:19I'm just playing.
07:20I agree.
07:20I'm just playing.
07:22I love you, Craig.
07:24We, honestly, Argentine Tango has a special place in my heart.
07:28Especially on this show.
07:29And I remember last time when I and my celeb, Amber, we are pushing so hard.
07:38Like, we are not taking any break.
07:41We are going from 9 to 6.
07:42And we are hammering, hammering.
07:44We are...
07:45The room is, like, quiet.
07:47And we just go and relentlessly go.
07:50We want to make it amazing.
07:53We want to make it fantastic.
07:54Wait, you also...
07:55I'm just going to...
07:56You're also having a little bit of fun.
07:57Oh, no!
07:58Because...
07:59No, no, no, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
08:00Because there was a training room first that happened this week for you, Nikita.
08:04Have a look at this.
08:05Watch.
08:05Oh, my little toe came out today.
08:08Hmm.
08:10Is that a sign that you're working hard?
08:13To be honest, I've actually never seen anybody doing that.
08:15It's not really my cup of tea, you know?
08:18It's not your cup of tea!
08:19No, listen, those things happen as well.
08:21I've never said...
08:22Who brings their little toe out?
08:24It takes views everywhere.
08:26I'm going to tell you now, Amber, that happened to me as well.
08:29And do you know why that's happening?
08:30Because you're using your feet and pointing your toes so well.
08:33I knew it was a sign of hard work.
08:35Yes, it's a sign of hard work.
08:37Nikita, get into it.
08:38It's going to be a cup of tea.
08:39Should I bring them up?
08:40Yeah.
08:44Well, good luck.
08:45I'm really excited for this Argentine tango.
08:47You're going to be brilliant.
08:48Trust yourself and trust Nikita.
08:49Let's hear it for Amber and Nikita.
08:54As the competition gets into full swing,
08:57it's a case of eat, sleep, train, repeat for our couples.
09:01And as we're not allowed to film them eating and sleeping,
09:04here's six of them in the training room.
09:05I think the most challenging bit about the tango
09:09is the fact that your torso is doing a completely different thing to your hips.
09:13Where are you going?
09:14Where are you going?
09:15He's the leader, so I just want him to fully embody that taking charge attitude.
09:21No, we just started.
09:23I'm hoping I end up being a tango boy.
09:26Come back.
09:27Otherwise, this will be really embarrassing.
09:29The hardest thing for the wine is Chata Chai is definitely going to be the changes of rhythm
09:34and then just the sheer amount of steps.
09:36Three lock steps and three lock step zigzags.
09:40It's going to be fast, a lot of footwork and arms at the same time.
09:43Tikita.
09:44That's it.
09:45This week, we are dancing the Paso Doble.
09:57It seems like it's quite a passionate, fiery, sort of staccato dance.
10:03Walk.
10:03When we walk, we need to walk with intensity and thickness through the feet and through the body,
10:07which is something we're working on.
10:09I'm hoping to do enough to stay in the competition.
10:13One, two, stop.
10:15Yeah, gorgeous, gorgeous.
10:17Dancing salsa is so much out of Chris's comfort zone.
10:22Does the world of action come naturally to me?
10:23No.
10:24Push.
10:25Push.
10:26It's a lot of small movements in your body.
10:28You're doing a little bit of a Zumba class.
10:30It's not just the hips, it's the knees, it's the stomach, it's the shoulders.
10:34I'm sure he's going to make it work.
10:36Turn, turn, turn, turn.
10:37Turn, turn.
10:38Turn, turn.
10:40Step, hop, step, hop, tap.
10:42Very good.
10:43This week, we are dancing the Quick Step.
10:46And it's quick, it's powerful.
10:48Step, hop, quick, quick.
10:49It's fast, it's fierce, it's energetic.
10:52Run, run, run, run.
10:54I am looking forward to this dance.
10:56I'm hoping that we will bring, like, a different side of some finesse as well.
11:00Beautiful.
11:01That's the turn.
11:02Very good.
11:03One.
11:04Roomba is one of the most difficult dances on Planet Earth.
