04:25when I celebrate the feminine silhouette and the volume
04:28honey these little girls ain't got no booties or no breasts
04:30so I'm not exactly sure how this is going to work

04:35the thing that's coming to my mind is a trip I took to Paris
04:38and there were a lot of school children sketching at the Pompidou Center
04:42so I've got this sort of school girl Madeline kind of theme going
04:47this is a tricky challenge anyone can go home on this one
04:51I think all the designers are going to try to be innovative
04:54and put too much of themselves into the design
04:57and I'm just going the opposite way
04:59I'm designing a pretty little dress
05:01it's a very quiet room
05:04we're concentrating it's a very difficult challenge

24:58two looks that I created are very cohesive
25:04through style lines
25:05coloring
25:06the ruffle detail
25:08all of those things
25:09it looks really beautiful on the runway
25:11when they came out it was so graphic and fun
25:20I don't know how it's going to be received
25:22but I know that it's creative
25:24it's different
25:25and it's inspiring
25:26I'm extremely pleased with the two looks and think that I kept my inspiration and my design intact and I'm very proud of that

26:28the color looks gorgeous on her
26:30and it's just really stunning
26:35I'm so excited about my two outfits
26:37it's my first time doing children's wear
26:39and I think she looks absolutely great
26:42I'm so happy with my jacket
26:44it was such a risk with such a bright color
26:46but I think I really turned it out
26:52when I see Haley and Carrie together completely dressed
26:55I think they look so adorable
26:57they just look so cute
26:58and I'm very pleased with the way the two outfits look together

27:13and she looked like a little princess

28:53Jesse, tell us about your two looks
28:55well first the big red coat kind of popped into my head
28:58and then I wanted to match it with just something a little bit more interesting
29:01so I did the A-line section kind of skewed
29:04and then with the next day challenge
29:06decided just to kind of do the very streamlined and tailored look
29:09I think you did a good job
29:11I would have preferred the dress to be straight
29:14well with the detail in the back it's actually skewed
29:17I think that informs the whole thing a little bit more
29:19I think it's a job well done
29:22I love the color combos
29:24and also you attempted to do some real tailoring with that coat
29:27I like that you chose gray because I like unusual colors on little girls
29:32Raeva, how do you like your outfit?
29:35uh, a lot
29:37I think it looks adorable
29:39I think the hair accessories is adorable
29:42and I think the model mom looks pretty good

29:48it's all about comfort
29:50so all my fabrics are really soft
29:52that was important
29:53coarse pink and white
29:54a musk, denim
29:55and I just added my wave flare to it
29:58which is zippers, hardware
30:00and then we gotta put the stars with the labels
30:03and so pulling off that inspiration
30:05I was able to step into my mod
30:08new wave feel, hardware, skinnies, and zipper details

30:22you have an adult's look and a child's look that are both really super and strong
30:28and I have to say that this jacket is the best tailored garment we have seen this season

30:54Savannah is my model
30:55she's eight
30:56so I did this drop waist dress with the ruffling around the hip
30:59and then I paired it back to a pair of denim with the gold lurek
31:03and then with my model I mimicked the ruffling detail
31:06I wanted to make her more adult and more sophisticated
31:10so I've decided to go with the blacks
31:13a lot of design and a lot of thought has gone into it
31:16it's not just like a simple little dress
31:18I think that Monique and Savannah they look really chic
31:22when I first saw it I said wow you know that's a couple mother-daughter that I would notice walking down the street
31:29together they look like a really striking pair and it's that feeling of modern, urban, New York and cool

32:03when I started thinking about children's wear
32:05I thought about being comfortable

32:50well I started with the fabulous Fabriana
32:53I wanted to give her an outfit that was a little girl's dress
32:56but with an edge
32:58when we worked backwards into the adult look
33:00I chose to create a textile with cotton organza
33:03using the same sleeve treatment
33:05and actually the same silver cotton sateen
33:07which is the jacket of Fabriana's outfit
33:10it looks uncomfortable that little bolero
33:12is that comfortable?
33:14it's kind of like pushing into my skin
33:17I think you had the opposite problem than Janine
33:21you went too sophisticated, too conceptual
33:24I understood that this was a risk
33:26I definitely wanted to take a risk
33:28you know, I get what you were going for here
33:31but she literally looks like she got caught in a tornado of toilet paper
33:35and think about the body
33:37my god, if she looks like toilet paper
33:39what is a normal woman going to look like?
33:41Amy, tell us about your look
33:43for beautiful Caitlyn, I did a little petal skirt
33:46I kind of created the textile myself using tonal oranges
33:50and for Allison, I use the same color palette
33:53and I use the same shape as the petals
33:55and I'm actually really excited about it
33:58I have a feeling, Amy, that it wasn't intentional
34:01Caitlyn looks like the house is on fire
34:04and she grabbed every garment in the house
34:07and she just ran out of the house
34:09and then Mom
34:11I mean, those pants are just a train wreck
34:15the entire effect is very confusing

35:09yes, it was a very traditional outfit
35:12and he managed to give it a little bit of a sense of humor

35:25the mom was so sexy
35:26and then you have this traditional beautiful little girl

35:33the dress was really pretty rocking

35:40it was a much more sophisticated take
35:42more hard edge
35:43but then when we got to the child's look
35:46it had whimsy
35:47I think kids love to have a little fun with their clothes
35:50it's a little girl would love to wear that outfit