11:08You can't get away with anything.
11:10Stop.
11:12Every single move is exposed.
11:14Straight in the knee, friend.
11:15Two.
11:16One thing that I want to get right is her having beautiful transitions between movements, because
11:21I think that will seal the deal.
11:23You see how easy it is?
11:25Ish.
11:30Right.
11:30Vicky and Kai took us back to the Roaring Twenties last Saturday with a Charleston that
11:34was fun, thrilling, and so fast that it left Kai dripping like an egg sandwich.
11:41Vicky's words, not mine.
11:43But if you've forgotten, here's a little catch-up.
11:45Ay.
11:46There was so much nervousness this morning, and it was gone.
11:53You had the time of your life on that dance floor today.
11:56It didn't have any swivel at all, which made it just look flat-footed, and that, in turn,
12:02then made it look heavy.
12:03You've got a lot to give, and you're only just scratching the surface.
12:07I want more, more, more, because I think you've got it in you.
12:14It's Vicky and Kai, everybody.
12:17A rollercoaster of a weekend for the two of you.
12:20I mean, you had the high of the sevens, but then the low of having to wait till the last
12:24four to find out your fate.
12:25I know.
12:26How do you feel about it, though, Vicky, looking back now?
12:29Do you know what?
12:30Like, I found the Charleston hard, I'm not going to lie.
12:33She's really fast.
12:35She had a lot of lifts.
12:36She's a chick.
12:38Oh, she's a minx.
12:39Oh, I see.
12:40She is a minx.
12:41So, yeah, she's got to be a girl.
12:42She's cheeky.
12:43But it's meant to be a party.
12:46It's meant to be fun, and, like, that's what I tried to channel.
12:49And I did...
12:50I do think I had a laugh doing it.
12:53Did we...
12:53Did you?
12:54Oh, I had a right laugh.
12:54Did you?
12:55Yeah, I had a right laugh.
12:56And obviously, it was, like you say, a bit of a rollercoaster forward, but I am still proud of it.
13:03Yes, as you should be.
13:04And you did say to Fleur that you wanted to kind of feel like you were at a party when you were doing it.
13:08So, where did it rank compared to your usual nights out?
13:11Okay, so what I said about this dance is that I want to show everybody what comes before part B.
13:18Part A!
13:23I thought we did.
13:24I thought you did.
13:25I definitely thought you did.
13:27But, Kai, the lifts and the routine were not easy.
13:29They were really tough.
13:30She pulled them off.
13:31What was it like for her learning them?
13:33Do you know what?
13:33It was interesting because you're not afraid of heights particularly getting chucked about.
13:37Like, you weren't worried about that sort of thing, which is kind of the main thing in lifts.
13:40But it was more the technical side.
13:42And the lifts that we executed were fast and very kind of tricky.
13:46So, I was very, very, very proud of her to do those.
13:49But, yeah, gives me a bit of free reign, hopefully, if we get a little bit further on in the competition.
13:52And he's thinking, oh, no.
13:54Honestly, Jeanette, I heard him on the phone the week before and he was talking to the choreographer and he was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:59I don't want our feet to be on the floor.
14:01Just chuck the kitchen, sink it up.
14:03But it is the best score of your series, right, so far.
14:11You have improved one point each week in the competition, so you're going in the right direction.
14:16But with the competition heating up now, how did you feel about the scores?
14:19Were you happy?
14:21Mate, I was over the moon.
14:23I've never danced before in me life.
14:25I didn't think I was ever going to get a seven.
14:28And the fact that we got one on week two.
14:30We got two, didn't we?
14:31We got two sevens.
14:31We got two sevens on week three.
14:33I'm thrilled at the ribbons.
14:35I know everybody.
14:36It's different.
14:37I think you need to write a book with all these quotes, you know?
14:40Thrilled to ribbons.
14:40It's never ending.
14:41Yeah, yeah.
14:41It's terrible.
14:42But we have a message for you from Sarah.
14:44She wrote this on Instagram.
14:46And she says, you were so good tonight.
14:48Please don't feel disappointed.
14:50I wanted to give you a cuddle so badly when the judges were commenting.
14:53I can totally see you doing this again in the final.
14:57Whoa.
14:58Wait.
14:59I was going, who is Sarah?
15:02I'm not.
15:03And how can I get her on the judging panel?
15:06Exactly.
15:07You see, you've got so much public support.
15:09That must feel nice.
15:10Honestly, mate, like, I don't know if I've ever told you this, Jeanette,
15:14but I remember Pete told us when, who did it last year, told us the minute...
15:18I'm sorry, who?
15:19Pete, who?
15:19Pete, who?
15:20I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
15:24Pete said to us at the start of this, he says, listen, Vic, he says, you're never going to be the best dancer.
15:30You can work as hard as you want, but you'll probably never be the best.
15:33He said, but if you just go on there and be yourself, he said, everybody will hopefully see what I saw and fall in love for you a little bit.
15:42Honestly, he's the nicest man, and the fact that, I know I'm not the best, Jeanette, but I really am trying.
15:49But it's not about that, it's not about that, it's about the J word, the journey.
15:54We love the journey.
15:55Well, listen, it doesn't matter because you're through, baby.
15:58Come on.
15:58So let's focus on this week, you're going to be dancing a samba to this.
16:05La Isla Bonita by Madonna.
16:08That's how I would say it.
16:10Madonna.
16:11That was really sexy.
16:13Bienvenidos.
16:14All right, so how have you been getting on, how are you getting into the groove of the training for it?
16:18How are we getting in the groove?
16:20Well, do you know what?
16:21It's a very good question.
16:22I'll say this, Jeanette, the samba is known as...
16:24This was yesterday, and honestly, it looks good.
16:27And it's improved since then, would you believe?
16:30Yes.
16:30Everyone gives the samba a bad rep, but I didn't tell Vicky about the samba, the death dance, and she was like, I think I might be enjoying it.
16:40Yes!
16:42Get in, Vicky!
16:42We're going with that theme.
16:44We're enjoying it.
16:44We're having fun.
16:46And yeah, I think she's doing a fab job.
16:48Yes.
16:49You ought to be kind.
16:49But I think it might have something to do with your shoes.
16:53Because you posted on your socials that you got new shoes this week.
16:56No, that's a liberty, that.
17:00That is a liberty.
17:02Have they helped, though?
17:03Have you enjoyed rehearsing in there?
17:04Do you know what?
17:05Like, out of all the shoes I've had, I feel like these are the most comfortable.
17:10But they look like orthopedics, so I'm not surprised they're comfortable.
17:15Well, listen, we've got a little something that's come in for you.
17:17Live.
17:18We love a live.
17:18So let's see, this is from Briony, and she's asking, have you taught Kai any Geordie slang?
17:27Ah, oh, gosh, I don't know if any of it's appropriate for the baby.
17:31No, you know what you do say.
17:32Remember, you know what you do say.
17:34Yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:34I know, I'm always pushing the boundaries, Jeanette, I'm sorry.
17:36Whenever, like, we have, like, a bathroom break or something, we go back to him and he goes,
17:39How are they?
17:40How are they?
17:40How are they?
17:41How are they?
17:42Come on, then.
17:42It means, come on, let's go back to it.
17:44So I go, how are they?
17:45And now he's started doing it as well.
17:47Yeah.
17:47He's good at the accent, isn't he?
17:48He is really good.
17:49I've seen him.
17:50We've all seen him, haven't we?
17:51He's good at it.
17:51Far too much.
17:52Kai, how important, though, is it, I mean, the samba has a lot of bounce.
17:56Yes.
17:56How important is the bounce action for her to get?
17:59Is she getting there?
17:59Is it working?
18:00Very important.
18:01But it's one thing that the judges look for.
18:03But luckily, I mean, I'm not going to speak too soon, but I think we're on a good streak at the moment when we finish rehearsals today,
18:08is that it kind of comes a little bit naturally to Vic.
18:11So we don't talk about it?
18:12We don't talk about it, we just let it happen.
18:13We just let the bounce happen, and you're going to be bouncing all over the floor on Saturday night, baby.
18:17Good luck.
18:18Let's hear it for Vicky and Kai.
18:20Thank you, too.
18:23Right.
18:24Strictly is all about seeing our celebs learn how to dance, but everybody has to start somewhere, including our pros.
18:30Here's Nancy and Michelle to tell us about their own ballroom beginnings.
18:34Nish, where in the world you start your first Latin ball dance?
18:45In the little town of Limassol and the little island of Cyprus.
18:49So remember what I wore?
18:50Gold boots, knee-high.
18:51Yeah, right.
18:52The teacher actually went to my mum after and said, I think your daughter should find a new hobby.
18:58She's not very good.
18:59Rude.
19:00My first ever dance class was in Hwaihua, South China.
19:06And I remember my dance teacher told my mum, her face is too white.
19:11No!
19:11It's less than you on TV.
19:13Yes.
19:14But actually, this is a message to all the young children out there, never to lose hope, because anything is possible.
19:22Absolutely.
19:23I started as a traditional Chinese dancer.
19:28Latin ballroom wasn't even popular in my town.
19:31It was maybe popular in Shanghai, Beijing.
19:34Okay.
19:34And my father even explained, well, so it's just a boy holding a girl's hand, and we dance together.
19:40And we don't even talk about the name of the type of a dance.
19:45We're talking about the quick three-step, slow three-step.
19:49Oh, my God.
19:50It's funny because there were not a lot of Cypriot people.
19:53My teacher was Russian, and I was dancing with a little Russian boy.
19:58Oh, stop.
19:59He was so cute.
20:01And we were like the complete opposite.
20:02It was like the dark skin and like black hair, and he was white and blonde, and together we just looked really cute.
20:09Listen, in China we said, finding a right dance partner is even harder than finding your marriage.
20:20Yes.
20:22My dance teacher would say to me, you guys should go to England to see how the world's top couples dance like.
20:31Because it's a dream factory.
20:34Mm, the thing that sort of sent a shock in my system was how many couples were on the floor at the same time.
20:41You know, I was used to maybe like five couples on the floor, you know, in different rounds.
20:46There was about 100 couples on the floor at the same time, and you're thinking, how am I going to dance?
20:51I moved to the UK to study architecture, which I completely stopped dancing for about five, six years.
20:58Completely stopped.
21:00Completely stopped.
21:00No touching your Latin shoes.
21:02No touching, because I just had no time.
21:05But this is what made me think, like re-evaluate my life and think, what's your number one passion?
21:11And it was always dancing.
21:13And I just went full out.
21:18I said, I need to try.
21:19So many people told me, no, it's too late.
21:21How are you going to do that?
21:22And I actually got Strictly, then they all understood.
21:28The first time when I'm watching the show, I knew there's something, there's a connection.
21:33So you kind of manifested it.
21:35Yeah, I definitely manifested it.
21:37I believe that.
21:39I caught my family, of course, and my mom was straightaway quiet.
21:42And I was like, oh my gosh, I never seen my mom get emotional.
21:47I don't know how to react.
21:49I remember one of my teachers from school come and tell me, when I was like 10, like,
21:53oh, you're going to be on Strictly when you get older.
21:55And in my head, I thought, yeah, yeah, I am.
21:57I actually have the same reaction for myself.
22:00Yes, yes, I did.
22:02Part of the reason also why we've come to this point is because we've always known what we wanted.
22:09You know, we've never let anyone say, well, you shouldn't do this.
22:12And I think this is so important.
22:14We only need some talent to the blood.
22:16In the blood.
22:17Yeah, it's in the blood.
22:18Cheers.
22:21Thanks to Nancy and Michelle for sharing their stories.
22:24And they'll be here in studio next week with Luba in the return of Ask the Pros.
22:28It's your chance to ask the burning questions you'd most like to know.
22:33So get those phones out and get messaging.
22:35Here's how.
22:36If you want to ask the pros to know how it's done, it's 0800-0223-801.
22:43That's 0800-0223-801.
22:47Yeah!
22:48Yeah!
22:48Yeah!
22:50Yeah!
22:50Yeah!
22:50Yeah!
22:50Yeah!
22:50Yeah!
22:51Yeah!
22:51Yeah!
22:51Yeah!
22:52Yeah!
22:52Professional chat dancers and chuffed to bits with that.
22:54All right, remember, send your questions in as a message video or voice note.
23:00All right, back to the show.
23:01Lewis and Katia were on point at the weekend as they produced a perfect paso.
23:06Well, at least Mozzie thought so.
23:13Here's how it unfolded.
23:16The man behind the mask was quite phenomenal this evening.
23:22Well done.
23:22This was a much more controlled performance night, which elevated your dance to another
23:29level.
23:30It was simply wonderful.
23:32It was just fantastic.
23:34And for me, this was the dance of the night, without a question.
23:38Well done.
23:41Give it up for Lewis and Katia.
23:44Let's jump straight into it.
23:46Let's do it.
23:46The first 10 in the series.
23:48Yes!
23:48Oh, what does it mean to you to get that perfect mark?
23:54Oh, that was just crazy.
23:55It feels like that was, like, building up right from the beginning.
23:58I think it was, like, the graft over the weeks and weeks and weeks.
24:01It wasn't just that dance, really, was it?
24:02Mm-hmm.
24:03You're right, actually.
24:04It was just wild, wasn't it?
24:05It was week one, week two, and we worked and worked and worked.
24:09And we saw the costumes, the hat, it just felt like a right moment, didn't it?
24:14Yeah, movie week.
24:15Yeah, everything just kind of went together.
24:17Such a great week as well.
24:18And what a great themed night to do it on as well.
24:20You almost seemed a little bit muted, though, when Mozi pulled up the 10 in Claudia's era.
24:25What was going through your mind?
24:26I think I was probably just a bit in shock.
24:28I couldn't kind of believe me on eyes, because, yeah, I wasn't expecting, you know, that early on.
24:33So, I think just, yeah, in shock.
24:36Well, we hate to be the ones to bring this up.
24:39There are no lifts in the Paso Doble.
24:41We all know the rules, right?
24:42Right.
24:42But we did notice one.
24:44Lift?
24:45Yeah.
24:45Have a look at this.
24:46What's a good lift?
24:48Oh.
24:50I love that.
24:53But, I mean, you've got to celebrate.
24:55You must be so proud and impressed with what Louis did with this dance.
24:59Yeah.
24:59You worked really hard with him.
25:00Well, Jeanette, also, I must reveal that this is my first dance since December 2017.
25:08Woo!
25:10That is a fun fact.
25:12Thank you so much.
25:14But I said to you, didn't I, the relentless of the show doesn't allow us to celebrate for long enough.
25:21And I literally said, celebrate the entire evening, entire night.
25:25Watch this dance as many times as you can.
25:27Show it to everybody.
25:29Go outside, scream about it.
25:31Oh, Sunday.
25:32Eat a roast.
25:33I don't know.
25:34Do everything.
25:34Every single meal.
25:35Eat every single meal.
25:36Have ten puddings.
25:37Literally, ten puddings.
25:38Because Monday we turn up and it's over.
25:41So, really, really bottle that moment in.
25:42But listen, speaking of celebrations, you have about 5,000 siblings.
25:46I do, yeah.
25:47And what was their reaction then when you got the ten?
25:50Oh, they were all for the moon.
25:51All the kids, they were all at the back of the garden in the bar.
25:54Well, used to be a bar.
25:55But now it's basically a cinema for Strictly.
25:57Yeah.
25:58And they made little paddles and everything.
26:00The paddles said 10,000.
26:02Well, don't worry, because you had a little viewing party on Saturday night, as you mentioned.
26:06And we've got a little sneak peek at it.
26:07Have a look at this.
26:08It's beautiful.
26:17They got the paddles.
26:18Do you know, I get goosebumps saying that.
26:20Because it's so special.
26:22What's it like for you to have so much support from your family?
26:24Oh, it's lovely.
26:25Like, my family have always been there for me.
26:26You know, growing up and stuff.
26:28And every single job, they always support me.
26:30And it's lovely to see them all getting together and watching this as well.
26:32I love it.
26:33Matching PJs.
26:34Yeah, they're all matching PJs.
26:36Oh, matching PJs as well.
26:37But you've been supporting each other as well throughout the journey.
26:40And not just in the dancing, but with personal grooming as well.
26:45I have the gray hair.
26:57Is it a sign that the two of you are very comfortable with each other?
27:00It's going well.
27:00I don't have no time to do anything.
27:02I like to go to the shops or anything.
27:04So I probably have one eyebrow if it wasn't for you.
27:06So thank you.
27:07Everything happens in the rehearsal room.
27:09Just wake up, go to the rehearsal room.
27:11You don't have time, so you've got to do it for each other.
27:13But listen, much to celebrate because you are through to another week.
27:16Yes.
27:16And you're going to be dancing a foxtrot to this.
27:20Oh, I wish.
27:20That is L-O-V-E.
27:24Not King Corp.
27:26I mean, Louis, back to the ballroom.
27:28How have you found the first few days of ballroom?
27:31Well, every Monday, Tuesday.
27:33That was a very deep breath.
27:34Well, every Monday, Tuesday is hot.
27:38This is from yesterday, right?
27:40So it looks good.
27:41Oh, my God.
27:41How are you feeling, Louis?
27:43Tell me, tell me.
27:43When was that?
27:44Tuesday.
27:45That was yesterday.
27:46That's what it looked like yesterday, mate.
27:48It's, yeah.
27:49We're progressing.
27:51You're progressing.
27:52Do you watch that and think, no, because it looks really good already.
27:55I mean, yeah.
27:58The scores have been really good for you two so far, but your lowest score so far was the Viennese Waltz.
28:03Which is ballroom.
28:04But it was still a good score, but the lowest of the ones you've gotten so far.
28:07So, Katia, what are you focusing on mostly for the Foxtrot?
28:10A hundred percent.
28:11We want to show the improvement.
28:13And Foxtrot's really, really difficult down below in a footwork.
28:17But we've been focusing on improving that.
28:20This week's room has been the ping room.
28:22Everything's going to be ping on point, projecting.
28:26And we've been channeling Anton, haven't we?
28:29We have.
28:29I said, look, Anton turns up to every single event,
28:33to every single rehearsal in a three-piece suit.
28:37And that came in a T-shirt.
28:38Exactly.
28:39You've got to have that presence, that oomph, that ping.
28:43Yeah.
28:44So, last week the word was yes, but this week the word is ping.
28:47Can you tease us with anything?
28:49Any little secrets or surprises you've got for us?
28:51I think it's just a really lovely number.
28:55It's the sort of number you can, you know, light the log burner,
28:57get a cup of tea and a pack of biscuits and just really enjoy.
29:01I kind of love that.
29:02I love it.
29:03It's what we want to do on a Saturday night when we're watching you dancing.
29:05So, you're going to find that refinement and the ping.
29:08Exactly.
29:08Hopefully.
29:09Yes.
29:09Well, hopefully.
29:10I think you will.
29:11You need to stop being tough on yourself because you were brilliant at the weekend.
29:13You were.
29:14And I can't wait to see what the two of you are going to do.
29:16Fox Shot, I'll give you my last piece of advice.
29:18Come on.
29:18Like a big wave.
29:21Oh.
29:21Right it, baby.
29:22Think of it like a big wave.
29:23Go swimming, baby.
29:25But swim slowly.
29:26All right.
29:27Well, we can't wait.
29:28Good luck to the two of you.
29:29Let's hear it for Luis and Katia.
29:31And thank you for dressing up.
29:34Anyways, that's all for tonight.
29:37I'll be back tomorrow when I'll be getting a sneak peek at the weekend's outfits with Vicky
29:41Gill.
29:41Plus, I'll be joined by Jimmy and Lauren, Alex and Johannes, and George and Alexis.
29:46That's all tomorrow at 6.30 p.m.
29:48I will see you then.
29:50Have a good night, everyone.
